Captains Log, Stardate 23455.3
The Valiant is alone, without the Defiant for the first time in nearly Two years. The Defiant has been redirected to Starbase One for a refit to her warp Engines. The Valian herself is not due for a refit for several months and is now on her own until the Defiants refit is completed. I must admit, it's rather weird looking out the portol and not seeing the Defiant sitting off the Bow. Back on ships bussiness, the Valiant is exploring a Star System that appears to have a miniing Colony on the Fourth Planet, but no other sign of life.

The Valiant had flown by the 5th planet twenty minutes ago and was now approaching the planet. The Red, dusty like planet filled the viewscreen. The Vast Mining cities could clearly be seen, even from orbit. They slowly slipped into orbit and began to conduct scans of the surface.

OOC: Ok, in this thread, the Valiant will be destroyed, heres how I'd like it to happen, it's someones system and mine (Obviosuly) and you don't take kindly to the Valiant being there, the Valiant tries to explain but your not having any of it. After a 'Valiant' fight, the ship must be abandoned, at which point more of my ships turn up, pick up the Survivours escape pods, destroy what was left of the Valiant and leave, anyone willing to do something along those lines? Oh and If your willing this will progress to something similar to the Federation-Klingon relations in Star Trek TOS, but thats just an added bonus, it's not essential

The Torturous Chamberlain Navy battlecruisers TCS Weisen and TCS Wotan took off from Starport 35. Their mission was a bit foggy, but a vessel had been caught exploring the area near the colony that the port safeguarded. In these times, the Chamberlains had become increasingly aggressive, and did not take kindly to scouts. So it was as the two ships attempted to make contact with the Battlehawk ship: "Ship of the nation of Battlehawk; what is your business here?"

"We've spooked the home guard Captain" Vaughn reported "Two Ships on intercept course"
"Yellow alert" Elizabeth ordered "Raise Shields"
"We're being hailed" Vaugn added
"Lets hear it" Elizabeth sadi.

IC-As the Torturous Chamberlain ships neared the Battlehawk ship, a cloaked Banshee-class of the Fallen Legion lay in wait. The Fallen Legion were always looking to start wars; it meant less scrutiny on them as they continued to rampage through the unclaimed systems. As the TC ships got within weapons range of the Battlehawk ship, the Banshee readied its kinetic batteries and missile pods. It had to make this look as convincing as possible...

OOC: Would Comorostan be my ally then, so I don't attack his ships? Edit: Never mind obviously not...

"What are your intentions!"

The Banshee's espionage officer turned from his console and motioned to the captain. "These two might destroy each other without our help," he gestured at his console. "The Torturous Chamberlain ships are overacting, and the Battlehawk ship is treating them like little kids." The captain pondered this for a moment. "Keep us here, but take us a bit farther out. If they start shooting, I don't want to get caught in the crossfire."

"Exploring this area that is clearly marked as territory of Torturous Chamber?"

"How would we met new Races if we didn't enter their space, most people don't mind as long as we don't come in phasers firing" Elizabeth commented

"Well there have been many wars with nations that have started with explorations like this, and we don't take kindly to warships in our space."

"Are you refering to yourselves?" Elizabeth asked getting piqued.
"Captain!" Jenny hissed
"And we're not a warship"

"How do explain the marks of hidden guns on your port and starboard bows?"

"He's refering to our Tractor beam emmiters" Vaughn commented.
"That would be a Tractor beam, we don't use Projectile based weapons" Elziabeth said

"I don't believe you. This type of talk has gotten tenfolds of our warships destroyed."

"Cut transmission" Elizabeth ordered, her patience run out "Finish sensor scans then prepare to leave orbit"
The Valians crew got bout their duties, scans were finished and the Valiant was prepareing to leave orbit.

The espionage officer turned. "Sir, they're preparing to leave orbit." The captain turned to his weapons chief. "Prepare to fire. Wait until they are just about to leave, then target their engines and life-support."

OOC: I'll be monitering the situation and intecept the distress call.

Edge of Former Tarsonian Space


The Preliminary fight of the new Scimitar Class Hunter Killer ship was going well. The TSS BladeRunner was going through a series of on board system checks and weapon testings. Testing its purpose as a Long range anti Capital ship frigate was Captain Zell Marius, a young yet able commander.

"Captain, slight power fluctiation in impulse engines, give me five minutes to sort it" Enginer Nostrum reported.
"Fine, hurry up though, don't need to provoke them more" Elizabeth siad

OOC: Needed a reason to be delayed, thus antagonising the Torturious Chamber

"Sir, transmissions have been cut." one ensign said.

"Shit, fire a warning shot over their bridge."

A plasma cannon fired a single shell over the ship.

The Valiant rumbled as her shields were grazed by the shot
"Red Alert all hands to battlestations!" Elizabeth ordered, the Bridge lights dimmed, the Red Alert lights began to flash and klaxons sounded "Enginering Give me engines"
"Online sir!" Nostrum reported.
"Helm, evasive manovour pattern Theta, Commander Vaughn, charge Phasers, load all torpedo bays" ELizabeth ordered "Tactical analysis"
"Plasma Cannon, level three" Vaughn reported.
"Our Chances?" Jenny asked.
"We could take one, we'll be in for a tough fight against two" Vaughn replied
"Hail them"
"Negative, something in that shot fryed out comm antena, we've only got long range contact with Starfleet" Nostrum reported.
"Send an encrypted Subspace message informing them of our situation" Elizabeth ordered

"Holy shit. We didn't even fire yet." The captain turned towards the weapons chief. "Lock down the weapons. The Chamberlains will destroy the ship. Battlehawk will send more ships. We'll hit those."

"There's activity on the ship, looks like they might be rolling out forms of defense," said Wotan's assistant commander.

The captain said, "Disable tractor beams, long range antennae, any form of defense or related, but don't destroy the ship!"

"Target their Weapons and Engines" Elizabeth ordered "We're not in the bussiness of destroying ships"
"Aye sir" Vaughn reported.
"Helm, keep us moving, avoid as many of those plasma cannon shots as you can" Elizabeth added.
The Valiant began to move quickly, and manvoured around the two ships, but waiting for them to fire first.

Bridge of the TSS BladeRunner

"Captain," the bridges Comm officer said over the usual conversations of the bridge. "I seem to be picking up an encrypted message, long range, Cant make out the message yet, but it's origniating from a ship...Battle Hawk faction....Valiant."

Zell spun his chair around to face his first officer. "Didn't we attack, the Valient almost a month ago?"

"Aye sir" His first officer said "the Gamma attack group responded to a contract on the Valiant, in the end they let the Valiant go, after causing conciderable damage. The commissioning party had thought the ship destroyed after the Incursion class BC assigned to the group had captured the Valiant in a cargo hold. After faking its destruction the Battle Hawk claimed to dispatch a new ship, same class with the same name, which was infact the same ship... They are however, by no means allies."

"Still," Zell said, "long range transmissions are usually narrow spec, strait to their government, a broad spec means they're trying to also ping any ships nearby....Distress call?"

"Could be," His first officer replied.

Zell nodded. "Testing is completed, and we are fully armed... We will moniter the situation for now, Comm. Do your best, break that encryption and inform High Chouncelor Rapier of the situation"

"Guns have been spotted sir!"

"Open fire on the specified targets! Focus on the guns first!" the 2 battlecruisers opened up on key targets of the Valiant, but not at all aiming for places that would destroy the ship. The Valiant, however, was quick to return fire.

"They've fired!" Vaughn reported as she ship rumbled under fire.
"Attack Pattern Alpha, target their weapons, all weapons fire at will!" Elizabeth ordered.
The Valiant began to dance around her attackers, phaser beams fired from the arrays spread across the hull, as the Valiant got nose to nose she fired four Photon Torpedo's at the lead ship.
"Damage report!" Elizabeth ordered.
"shields at 87%, minor fluctuation in the EPS grid" Nostrum reported
"Keep us moving, move to pattern Bravvo, engage!"

"Sir," reported the bridge chief, weapons have been fired. We're out of the engagement zone though, so we should be safe, even from a stray shot." "Famous last words," replied the captain, "I want to make sure of it. Back out a bit more. But make sure we're still in range." "Yessir." The bridge chief sketched a salute and hurried to talk with the engine room.

The Weisen was damaged heavily, but not enough to destroy it.

"Fire main guns! I want that ship destroyed!" The main phaser guns opened fire from both cruisers. They were more powerful than any of the other weapons fired in this battle so far...

"Main phasers on Chamberlain ships firing!" yelled out the bridge chief. All heads turned to the main viewport to watch.

Bridge of the TSS Blade Runner

"Captain," the comm officer shouted, "I've cracked the encryption on the Valients message. It seems that they ventured into Tortuous Chamber mining complex and the Tortuans came out swinging."

Zell pondered the situation. "Subspace scans show definate weapons, fire.. theres on hell of a battle going on over there. Inform Chancellor Rapier of the new situation, and request orders."

"Direct hits deck 2-4!" Vaughn reported.
"Nostrum Damage report!" Elizabeth yelled over an explosion
"Shields at 57%, Aft Phaser Arrays off-line, life support failing on decks 3-5" Nostum reported "Microfractures on deck two"
"Helm, bring us about for another pass, fire all weapons!" Elizabeth ordered.
The Valiant turned and came back at the enemy ships, firing all her forward weapons into the two ships.
"Full Axis rotation to port, fire all ventral phasers!"
The Valiant rotated onto her back and fired all of the phasers on her Ventral side. As they got past the two ships they fired aft torpedos,
"Report"
"Took some hits doing that, shields at 46%, EPS Grid is messed up!" Nostrum reported.
"Vaughn, wheres out back-up!"
"Four Starships led by the Intrepid will be here in 6 minutes!" Reported Vaughn
"Lets hold on then!"

TSS Blade Runner

"you do realize that we could be starting an Intersteller war here " the Zell's first mate asked.

"I do" zell replied as the Blade runner descened hyperspace into the battle zone. "but oreders are orders" Scanners started beeping indicating hails coming from both factions involved. "Right now, Tortuans, are wondering who we are and why were are here, and the Batle hawks are wondering if we've come to finish the job and whipe them out.... Hail, the Valiant." The comm officer nodded indicating a comm was up.

"Battle Hawk Faction ship Valiant....might we be of some assistance?"

"Oh good lord!" Vaughn exclaimed "Tarsonis ship on sensors"
"Shit" Elizabeth said bluntly as they shook from weapons fire.
"They are hailing!"

"Well I'll be damned" Elizabeth said turning to the viewscreen "Captain Langley here, any assistance you can offer would be appreciated, I'm not sure we want to know why you want to help at this point"

"Ensure that the Tarsonis ship fights for us, and fire torpedoes straight at the Valiant! Fire all guns at bridge!"

TSS BladeRunner

Zell smiled politely at the Captains comments. "We're a nation of buisness captain, we have very few loyalties not based on money. Your previous encounter with us was a hit, nothing personal, just buisness. However our chancellor believes helping you will earn us possible buisness contacts in your government. Plus it will be good for this prototype to stretch its wings."

The screen went dead as the conversation was over. "Lets get to work. You know the deal. Rapier, coordinate with the Valiants tac officer. Full initial spread of torpedos, follow up by cannon salvo. FIRE" The tortuans were about to find out, why even capital ships were in danger with a Scimitar in the battle.

OOC: No sorry Tarsonis I accidentally put that they were aimed at you I meant at the Valiant. Edit your post accordingly, please.

OOC: yeah i see that now, ill fix it, and also, as for fighting FOR you.....you know how the game with my peeps goes. :D subspace message though. IF you read my fact book u'll know why no emisseries can be used.

The Valiant shook again as more hits from the Toruans struke the last of their shields
"Shields Have failed!" Vaughn reported
"Polarize the hull, evaive patterens" Elizabeth ordered

The Bladerunner lurched forward cutting in between the Valiant and the other vessels, using itself to shield the lower craft before opening fire upon the Chamberlain vessels.

"Keep us in between the vessels" Zell ordered. "We can atleast keep her from being destroyed if not disabled. All weapons lock on to the closest ship and FIRE!" The nearest chamberlain ship became the subject of a massive barage of phaser relays, plasma cannons, and positron torpedos.

OOC: Chamber can you give me some specs on your BC's

OOC: Ok then Comorostan will help me then, I guess.

OOC-I'm not helping anybody. I'm just waiting for a chance to make this war more interesting, preferably by attacking Battlehawk's reinforcements.

A torpedo from the Bladerunner struck the bridge of the Weisen. That was the only weakness of the Chamberlain capital ships; their main shields did not cover the top of the bridge. The hit was not critical, but had killed a few staff officers, and the co-pilot of the ship.

"Damage status! yelled the Weisen captain.

"Shields at 68%, armor piercing shots have hit decks 1 and 4, guns 3 and 4 are hit, engines 1 and 7 critical!"

"Fire everything we have left at the Valiant! They aren't doing too well! Tell the Wotan to engage the BladeRunner! Do it quick!"

Every gun on the Weisen opened up on the Valiant, just as the Wotan wheeled around and did the same at the Tarsonis ship. They were going to find out why they should never fire a shot at the Chamberlains...

OOC: Tarsonis, please call my people Chamberlains. It's gotten a bit annoying when they're called Torturans.

UHS Valiant

"Captain, we've got plasma ruptures on all decks, the air is becoming Toxic!" Nostrum reported.
"You know what I'm gonna say!" Jenny commented as shes helped awounded officer stand.
Elizabeth sighed and pressed a button on her console, opening a channel to the ship.
"All hands this is the Captain, Abandon Ship, repeat abandaon ship, all hands to emergency escape pods".
The Valiant began to list in space as Escape pods were soon ejected from the ship.
"Captain!" Jenny shouted through the smoke filled Bridge "We've got to go!"
"Captain goes down with the ship!" Elizabeth commented
"No, not on my watch!" Jenny protested then looked at a console that was still active and beeping "Captain, reading Warp Signitures, the Cavelry's arrived!"

UHS Intrepid

The Intrepid and her task group dropped out of warp in front of the listing Valiant. Firing a withering barrage of Phasers and Photon Torpedos at the enemy ships. One ship, the Voyager, broke off and began to collect the escape pods.

"Break off, I repeat break off!" the captain of the Wotan broadcasted to the ship and the Weisen. "Tell the ground ion cannons and photon batteries to open fire onto all enemy ships! Fall back to the 4th planet, men! Fall back!"

The Chamberlain ships turned around as the land batteries fired a barrage of lasers behind them, covering the retreat.

The Intrepid and the Reliant pursued the enemy ships giving time for the Voyager and Resliliance to rescue survivvours. The Tactiical officers were able to avoid much of the planet based fire.

"Double ground fire on the enemy ships, and open fire with rear guns! Call up the Ahfin and the Agsno! Get them to help us! Make sure the Weisen does not go down!"

Intrepid, Voyager, we got them

The Voyager stayed with the hulk of the Valiant as the other three ships pounded away at the enemy ships. Concentrateing on the Weisen, which appeared to be the most damaged.

The Weisen continued to take hits from phaser guns.

"Shields at 67, 66, 65, 64..."

On the Wotan...

"Sir, we need to save the ship!"

"Yes, we have barely any damage, and the Ahfin and the Agsno are coming! Pilot, turn around! Let's stand our ground until the Weisen is safe, and the BH ships retire! We will have 3 heavy ships up here, and 2 of theirs, without the ones picking up survivors, plus ground fire! The Wotan turned to a halt, and drove straight between the two enemy ships.

"Fire all of our god**** guns!" The phasers blasted out of the sides of the Chamberlain ship, speeding towards the smaller Battlehawk warships...

The Three Valiant Class Starships, though small, therein lied their strengh, they were fast and highy manvourarable. So it was that the Three ships moved like avengeing light as they bobbed and weaved. Once in posttion they fired around thirty Photon torpedo's at the damaged enemy ship. Half aimed at the bridge, the others spread out across their shield system.

The Banshee attack ship moved towards the Battlehawk ship collecting escape pods. "Now," said the captain, "let's make this more interesting..."
The Banshee opened up on the Voyager with raliguns and missiles. The ship also deployed several UDAB (Universally Deployable Assault Bombs). These would pass through the ships shields, and detonate on the hull. The effect would be devastating.
"Now take us out of here." commanded the captain. The Banshee began to move towards the edge of the system.

OOC: ill make the switch from now on, but im still waiting on those specs, chamber., and i need them from comorostan to. Just so i can get a mental picture and RP accordingly. as for BH, ST tech is well known.

Voyager

Whilst The Voyager was far from the main fight, the unexpected attack did not catch them unawared, whilst the opening salvo slammed into their shelds they jumped to warp speed. Only one of UDABs hit the ship before she escaped, nearly a light month away the Voyager dropped from warp again as the damage from that hit took its tole

OOC: i need them from comorostan to. Just so i can get a mental picture and RP accordingly.

OOC-The Banshee-class looks like a Star Wars Rebel transport ( http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/eb/GR-75_Medium_Transport.jpg ). It is armed with four railgun batteries and two ship=to-ship missile batteries.

IC-The Banshee reached the outer limit of the gravity well and made the jump to phase space. From there it would take a series of jumps designed to confuse any pursuit, eventually entering the Fallen Legion's territory.

OOC: The Wotan class cruisers look like the Star Wars Rebel Transports also. They have 4 2-gun batteries of 10-inch phasers, 4 proton torpedo tubes, 16 3-inch phaser turrets, 42 40mm anti-aircraft lasers(double barreled), large ion cannon turret mounted under the bridge, 2 railguns mounted next to that, various anti-ship missile batteries.

OOC: Yeah, but I just had the Wotan turn around and go straight between your ships, firing all guns, to buy some time.

OOC: Ok, my ships intend to retreat once they've destroyed one of yours, thats the intention of them any way

OOC: Ok you can fire an anti-matter missile at the Weisen if you want, and then the Wotan and the 2 reinforcement ships will wait in case you come back.

OOC: Not a missile, Photon Torpedo remember, And I have, fired about 20-30 i think it was

OOC: Ok. Fire a few past the Wotan and I'll have them hit the Weisen.

"Tactical, co-ordinate a spread of torpedos from the group" The Captain ordered
"Ready"
"Fire!"

Another spread of Photon torpedo's were fired by the Task group, followed by a full phaser spread

The Weisen was struck by another salvo of phasers and torpedoes.

"Damage!"

"Live support failing on all levels! Engines dead! Communications fried! There is space air leaking into the ship! Sir, we need orders!"

"Abandon ship! Abandon ship! Get in the pods and get out of this hellhole!"

The pods containing the survivors of the Weisen shot out into space. The two destroyers, the Ahfin and the Agsno, came up to pick up survivors, covering the Wotan as it fell back to them.

The Banshee, now on the edge of space, targeted the newly appearing escape pods with missiles. Two banks of missiles flashed out, headed towards the pods.

Captain 'Redcat' of the Ahfin saw the missiles streaking from the edge of the system. "Fire anti-missile batteries! Agsno, move in and protect the pods! Go, go, go!"

The Wotan got back to the two warships and continued firing on the Battlehawk ships.

Intrepid, fleet, we got them, all ships bug out

The Fleet regrouped, still firing their phasers and Photon Torpedos at the enemy ships, but not the escape pods. With a series of flashs the jumped to warp.

"They've retreated, sir!"

"Ok, take the survivors down, and bring back some reinforcement ships. I have a feeling they'll be back..."

Corvalas System

The Corvalas System, the Location of Starbase Two, was the Stageing area for the gathering fleet. It's location near to the new found enemies space was ideal for defensive measures. Much of the Starfleet was here, THough Ten Valiant Class ships were still on patrol in other parts of the PR.
