Mutiny on the Hope(MT,OPEN)

The Battlehawk

RBS Hope

The Argonaught class cruiser slipped slowly though the night. Unusualy, there were absoulotely no lights showing at all, no light from portholes, no light from the bridge, not even a torch light on the deck. The Cruiser was odly quiet.

Except

Except for the occasioanal crack of a Gun. Through the dark ship, the mutiners stormed. From one deck to the next they marched, storming into bunks, challengeing the crew in them to join them. Those who refused where shot. The Mutiners, were led by Lt Commander Jeramy Jackson, he had been the ships XO, before he shot the Captain in the head.

It took the mutiners mere minutes to clear the ship, the dead were promptly tossed overboard and the Ship burst into light. She increased her speed and sped off into the darkness...

Battlehawk Airforce, AWAC's "Bluestar"

High above the sea, on a long range Recon mission, the AWAC's aircraft, an E-3 Sentery, was heading home when she picked up a hastily scrambled message. The operators frowned as the listened to the message.
Attention, all Battlehawk forces, Ensign Brad Rawlins, RBS Hope, Commander Jackson, he's gone insane, he shot the captain, I'm not sure...oh god, their here...
The Message ended with a gunshot that shocked the entire aircraft. They quickly routed back to the Battlehawk.

Military Command Centre

The MCC was abuzz as the message was played to Admiral Frost. Analysts were working franticly to attempt to asertain the location of the Hope. She'd gone rouge and was unable to be located on Battlehawk Nets. Frost skowled as the gunshot echoed through the MCC and nodded to an aide. The Aide nodded in return and ran out of the control room.

Presidiantial Mansion

Knock...Knock...Knock
President Daniel Clark slowly woke from his sleep. He'd finnaly gotten away from the meetings and briefings and gotton some sleep. Until the Secret Service began rapping on his door.
"What is it?" He asked opening the door
"Sorry to Wake you Mr President" The Left hand agent said.
"Theres a situation at the MCC, Marine One is ready to take you there" The Right hand agent added "It's pretty urgent"
"Alright, give me a few minutes to get back into something presideintial" He smiled.
"Yes Mr President"

Five minutes later Daniel was rushed across the Presidential Mansions lawn and was into the Marine Helicoptor. The Chopper lifted off and began to fly over Tren'Lar
"Whats the Situation?" He asked Theresa Green, SecState
"Skecthy reports, some of the crew of RBS Hope appeared to have mutined" She replied
"Dear lord, I expect a full briefing from Admiral Frost when we get there"

RBS Hope

The Mutiny complete, Jackson smiled from the Bridge. He nodded to one of his minions who nodded and began to enter commands. The Ship began to slowly turn towards a civvilian Vessel on the horizon.

OOC: Ok, so the Hope's gone rouge, and is going after Shipping, it does have Battlehawk Markins still and is IDabled as the Hope...due to RBS Hope written on the hull,

The Takaram battleship TNS Prometheus slid silently through the black waters, the only sign of her presence were the few cabin lights and the white water breaking on her bow. Commodore Marcus Pike sat in his quarters, unable to sleep. They hadn't seen much action in a while. I looked like things would stay that way.

Ron Fischer and Leon Sonnabed were about to do their first Oceanic test flight in their new Mig-21z.

*Alpha-Charlie This is India Can you read me*
*Yes India, read you loud and clear*
*Runway is all clear, your ready to fly*

The Mig-21z races down the worst excuse of a runway possible, lifting up at the end.

*India, this is Alpha-Charlie, we are within 22 Miles of the Coastline now, we will be exiting radio contact in 2 Minutes.. and counting. After we reach the opposite shoreline, radio contact will be sent out immediately*

The Mig didnt have any weapons on it besides its 30mm Cannon, but we arent at war so it shouldnt be a problem.

"Mr President heres what we know" Admiral Frost said "At 2345hrs AWAC's Bluestar received this message from the RBS Hope"
'Attention, all Battlehawk forces, Ensign Brad Rawlins, RBS Hope, Commander Jackson, he's gone insane, he shot the captain, I'm not sure...oh god, their here...'
"Our Analysts tell me that the Hope appears to have turned off her transponder, which will make finding her difficult" Frost continued.
"Any idea on a motive?" Daniel asked interested.
"Not at the momemnt, Commander Jackson was one of the our rising stars, he was being considered for a command of his own" Frost replied "We've got several teams working on ideas"
"Alright, let me take a read of those reports, we'll need to enlist allies on this, give me an hour, we'll have some soon" Daniel said standing.

RBS Hope

The Hope pulled alongside the Civvied Vessel. They had fired a warning shot that soon brought the ship to a hault. Gang planks were rased and the ship was bordered. All resistance was soon pacified. The Boarders began to go through the cargo holds, looking for items of value

RTNV herald, 86 nautical miles away from RBS Hope

Captain Harringway was awoken by one of his ensigns in the dead of night, as one of the comms-officers in the control room had apparently intercepted 'an urgent message'. Quickly dressing in his formal attire, Harringway made his way to the control room.
"Midshipman! what was the reason for my awakening!?" Harringway bawled.

"sir, captain sir, we've intercepted a hastily prepared distress call from someone aboard a nearby battlehawk cruiser, and, and sir it seems the've turned hostile."

Harringway's expression changed as he heard the news.
"Well, play me the recording then." He said expectantly.

Harringway's facial expression changed again while listening to the recording, first from shock to exasperation, and then at the sound of the gunshot, cold-hearted anger filled his gaze, which was firmly set on the sound recorder.

"Ensign!"

"yes sir?"

"Turn us around."

RTNV Herald, a bremen class frigate, had been on routine patrol for 4 days before she intercepted the transmission. The Ship, all 130 metres of her, slowly awoke in the dead of night. The Harpoon launchers warmed up; the autocannon crews manned their stations; the sea lynx helicopters powered up; the cabin lights slowly turned out, one by one, until the ships silhouette was barely invisible.
The Herald was ready for war.

Commodore Pike looked up from his desk at the slight knock at his door. He hadn't even remembered falling asleep.
"Come in," called the Commodore, flattening out the wrinkles in his uniform. It was his XO, John Farram.
"Sorry to bother you sir, but Fleet Admiral Adama is on the radio, and he sounds really anxious."
Pike nodded and headed for the bridge. When he got there, the comm officer handed him the radio.
"Pike here, sir."
"Pike, its Adama. We've just received word of a Battlehawk cruiser, the RBS Hope, that has just gone rouge in your area. Right now it is believed that they are resorting to piracy. I want you to begin searching for the Hope. Don't open fire until she does. I'm also detaching two destroyers to assist in your search. Good luck."
Pike nodded. "Yes sir, Admiral."
Pike hung up the radio, and frowned. This could get ugly.

RBS Hope

The Hope Slipped away from the Civvilian Frighter, which was no on fire. The Hope would use this as a distraction to get away and go onto the next stage of the plan. The Hope disppeared from view into the darkness.

OOC: I do actualy have a more sinister motive that Piracy, the Hope is one of several ships that 'May' have nuclear warheads aboard, Only the admiralty knows and they need to find out whether it was the Hope's 'Turn' as they are rotated for security, but no-one knows about hte warheads yet.

RTNV Herald, 2 nautical miles away from civilian freighter

"Sir, we're picking up a ship on radar! bearing south-southeast at 2 knots!"

"Well bring us around then ensign, i want us within 200 metres of that ship in the next 10 minutes." Harringway ordered.

RTNV Herald came up on the civilian freighter, which was aflame and drifting through the icy waters with no power or propulsion.
A Lynx HMA.8 helicopter, operating off of RTNV Herald, hovered over the burning hulk of the civilian freighter, when they radioed in.

"control, buzzard 2, freighter's on fire, no crew in sight." pilot Vaul spoke into the radio.

"buzzard 2, control, is there any signs of missile strikes on the hull?" Harringway asked into the transmitter, the whole of the control room listening in.

"control, we've got complete hull integrity at time, that means the fire was internal, repeat the fire was internal." Vaul replied to his chiming headset.

"Understood, return to base, repeat return to base." Harringway ordered. Then he turned to his bridge:
"This was no accident. I think we're on the trail of the RBS Hope."

IC: The battlecruiser TCS Maelstrom plowed through the water. The CO, Captain Predar, looked over the horizon, and saw smoke rising.

"Commander, call the operator and see if anything's coming in from that direction,"

"Yes sir!" The eager young sailor picked up the phone. "Operator, come in. Are there any messages coming from bearing 332 degrees?"

"Yes, there are," said the operator. "Scattered, but something about pirates, thieves, burning, and hope..."

The captain cursed under his breath. "Commander, remember about the earlier messages from the Hope?"

"Yes sir,"

"Well, I think that whatever ship is on fire was raided by the Hope. Mutiny and piracy, god damnit. Why can't we ever have an uneventful patrol?"

"I don't know sir, but we are starting to get a glimpse of it." The charred and burning ship had a ship already alongsides, flying the flag of Tubaui. As the ship got closer, Predar could see that the ship's markings were destroyed, but one thing remained. From the flagpole, a barely recognizable flag of Torturous Chamber was waving.

"Shit, sir, it's ours."

Commodore Pike stared out the windows of the bridge at the burning wreck that used to be a ship, as well as a helicopter and another ship approaching from the opposite direction.
"Apparently we aren't the only ones to know about the Hope, sir," said Commander Forram.
"Apparently not, but at least we don't have to worry about taking her alone now. I don't known if those destroyers the Admiral said he would send are every going to arrive." replied Pike
"Well, we might as well start talking. Hail the Torturous Chamber ship first."

The Hope was, by now, speeding away from the scene, back out intot he open ocean, prepareing for the next state of the plan.

MCC

"Reports suggest the Hope has attacked a Civviam Freighter" ADmiral Frost commented
"Christ" Daniel cursed "Any other ships in the area?"
"Three Ships, led by RBS Companion" Frost replied
"Alright redirect them to that frieghter" Daniel ordered.
"They're already heading there, they were quite close"

Frighter

The Three Battlehawk Cruisers that made up the Squadron slowly approached the burning frighter and her rescuers.

Captain Predar turned on his radio, and addressed Commodore Pike and the Tubai ship, the Herald. "You men were here before us, do you know what happened here? The following message was transmitted from RTNV Herald, on all frequencies, in responce to the transmission from TCS Maelstrom:

"This is Captain Harringway of the RTNV Herald, my ship has come across signs that RBS Hope may have been the subject of a mutiny, and this may have cause the ship to resort to piracy. Though we know no further than these facts, we can be farely certain that RBS Hope has committed this act of piracy, and has evaded the capture from either us or any foreign authority. We know no more on this subject than yourselves, we are willing to offer our assistance to your cause in your effort to bring these criminals to justice."

As the helmsman set course to follow the northern boat, Pike wondered about the chances of this actually working. If the crew of Hope was as experienced as everyone said they were, there was no real way that they would fall for the idea of a small inflatable this far out all alone. But it was the best chance they had without heavy air support, something Takaram lacked.

Captain Harringway was looking at the radar inside the bridge of RTNV Herald. He had been scanning it for anything other than the small eastern-going inflatable powering through the ocean mist infront of them. Just then, a secondary blip poked itself into the radar, right at the extremities the screen. it was a good few miles north of his position, and wasn't heading for the inflatable or the Herald.

"Shit! Ensign get on the broadcaster, i want all crew to battlestations, repeat all crew to battlestations!"
Harringway stared out of the window, in the direction of the unknown blip, but it was much too far away for him to see anything. A frown marked his face as he stared out of the window, wondering what the hell was out there.
