Lockdown in Kika Mana [OPEN]

Leocardia
17-03-2009, 09:01
In about noon, a violent attempt to overthrow the Leocardian government had been staged. Guerrillas armed with Kalashnikovs stormed into the central part of the capitol city and fired rounds repeatedly at civilians. When the police arrived, they were powerless against the highly trained, highly specialized guerrillas. There was one patch on each of the guerrilla's shoulders, recognizing them as part of the militant Dynasty of Leocardia; once the ruling party, they were thought to have been banished by the new fascist dictator, Justin Morales. Estimated civilian casualties resulted in the massive three thousands.

That was last year, but this year was bound to be worst. In an open message uncovered by the Lions Intelligence, the dynastic warriors were once again ready to make their move. In the next few months, planned strikes upon the capitol city were planned for the next anniversary of the formation of the Dynasty. President Justin Morales didn't like this and wanted change; The mass numbers of slaughtered civilians meant too much for him, pressure-wise and politically. There needed action, and action that could prove to any militant group that exists in Leocardia that stability is what the government looks for.

Immediately, the Leocardian United Worker's Army established checkpoints to those entering Kika Mana on every road. All air traffic will be searched by armed army personnel. And the city's ports will be manned with full security provided by the Coast Guard.

Among the army personnel, Scott Peterson, a 1st class private, was ordered with his unit to patrol the north-gate section. His patrol group, a mass of 25 guys, lined up in armored MOWAGs patroled the area every five minutes. With the extra armor and protective gear his unit was equipped with, he thought he'll be in the safest position. Unfortunately, his group was ordered the task to patrol the most dangerous part of town; The town with the most well-known militant groups, a popular spawning and recruiting grounds, and the most dangerous in terms of street-fighting in the whole nation. Peterson's unit, Unit 336, will be entering the Leocardian police-designated zone of "no man's land" and when reinforcement is needed, the response time will be substantially longer wait than the other units on patrol.

[OOC: Anyone want to RP a new militant group, could be from any origin, you can start firing at these MOWAGs. Just make sure it's at least 10,000 and maximum 20,000.]

[OOC2: The city's population is 20.4 million. The size of the city is about the size of all of the Hawaiian Islands combined.]
