The space destroyer TCS Maelstrom sped over the featureless desert in the heart of Torturous Chamber. It was carrying I Company, 34th Ranger Battalion, on it. This was a vital mission. A mountainous desert area had recently been reported to be the landing site of enemy airborne troops. These troops had gone through the area, burning towns and slaughtering civilians and soldiers alike. People had found burned, mutilated, and raped people in almost every village. I Company was doing a simple recon job, and Captain Pravia thought this would be a routine fight. Boy how wrong he was...

OOC: This is a character RP. Post whatever you want, within reason. You guys can take this RP away. Don't get over the top though. Bring troops by space. Don't ask to be the attacking aliens.

OOC-OK. Where is this planet in relation to the rest of your empire?
IC-Another village fell to the Fallen Legion. The Kasrkin rampaged through the village, killing, looting, burning, and raping. Predator tanks fired laser bursts into buildings, while Rhino APCs disgorged more troops.
Lord Tirake looked over a holo-map of the area. Most of the villages in the immediate area had fallen. Next up were the larger settlements. Then a sensors officer came forward. "Lord, there's an unknown ship coming in. Probably the owners." Tirake turned to the comms officer. "Get in touch with Lt. Masirok. Tell him to scramble a few Hell Talons and take out that ship. Also, tell Captain Shira on the Blood Hound. Tell him to target the ship as well.

OOC: The planet is in the center of Torturous Chamber, in the mainland.

"We've got bogeys!" a gunner yelled.

Captain Pravia was quick to respond. "All men to battle stations! Prepare to disembark if we go down! Hell Talons are aircraft to be reckoned with. Get the two Phoenixes in the air, and get them to knock out as many Talons as they can! Go, go, go!"

8 Hell Talons shot towards the destroyer. Additionally, the Kodiak-class cruiser Blood Hound targeted, and then launched, 10 missiles at the destroyer. These were designed for surface bombardment, but under the circumstances they would work fine. The Hell Talons weren't in range yet, but they had missiles and guns ready for any resistance the ship put up.

OOC-not exactly sure how my forces got here, but oh well, blame phase space :D

"Fire the anti-missile systems! I don't want my ship going down!"

The anti-missiles took out a most of the Blood Hound's missiles. But now the Hell Talons were in range. They fired four missiles each, as well as a single UDAB each. The UDAB, or Universally Deployable Assault Bomb, could pass through shields and detonate on the hull of the ship. They were exceptionally lethal.

"Phoenixes take down those talons! Damage report!"

"Decks 1, 3, and 5 damaged, life support failing! Engines 1, 3, 4, and 5 critical! Most guns are out! Huge hole in the damage control center! Barracks is intact, as is the Ranger battalion! Sir, should we abandon ship?"

"Negative, we need to crash land! Pilot, guide us down! We can use this baby as cover and hold off whoever these punks are invading Torturous Chamber!"

The Hell Talons, their anti-ship weapons expended, now armed their AAMs and cannons. As the Phoenixes closed, the Talons opened up with missiles, two apiece, then switched over to their close in armament, two heavy bolters and a plasma cannon. This was going to be an interesting fight.

The Phoenixes took heavy hits, but they were designed to take hits from anti-air missiles. They were hardy aircraft. They dove around and into the rear of the Talons, gunning with their 4 lasers and AAM-24Bs.

OOC-Could you give me some specs on your aircraft? Mine are just Hell Talons, with 6 missiles, two heavy bolters, and one plasma cannon each.

IC-The Hell Talons lost two of their eight to the immediate attack. Then it dissolved into a twisting and turning dogfight, as the Hell Talons closed to attack with bolters and plasma cannon.

"Phoenix one is down! Repeat Phoenix one is down!" the second pilot started twisting to avoid the hail of fire coming from the Talons.

"Fall back to fight another day, Number two!" Captain Pravia said. "We might need you to help fight the ground troops. We'll cover you with anti-air cannons!" The 40mm laser cannons opened up on the Talons as the last Phoenix retreated.

a huge NERV battle barge was speeding towards the desert like planet after receiving a hyperspace distress call...

a huge hanger door on the bottom of the barge opened and 2 huge ships flew out quickly gaining speed, as they approached the planet 12 small ships DE-cloaked and all proceeded into the atmosphere.the 2 drop ships landed and deployed 1000 soldiers they then lifted off as if with ease.
"so this is the dump they've sent us to?"said commander schmaltz sarcastically
"yep we are to either convert the planet or destroy the population,personally i cant be bothered to 'convert' everyone."said commander deer bored out of his mind

The Talons, now under a large amount of fire, retreated. They had lost three of the eight sent. But they had deployed additional UDABs as they pulled back. 5 more UDABs flew towards the Chamberlain destroyer.

"this is command to all jumpers, assist the fighters that are retreating!"

OOC-I actually have 5 fighters left. I lost three. Just clearing that up.
IC-"Your assistance is welcome." We shall direct you to our main base of operations for the attack on this world. The lead Hell Talon transmitted a series of coordinates to the jumpers, then flew off in the direction of the main base.

OOC: I guess I have 2 guys against me now...

IC: "We have more hostiles! They are unmarked, but it looks like they are helping the Talons! Call for some..." 3 explosions resounded just before the destroyer crashed into the desert floor.

"This is Hell Talon Lead, we have visual confirmation. Destroyer is down, repeat destroyer is on the ground." Lord Tirake grinned. "Destroyed?" he queried. "Unsure, Lord. It's crashed, and we can't ascertain the damage from here. But," he added, "we did find some new allies. They're en route now." "Interesting. Proceed." Lord Tirake gestured to one of his comms officers. "Get a unit of Kasrkin to the crash sight. I want no survivors." The comms officer bowed his head. "Yes Lord." Then he hurried off to send the orders. A few minutes later, a company of Kasrkin, 120 in all, was flying towards the crash sight in a Hoshiko-class shuttle. The shuttle could carry them and their gear spaciously, and had onboard weapons to support the Legionnaires as they searched for survivors.

IC: "Damage!" Captain Pravia yelled.

"Small, not enough to destroy us, but we won't be getting off the ground! We need orders! Ground troops are advancing!"

"Rangers put your guns through any hull holes you can find and hold off the infantry! Phoenix 2! Give ground support, but don't get shot down! Radio! Call for backup!"

The radioman responded,"Sir, our message was cut off by a hit! We have Task Force 12 in the vicinity, the follow-up force for the assault! They are on their way, I believe!"

"What do they have?"

"2 battleships, 4 aircraft carriers, 7 cruisers, 15 destroyers, and 70 transports with a total of 10,500 troops and attached tanks, arty, etc!"

"Ok, Rangers! Hold out until then! Reinforcements should be 46 minutes away! This is our turf! Fight for it!"

The Hoshiko flew towards the downed destroyer, spraying plasma and grenades at where it could detect large amounts of people. As it settled to the ground, it continued firing, while 120 Kasrkin exited, weapons blazing. Any gun flashes were met with a hail of plasma, bolts, missiles and grenades. "For the Glory of the Legion!!" shouted all 120 soldiers as they charged forward. The Hoshiko rose into the air to provide better fire support.

The 200 rangers and sailors opened fire on the outnumbered Legion troops. The fighting was hard, but constant plasma fire was kept on the enemy troops.

as the jumpers came they fired there entire salvo of drones at the wrecked destroyer,it was lit up in flames.
the jumpers then retreated back to the battle barge to re-arm

The Kasrkin were experienced in this kind of fight. Outnumbered, without cover, and far from supply. Nothing they couldn't handle. They continued to fire on the enemy, and now the Hoshiko dropped down and fired two air-to-ground missiles at the side of the ship. The missiles had a small antimatter warhead and should do a good job of evening the odds.

the downed destroyer now burning from the inside exploded in a massive fireball.

"Fire extinguishers!" the sailors attempted to keep the fire down, but as soon as it was out, a huge explosion came from the bridge, and it exploded into purple flame.

"Antimatter!" yelled one Ranger.

"Who cares!" screamed Pravia. "Keep firing!"

The bodies began piling up before the destroyer.

OOC: Read the stickies Nerv! You can't just tell someone that they're ship exploded into a fireball! Seriously go take some time and read the sticky threads.

The Kasrkin were down to 72 men. They continued to fire, but began to withdraw and seek cover. They drew back, still firing their weapons, while the shuttle fired another 2 antimatter missiles at the destroyer. By the time they reached cover, the Kasrkin were at 63 people. They hunkered down, and the shuttle returned to rearm. Two Hell Talons were scrambled to attack the destroyer.

In space, an additional Battlegroup shot out of phase space. Three Akkan-class battlecruisers, four Dunov-class battlecruisers, two Sova-class carriers, and two Kol-class battleships. That should prove a surprise to any enemy reinforcements.

Task Force 12 jumped out of hyperspace just in time to see 2 antimatter missiles strike the Maelstrom's hull.

"What is going on down there?" asked Fleet Admiral Asillk.

"No radio contact, but it seems the Legion is active again, and a new force, from Nerv."

"I don't care where they're from, just fire! Transports, drop troops and armored division to march and clean up! Shield Tankers, go forward! Protect the infantry and get to the Maelstrom! We also have 11 enemy ships on radar! Battle fleet, lets go give them a nice surprise!

TCS Maelstrom

2 more missiles slammed into the ship's hull, making a huge hole in the middle. Just as it happened, a large fleet appeared out of the blue.

"Guys, reinforcements!" a cheer went up among the Rangers. But they didn't know that the fight for them was far from over...

on board silver fox:

the Daedalus jumped away leaving all the troops and all the jumpers in the flak.
the silver fox pulled away heading towards the planets atmosphere it came to a stop 4 meters off the ground and readied all its guns.

Aboard the battleship Indefatigable...

"We have a couple of NERV ships that seem to be firing at our men, Admiral! Permission to fire with antimatter missiles!"

"No! Fire those at the Comorostan ships and ground troops! Focus phasers and ion cannons on the nerv ships! I don't want anyone to escape!"

The huge fleet of 2 battleships, 4 aircraft carriers, 7 cruisers, and 15 destroyers opened fire on the specified targets. The 70 transports headed down to the surface with the fighters of the carriers escorting them.

A shot hit the Remash, but did not penetrate the sheilds.

"Sheild damage!"

"67% sir! Shall we fire antimatter?"

"Yes! Fire a spread of antimatter missiles at that ship!"

OOC: Antimatter missiles go through shields. These are targeted on you shield generator. They are about 10x as powerful as your Gustaf guns.

"All ships, brace for impact!!" The various ships opened up with point-defense lasers and activated ECM and jamming. It took out most of the missiles, but a few got through. The Akkan-class battlecruiser Jealousy took the brunt of the hits. On the bridge, the captain ordered the ship straight for the heart of the enemy formation. The ship's fusion reactor would go critical soon, and if he was going down he was taking a few enemies with him.

OOC:the silver fox has no one shield generator it has continuous shields,each cars bodywork is designed to generate part of a continuous shield.

the silver fox accelerated to 99.9%of the speed of light,firing all drones and all Gustaf guns at the target battleship it turned around and headed straight for the target.

OOC:all my train class cruisers use a miniature area of subspace as a power core when it blows it really blows.

OOC: Well make no mistake this is a Chamberlain fleet. Your ship will blow eventually...

The Legion fleet now fired back. Anti-matter missiles flashed out at the enemy (these guy's don't know its the Chamberlains) fleet. The pulse lasers and autocannons also fired, aiming for key points (engines, bridges, shield generators). The Kol-class battleships saved their railguns for last. The missiles were fired with the intent of destroying ships, and were thus aimed at structural weak points. In addition, the ships launched their strike craft. A total of 21 squadrons of bombers and attack aircraft (Marauders and Hell Talons, respectively) and 18 squadrons of fighters, were now in space, attacking the enemy ships and searching for any enemy strike craft.

The Chamberlain fleet responded with full force, putting a solid(literally) wall of lazer and phaser beams into the air. But they were slowly pushed back by the advancing Legion fleet.

"We need reinforcements, pronto!"

"We have a fleet of 68 ships free, but they could take 5 and a half hours to get there!"

"Don't care, just send them!"

"Sir! Their ship is shutting down!Should we finish them off!"

"Yes! Blow it up and destroy its wormhole generator! Don't let them escape!" The huge guns on the battleships opened fire onto the Silver Fox.

OOC:the silver fox starts on a suicide run but then realizes that it doesn't have to be destroyed so when the main power core is shutdown by the ship computer they start the backup power core and use there wormhole drive,the shadow of a wormhole drive is a gravity field which if a ship is close enough to it will be damaged or destroyed by the gravity.

IC:
the shield was reinstated just in time,all the shots hit the shield but there was no damage, the silver fox drew in very close to the battleships hull...

The Legion ships continued to fire, as their strike craft swooped in and blasted individual gun platforms, shield generators, and fired into bridges. The Legion had lost 4 ships, 2 Akkan-class and 2 Dunov-class battlecruisers. But the enemy had ignored the Jealousy. Its reactor went critical just as it slammed into one of the enemy ships. The resulting explosion was a large one.
OOC-The damage is up to you, but at least 1-2 of your ships are definitely destroyed.

a huge battle group of 21 galleons and 1 historical class battleship jumped in to the battle

The Rakal and the Weinmar, a destroyer and a cruiser, were both firing near eachother when an enemy ship crashed into the Rakal. A huge explosion rattled the area. There was nothing left there; all 3 ships had vaporized.

"We have lost 2 ships to a suicide, in addition to the 17 transports and 3 destroyers already down!"

"I don't care! We still outnumber them, so let's blast away the survivors. Dispatch 12 squadrons of Phoenixes to clean up the surviving aircraft!" He got on his radio. "Port Royale, this is Fleet Admiral Asillk! We have large amounts of Comorostan Legion and Nerv naval forces wedging us! We need the Home Fleet to assist us!"

"This is Secretary of the Navy Marcan. We have dispatched the Home Fleet to clean up this little raid. And I don't care how big it is. It is tiny compared to the HF."

"How long until they arrive?"

"15 minutes."

"Sounds good."

OOC: Here's my Orbat for the Home Fleet(It is the main fleet for Torturous Chamber, so it is HUGE!!!!

Home Fleet of Torturous Chamber:

24 aircraft carriers, each with 12 Phoenix squadrons and 12 Zeio attack bomber squadrons(Flagship TCS Hegemony)

46 battleships, each with 2 squadrons of each type of aircraft

67 cruisers, each with 1 squadron of Phoenixes

134 destroyers, each with 2 Phoenixes

120 assorted ships, including medical, repair, survivor collectors, etc.

If it seems so huge, just remember it is the main fleet of TC...

The arrival of the enemy fighters signalled a change. The 210 remaining Lightning fighters engaged the enemy fighters, while the Marauders and Hell Talons continued to attack the ships. And now the 2 Kol-class battleships opened fire with their railguns (each has one), aiming for enemy flagships. While they were not sure if what they aimed for was actually a flagship, it was their best guess.

The bridge on the TCS Yaman exploded into a burning fireball, killing Rear Admiral Ustopain. Although it was not the flagship of the fleet, it was one of the biggest battleships ever built, and the sight of it's control center exploding cause the morale of the sailors to droop, until they remembered the gigantic Home Fleet was 12 minutes away.

The crews on the Legion ships cheered as the giant enemy battleship's bridge went up in flames. They began reloading the railguns, but charging them would take a while. In the meantime, the two battleships focused their forepower on the now headless ship, hoping to destory it before it could regain its cohesion.

OOC: It's just the bridge. The battleship is intact, but it's like a headless chicken, with still a lot of power. Firing coordination in the ship is hard though.

INN queen millenia aimed all its main turrets at the ship and then fired its huge antimatter guns at it.

The large multi-layered shields of the TCS Yucca took 14% damage.

Home Fleet 6 minutes out...

OOC: OOF weapons can go through anything except there target
EDIT:OOF means 'out of phase'
the weapon becomes 'out of phase' with normal reality,making the weapon invisible and intangible. when the weapon is millimeters from its target it returns to phase so it reappears

The projectiles flew through the shields, hitting the ship.

"Sir, life support is damaged 36%! We have a small crack on deck 5! What should we do?"

"Have the fleet retreat towards the Home Fleet! They're 3 minutes away!"

The Yucca engaged in evasive action, and only one missile hit before the combined guns of the home fleet blasted the drones out of the air.

"Yes! Desert Command Ship, this is Admiral Assilk of the TCS Yucca! It's great to see you!"

"Yucca this is carrier TCS Tracker, Fleet Admiral Yarbog speaking. We have opened fire on the hostiles pursuing you. You might want to duck."

"Yes sir!" he manuevered the Yucca down towards the ground just before a huge shockwave of missiles, phasers, lasers, and ion cannons flew towards the Nerv ships.

OOC: Remember, unless you want to jump away quick, your ships are gonna get blown out of the sky. Look at my orbat for reference. I outnumber you more than 10 to 1.

IC-The Legion saw the massive enemy fleet come out of warp (or whatever). They saw they were outnumbered. The fleet retreated, leaving the remaining forces on the planet to fend for themselves.

On the planet, the arrival of the enemy fleet signalled a change in strategy. The Legionnaires assembled in their main base on the planet, and prepared to fight to the last.

THE BATTLE:all but the silver fox left
the silver fox rammed headfirst into the sun,the front cowling melting instantly exposing the twin cores as the train got closer its useless wheels seized up and melted, the glass smashing instantly but the engines still running at full power, aided by the suns gravity then the core1 fractured a huge explosion boosted by the suns energy fanned out faster than the speed of light decimating planets as it went nothing could withstand the blast

No, and my home system is still alive, no matter how you think you can blow up a sun that is nowhere near my system.

i didn't say that your home planet was destroyed i said that the system where the battle took place was destroyed,or at least 80% of it, its hard to tell with these power systems.

Except there is no sun near this system, and it IS my home system/planet.

well...the ship runs off 2 zero point energy cores, inside each core is a small artificially-created region of subspace, a single core can provide enough power for a city the size of Texas for a thousand years. if a core ruptures all the energy is omitted at once causing a huge explosion. this explosion if located within a suns corona will accelerate the suns fusion reaction, the sun becomes a supernova but the supernova shock wave is boosted.

if a second ZPC ruptures after the first then the mix of exotic particles can cause an infinite number of outcomes,in this case it caused the shock wave to dissipate within the suns natural coronasphere.
