Construction of 3 new VVER-1200 reactors, are near completion. They will be used to power 2 new settlements and a chemical plant, currently designated CITY-1, CITY-3, and Chem-1. These new locations are expected to be completed and occupied by mid summer, with the reactors beginning operation exactly a month before. This is in effort to reduce the number of coal and oil powered stations, and will soon replace the obsolete RMBK style facilities throughout the nation. Several protests were held against the new facilities, but were dealt with shortly after.
