Talking of change: Delegates discuss the Hierphil vote

OOC: This is to help prevent too much clutter on the Hierphil vote rp. Anyone who isn't already involved is welcome as far as I'm concerned but should ask Hierphil if they can get in on the action.

IC:

The Prime Minister's Suite hotel was indeed luxurious and Ipson Grass appointee of the First Speaker felt a little uncomfortable in such lavish surroundings.

I shall probably need to be on my best behaviour he thought then reconsidered. With a Wolf's hold pro-royalist general and Augmark pro-democratic representative furniture might just get broken anyway.

Ipson looked around at his companions and then moved forwards to the desk to check in and inquire about what services the hotel offered.

He could hardly wait to see how the people would come to a decision and hoped that there would be a few good parties along the way. Still, in the meantime he could discuss the benefits of the different choices before Hierphil with his fellow delegates so he’d hardly be bored.

OOC: everyone's welcome.
IC:
At the Prime Minister's Office
York eased into the leather seat behind his desk and turned to glance out the window behind him. The sun had nearly disappeared from view and the soft pink tinge of the sky was turning bluer by the second. He sighed to himself. At this time tomorrow, we will have decided a date for the election. Judgement Day for Hierphil, he thought. He had many worries about the election but he could only hope that whatever the Hierphilian people chose would be the wisest choice.

At that very moment, newspapers and news agencies everywhere were running the records of the emergency session of Parliament. Hierphilians everywhere would be settling to watch the evening news and they would see the debate that took place earlier today. Would the Hierphilians make an educated decision?

And then there were the foreign diplomats, gathering at The Prime Minister's Suite to debate the future of Hierphil off-record. York had expected the diplomats to stay, but he wasn't sure what to expect of their debate and travels while in Hierphil...

At The Prime Minister's Suite (hotel)
The manager behind the counter was unafraid. Her hotel was used to foreign diplomats so she was proud to host the diplomats on such a monumentuous occasion. She had her most trustworthy bellboys carry the diplomats belongings upstairs to the Guest Suites on the top three floors. She liked things to go by the book and if everything went as planned, she would not be easily angered...

Takaram Chief Foreign Relations Officer Cynthia Rose sat down in her room in the Prime Minister's Suite, admiring the care that obviously went into the building of the place. She sighed with exhaustion and content, then realized she should probably call the High Councilor and give him an update, but that could wait.

Ipson watched as his small bag was carried off. If the vote took a while, which he hoped it would, then he would have to buy some new clothes. Turning to the manager he asked politely,
"Does this hotel have communal facilities like a hot tub or bathes? Or maybe a lounge or bar..."
Just as he was getting into his speculation his pocket organiser buzzed, he smiled apologetically to the manager and glanced down at the screen. It read one news update, two messages.

The update told him that Sarrowquand and Hierphil had both involved themselves in an alliance to eliminate nuclear weapons, CAN. The two states were already becoming more entwined in their business.

The first message was from one of Rebecca Silinky's secretaries a low ranking bureaucrat that he knew personally and got on well with: The message read, your Grey Bureaucrat 'aides' are pissed that you left the country without them, watch your step.

The second message was from the First Speaker herself who had just finished watching the broadcast version of the parliamentary debate. It read, good work so far, we're likely to apply for an embassy in Hierphil soon and your tipped for being ambassador.

He looked back up with a smile and asked if the manager could repeat what she had just said.

Kevin Corrie hadn't intended to sped his time at a fancy hotel, but they had a bar, so he tagged along. As soon as he arrived, he ducked into the bar, sat down at the counter, placed his James Executive, credit card on the bar, he was unsure if they accepted such cards in this country, but, at the time, it seemed to be a respectable capitalist country, so it was presumable that they would. He then said, "I'll take a Cafe Vermouth."

The manager smiled kindly at Ipson. "We offer a number of facilities. Our Thermal Spa is down the hall to the left and it will be the first door on your right. Next door is our swimming pool and jacuzzis. Down the right hallway, we have a bar and restaurant if you would like some fine dining or drink this evening."

Wolf's General Hagram watched as the foregin diplomats mixed and talked with some locals, however he had to make some arrangements. He had personnaly pleged to protect 2 if not 3 other diplomats and so he had to get the ball rolling. First of all he turned to one of his Wolf Legion aides. "Go find the Hotels security manager and intergrate are comms and other procedures" Then turning to the 6 men of the 33rd Mechanised infantry "I want 2 Men on the entance at all times, no excuses. The Remaining 4 are to station themselves in the lobby. Now get to it!" Snapping their salutes and hurrying to their assigned posititons, Generl Hagram turned finnaly to his last Wolf Legion Aide "Get on the horn to the emabbasy, we need some more men here, tell them to send squad 4 and squad 1. Oh and have the QRF put to standby" As the aide hurried to complete his tasks, the general began to wander about, hoping to talk to one of the delgates.

Kara Hollister was sitting at a desk, looking out the window at the skyline of the Hierphil city, thinking. Thinking about democracy, monarchy, society. This vote would be a test of human nature. Will people let their inate fear, fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of life, take control of them, and elect a tyrant who will promise order, in exchange for blood, hate, and death. Can people see past themselves, and take responsibility of not just their lives, but of other people, and realize that there is no one watching overthem, that they all must be responsible, in order to save society as a whole, from the fear and hate brought about by the unknown. Will people, given the option, opt for a tyrant, or a system where every person has a say in what happens around them.

She needed a drink,...she traversed the distance to her door, and went to the main lobby, where she found a bar resteraunt not to far away. She went in ordered a drink, and sat down.

“I think the bar first, then maybe some Jacuzzi fun!” Ipson said and nodded to the manager, he then motioned to the Wolf hold general to follow scarcely noticing that his entourage had decreased by two; he headed at a fast walk towards the bar, seeing that both the representative of Augmark and the representative from the Beatus were present he looked from one to the other trying to decide where to sit, fearful that the Wolf hold general he presumed was following him would tire of his indecision and hoist him through the portal, he took a seat at the bar roughly between the two other delegates. Catching the bartender’s eye he ordered a bottle of Gosti, then remembering he wasn’t in Sarrowquand asked for a flatliner and a pint of Ale instead.

As he waited for his drink he engaged in a series of nods and winks aimed at the other two delegates to attract their attention.

General Hagram now alone as his guards and aides had scuttled off to complete their tasks saw the subtle hint the Sarrowquand delegate gave for him to follow. Following him into the bar, he waited pateintly fora few seconds whislt he chose where to sit. Just as he was about to grow tiresome of the Sarrowquands indecsion and push him into a seat, the representative moved to sit down. "Finnaly" The General sarcatically re-markarked to himslelf. Ignoring the other representatives, he sat down next to the Sarroquand represntative and ordered a large shot of vodka, downing the shot in two gulps he ordered another one, but left in on the bar.

General Sidorov's private jet now circled the Hierphilian capitol. He could hear his pilot speaking through the radio.

"Xultan flight GS001 requesting permission to land at Hierphil International Airport."

Sidorov strained his ear to hear the Hierphilian response. He knew that the air traffic controler would be radioing to his superiors to find out how to respond. That within a matter of minutes the Prime Minister would be on the phone making the final decision...

The young air traffic controller froze. He had seen what Xult could do personally. And he was terrified. After a moment, he recovered and shot out of his chair, racing for a phone. He dialed the number for his superior who in turn patched him through the to Prime Minister's office. After a moment of silence, he heard:

"Prime Minister Remus York, who is this?"

"Mr. Prime Minister, I am Jackson Row, an airtraffic controller for Hierphil International Airport."

"Ok, Mr. Row, what can I do for you?

"Xultan Flight GS001 is requesting permission to land."

There was a pause. York knew GS001. It was General Sidorov's private jet. He knew that this could be a chance for open dialogue with the enemy. But precautions would have to be taken.

"Permission granted. Call the Minister for Homeland Security and tell him to have a rather large police escort bring Mr. Sidorov to the Prime minister's Suite."

Jackson Row relayed the Prime Minister's response to the pilot and waited for a reply.

Sidorov allowed himself a rare smile as his plane began its decent into Hierphil. This was a rare opportunity for him to be allowed within Hierphil so he would not waste it.

His plane touched down and he exited the terminal into a small army of police officers. He hadn't expected any less of the Prime Minister. He wasn't trusted. The officers escorted him and his small squad of Xultan Ground Forces out of the airport and into a parade of armored black SUVs which took them to the Prime Minister's Suite hotel. The General marched into the overly exquisite lobby and approached the counter. "I'm General Vladimir Sidorov of the Supreme Dominion of Xult. One of your finest please."

Kevin had just finished of his second Cafe Vermouth, when he heard someone say "Xult. One of your finest please." It seemed like an odd thing for someone to say, where they selling some kind of Xult related merchandise in the gift shop or something? He got up from the bar, to go and see, when he spotted Xult soldiers in the lobby. The first thing that ran through Kevin's head was, "Why would they be selling Xult soldiers at a hotel? I could see if this were one of 'those' clubs, were guys go for that. Wait, is it?" Kevin had now thoroughly confused himself, and decided he would walk over, and see what this was all about. Luckily he remembered his credit card before walking over towards the Xult guards.

OOC: The Beatus you owe me a new budweiser for the spit take that resulted form your post.

"It can't harm to know how an allies political systems works. So tell me how does your political system work?"

"Well General the first house of government is the Speaker's council which consists of twenty six representatives elected to the upper and lower forums. The upper forum is made up of the thirteen senior Speakers listed one to thirteen and the lower forum is fourteen to twenty six. The role of the Speaker is to capture the imagination and direct the people in meaningful enterprise. Speakers say what laws should exist and what needs to be done and have few limits on their authority. The big limit is popularity; the population maintain a stance on each speaker as to whether they support or don't support them and the populous is also constantly polled on how they feel about each issue a Speaker brings to the Forum, as long as a speaker has the people at their back they can do anything but if the people are unwilling to believe in them then they become feeble and neutered by fear of a no-confidence vote. Speakers serve for life unless they become unpopular and as there is an ongoing opinion survey they can be removed at any time. Dominion citizens aren’t that fickle though so typically once they have won enough support to become a Speaker they stay there for awhile.

There’s also an aspect of direct democracy through electronic methods as the greater Forum is the last part of the first house and is made up of every citizen who can be bothered to cast a vote. The Greater Forum is always open for debate and always casts votes but the situation determines which of the three parts of the Forum are actually tallied and which are just used to gage the popular support for an issue. Some issues are only tallied in the Upper Forum, the first thirteen Speakers and some involve the whole population. In the former the Speakers watch the people to see how in tune they are with them in the later the people watch the Speakers to see how in tune they are with their professed party politics.

The Second house is the Grey Bureaucracy which is made up of about three and a half million guys and gals with huge poles up their assets. Every one works for the Bureaucracy at some point because you have to do two years of conscription to learn how the government processes all the junk that it passes through its enormous entrails and that’s what its all about, the bureaucrats take all of the ideas that the forum spews out and turns it into legislation. They fill a lot of other roles as well and its worth noting that up until the New Radical party told the Bureau to form a new reserve force of soldiers we had more bureaucrats then army: By rights there should have been some Greys on this trip but I ditched them before I left.

The Third house is the Technocratic advisory…”

Ipson had been lubricating his speech with increasing amount of Ale and had stacked up two empties and was half way through his third when he caught a change in the air. Someone was standing next to him saying something about being a supreme general and getting the finest. This was confusing because the Wolf Hold General was on his other side and had just ordered a drink, he looked around the bar to see that some rather stiff unfriendly men were now dispersed throughout the room and that the Beatusian representative was approaching one with a slight sway.

The manager, who normally maintains a calm welcoming expression, was thoroughly alarmed at the sudden Xultan pressence in the lobby of her hotel.

When she recovered, she said, "Uhh- yes. Yes of course. One moment please." She picked up the phone, her hand shaking, and dialed the Prime Minister. After a moment, she heard York come on the phone and she mumbled, "Xultan General in my lobby." To her horror, the Prime Minister replied, "That's fine. Permit him." She bid goodbye to the Prime Minister and hung up.

Kevin was quite surprised, not as surprised as many had been, when they found out he was only sixteen years old, however still surprised. "How many drinks have I had?" he muttered to himself. He was clearly hallucinating a Xult general, who had now moved from the lobby, to the bar. He decided he must be, and to prove it, he walked up behind the General, and ever so carefully prodded the back of his shoulder. He was again surprised, he was definitely not hallucinating, this really was some guy dressed up in a Xult General's uniform. Well, it certainly looked like someone was planning a party, and well, he really wasn't that type, 'when in Rome', not to mention he was quite drunk, and had been known to sway that way when he was. "Yes they have, we have 6 Men on the entrance, A sniper set up down the road, 4 Men in the lobby, soldiers guarding various strong points in the hotel, we have liason with hotel security, we have 4th Squad in reserve stationed in the Storage room and the QRF is ready to move at a moments notice."
"Very good, Get 4th Squad to the Bar, we may have a developing situation, tell them safteys off but keep the weapon down."
"Yes sir! Legion Out"
With that, General Hagram placed the radio back on his belt and undid the top of his holster. As he watched the young kid annoying the soldiers and the other delegate watching dubiously he was relived when the 8 men of 4th Squad edged into the bar through security entrances, Clearly holding their MAC-303 rifles ready to shoot at a moments provocation.

Deputy Thedzari happened to wander into the bar when he saw a strange looking military commander must be Sidorov he thought. Noticing the general's behavior, Deputy Thedzari gripped his sword. However he immediately let go and reached for his transponder and contacted his security detail, which included both militiamen and natikodi. Then he gripped his sword once more, just in case, and approached the man, Ervino asked "There seem to be a problem, sir?"

The fact that this was truly, a General from Xult, cleared Kevin's mind much, enough, for him to reach for the 9mm Luger in his shoulder holster, however, he noted others doing the same, relaxed, and instead pulled an idea out of his wallet. "I am Kevin Corrie, representative of the Beatus, concerning the current situation in Hierphil," flashing the General his credentials. He felt somewhat safe, while he had no guards with him, it was a crowded room, and from the looks of things, most of them were armed. He knew he was, from the 9mm Luger in his shoulder holster, fully loaded, and safety off, to the hunting knife on his belt, to his bare hands if necessary. "A meeting with the Prime Minister than? Ervino noticed Prime Minister York at a table not too far from the entrance and tried to get his attention, approaching and clearing his throat. "Prime Minister, I am starting to think I was sent here for a reason," began Ervino, "for a diplomat of my level is generally not sent as a permanent ambassador to a country. "Do not let anyone know that I am actually the head of Counter-Terrorism," muttered Deputy Director Thedzari, "it could cause complications. I have my suspicions about General Sidorov, especially since the Korintari Fascist League has allied with SCAR. I am wondering how President Tubari of the KFL got the funds to purchase 1500 M8A1s, very advanced weaponry. With SCAR keeping a low profile as of late, beyond a few threats, of course, it would have caused a scene trying to wire the 1.8 million required for such a purchase. Thus it would have to go through a sovereign state, Xult seems like a prime suspect in our circles. Korintari intel suggests that Sidorov's purposes are not peaceful... they are planning something huge. How I know this is that not long after Sidorov's plane arrived, two small, unmarked, private jets, carrying, according to eye witness reports, an armed group of 12 individuals, landed. A wire tap shows communications between the two groups. The group in the jets were obvious KFL members from this communications tap. This was also acceptable. Kevin knew that the Hierphil government, would never accept bloodshed, or violence, yet, Kevin's honor had been impugned, by the General's earlier comments. "Though not higher than ours, is it?" countered Kevin. His delay was due to the fact, that he had to calm himself, after forcefully suppressing his great urge to burst into laughter at the General's fanciful fairy tale on his nations past. "And again, if you believe that economic stability, and prosperity, are solely based upon the government, and it's actions, than you are sorely behind in your economics education."

Deputy Thedzari got the following transmission on his transponder:
Do not trust General Sidorov, our super computers just broke the Xultan military coding system. His mission is a fake diplomatic mission to allow SCAR access to Hierphil. KFL forces, as well as SCAR members, are suspected of being at the airport at this moment.- Cheri Konstado
Reading this, he was instantly terrified, and infuriated, at the same time. He would not let this happen, so he whispered to PM York, "I just got a message from the intelligence agencies back home. If what they are saying is true, my security detail, along with members of the Hierphilian army must be dispatched to Hierphil International Airport immediately, and General Sidorov will need to be taken into custody. Reason is that SCAR and KFL are here. It appears my suspicions are confirmed, Vladmir Sidorov is here on false pretenses, as his mission is to distract us, I suspect, long enough for SCAR to launch an attack." With that said, he showed him the text on his transponder:

Sidorov noticed the internal struggle that Corrie went through. Apparently, he knows a lot about SCAR. No matter. Who is he to corect me on my own nation's history?

Sidorov stared intently at the diplomat. "In Xult, the government has a powerful hand in the economy. If the private sector is unable to hold up their end of the bargin, we make them fulfill their duty to Xult. So the actions of the Nikitin family have indeed influenced the economy heavily, son."

For some reason no one had noticed that the Wolf Hold marines still lined the room. General Hagram was observing the situation with a mix of amusment and interest. He watched as the mounting confrontation between the Xultan general and the delegate from the Beatus escelated and then calmed back down. He then noticed the look of terror on the Konitar delegates face, intrigued by this look of horror and the hushed conversation between the Heirphil president and the Konitar delegate. Walking over towards the two men, MAC-303 hed by its carry rail in his hand. He approached and asked, "i sae the look of horror on your faces, may I be of any help?"

"Surely these transmissions should prove it, Prime Minister," said Thedzari, "it also suggests that we might need to have a significant number of soldiers or outfit them with as powerful of weapons as we can. This is because M8A1s are powerful combat weapons, so I recommend Hierphilian special ops with the Korintari natikodi, if possible. Trust me when I say this, it will be extremely low profile with the natikodi working with Hierphilian soldiers...no one will ever know, that is, until we have Oscar, Ivan, Bespin, and Vlad over there in handcuffs, along with their accomplices.

If I encounter any trouble, I am more than capable of defending myself as you might notice. I am 6' 11 3/4'' tall and weigh 387 lbs, after all, with not an ounce of fat on me. I was one of the best fighters when I was in basic training. I could have joined the natikodi, which is Korintari special ops, and reached at least Visser-4 level, which is one of the highest ranks there is. Besides my abilities, I am armed with my saber, which is the weapon I am most adept at using in combat. If Sidorov is any indicator of what Xultan soldiers are like, I bet I could probably incapacitate them with in a few minutes, with minimal detection, provided I was given about 50 soldiers of course."

General Hagram considered the Konitars delegates offer, his mind wworking through all the possibilites and tatical outcomes. He had not been apointed the CinC of the Wolf Hold marines training program for nothing. He worked through the calculations in his head, weighing up reaction times, weapon comparison and other factors, he reached a rather mixed conclusion when he factored in the saber but somthing naggled him, how could Konitar special forces depoly so quickly unless....

"Excuse me Deputy Thedzari how can your forces deploy so quickly unless they are already in the country? Need I remind you that having special forces inside a country uin-anounced is a very un-diplomatic move. Also you plan on taking a large number of men quietly? I severly doubt that, no offence to your special forces but any attempt to take these terrorists out is going to be noisy not to mention its on a civillian airfield! Sorry but Mr York, I can have my men lock down this building in 2 minutes capturing the Xultan leader also my QRF of 8 Vixen Armoured Landrovers and 2 HIFVs is ready to move in a moments notice. We can assault the airport within 30 minutes and have the terrorists dead or captured soon after. This matter can not be kept quiet and every moment we wait gives them a chance to move. We outgun and outmatch these terrorists, my marines are vetrans of the Invasion, Comorostan-Empire war and the subjgation of Albunida, they are some of the best and more to the point they can get the job done, just say the word and this will all be over."

"Locking this place down would be amenable to me. I also think it is wise to proceed in dispatching forces to the airport immediately. But, just so you know, General Hagram," responded Deputy Thedzari, "I did mention that Korintari special ops forces, a.k.a. natikodi, were part of my security detail when T'blis Oltavi desired to establish an embassy in Hierphil. That is the case for every Korintari government official of my rank and higher, as I am second in command to the heads of state themselves. I did not wish this to be revealed, as it could endanger me if General Sidorov found out. He already regards me with suspicion, and I fear he might take action against me should he discover my true rank. If necessary, as Korintar is not far from Hierphil, if given 2 hrs notice, Security Director Cheri Konstado could dispatch up to 350 militia, 120 national army soldiers, and 14 natikodi to Hierphil. Our special ops have been trained exceptionally well, and I am a former military man myself. Our current Director of International Affairs can vouch for my abilities, that much I assure you. I understand it could potentially cause a scene, if met with violence, but I know full well that my men have been trained in conflict de-escalation. But that is more a hope than anything else. I believe it is necessary to act quickly. Should I contact my higher ups to send in reinforcements just in case?"

He flipped the antenna up, and quickly punched in the number on his satellite phone, and moments later, his call was routed to the embassy. There was the delay, which he rather disliked, especially, when calling just up the block, but this was the way. He was very careful, to allow a good amount of time for the Embassy staff to respond, before speaking again, he hated it when the delay made people speak at the same time, as it could get confusing. "Hello, yes," Kevin said. "I will be bringing a guest with me for dinner." There was a long pause. "I know how late it is." Another long pause. "Call it breakfast then." An even longer pause. "No we don't want to eat breakfast, we want a dinner." Pause. "I don't care what time it is, I'd have had less trouble going to IHOP." Pause. "I am glad that we understand each other." Pause. "No need, my car will be enough." Pause. "Thank you." He pressed the end button, folded the antenna down, and placed the brick of a phone back into his pocket. Ebonius answered, "*to the 'security guard'* Sir, it seems as though we may need to fight our way to the plane. *to the KFL, shouting* Take up defensive positions immediately!" They did as they were told and produced their M8A1s, ready to fight.

The Korintari forces approached the plane with caution, not knowing they had been detected.

Ervino Thedzari shouted, "Fall back, comrades. I need to consult with General Hagram.*to Gen. Hagram* You sure your men are up to this? I need warn you once again that this SCAR is no joke, they are quickly developing capabilities of an actual military in terms of weaponry. As for the KFL, they are well armed for their weapons, no offense, make yours look like fossils. Our regular army had encountered them once when the KFL got their upgrade, and this was just before our regular army was armed in kind, and were decimated. So I suggest we exercise caution."

So Ervino drew his sword from its scabbard, glinting in the early morning emerging sunlight. The weapon measured four and a half feet long and weighed ten pounds. The blade was recently sharpened, so it could cut through just about anything.

As soon as the order was spoken the 2 HIFVs accelerated followed by the WMIKs and then the landrovers. Ipson looked troubled by what he had heard but kept his smile, Corrie was ahead of him and they were just reaching a door which lead towards the nearest hotel bathroom as well as several other facilities; he looked around briefly to see two Wolf Hold marines following him, as the Beatusian crossed the portal Ipson stopped and closed the door with him on one side and Corrie on the other. "What is going on here, you've no right to interfere with my actions" he said standing squarely between the marines and the now closed heavy wooden door.

Suddenly the KFL fighter emerged and proceeded to open fire. One member of the natikodi fired back, temporarily disabling one of the fighters. A small transport would was flying towards the north east to Hierphil. These were the reinforcements from Korintar. They were armed and ready to fight. Meanwhile the KMSS Atenou relayed a message to the ground to fuel and fire up the Tachyon-Xwings, a few of which were already flying in air at speeds reaching Mach 4.

The General left the bathroom, thoroughly alarmed at what the Supreme Chancellor had told him. He was about to be left in Hierphil without a ship to return home. What's more, his plane was underfire at HIA in an attempt to capture Korintari terrorists. As he pulled the bathroom door shut behind him, he noticed Ipson and Corrie standing defensively in the hallway. "Am I interrupting something, gentlemen?"

The 'security guard' from Hierphil International was furiously trying to start the plan. As the engines of the armored jet roared to life, he looked out the window and saw a battle raging around him. "What the hel* is going on?"

General Hagram looked coldly at Ipson and Corrie and was about to respond when the Xultan General emerged from the bathroom. "Under orders from Mr York, the Heirphillian prime minister we have placed this hotel under lockdown. We are doing this for your own protection as we have discovered a plot to cause an uprisng in Heirphill, whislt we have dispatched forces to the airport were the terrorists were meeting, to ensure your saftey, Wolf Hold marines and Heirphillian security forces have this building under complete lockdown, the only way in and out is the front doors which are covered by a squad of my best men. Now please can you head back into the bar, it is all for your security." The General was being all diplomatic and trying not to be provocative, however when you are carrying an assault rifle and you have two marines behind you carrying assault rifles it is pretty hard not to be intimidating.

As General Sidorov's plane was trying to take off, the KFL combatants rushed towards the plane, still shooting at the Space Defense Corps and The Wolf Hold forces. Then Ebonius bumped right into Deputy Thedzari. "Hello, boys," he said with a wicked smile on his face, "where exactly do you think your going?"

"None of your business, Commander," sneered Ebonius.

"I take it you were going to Xult, weren't you? You were going to team up with SCAR to commit further atrocities, I presume. Well, I cannot let you do that," answered Ervino, with his sword dangerously close to Ebonius' neck!

"Out of my way," growled Ebonius, shoving Deputy Thedzari and aiming his gun at him. In a flash, Ebonius' head rolled to the ground, and his body slumped to the asphalt in a pool of blood. It was his own fluids which gushed forth from his neck as his eyes began to glaze over a few feet to the left of him.

"Who's next," growled Deputy Thedzari, and the men quickly scrambled to their planes, except for one poor bastard, but we'll get to him later. As they were scrambling, the Deputy Director said, "well I asked politely, but I will give you one last chance...open up, we have a warrant to search the plane. Consider this your final warning before I break the door down." As he said this a soldier from The Wolf Hold gave him a battering ram to break down the door.

Remember the, um, horse's rectum we mentioned earlier? Well, just then the idiot from the KFL charged at Thedzari. Seeing this he shouted, "you frickin' stupid or something!" He then grabbed the man by the throat and lifted him into the air single handedly, and slammed him into the runway below. This rebel groaned as his brains spilled forth out onto the runway, feeding the earth with more blood. This dude was living proof, now dead proof, that fascists are f---ing stupid thought the Deputy Director with a big smile appearing on his face.

General Sidorov took the seat closest to the driver. "So how far to your embassy?" he inquired.

Alarms and buzzers sounded in the cockpit as the 'security guard' frantically attempted to get the jet in the air. However, one fatal little light told him that the airplane had caught fire and they were losing fuel fast. Not a good combination.

The flight attendant heaved a series of sobs as she tried to get her nerves under control. She didn't speak fluent english. But she knew what the Korintari was asking. "General Sidorov is great man. I not terrorist. General not terrorist. Why you harm us?"

"I do not know, I would assume he's still at the bar with the other ambassadors," responded Deputy Thedzari. As he said this he accidentally hit himself in the head as he opened one of the cargo drawers. "Going down," he shouted as he fell into an empty seat. He immediately sprang up with everyone laughing for he tended to be somewhat funny during tense situations. "I think I'll step out to smoke a joint, if you don't mind," he said. As he lit up the weed he fished his transponder out of his back pocket and called Prime Minister York to give him an update.

"Good Morning, Prime Minister! I have good news and bad news," said Deputy Thedzari, "The good news is that we, um, pacified the Korintari terrorists. In other words they are all dead. I decapitated their leader and choke slammed what might be best referred to as the village idiot of the group. As for the rest, the other ten shot each other in the head as mass suicide to evade capture. As for the bad news, seems like somebody thought it was a bright idea to shoot two missles at General Sidorov's airplane. Thus I think The Wolf Hold and Korintar may need to buy him a new one as a show of good diplomacy and basic human decency. Luckily no one was hurt, except for a Xultan flight attendant may need therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to the fire fight that went on around her. We have come across some suspicious looking documents that we hope she will be able to translate for us."

Meanwhile in an undisclosed location in Korintar, President Tubari was resting on his bed. He received a message from the 'security guard' about the incident and he was not amused. He would have to go to Xult immediately! Ivan Nikitin stood on the dock overlooking the sea. He had received Bespin's letter a few hours before and made arrangements to meet him personally. Now he and a rather large group of disguised SCAR operatives were standing on the port dock as the bitter winter wind blew hard against his face. The gray coulds above harkened snow, but weather was no matter. SCAR's recently purchased polar planes would be sufficient for flight in any inclimate weather. Besides, Ivan was warm. His knee length fur coat and beretta kept him rather warm. He just hoped his foreign guests could quickly adapt to the arctic winter.

IC: "Well, Viktor, since you have said your name, I guess I should tell you mine," began Ervino Thedzari, "I am Ervino Thedzari, the ambassador from Korintar, and I actually work in counter-terrorism. I take it you are a pilot and security guard, am I right?"

Bespin finally reached the shore of Xult. The harsh climate reminded him too much of his growing up years. He noticed a few of his men shivering, and he growled and pointed to the bottom of the ship...they were too foolish to grab their coats. Seeing him pointing though, they got the message and soon returned in winter gear. As for Bespin, he had ice in his veins, so he considered it polo shirt and shorts weather! "Reichskommissar Ivan Nikitin, I presume," said Bespin with a wicked grin, "I am President Bespin Ostrino Tubari V, head of the Korintari Fascist league, and I hope our alliance will be most fruitful for both SCAR and the KFL. "I would take you to the capitol, Imperial City, but it would be of no use. My brother is out of the country at the moment. So instead I'll take you straight to the outpost- in the morning that is." Nikitin flashed his new comrade a smile. "I trust you and your men would like to- erm- 'unwind' in the port-city for the night.
