Approximately 66,000 men serve in the Republican Navy. They operate in two fleets that are responsible for the defense of Menvin and Gaza as well as any amphibious operations the nation may need to carry out. As such they operate 4 independent Naval Infantry Brigades (5,500 men each). The Naval Infantry lack proper tanks and artillery but use amphibious fighting vehicles and rocket launchers to maximize mobility and fire power. The Republican Navy operates 79 ships composed of the following: 2 aircraft carrier, 2 cruiser, 8 destroyer (4 ASuW, 4 ASW), 10 frigate, 12 corvette, 4 minesweeper, 2 amphibious assault, 30 auxiliary, 3 hospital, and 6 attack submarine. The main port of the Menvin Fleet is on Kojem Island in Southern Menvin, while The Gaza Fleet is based in Kanoja in Gaza. Submarines operate independently out of secret ports.

Air Guard
- 1st Squadron "Fighting Nidhogs"
- 2nd Squadron "Pegasus"
- 3rd Squadron "Typhons"
- 4th Squadron "Blue Wyrens"
- 5th Squadron "Red Wyrens"

The current air force is composed of 60 multi-role Mig-35s Fighters of the most recent upgrades, organized into 5 independent squadrons based at different airfields (3 in Gaza, 2 in Menvin). About 2,800 service men maintain and fly aircraft. In addition to the fighters, the Air Force operates 24 for air supply and transport. Recent rumors have it that a Airborne Infantry force will be formed within the next 16 year plan.

[ * signifies reserve status]

The Menvin-Gaza Republic's use mandatory conscription to mobilize their economy and military. At the age of 16 all males are conscripted into either the military or work both of which are part time until they are 20 when they graduate from Upper Level Schooling. At the age of 4 mother's may volunteer their male child to "the Republic" and they will be trained and taught to be an officer, this is a common choice for the women in Gaza[the larger of the two republics].

Details of equipment are available but the government does not release this information due to security protocol. The Army is known to receive the vast majority of funding and is probably equipped with up to date main battle tanks, and infantry weapons. Due to their close ties with the Former Soviet Union it is believed they equip T-90 or T-80 Black Eagle tanks in large numbers as well as BMP-2 armored fighting vehicles, of course are all modernized. The average infantry man is equipped with a re-chambered Valmet M76 Assault Rifles [NATO 5.56MM] and seems to be equipped with light Kevlar body armor. Rations are a standardized MRE and a portable field kitchen is standard with each division. Individual equipment is a M1942 Stahlhelm modernized with Kevlar and a steel core. Pistols[9MM Beretta] are equipped to every infantry unit and sub-machine guns [9MM MP5K] to every crew-member of a vehicle.

Artillery brigades are always self-propelled in armored and mechanized divisions. Towed artillery are issued to motor-rifle divisions . Rocket launchers are rather common and of Soviet make such as the BM-27 Uragan. Wheeled vehicles are used in only a few roles: Armored Personal Carriers for infantry divisions and scout vehicles for Motor-Rifle and Armored divisions. An up-armored BTR-80 is common for both roles (scouting variant replaces crew compartment with scouting instruments). The GAZ-2975 is used in a role similar to the Jeep. It used for reconnaissance, light patrols and mobile operations.

Military research is done at the Center for Military Research and projects are almost entirely related to the ground forces. Current reports indicate that the CMR has developed prototype main battle tanks [Type 280] that are undergoing testing. The government predicts that at the end of the next 16 year plan, the military will number over two million, the research departments are working on mass production variants of many common supplies. Another project is the development of "home-made" combat vehicles and weapons that will remove dependencies on foreign nations [ie Soviet Russia].

Command of the military is delegated to the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of Gaza [Menvin has no Defense Ministry, the republics have no overlapping duties] and is in direct control of the Dual Presidency. The only current Field Marshall is "Field Marshall Jwyom Kaj" and is command of the armored forces of Menvin-Gaza.

History - Wall of Text Warning
The landmass of Kozar is identical to China (Not including Tibet, Manchuria, or Sinkiang)
and is populated by many billions. Major political entities include: Amiro (on the island of Taiwan), Casio (on the island of Hainan), Gaza (islands of Japan), Menvin(former Gazan colony in Korea), and the Afrikan Empire (Mainland China Not including Tibet, Manchuria, or Sinkiang). Economically rich and prosperous the only notable lack of materials is in oil products leaving a dependence on imports and colonies (the Afrikan Empire's colony in Venezuela produces large amounts of oil).

The history of Menvin – Gaza begins with the establishment of a Gazan colony in Menvin. The Imperial Government of Gaza sent many criminals and “outcasts” to the colony. Menvin quickly spread to the border of the Afrikan Empire and due to their near proximity the cultures began to exchange music, language, art and other cultural trademarks. Over a period of eight hundred years Menvin gradually became a Protestant, and Dutch speaking nation. The causes are debatable but most historians agree it was due to Gazan neglect and the Afrikan Empire's trade monopoly.

The cultural differences between the colony and the Gazan Empire strained relations and caused the formation of the Menvin Militia. All males [Ages 16 to Age 40] were expected to register with the local Menvin authorities and received a bounty for doing so, they would serve until they were 40 years of age. The Gazan government viewed this as an aggressive act and ceased exporting firearms, gunpowder, and other necessities of war to their “colony”. The Afrikan Empire covertly supplied large amounts of war material to the Menvin Militia and even encouraged active revolt. After two years of unstable peace a small scale famine caused an excess of pressure and revolt broke out in southern Menvin, soon followed by the rest of Menvin.

The resulting war is viewed by most historians as a proxy war between the competing Gazan and Afrikan Empires, but for the inhabitants of Menvin it was an all too real war. Nearly ten percent of the population perished in the combat or in the related famines. The revolt was entirely suppressed due to the success of Gazan Field Marshall “Tastu Klomein” who was given command of nearly 120,000 soldiers in a variety of cavalry and infantry. However this was a mere setback to the Menvin revolutionaries who planned to rebuild, with further aid from the Afrikan Empire. Within three years the Menvin Militia had been restored (although no longer legally required) and supplies were arriving in unheard of amounts. Even Afrikan officers and soldiers (around five thousand) infiltrated Menvin and trained the militiamen.

War broke out once more and Gaza was met with initial success but Afrikan meddling began to show its influence as more and more elite divisions of the Afrikan Empire crossed into Menvin. An official declaration of war was never issued but nearly fifty percent of the Afrikan Empire's Army was deployed in Menvin. The Gazan Imperial Army used concentration camps and deployed nearly all of Imperial Army and Guard to Menvin. War crimes were common for Gazan occupation forces. Atrocities occurred throughout the war and even against loyalists(a small percentage of Menvin). The war resulted in a “non-aggression pact” between Gaza and Afrika, a series of reforms leading to the establishment of a Menvin Republic under Gazan control and military authority, and the abolishment of the Menvin Militia. Gaza was the undisputed victor of this war, but the cost of was dear to the Gazan people and the Imperial crown was severely weakened and public trust in the government faltered.

A period of relative peace followed. Economically the Republic of Menvin and the Empire of Gaza were intertwined, however growth was slow due to competition in the region (mainly from the Afrikan Empire). Luckily, recessions were rare and job security was high. This period of economic, political stability was known as the “Garja Gaza” or “Golden Gaza” period. However this was soon to come to an end as communism spread throughout the world and became overly popular with the suppressed peasants of Gaza and suppressed minorities of Menvin. Within ten years of the establishment of the Communist Parties of Gaza and Menvin the proletariat revolt had begun.

The race towards communism was surprisingly peaceful in Menvin and the People's Republic of Menvin declared complete independence in 1932. The Empire of Gaza on the other hand had an organized military and resisted the revolutionaries with armored vehicles purchased from Germany, Britain, and the United States. However after six years of constant warfare a temporary ceasefire was enacted. The outlying islands all (Hokkaido, Shikoku, Kyushu) were under control of the newly established Union of People's Republics of Gaza as each island was an “independent” republic. The peace allowed the Communist Gazans to expand their military and import Soviet supplies. The Imperial Gazan Armed Forces were caught off guard when Honshu was invaded by nearly a million well trained and experience “Red Gazan” infantry men backed by armored vehicles and equipped with motor vehicles. Within a year the Imperial Gazan capital of “Djakrum” was overthrown and the United People's Republic of Gaza was officially established in the new capital of “Jovakal” which was built entirely by the new government. The war cost the lives of nearly half of Gaza's population and brought a series of changes that involved Gaza in a series of proxy wars with the nearby Afrikan Empire. By 1944 the UPRG invaded and occupied the PRM which resulted in the Dual People's Republics of Menvin and Gaza (which is shortened to “Menvin-Gaza”).

Presidents of the Republics were elected every 16 years since 1944 with two terms maximum per president.

Ministries of the DPRMG include: Foreign Affairs, Defense, Interior, Security, Finance, State Development. Foreign Affairs handles diplomacy and relations with other nations and is part of the People's Republic of Menvin. The Ministry of Defense commands the Armed Forces of Menvin-Gaza including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Republican Guard [Gaza and Minerva] and Paraforce. The Ministry of the Interior handles relations between Menvin and Gaza as well as internal development and interstate commerce. The Ministry of Security commands the People's Reserve, People's Guard and People's Police and controls all border security and policing of the nation. The Ministry of Finance controls the allocation of funds and development of industry, commerce and services within the DPRMG. The Ministry of State Development controls the expansion of infrastructure as well as research and development. The space program and are also under control of the Ministry of State Development. Also the top secret agency of “National Surveillance Group” is under control of the Ministry of Security.

Since the establishment of an organized government the 8 year plans of the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of State Development have governed the policies of nearly all other ministries as the general infrastructure of the nation increased and the rail network expanded across Gaza and Menvin. The interstate system provided a large amount of jobs for the beginning of the DPRMG. Industry is heavily encouraged and a large series state-owned factory are outside of the capital Jovakal, where military and high priority supplies are produced. However agricultural production has been stinted by the mechanization of farming with antiquated machinery and the relocation of many Menvin farmers to industrial jobs. The economy suffered as people starved and were chronically afflicted with malnutrition, widespread revolts were suppressed by the People's Police and many millions died in the “Road to Industrialization”.

The “election” of Gnaja Jokor and Roland Hammerfest in 1960 lead to a massive expansion of the military and the People's Reserve which consumed 43% of government funds combined. The government welfare and education programs were reformed in both republics, welfare was provided to working people and the unemployed based on need and social security for elders was established. State health care programs advanced towards western standards. However, inflation became widespread and the economy began to decline in power. The response was to expand tariffs and raise production levels of steel, coal, and mechanical products. Automobile manufacturing began to come into its own right in this period as mechanical supplies and labor were excessively cheap in Gaza. Menvin's economy stagnated as manufacturing was generally considered “unsustainable” in Mevin's mountainous climate. Although Roland Hammerfest invested more than 30% of the government's funding into the “Road to Industrialization” his work did not pay off until government factories began to operate in Menvin in the 1980's. However in 1991 the Soviet Union fell and economic aid to the Republics fell drastically. Jokor and Hammerfest's successors followed their policy of economic growth through expansion of industry and military contracts. The intervention of Imperial Afrika in the Amiro civil war and Afrika's invasion of Casio lead to a series of proxy wars throughout the 1990's that destabilized Menvin-Gaza's economy.

An economic crash took place in 2001 after the September 11th terrorist attacks. Trade that had taken place with terrorist groups had to be canceled due to threats and pressure of the United States. This accounted for the vast majority of military exports for the large military equipment industry in Menvin-Gaza. A substitute for these exports was never found so more orders were placed by the military to prevent the collapse of many industries. The economy has recently fallen into more recessions as the governments mishandling allowed for loss in agricultural output and the purchase of industrial mining equipment (the large lump sum purchase caused a high tax jump and loss of public support).

However the emergency “election” of Javokal Kavlak and Kein Leinbach in 2002 helped reverse many changes in the economy by allowing private corporations and foreign investments into these corporations and companies. Kein Leinbach went as far as to give nearly tax free areas for corporate development in the business and industry section of the capital city of “Elbing”. Javokal Kavlak allowed the defense industry to “privatize” and the public could invest into the companies. The size of the army was severely reduced (from 39 divisions to 22 division) as part of these reforms and was modernized . Conscription however was expanded and people who did not serve in the military were met with a five percent wage deduction. Leinbach's programs in Menvin have opened the country to foreign and internal investments and massive economic growth. Kavlak's programs expanded the Gazan government and modernized the military as well as contributing to the massive industrialization of Gaza that occurred after 2002.
