Due to the controversy around the Black Corporation's ordered deportation of once American citizens, the Purple Corporation government would like to publish this factbook on legal philosophy. [This is specifically by the request of Mr David Law, Defense Corporations' Professor of International Law]

Following Sir Arthur Black's discovery of Alania in the 1930s, it had been a personal passion of the Black family's to claim the new land and begin a new state based on his philosophy. He called this the Pegasus philosophy. The main principles of this philosophy were the environment, educational excellence and equality for peaceful peoples, all with a liberal backdrop.

In the early decades of the Black's reign, The Quadrant was built-today's government headquarters of the Purple Corporation-and here delegates were chosen personally by Sir Arthur Black to carry out the details of the general laws he proposed. Shortly after his death Stephanie Black, his daughter, took over parliament and now law leans only a small degree slightly more democratic than it used to be.

It is also important to note that Sir Arthur Black had troubles with American governments before the discovery of Alania. Sir Arthur wanted to completely eradicate all forms of nuclear weaponry, for example, and preserve the environment before preserving the economy, and these ideas clashed with American leaders'. Thus, there is still suspicion towards some Americans who apply for citizenship in Alanea, especially when applying to the Black Corporation. Alanea's developments for science and defence on the island of Ingyeong have come under frequent attack from Capitalist governments, who feel they have a right to know everything about Alanea's technological developments.

Today law is made by the vote of Minister's sitting in The Quadrant, however the way in which laws are elaborated go back to the roots of the Pegasus philosophy. After all, every citizen has Sir Arthur to thank for being able to live in such a unique country, and so his legacy will always have a profound affect on Alanean law and society in general.

Thank you. Purple Corp. Press.
