OOC: I'm back!

Emperor Heinrich II read the message that his aide, Octavius, had prepared. He was ashen.

"Who gave you permission to write this?!" Heinrich nearly shouted, looking frustrated, angry, and a tad embarassed.

The message, addressed to young women around the world, was titled "Emperor Seeks Faithful Wife."

Heinrich was still a little sore over a certain incident (that will not be reflected on) that had put paid to his romantic notions. Since then, as the country had slowly turned back to isolationism, he had put his heart and soul into running the Empire flawlessly, aided by his cousin Marie as co-ruler.

Heinrich had always been a tad touchy about the subject of marriage: he had been brought up in a public school, and had absorbed some of the values of society at large regarding love and marriage, and he had long found it objectionable that his family life would have that much impact on the state. Unfortunately, such is the state of affairs for the Imperial Family.

"I believe I told you I didn't want this subject brought up."

"Sir, its important to the rest of the country..."

Heinrich groaned. "I already made my stance on this a while ago. Now..."

"It won't do. Political marriage. Find love, and what will be best for the nation, if possible. But, as you have said so many times before, Empire before self."

Heinrich resigned himself to it. "Fine. You're right, anyway."

The Emperor Heinrich II of Achae-Ottonia is seeking a wife, who will be faithful and supportive, not just to him, but to the country as well. The woman in question should be in the 22-28 year range (the Emperor is 26), reasonably attractive, and, and this is most important, a kind, open-minded, hardworking, and reasonably intelligent person.

Though we ourselves are not a monarchy, our first true president has recently come out of her career at the age of 30. Though this is over your leader's age she still fits the other requirements quite well, having led an entire country before. She is basically a celebrity within her home nation and such a marriage would most likely politically bond our two nations for as long as you two both shall live. Within this envelope is also a picture of President Saáry posing for a national Ursavian news magazine (Hirsch Magazine).

Helga Steinbreicher was sitting at her computer (She can't do much else) and observing the news when she heard of another rich man wanting marriage. She licked her lips, stuffed another triple-decker burger down her throat, and waddled to the nearest infoterminal (Which also served as a mailbox.)

Yes, such a dinner would be in my homeland, unless you are uncomfortable with this. Are you familiar with (can speak some) German, Spanish, French, or Latin? This is rather important, as it will affect where the best place to go first would be.

And yes, I would be happy to give you a tour of one of the capitals. Which one depends on which languages you speak.

Well, I actually am tri-lingual. I'm fluent in English and Russian, and I can have at least semi-fluent conversations in German. Outside of that I am sadly a lost cause. I shall make my way to your country as soon as the arrangements have been made. Then, possibly, you would like a tour of my country some time?

Excellent. It is merely that a varient (actually a seperate, but very similar language) of German is spoken primarily in one half of the Empire, so that is where we should meet, as it will be considerably easier for us and others to converse, as I have found translators sometimes will inadvertantly distort the meaning of phrases and words in the process of translation.

In this case, then, we can meet in the Ottonian half of the Empire, in the capital of Ottonia, or possible the city of Westfall, whichever suits you. They are both full of history and interesting locations, and I am sure you would find either one interesting, when we tour the city.

I would quite enjoy a tour of Ursava sometime. We should discuss that when we meet. I have arrangements prepared for you to arrive in the Heinrich I Memorial Airport in Westfall (factoid: it is named after my great-grandfather and namesake), if that is acceptable to you.
