Establishment of a Republic
A proposed law: To replace the King and Prime Minister with a President.
The Process by which a President Shall Be Elected:
All parties will be able to nominate a candidate for the Presidency. The candidate must receive at least 65% of the Party Caucus vote.
After a certain date, an election date will be set. On the election date, all eligible voters over 16 may, if they wish to do so, vote for the Presidential Candidate. The candidate with the most votes after counting is elected President.
The Role of the President:
The President shall assume the equivalent role of the Prime Minister in the House of Legislation, and shall sign bills into law after they have been passed through the House of Review.
