Saan Gali, Toopoxican Administrative Possession

The island which had so recently seen off war against marauders had been now put under the possession of the Toopoxican Offshore Territories Department. The island was rich in the resources which bought the original colonial conquest of Saint Gallius here and prompted the purchase of the island by the Toopoxican Trading Organization.
IndentScattered about the ocean which wrapped around Gali were the many islands of the Gallius Archipelago, each richly peppered with resources and many out of the grasp of the TOTD and the Toopoxican Organization.
IndentIn response to the lawlessness of the native islanders and their repeated incursions into Toopoxican waters for the means of Piracy, Murder and Smuggling the TOTD, in association with the Toopoxican Military, have made their plans to halt the spread of this infectious Piracy by the strong arm of Toopoxican force.

++++

Dawn breaks on the glistening turquoise ocean, the residents of Saint Gauls Hope unprepared for the coming onslaught but no less deserving of its effects. The port is a hive of debauchery and lawlessness, home to the strongest proponents of anti Toopoxican Piracy.
IndentFrom some kilometers away a tiny speck on the horizon makes its plans with observational satellites, pinpointing the source of Toopoxican misery first. The speedboats and larger vessels clustered in the simple docks. Then, after launching its first wave, readies a second at the body of the small town. Innocents and Pirates clustered together in the same target as the first wave smashes its way into the simple boats of the enemy flotilla. Turning the emerald waters into a nightmarish wall of fire and death.
IndentThe fleet innocently moves onwards. There are larger targets to identify and bring down before the Infantry can secure the island and mop up whatever little resistance to Toopoxican superiority remains.

Saint Gauls Hope

All in a row knelt the survivors of the unwarranted Toopoxican attack. Their clothes dirty and their faces coated in dust and blood. Walking between the rows of survivors were men in camouflage, their guns held tight to their bodies and their eyes focused on fidgeting trouble makers.
IndentWorking his way down the aisles was a tall man and his companion who held a data pad in his arms. The tall man strapped paper wristbands onto the prisoners, unto which a barcode was printed. "Prisoner SG445. Middle age and well built. Suitable for labor." The companion wrote down the information, attaching it to what data could be read from the barcode. "Prisoner SG446. Elderly and disabled. Not suitable for labor." The old blind man could only hear his judgment and the footsteps as the two men continued their evaluation.
Indent"Occupation of Saint Gauls Hope complete." A soldier stated from the back of an IFV. "Moving onto secondary objectives." In this case meant that the soldiers would be releasing the site to the regular Infantry. The Commandos would be moving onto the lucrative Silver Mines closer to the Mountains to clear the area for advancement. Estimation stated that by the end of the day this island would belong to Toopoxia and the next stage of the Operation could begin.

It was particularly favourable happenstance that had lead to Ian Argent spending a delightful night in the "Dungeon" of Lady Trish (Saint Gauls Hope's leading provider of specialist adult services). First the night's activities had been particularly enjoyable after a couple of profitable months spent at sea. Secondly the Lady dungeon was very well hidden and remarkably deeply buried, after all her clients paid significantly for her discretion and it simply wouldn't do to disturb the neighbours.

Ian, or Captain "Tiny" Argent as he was better known, had almost missed the bombardment, such was the isolation of the lady's quarters and in fact it was the sound of a detonation right above their heads that had alerted both the captain and Trish to the calamitous events taking place above.

Trish was all for ignoring the outside world and continuing the fun, after all her quarters were well stocked and well hidden and they could have a number of playful months before they bothered to find out what undoubtedly horrible events had occurred above them. However Captain Argent had a responsibility to whatever remained of his crew and to his vessel, the Tiger. He simply had to depart and find out had happened before gathering whomever he could and taking terrible vengeance on the perpetrators. And so after pulling on his leather trousers, silk shirt, tactical assault vest, drop leg holster (with F&M model 86 auto revolver chambered for .455 Brannock Magnum of course), sea boots and jaunty pirate captain's hat (for Captain Argent was a true Gentleman of the sea and went nowhere without a hat to be doffed to ladies) he ascended the many steps to the dungeons entrance, cunningly concealed behind the boiler in the basement of what had once been a particularly nice Victorian seaside villa (with stripy wall paper and everything!) and was now simply a charred ruin.

Pausing merely to emit a tut at the devastation caused by those behind the bombardment captain Argent made his way swiftly and remarkably silently (for such a large fellow, for the name Tiny is, as is to expected of sea farers of low wit, an ironic name) into the smoke and chaos and woe betide any whom would choose to cause his path.

I'm not sure if you really wanted a comedy pirate captain but you have one now...

(OOC: I'm a huge fan of the comedy Pirate genre, to the extent that I even have a webcomic devoted to the subject. You're more than welcome especially as you're the only person to show up at all, actually on that subject; you're RPing one person, it's gonna be difficult to escape a city occupied by a Regiment or two.)

IFV's rolled through the ruined streets, their thick knobbly tread tires rolling casually over small debris. The dust clouds kicked up from the naval barrage were beginning to clear.
IndentBuildings were being searched by soldiers fanning out across the city and tearing pirates from their fortresses for evaluation.
IndentAn IFV rolled down towards the ancient Gallian fortress pockmarked with musket balls and cannon shells. A man walked out from the clouds of debris. "Freeze!" The soldiers took cover beside their IFV, pointing their rifles at the startled survivor. "Drop your weapons and move towards the vehicle!" They ordered, having their rifles trained on the suspect.
