OOC: this is a scenario, that won't affect anything outside of this thread. Because I don't want to make a map, the city will be orangeville, because all three members know it well. google earth will probably come into play. The number of soliders will probably end up being decided by Richard, the smart one.

*Macgruber will be the random invading force, trying to take Richy's city, and stomp out the guerrillas.

*Unibot, you're the defending army, trying to fend off Macgruber, and eliminate the guerrillas.

*Cuborg is the guerrilla army bent on taking the city from the Unibot government, whilst also making sure that Macgruber doesn't take control.

IC: Macgruber forces move by trucks from highway 9.

Guerrilla forces will move from the north, along Highway 10. Shall we say the Unibot defenders are already inside the city?

That is great but since we are fighting for Orangeville, i don't think 50mill on 50mill on 30mill is going end soon or is even going to fit in the town. The population of Orangeville is about 27,000 so now we have to work out attacking numbers, defender numbers and guerrilla numbers. I think the guerrillas should have less men in there ''army'' than both Unibot and me. remember this is just a scenario in our town, it doesn't affect the rest of NS.

Those numbers are for your entire military not the ones your going to use, unless of course you think it's necessary to send your entire military to attack a town.

General E. Casey was an aging general who walked down the abandoned street, Broadway, smoking a cigar. Troops in clad green (with blue Unibotian armbands) lined the street’s sidewalk, on both sides. He proceeded walking down the hill, which had been cleared mainly for him. Soldiers looked away as they saw Casey glare at them; the ones that looked him in the eye were doomed. Private Francis O’Neill knew this better than most, his friend last year ceased to be his friend, when he looked Casey in the eye by accident, the General just gestured to his Batsman as he continued doing his rounds, the Batsman hadn’t hesitated to declare the soldier’s decimation. O’Neill found the silence across the street to be an awkward one; the town’s people had been filed into the designated protection havens… Liagiba, Merridew and Asclepios. The Liagiba station was where they kept the women…a barricaded Orangeville mall, Merridew was the Orangeville Secondary School where they were keeping the children and Asclepios was the Lord Dufferin Centre which had been turned into a hospital ward for the sick and wounded (the original residents, seniors, were shot and buried in a ditch by the schoolyard), as Casey wasn't sure the Headwaters Hospital or the Avalon were going to be kept in Unibotian possession, and were further away from the centre of the town then he liked.

Casey stopped, and turned around; the soldiers breathed heavily hoping to god they hadn’t stared into his eyes…the General gestured to the centre of the road where there was a fountain.

“Get it rid of it, quick” ordered Casey.

A man stepped up to the General, bending down on his knees to aim a M72 LAW which fired a 66 mm High Explosive Anti-Tank warhead into the centerpiece. Casey nodded his head in approval, and turned around, pointing to a statue of Lawrence Orange (the town’s founder).

“That one too.”

The solider dropped the one use gun, and grabbed another rocket launcher.
Within thirty seconds, the statue was a pile of smoking rubble that had exploded all across the road.

“Good show.” The general mumbled as he walked into the Town hall (the war room), which was heavily fortified with 50 footmen, and a few dozen tanks.

OOC: So what are the numbers for the city? Within reason? Several thousand each, with light armor and support, with some artillery for the attackers?

And there will be no support from the outside. What we got is what we got. No back up.
Unibot

I've got 41,000 troops in Orangeville, 3,000 are defending those safe zones.
Cuborg
05-03-2009, 23:57
Define safe zones. And there should be less soldiers. Much less.
Unibot

No less soldiers. If you want to up your solider count, you can too.

My safe zones are explained in my earlier post.

OOC: Alright, so you're defending Headwaters at the moment? And the guerrillas will number in at around 34 thousand, Macgruber at say, 47 000? What are the cities defenses? Artillery?
Unibot

what are the cities defenses

Without going into too much detail, tanks...a minefield past C-Line in the swamplands...footmen....and two or three bombers overheard.

OOC: Where would you house the bombers? At an (invented) airfield in Orangeville? If not, it calls into the 'outside support' we frown upon.

The rebel scout lifted the heavy metal manhole cover just an inch up. The smoke from the explosions had just cleared. The memory of Orange Lawrence had been erased, just like everything the new government disliked. The scout looked around at the captured town hall, taken by the oppressive military. He silently slide the cover back down, and radioed back to the base within the miles of sewers underneath Orangeville. After about a minute, he took another look at the town hall. It was just a matter of time before that bastard poked his head out again.

Recon had just reported in. The General had just entered the HQ. There was no way that the small rag-tag group of rebels would get him there. They would have to work their way up through those who were stupid enough to leave the fortress. But the assassinations were not the highest priority. The rebellion needed to rescue the many women and children taken hostage above anything else.

A Macgruber armored column moved towards the hospital. Tanks cut across the field behind it to the suburb, with APCs trailing behind them. Up highway 9, a similar column moved up towards Purple Hill. The goal was to set up a defensive position at Purple Hill, crossroads by the hospital and the hospital, right in front of Highway 10 and on highway 9.

5 Abrams tanks and 5 boxer APC with 150 ground troops rush the suburb behind the hospital from the field.

10 Abrams tanks, 5 self propelled artillery pieces with 300 troops most in Humvees and Boxers for additional support head to secure a line of houses on purple hill right between highway10 and the rest of Orangeville.

5 Black Hawks head towards the hospital to land on the roof. 3 others head to land on island lake school. while waiting for 1200 Ground soldiers to reach the hospital and 400 to reach the school for additional support for both buildings. 5 Abrams tanks set up at the corner road by the hospital where the traffic lights are. Humvees and Boxers head down highway 10 and turn towards the hospital.

OOC:There's an airfield just outside of Orangeville. Small and hidden. Real too.

IC: Sergeant Wilson did not know what plan the General had in mind when he had all of the doctors, nurses and equipment shipped to Lord Dufferin. But it seemed like very strange orders, his tactical team had left with the last transients as Wilson completed the last of the General's bizarre orders.

Upon Casey's eccentric war doctrine, Wilson's entire squadron was walking the hallways in stolen doctor attires, and patient dresses. Hiding his firearm under his clothing, Wilson walked down one of the empty surgery wards of Headwaters hospital, inspecting the rooms, and the courtyard. Everything seemed fine.

The Group crossed the field and made into the subdivision. Tanks and APCs made there way through gaps in the houses and crushed fences, in till they where on the road. Loud speakers ordered civilians to made there way into the field where the tanks just crossed. Resisters would be shot on the spot. The Helicopters Reached its targets and circled the building and then they would begin to land and drop off the men on the roof.
Humvees,Tanks and Apcs began Moving by the Subdivisions on both sides of the highways. So Far the plan was going well, but some far they have only begun the fight.

The rebel sniper team laid dead center in the field west of the mall. The two men wore ghillie suits and the rifle was under similar webbing. The spotter peered at the mall through his binoculars, taking note of the exterior defenses.

OOC: What are the exterior defenses that are visible?
Unibot

What are the exterior defenses that are visible?

None, the General doesn't want to signal the building's importance. Theres lots of footsoldiers walking around inside.
Cuborg

The sniper team noted that there were no soldiers at the mall. They radioed into the rest of the men. The 3500 men waiting in the abandoned houses at Starview jogged through the backyards and trees, until they could see the northern wall. Moving almost silently, the point-men placed fertilizer bombs against one concentrated spot on the wall. The commander signaled for everybody to clear away from the wall, and they did. They all trained their weapons at where a very large hole was about to be. Most of the men had hunting shotguns, some had semi-auto rifles, and the occasional stolen assault rifle. "Do it."

OOC: Richarb, what is the equipment of the men inside the mall?

The Soldiers ran up to the hospital doors on all sides, The Blackhawks dropped off 32 Special forces with gas masks. "Breach." The commander ordered and the soldiers rushed into the hospital. To there surprise only doctors and patents where visible. "Sorry folks, I'm going have to ask you to head outside." Was a common order to the people in the hospital as the soldiers moved in. The Special Forces still waited for a breach order, but it didn't come yet.
The Blackhawks on the school landed and the men immediately entered the school going down a door on the roof and threw a flash bang into the unknown hallway before rushing out.
Tanks made there way to establish a line at purple hill in between highway 10 and the rest of the city. the tanks set up undercover of houses or businesses. Soldiers rushed into houses to help make the defensive line. Soldiers set up in the Boston pizzas and also hid behind cars in the parken lot below.

Sorry guys but I think I'm going to have to pull out of the war or have it postponed. I'm having a hard time walking in a straight line from all the antibiotics I'm on. I've come down with something.

Thanks for inviting me anyway.
