I need feedback on whether I should make a forum for the map, please give me an idea of how many people would like to see a forum.

Map Guidelines

* Protectorates can be claimed by new nations. They are not part of the nation
that has their name of it and they will normally be ceded to new nations. However, you must talk to the owner first before claiming anything.
* If you want to claim an area already claimed, you must first work something out with the owner.
* Generally, if you lose your claim due to RP circumstances (Usually war), you aren't getting back on the map, at least not right away. This isn't a set in stone thing, and is usually applied on a case-by-case basis.
*There are three ways to gain land: A - Claiming it by yourself, B - Conquering it from a sovereign nation, C- Being given the land by others.

ooc: I tried doing this before. If you want a serious world map, a real world map won't suffice. To many people claim the same place. Hence, the only option is to make one from scratch. The shear amount of people that you would need to map would make it a huge project. When I tried, I had an ooc thread, a "volunteer sign up thread" (you are going to need a lot of volunteers to help share the load), and I never got to the actual main thread. Take it from someone whose tried, it's impossible.

Split Australia in half, right side is North Defese, East side is South Defese. Also give South Defese New Zealand.

Sierre Leone and the country to the East of it.

I know, but we will not be able to accomadate all the nations, It will be a first come serve basis. If a nation is in-active for more then 2 weeks, they will get deleted and other nations, would have the land.

I understnad what you mean, but I only look at the population.

It depends, by the time your nation grows enough (2 weeks or so) maybe other nations will have land surrounding you, so you would have to make a deal with the owner of the land, you want.

The nation of Kazahkstan, which is about the same size of the territory I want, has a population of only about one million.

As Gordonopia said, it will be physically impossible to fit all of the NS nations onto a single map without disagreements and overwrites.

Yes, please! My nation's mainland is sqaure-ish with rounded edges. It has one long island on the left and one long island on the right and two medium sized islands above and three small islands below.

But might I say that Chateau Chevalier only asked for northern France and England, but you have given him/her Scotland and Wales as well.

And my population is 50 million. The population of Ireland is 4,156,119. Northern Ireland is 1,759,000. Scotland is 5,062,011. And Wales is 2.9 Million.
This is nowhere near 50 million. So as Chateau Chevalier did not claim Scotland and Wales, can I not have them instead?

I have another problem with this. What happens when the map is filled. Do the people who aren't on it not exist? There's no point to a world map if you can't fit everyone on it, it defeats the purpose.

You really would have to make it custom. Most people (me included), well, maybe not most but a lot of serious rpers use custom maps. They don't claim rl land, but instead make their own. How would you fit them on a map like this? You know, I think I might start my old map concept again, just cuz this has brought up the interest again.

Ya you exist, but for exampke when starting war, it is a good refernece to where your nation is compared to the defender. Or If you want to sign treaties, you can sign them, in the nations beside you.

They can other people for land, for example pretend the map is full, and my nation (located in Eastern Canada) was asked by a nation, for a plot of land. If I accept, there would his plot of land. Or I might create a bir of artificial land.

MHM. It depends. I guess you can call it a war RP, I mean...If you want to declare war on a nation, you can check the map out and see, how far the nation is. On the other hand, you can use this too make treaties with other nation around you.

2. Now you can RP on forums events in that area/treaties/news/war EXT. and give a link to the map, so they now where you are.

it seems very unfair because some nations only have about 40 million
and they look like they have more landmass than mine. could you

I know you're still working on my "artificial ice land" but I was just thinking that maybe you should remove me from the space I am now inhabiting. That way people know that area is open.

I'd probably be more interested if someone made a map that did not consist of modern landforms to claim. I abstain from making a claim here, but you may claim for distance purposes that Ulanpataar could be in the Tierra del Fuego - Northern Antarctic kind of area.

But might I say that Chateau Chevalier only asked for northern France and England, but you have given him/her Scotland and Wales as well.

And my population is 50 million. The population of Ireland is 4,156,119. Northern Ireland is 1,759,000. Scotland is 5,062,011. And Wales is 2.9 Million.
This is nowhere near 50 million. So as Chateau Chevalier did not claim Scotland and Wales, can I not have them instead?

Friends, Our population is slightly over 3 billion. By your logic, we would be entitled to most of Eurasia (minus bits of China or India). To facilitate game play, we are willing to keep to our traditional lands. However since we were unable to acquire the Basque region, we will accept Scotland to raise our Chevalier lambs and Wales for the salt and granite.

If we had requested the British Isles, proportionally, you would have been entitled to Antim for your troubles.

Suggestion to Bohovia, Please make a Public Poll on this thread for approved RP nations. Exsample: Option 1 My nation is an approved RP nation. Option 2 my nation wishes to not participate. Keep in mind once a nation has voted it cant come back and vote for other options. So an option of consideration is not possible if the nation is later on approved or not.
