IC-
Short History-The Fallen Legion is one of the newer menaces to come out of the outer rim of known space. What little is known about them was gathered either by spies, or on the battlefield. The Fallen Legion is a marauder kingdom. Originating from the Karnak system, they have steadily expanded through the unclaimed rim of known space, seizing small, forgotten colony worlds, and in some cases destroying and taking over local empires. They prefer to operate in the shadows; the fewer who know about them, the fewer who would think to try and stop them. The Fallen Legion is always looking to start wars, just so long as they don't involve the Legion. The few who have maps of the area have noticed that the number of planets held by the Legion increases dramatically during times of great war. They are currently led by Lord Cyrus.

Current Holdings-At last count, 10 systems containing 35 worlds. Constantly expanding.

Government-The Fallen Legion enforce order through fear. They arrive on a planet, destroy all forms of government, and replace it with a never ending military rule. The main form of this is seen in heavily armed tax collectors, who travel in warships and are escorted by platoons of soldiers. The Fallen Legion's territory is ruled from Karnak, the home of the Grand Palace, a structure taking up an entire island. The Legion relies heavily on slave labor for menial tasks, while their army is a small force of elite troops.

Military-The military of the Fallen Legion is one well suited to quick wars of conquest, followed by occupation. The battle infantry (Kasrkin) are highly trained, while the occupation forces (Guardsmen) are geared more towards controlling a conquered world. They are supported by a well balanced mechanized force of tanks, APCs, walkers, and artillery, as well as the Fleet, which is welll-suited to planetary invasions, hit-and-run strikes, and raids, but has the capability to engage in fleet battles.

Infantry
Kasrkin-The battle infantry. These are the troops that are sent in to conquer a world. They are highly trained, well-equipped, and have campaigns worth of experience. Units are led by commissars, who have the power of life and death over the troops under their command. The Kasrkin are willing to sacrifice as many as necessary to accomplish their objective.

Guardsmen-After the Kasrkin conquer a world, the Guardsmen come and administer it. Geared less towards fighting and more towards occupation duties, the Guardsmen are of slightly lesser quality. They are also led by Commissars, who take over the roles of governor, mayor, baron, etc., in order to administer and occupy their sectors of a planet. They have fewer heavy weapons than Kasrkin troops.
