Alanea's whole functioning depends on a hierarchy of powers and coloured 'corporations'. Below is a small factbook outlining the main powers in Alanea:-

HIGHEST ORDER OF POWER: Alanean Monarchy-the Black family. [however they merely lay the foundations of laws, not the details. They also tend to leave the security of Alanea in the hands of the delegated corporations.]

PURPLE CORPORATION: This is the parliamentary government which is made up of the Ministers of each lower corporation, as well as Sandra Gustav, the Purple Corp. Minister. Here Ministers vote on the details of laws laid down by the Monarchy and discuss matters of national interest.

BLACK CORPORATION: This is Alanea's security service. They do not necessarily have to tell the Moarchy about their operations, but must liaise everything with the Purple Corp. Minister.

WHITE CORPORATION: Alanea's corp. for the development of defence technology and scientific research.

ALANEAN ARMY: Not as powerful as the White and Black Corps., but has more power than the Red Corp.

RED CORPORATION: General police, emergency and investigation services.

BLUE CORPORATION: Alanea's naval/coast guard service.

GREEN CORPORATION: Environmental agency which has a heavy influence on many laws passed in Alanea.

SILVER CORPORATION: Media and communications.

GOLD CORPORATION: Teaching and educational ministry.

BROWN CORPORATION: Maintenance, construction and other tertiary services.

YELLOW CORPORATION: Entertainment. [This has the least power in Alanea.]

EXTRA INFORMATION

Geography: The People's Republic of Alanea is made up of one larger island-about the size of the Korean peninsular-with other surrounding islands. To the north is the Wonsan Sea, which is the body of water between mainland Alanea and the Alanean island Ingyeong. Other smaller island include Rituania, Raw Isles, Vetting Island and Yulan.

Population: At present the Alanean populous stands at 7 million. The majority are native Alaneans, however there is an increasing number of foreigners applying for citizenship. The population isparticularly dense in the capital and coastal cities, and density falls the further north you travel.

Economy: Alanea does not use a literal currency. It has an electronic chip-credit system for its citizens. This keeps the economy above average and allows each citizen rights to individual benefits. It also means that illegal immigrants and other trespassers cannot earn anything in Alanea or bring foreign money here without gaining citizenship. The economy mainly focuses on trade between foreign nations. In return for workers, weaponry or intelligence, for example, we may give natural resources, food aid or an alliance. Our trades therefore need not involve money.

Technology: Modern. The White Corporation develops specialised defence technology with the help of foreign graduates' knowledge. We also have rich resources of several metal ores in Rituania and a strong military workforce. Transport is modern, mostly underground. We operate only two airports-one on Vetting Island, for applicants to citizenship and one in Saint Arthur's City, which Alaneans and diplomats may use. We are currently seeking help for energy projects in the northern regions of Alanea.

Embassies: We are currently tied diplomatically with The Armed Republic of Nachmere, The Republic of Battlekhawk and The Rogue Nation of Torturous Chamber.

Current national issues: The Alanean Army has too many soldiers and looks to trade certain departments abroad as foreign envoys.

Current international issues: The Black Corporation are still trying to find the kidnapped Ami Kolb, said to have been taken by a foreign intelligence service.

The Alanean government are comforted in hearing your concerns about the abduction of Miss Kolb. With regards to your request to buy envoys, please read our factbook carefully, particularly the economic section. We actually as a Republic do not have a literal currency. We operate an electronic credit system for our citizens which will prevent future recessions and depressions. Therefore we will trade our envoys with your nation if your government can offer us somehing else other than money. Right now we're appealing for weapons in order to repel an up-and-coming threat.
