Torturous Chamber

Chamberlain War Industries has recently commissioned the building of a brand new super-battleship! This ship is to be called the TCS Chamberlain after a ship-of-the-line in the days of wooden and sailed ships. It will displace 100,000 tons, and will be armed with 12 20-inch guns, 24 8-inch guns, 10 50-caliber machine guns, and various missiles including Tomahawks, Harpoons, and Sea Sparrows. It will have state-of-the-art defense mechanisms, including automated Vulcan Cannons for anti-missile uses, reinforced steel plating against anti-surface missiles and torpedoes. The TCS Chamberlain will be sold to the highest bidder starting at 2.5 billion blood cells(B$). I will add diagram in a few minutes.

OOC: Not to nit pick but that dosn't sound like a battlecrusier. The Iowa-Class Battleship has 9 16inch guns, 20inch guns are quite powerful and would require a bit of deckspace, not to mention the space of the ABS or VLS used for the Thomahawk. Its a good idea, but ist most definatly not a battlecruiser.

Official Reply of Blubland

Dear insignificant nation,

The MIGHTY Blub Colony frowns upon your pathetic warship, and your unlicensed proliferation of military equipment. This willingness to sell war machines to any bidder is dangerous and could put weapons into the wrong hands.

Further, the price that you are demanding for this weak vessel is outrageous, and we frown upon this piracy. This ship is hardly good enough to serve as a floating target for our wargames and you should be ashamed.

In ending, we have the following to say: Stoppit!

OOC: The Iowa's have 9 16"ers, actually, and six-ten 5"ers. But to the point.

That is most certainly not a battlecruiser. Even the Japanese Yamato-class SUPERdreadnoughts of WWII had six 18" guns. They had two (or three, I forget) and they were completely impractical and were blown out of the water easily. A battlecruiser is generally smaller than a battleship. Your 'battlecruiser' is larger than the most over-sized superdreadnoughts designed, and, among other things, is sorely lacking in armor specifications.

You should go to the NS draftroom (someone will have a link) if you have an interest in designing equipment for NS II.

I know I just call it a battlecrusier because battleships are not as fun, you know.

OoC: That sounds like a super-battleship, which is a far cry from a battlecruiser.

Tone it down. A lot.

I think he means that battlecruisers are a bit more elegant, something with I certainly do agree.

Now, the problem is this isn't a battlecruiser either. Too much artillery and too few missiles. The little missiles it has are laughable.
