The Dogs of war ( FT ATTN ALLIES AND GPI)

The Fedral Union

The various holo cameras at the capital buildings podium flickered on. President Logan Stood there peering out towards the massive Senatorial assembly, he had a solemn look on his pale semi rough face. He spoke out in a loud corse voice.

Good evening my fellow Terrans, I come to you tonight and today in some areas with horrid news. Yet with determination. The GPI government has just tendered a declaration of war against our country, we knew this was coming in some way and have been trying to avoid it. The United Terran Federation has not initiated any hostile action against the GPI. We have repeatedly attempted to open a dialogue with the alien government, but all our attempts have been rejected. We have not sought war, but when we find ourselves under attack by an unreasoning alien foe, we have a sacred duty to defend our nation with every means at our disposal. GPI will soon discover the indomitable will of the Human race. We refuse to retreat in the face of such naked aggression. We will resist these attacks with all our strength. As Commander-in-Chief of the Stellar Navy, I have ordered that all measures be taken to provide for our defense. I am certain that I echo the sentiments of this Assembly and of the people of Federation when I say we will defend ourselves from this alien menace and will insure that such aggression will never endanger our worlds again. I hereby ask the Federation Senate to formally declare that as of this date, March 4th , 2811, a state of war exists between the United Terran Federation and The Realms under the GPI. I will now wait until the vote is tendered. But I will say a few words as the vote commences.

I have ordered all reserve fleets, and units mobilized along our worlds, I have left our generals to set in motions offensive and preemptive strikes against The Realms under the GPI and its government. But military might alone will not win this war, determination support and the spirit of the Terran people will. And we will do what we must to prevent another threat from them.- - -

Stopping for a moment the president looked and nodded to the senate starting to speak out the bill.

The Federation Senate has voted on the proposal the -

Resolution UTFS/RES/109/51 (2811)
Adopted by the General Assembly of the senate at its 536th meeting, on the
4 of March 2811

The General Assembly,

Whereas the Realms under the GPI have declared unprovoked declaration of war against the United Terran Federation.

Bearing in mind its primary responsibility under the the maintenance of interplanetary peace and security,

Having considered all possible diplomatic alternatives,

1. Declares accordingly that the that a state of war exists between the United Terran Federation and the Realms under the GPI;

2. Authorizes and directs Senate and the President of the Federation to employ the entire naval and military force of the Terran Federation and the resources of the government to wage war against the Realms under the GPI , with the goal of bringing the conflict to a successful conclusion.

Votes for: 698 Votes against: 0 Abstain: 2.

I cannot say how sad I feel that diplomatic efforts have failed.. But. We will not loose this conflict, we will not yield. And we will do as I said before what ever is necessary to protect our people, our allies and our freedom against the fascist alien oppressors that seek to knock on our doors. I ask the people to bare with me and stay strong. Thank you, and good night.

The holo networks broadcasted this to all the federation and its allies making sure the galaxy heard the message. The Federation was now at war.

Third and fourth fleet rally points Rockland expanse, several light years from the romedos / GPI border. Massive swarms of ships ripped open slip points appearing in to the darkness of space hundred of small and large ships rippled through coming to a crawl ominously floating in formation. Over four hundred ships and six hundred and fifty troop transports flew in a close clustered formation readying for the next jump.

Admiral Ronald Jamison stood on the bridge of the newly constructed and commissioned battle ship enterprise, he stood in center of the well lit bridge watching as officer walked back and forth taping on a few holo consoles. His slender body was covered mostly by the semi powered armor now worn by all officers due to the state of war issued. He crossed his arms over his chest, his black hair was slick and his brown eyes reflected some of the large holographic maps and images of the consoles in front of him. His executive officer Vice admiral Tammy Richardson stepped up to the Fleet Admiral and saluted starting to speak as he turned over and nodded.

“Sir these are the reports, the fleets ready to jump but since regulations require we send in a scout team first that’s what we’re going to do, we’re sending in several SA-43 stalkers modified with stealth and cloaking devices and tight beam QE transmitters to send data back.. Trent hawkings will be piloting.”

Ronald nodded stiffly responding as he placed his metal gloved hands on the holo console in front of him.

“Good I want long range scanners on the fritz I want to know every thing and any thing, tell them they are go for recon.”

The Third and Fourth fleets where some of the original elements mobilized when the DEFCON 2 order was issued and it was not hard rallying them to a point on a map, the Rockland expanse was covered mostly by fields of asteroids and nebulae. It was partly still in federal space thus the perfect cover for an assault.

The bay doors of the two point five kilometer enterprise opened two sleek and small fighter craft glided out the force fields around the doors shimmering gently as their blackened forms passed through disappearing in to the mundane night. Trent looked around his rather smoothly designed cockpit. Holo consoles to each side of him. His control stick firmly in his gloved grasp, and sensor scan data being fed with lines upon lines of encrypted code in to his flight transmitter. He shifted in his chair a bit pushing down upon his stick making the craft smoothly maneuver downward. Both crafts hulls crackled with blue and white energy as they seemingly disappeared in a point with in the darkness of space towards their destination. What they would find when they reached the other side and system would hopefully allow the fleet still in federation space to mount an offensive.

---- Central Military Command 1500 Hours New Sol Sector ------
Secretary of Defense Anita Vanbruan was in her office officers where running around the massive floor bellow watching at three dimensional tactical maps of every border planet system in the union, and various offensive tactical maps. She sighed a bit as she started to read the reports of fleets moving around and personnel mobilizing from every corner of the country. It was the first time in nearly twenty years that the federation had done an offensive action and nearly two hundred since it had declared war.

She sat back on her chair folding her hands in her lap, peering up to the rooms holo projector, she started to draft messages via voice to allied military commands apprising them of the situation should they get involved. The four rally points for action against GPI where also included as coordinates. Two Defensive positions with in the union and two offensive on the border of the union ready to strike. Hopefully the allies would respond. But for now things seemed to be going smoothly with out them but then not a shot had been fired. She also ordered that New Sol be locked down with its FTLI as well as two other core worlds containing both military and industrial production capabilities all trade would be rerouted to the remaining planets. And nothing would get through.

-The male fox closed his eyes as he sat in the middle of the war room on the home world. He tried to push back the feelings of unease and fear he felt at the command he was essentially forced to take, and the ship he was essentially forced to command, a flagship, a planet killer, against the same people who destroyed his first... every one in the room looked at their fleet admiral in a sort of wonders as he sat before a map of the federal union's territory. He sighed deeply standing up before the assembly, everyone had been briefed on what they 'might' be doing in this massive undertaking. the fox opened his eyes, seeing someone who he knew was long gone, in her flight uniform, her arm freshly severed by an airlock door. he shook his head as a cheetah female spoke up-

"Admiral Maiko the briefing has to go on. We all know this is going to be known as Operation Triad. Nothing much else."

-Maiko opened his eyes and nodded at the woman.-

"Yes Captain. Operation Triad... You will command task force 'Iron' which will focus on distracting the union's armed forces while task force 'Steel' lead by Captain Nassaria." he moved his hand towards a rabbit in the assembly "Will engage them in direct battle and destroy the majority of the federal navy. This all will keep the union from task for diamond commanded by myself. Diamond will proceed directly to new earth and demand the capitulation of the federal union or destroy it directly."

The male sighed in the face of all thirteen of the furs in his general staff looking everyone over for a moment.

"Captain Una is away on the mission to exterminate the steppe empire. Though knowing her she'll want to hug each and every one before killing them."

The assembly had a quick chuckle at that before the fox went on.

"Captain Lutron. Your objective is the Trynity system."

He motioned towards the cheetah who first spoke. her appearance brightened at the thought of being 'first to the fight' as it were.

"You will bombard the system until the population surrenders or there are none left, the carriers 'Scillia' and 'Caribdis' will deploy as you do and supply themselves with fresh materials. The carriers will then remain behind as you divide your forces and circle the perimeter of the union, waiting to join task forces 'Steel' and then my forces. In that possibly absorbing a union counter attack which will undermine their forces even more when they find out what 'our' version of a carrier is."

he took a deep breath the pain in his right lung never truly abating, even after a full two years of surgeries. Though most of the time was spent there because he wouldn't take a leave of absence.

"Task force 'Steel' as I said will engage the union's main forces in battle and knock them out, leaving a clear gateway to new earth and my 'diamond' and in turn hopefully the end to Terran dominance or the end of the federal union as a nation. Due to reports from the Alvara system of what we can only surmise is the first major offensive task forces Iron and Steel will be leaving immediately to defend it and then task force steel will support iron in it's offensive. Goddess be with all of you. Dismissed."

-Trent would find a green agricultural world on the other side of the system, with only a minor trading post orbiting it. The planet Alvara was the main capitol of the system which in turn was the main agricultural center of the Naaran league. Nothing seemed to be here but sensors would soon pick up hundreds of hyperspace signatures, all GPI and all of them speeding towards the world...-

"3 ... 2 ... 1 ... JUMP!"

The Battle Fleet jumped as one, ripping through the fabric of space and forcing their way through to the other side. The stars finally settled down to their usual placidness and the Battle Fleet continued on its way.

Fleet Admiral Iosef Collins surveyed the Command Deck of his ship, the NMSS Ambassador (http://www.nswiki.net/index.php?title=NMSF_Voidkiller). at about 5.3km, it was the second largest ship in the group, (The massive carrier was larger then even the Ambassador) and was the flagship of this, the 12th Battle Fleet.

Consisting of 300 ships all told, the fleet was a mix of Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers, and the single Carrier, as well as the Ambassador herself. No Marine transports this time, that came later.

Iosef signaled to the coms officer. "Open a channel"

This is Fleet Admiral Collins of the NMSS Ambassador, flagship of the 12th Battle Fleet.
We place ourselves under the command of the Terran Federation Fifth Fleet.
Our ships are yours.

Iosef smiled slightly.

A declaration of war? Yet another morality inspired madness of the part of the collective human culture, if an enemy is perverse enough in ones view to declare war upon then they clearly need to be treated with complete disregard when it comes to vague human inspired morality.

-Oea O' Eea; Flames Of The Galaxy

Eaztz Ietz Oi' Techno-Tower, Central City Of Zraaii'- The Metropolitan Regional Association

The Octopus, that's what they called him, an individual whose contacts and links stretched across the M.R.A and through what was colliqually called the Arcadia Nebulae; a man who wrapped his probing mentality round every situation, rendering it powerless to his ambitions and desires. He managed the Infomerchants, a group, not an organisation but a group, that sold secrets, bought information, and auctioned technology and oppertunities on the black market of foreign governments and openly in the free market realms of Phale A'Theins space.

The Octopus's contacts included the top administrators of the M.R.A, it was a nessecity, they used his organisation and he in return got a superb flow of money and buissness, it was a match made in heaven, set to get even better as it had been revealed to him that the M.R.A wished to engage in a proxy war against the Realms Of The G.P.I, it was to be done in secret and to that end they employed the Infomerchants who would employ on their behalf a great array of spies, pirates and mercaneries.

Along with these more obvious contractors the Informerchants arranged and strung up a number of secondary clients. Weapons manufacturers, resource focused corporations, laboratories and other scientific institutes, all of these contacts would serve to not only further the M.R.A's goals in some vague manner that only the Octopus would fully understand but most importantly it would maximise his income.

So as he spun his web of contacts, arranging it into a manner that only his group would be able to co-ordinate and on behalf of the M.R.A set about the mechanisms for a proxy war that no one, especially the G.P.I, would be aware of.

-----

M.R.A Building, Central City Of Zraaii'- The Metropolitan Regional Association

The Chancellor Haa A' O' Iii and Premier Ooo Ahh' Hah fretted, which was not something they did often, the M.R.A was far to stable and secure for anyone to actually get worried about. The greatest concern in their minds was normally the folding of a large corporation, subsequently causing the economy to slump slightly; that was about it. War on the other hand was something different entirely.

Hidden deep withen a nubulae disregarded by the various factions of humanity during their expansion millenia ago the Phale A'Theins world was secure in a dense multi coloured smoke screen of interstellar dust, along with uncountable numbers of obscure alien races whose civilisations had descended into a calm form of anarchy; the Phale A'Theins had order and freedom, the nebulae simply had freedom, overall their situation wasn't to bad.

They had been cautious about being involved in confronting hostilities, but sometimes it seemed inevitable, they quickly learnt from surrounding alien races that humans on the whole were generally nice but seemed to have a few... issues embedded in their psycology; the Phale A'Thein psycologists had puzzed over this, but constant stories and reports of human empires waging wars of aggression were hard to ignore. The Federal Union however had been amongst one of the few realms that the M.R.A had been able to establish a comfortable footing with, their relationship had been brief, but it had been firm, they had been drawn together and the M.R.A saw a potantial ally; an ally with very big fleets.

As such, the Chancellor and Premier had decided to embark upon a proxy war against the G.P.I, and to privatly assure the Federal Union of it's intentions; with little aplomb they sent of a coded private message to the Federal Union;

To the Federal Union,

The Metropolitan-Regional Association would wish to extand the hand of assistance to your kind in light of recent events; you have been attacked unjustly and you have our veiled support. We are not in the place to engage in an open war against your foes we regret to say, but we have tactics, and economic might on our side and we intend to use it in support of you.

Espionage, piracy, covert tactics to be employed against an enemy, to target their infrastructure, feed your forces reports and information to strike out against them in a co-ordinated manner. We intend to employ these tactics against the G.P.I forces in order to halt a disruptive and dangerous enemy in their tracks. Our war will be swift, silent and secret, not even our populace for their own safety will be aware of it unless we are forced to employ our fleets, for this we ask you government to make our involvement top secret; you may however imply that we are offering economic assistance for moral purposes in your populace. We hope to contact you soon and give you reports regarding our proxy war.

All the best, The M.R.A

Trent tapped a finger on a glowing button on the control surface of his craft, sensors started recording every thing for three light years and sending them back to the fleet, He sunk back in to his chair as his cloaked ship shimmered in to space once more for a split seconds then disappearing as if nothing was there in the first place.

The two stalkers one by one slowly glided in to the system scanning every thing in site. Trent had sweat dribbling down his smooth forehead with in his flight mask, his hand firmly grasped on the control stick. Gently pushing it from side to side, the stalker gracefully responding and maneuvering from side to side in an erratic pattern. Trent always liked to control his fighter craft manually rather than relying on thought or neural interfaces. Data started to get transmitted back to the fleet almost right away.

Admiral Jamison peered out of the holoport out in to space, the vast darkness of space dotted with trillions of little flames of light. A sigh escaped his mouth as he turned over to the holo monitor live recordings being fed from trent’s ship a tactical three dimensional map was being built to supplement the existing maps adding what ever there was in the system and for light years around it on to the map. He shifted in his tight armor and stepped over to the command chair that seemingly hovered over the carpeted bridge deck. Sitting down and crossing an armored leg over the other he spoke out peering at his XO who came to his side.

“We have the data we need, The third fleet will jump in first, the fourth will jump but only half way and keep hidden with in the nebula until they are needed. All forces Red alert Battle stations We’re going to war.!”

Space was ripped open hundreds of ships flew in to crackling white and blue portals of energy, their massive forms shimmering in the light as they rumbled in to them.

The portals flared out one by one as ships entered. Several moments later hundreds of slip points crackled to life, ships started to pour out of them, hundreds upon hundreds of fighters, and many capital ships and smaller escorts two hundred and all forming a three dimensional assault wall the ships rumbled in towards the system two ships the USS Roosevelt and USS Ragen where equipped with mass accelerator devices as the wall sped towards the capital planet of the system, they started engaging the drivers that seemed to have massive spherical rounds in them. They crackled to life the surface of the balls hued with blue electrical like energy these rounds where made with pure high density metal.

The ships and fleets had dropped in about half an AU from the trading post and planet it self. Admiral Jamison stood up a serious look over his pale face, he spoke out as a channel was opened to the planet and the trading post.

“This is Admiral Jamison Of the Terran Federation Third fleet we have arrived to demand your immediate and unconditional surrender, all your military personnel will give up arms and surrender peaceably your civlians will not be harmed, any resistence will be dealt with accordingly.”

Admiral Jamison knew of the enemy fleets that where incoming and smiled, he had a plan. What that plan was. No one but him and his senior officers knew. The Long range MAD’s on the two Essex class carriers were at the ready to fire any time now. They targeted the planet. The fleet continued to move in towards the center of the system.

The fifth fleet mean while all but welcomed the new additions to the fleet, the Imperial units we’re greeted swiftly by Vice admiral Alexei Stukov, he dawned the same standard issued armor as the rest of the flag officers of the fleet. He was on-board the USS Intrepid an Essex class battle carrier. He stood in the center of the bridge looking out of the holoport towards the other command with a smile over his pale and supple face. The light beading down over his form and face.

“Greetings This is Vice Admiral Alexi Stukov of the terran Federation fifth fleet , Iosef you can call me Alexi, we are about ready to jump. Our target is an industrialized world inside enemy space. We know they have masses of reenforcements and ships crawling around so we have to be quick and lighting strike them now while the third and forth engage them at another system, we will require about one hundred of your ships to stay in reserve in case we fall in to an ambush so have them stay behind here we will give you the coordinates”

Over the comn his Russian accented voice could be heard echoing through the channels. He spoke out again turning to his XO saying loudly.

“All hands red alert and battle stations, set a course to tactical target and prepare all fighters for lunch!”

The fifth fleet began to jump out slip portals opening up, Hundreds of ships flew in to these crackling maws of energy with arcs of electrical like power grasping out in to the darkness of space.

----Federation sector---

Admiral Jeffery Degaul was in charge of the eighth rapid reaction fleet, the majority of the fleet was still at home 6-18 fleets all two hundred ships each.. 14-18 reserve fleets and ships called up from mothballs and storage. Jeffery looked over the massive tactical map in the center of the carpeted bridge, his blue eyes peering over the masses of sensor data from the various listing posts and SWACS ships on the borders. Little did the GPI know they where about to assault a system that had access to the best monitoring software this side of sol. Due to the proxima dragonis star base being so close and ships constantly patrolling that area. He ran a hand over his smooth chin peering at the tactical map. Nothing so far on sensors but He knew this would change at any given point with in his sphere of patrol.

An official response was tendered by the state department on an encrypted frequency

Rule through the fear of force rather than through force itself. If we use our strength wisely, we shall cow thousands of worlds with the example of a select few. These examples would need to be highly visible worlds, whose punishment would be further revealed through our control of information via the hyper media. - Governor Wilhuff Tarkin, Seswenna Sector, Eriadu, 0 ABY

the Fentoria System

It had been a Secret for many years, kept from the eyes of The Galaxy as it was built. 35,000 meters wide, it was saucer shaped, from with many weapons, such as Turbolasers, Ion Cannons, Phased polaron beam cannons, Missile Launchers, chroniton torpedo launchers and it's most powerful weapons, four Superlasers.

This was The Dreaded Hyperborian Super weapon: The Death's hand.

It seemed that GPI was now going too far, even rumors of threats against The Khanate. Well, it was time to make them Come to line, make them bow to The Hyperborians.

Time to take over.

The Giant battle Station soon jumped into Slipstream, heading for The GPI's Homeworld it self.

-Naara, GPI capital-

Kireas was examining a datapad in her study on how many new forces were awaiting orders. She sighed at how the initiative did things. It wasn't like they had to wait for her every breath to do anything even though that's how she made it sound in her speech to the legate council. She sat on her favorite chair facing her favorite table in her palace. An older looking rabbit on the other side of a viewscreen watched her intently as she reviewed the data.

"Another million marines? And fifteen million planetary assault forces standing by... And the 'Way bringers' are speeding towards the area awaiting permission to join. That's another seven million fighting men... Goddess... I never thought I'd get 'this' much in the first few days of this. I could have 'flattened' the imperials with this... Several times over."

The elder rabbit beamed at the skunk's awe, like a noble smiling at a country bumpkin.

"After you made that speech legionaries from every house in the second realm begged me to sign up. I wish you called a crusadis though. Then the entire initiative would have to share the wealth and send military support."

the skunk smirked at her elder then bowed in her chair.

"Then we'd have to feed them all mother. Thank you. Though..."

The rabbit answered kireas question for her as even a million light years away she could hear some of the skunkette's thoughts though the lifeless screen.

"We sold twenty trillion tons of marble last year, tassidus sold fourty five trillion tons of glass and general goods. We have more than enough to cover the mere thirty one million and counting a week to keep your little war going. Besides after your little takeover we can cover the entire planet in marble. that would be a sight to see wouldn't it. Like sigma II in the second realm. Even the grass there is a type of synthetic marble. And people will need glass won't they?"

Kireas nodded brightening up now.

"They will though they won't have the money to pay you since they'll all be in reeducation camps. Or not. Maybe bash them over the head steal their money and then take them to the camps..."

The elder chuckled with her 'daughter in law'. Kireas doubtful parentage always lead to her calling Lasta's mother 'mother' instead of Brenna. Though the rabbit didn't mind she never minded anything the skunk did since this was her second chance at a successful child.

"Maybe. Or maybe you could make them sign all their valuables over to you under no conditions then you could kill them or send them away 'and' get everything they have."

The datapad beeped for a moment as the skunk looked at the thing only seeing one scentence. #Admirals Jonas and Marrius have arrived.#

"-sigh- I have to go hold hands mother... Thank you for all your support and I do promise you victory as I promised the whole of the initiative victory."

Brenna chuckled softly at the reply.

"You don't need to convince me dear. You've already riled everyone up with you, now all you need is to actually 'do' what you said you were going to."

The skunkette stood up as the viewscreen went silent, on her way to the main war-room she felt a sudden chill in the air. She stopped upon feeling something tingling in the back of her mind. She knew someone was there, someone was trying to read her thoughts, someone she didn't want inside.

"You're very good psychic but you know better than to assault me that way. Speak."

The male mouse behind kireas knelt down as was custom, having grown long flowing red hair to hide his eyes.

"My lady. I come to tell you, the trap you set long ago is still in place. Though it seems it will catch new flies aside imperial ones. Whispers of a dual headed hydra abound, the pretender union is whispered to be just that. Pretend in all things. But whispers can be just that. Whispers in the sea of secrets that are trader's minds."

Kireas smirked turning around to see the smallish topless creature before her, being somewhat revolted at the glowing purple armband he sported on his right arm. She hated the fact that 'they', 'The body' had joined though she had no choice. She needed a more delicate hand to protect her from others.

"I cannot help my parantage my lady. I am sorry I kneel before you in apology but you must know what I know. About the dual headed hydra. One head speaks peace and an end to any fighting, the other intends a bite where one is not looking while the prey is distracted."

The skunkette smirked at the psychic.

"This hydra was rather loud while I was speaking out against our enemy... Make sure the trap is set, ready, and irresistable to this hydra. Fire is the only sure way to kill them you know. Otherwise you may be facing a dozen heads by the time you get tired of chopping them off."

"yes my lady... I will inform the mind. Your servant shall speak for me next we meet."

With that the male was gone in an instant, no contrived puff of smoke or flash of light, just the blink of an eye and he vanished replaced only by a feral mouse creature.

-Outside the Griios system-

Captain Una hated the task she had ahead, she had the forces to do what she was asked, she had the power to do what was asked she just had something against it. Even with her force of a thousand ships including some flagships and even more support and 'conquest' ships it simply didn't feel right doing this. Though there would be a different reason it didn't feel right also, the fleet stopped as soon as it caught wind of that massive... thing. headed towards their space. They activated their gravity generators feeding the things with massive influxes of energy to stop the steppe empire's plan in it's tracks.

-In the Alvara system-

Captain Lutron arrived or started to arrive in the system just as the planetary governor was telling the union admiral to go fuck himself. She grinned as wide a grin as her new 'replacement' jaw would allow. She walked around the bride of the 'Scylla' being pulled by it's two dozen tug vessels.

"Well we shouldn't dissappoint should we? All... fighters... attack. Hold off on the frigates though. we need to see how they respond."

the message was broadcast thought the entire starbase sized vessel, it had to be, there was no way the thousands of 'controllers' could be on the bridge and even if they were they couldn't hear their 'captain' with all the other information buzzing in their ears and they were the heart of the 'swarm'.

As the union vessels approached thousands upon thousands of tiny contacts would appear on their scanners. This was the only 'automated' function the initiative had, thousands of little bees in a carrier hive ready to simply overwhelm their target, if anything then they would make a dust cloud so hard to see out of that their enemies couldn't fire. The rest of task force 'Iron' slowly but surely formed up to defend the besieged world. task forces steel and diamond were as of yet no where to be sensed or seen as of yet...

Sadly, it was to late for the GPI, The Death's Hand Commander, Moff Ramaliansyu, a Vixenian, was planning a test of The Battle Station, a test that would send a Message to anyone who dared defied The Khanate.

"From what we know, the GPI's FTLi Field is good against Hyperdrive and Warp Drive, seems they do not know of Slipstream Drive yet." general Tor'pak, a Minotaur, said, :In Short, anything they do will be useless against this station." "Good," Ramaliansyu said, "I have decided on a target to test this station on" She soon pointed on The HoloMap. "This System is known as The Griios system, it is close to The Hyperborian Boarder and would be a good target to test" The others nodded.

Griios system

The GPI would be surprised as the Giant Statin dropped out of Slipstream Drive. Ramaliansyu smiled as she thought of The conquest that The Hyperborian Khanate would do after They had put fear in these Up-starts.

The Death's Hand waited for the enemy to move.

One 'minute out from Alvara

The space opposite the Federal forces had been empty, the planet below blotting out any sign of the Terran fleet and completing the illusion of tranquility. The illusion was broken rather jarringly, however, with the arrival of the Second Fleet.

There was no flash of light, no burst of tell-tale radiation. The pitch-black eggs of the Otagian formation simply existed, gently nudging the stellar medium aside and settling down as if they had always been there, swarms of green-glowing attendant drones dancing gracefully through the void between them.

In the midst of the pack of vessels, Sobek basked in the radiance of the world below, feeling the planet's aura warming the skin of his shields. His drones darted about, gobbling up the radiation to digest and interpret. A portion of Sobek's mind poured over the collected data, rapidly deciphering the local language and culture, the civilian networks an open book to his all-seeing eyes. Detached, he noted the Terran ultimatum as it passed, followed quickly by the Initiative response. He cared little of either.

A microsecond after it had arrived, the fleet began to move. Sobek's armada accelerated quickly, reaching a sizeable percentage of C in a matter of seconds. The vessels were preceded by their massive swarm of drones, millions of their emerald-rimmed singularities forming an impenetrable wall before the Otagian fleet, broken only to let a volley of coilgun fire past. The massive shells glided just below the speed of light, preceded by a message that would reach the planet just before them. Broadcast across the spectrum, it would overwhelm any other communication as it splashed across the planet below and peel the paint from anything in orbit.

I am the ONV Sokar. You have failed to heed the Terrans' warning. You will heed mine. You will surrender your world and its vessels now, or perish in fire. You will issue your reply within ten seconds. Then the purge will begin.

"Well?"

"Well, Commander, it seems that this is a war of rather large proportions, at least for those concerned anyway," The Wolf replied steadily. He was looking at a datapad, holding all the information that the Mulutu-Class vessel, the Milurahu had been able to gather in it's short time in this Realm. It was true that their ignorance of politics and galactic geography made most of the information pretty vague, but it did not step enthusiasm and the Starreans were very enthusiastic indeed.

The wolf who had spoken was taller then the Commander, his six foot four inches outmatching the Commander by two inches. His fur was a luxurious black colour that seemed to catch the shine of the ship's white light and reflex it back out with even more magnitude. The parts not covered in armour anyway. His information had been gathered over four days of extensive examining of alien communications, their snooping unstoppable thanks to the technology from another Universe that was monitoring them. Of course, thanks to code and language barriers, most of the information they collected was useless anyway. It would take months of painful observation to really get a grasp of what was happening. The Wolf looked back to his pad, an electronic device filled with new and exciting information,

"It seems that one race known as the Initiative has declared war, or had war declared upon it we're not sure yet, by this other race known as the Fedral Union..."

"...Fedral Union? Not the Federal Union?"

"...well, that's how they've spelt it in their dispatches and I think they know how to spell their own name no?"

"Alright, alright, what started this war then?"

"Something about a planet being blown up or blowing up or being stolen...it's pretty vague."

"Evidently. What are troop numbers like?"

"Hmmm," A quick pause as the Blue Wolf looked through the Data. His Commander, a slimmer, smaller Wolf with greyish fur and black hair, sat in his chair and rested his chin in his hands, waiting for the information he would need.

"It seems that the Fedral Union has the bulk of the support Sir. A lot of races are coming to support it against this Initiative."

"Not a popular lot then."

"Seems not Sir, no. Oh wait!" The Blue Wolf had scrolled through the text in front of him and found a reference that they actually recognised, "The Khanate"

"Pardon?" The Commander furrowed his eyebrows, "The what?"

"The Khanate! One of our ships reported engaging them almost as soon as they had left the portal."

"Who?"

"Uhhhh," Another quick flick, "The Lelutehu, Sir, under CoOS Franc."

"There's a surprise," The Commander rolled his eyes, "You've done well so far Second. Keep an eye on developments and see how this war matures. It will provide much data on how this Realm conducts it's military affairs. Where are we now?"

"Let me check Commander," The Wolf left the room, exiting through the hatch-like door before returning a few moments later, "Alvara, Sir. Though it seems there is already a fleet here."

"Beaten to it, where we?" The Commander seemed amused, "Who is this lot then?"

"Don't know yet Sir. Never seen them, never heard of them. I think they're trying to force the surrender of the colony though."

"Truly? Well then," The Commander smiled and settled his furry chin back into his paw-like hands, "Our timing has been impeccable. We shall monitor this battle and see how it pans out. Continue monitoring as you were Second."

"Yes, Commander," The Wolf bowed and hurriedly left the room and it's sole Occupant to think hard on his next course of action.

So the Starrean ship hovered at the edge of the system, safely in cloaked mode, waiting to see what would happen in the system. They were the Observers, here to watch only.

Official Communiqué
Office of the President

To all involved parties,

It is saddening to see that no attempts have been made to come to a diplomatic resolution to this issue and, bafflingly, a state of war has been declared. Where the blame lies for this is no longer important, all that is important is that peace must prevail before further lives are lost.

For the last time, the Federation offers itself up as neutral ground and mediators in an effort to stem the violence before it escalates further. No parties involved have anything to lose by attempting a diplomatic solution, but there is so much to gain. We cannot continue to stand by and do nothing, and urge both the Union, the Initiative and the Khanate to dispatch diplomats as soon as possible. The Federation will guarantee your safety for the duration of your stay in our borders. As incentive, agreeing to attend peace talks will bring with it the promise of Federation humanitarian aid to all parties with casualties.

This offer will not be made again, for we cannot help those who will not help themselves. The Federation urges all parties to make the right choice today, lest they regret their actions tomorrow when all that remains are smoking planets littered with the corpses of the innocent. Good luck to you all.

Sincerely,

Robert McKinley

official statement from the imperial palace, kitsune empire of xiscapia
from the desk of ambassador vorn,

to: the terran federation

to whom it may concern,

the kitsune empire humbly requests proof that the entity known as realms under gpi did indeed declare an unprovoked war upon the nation known as the federal union. Such evidence would come in the form of the official message itself, and all gpi-union relations immediatly prior, and may be sent along this frequency when it is assembled.

Many thanks

to the realms under gpi:

while we sympathize with your plight, we cannot aid you directly against the terran federation or her allies. We can, however, offer medical assistance, supplies, weapons and non-combat personnel to help you. Additionally, the imperial intelligence department has noted there is a khanate force moving into your space; with the permission of realms under gpi officials, the kitsune empire would like to dispatch a task force to rid you of these barbarians, and assist in any non-combat related tasks that may be required.

Secure Communique To The Federal Union

We can discuss the bursary expenditure for this war once it has been resolved in our collective alliances favour, for now the M.R.A is happy to fund the endeavours; focus your credits on the direct war effort for the good of all.

We would however appreciate, on behalf of the organisations we are contracting, information regarding the G.P.I, most importantly it has been requested that we ask you to inform us of the names of their systems of residence and what role they play, I.E, industrial, residential, military ect. Our contracted parties will engage in information gathering themselves and relay it to you but any preknown knowledge would be appreciated.

With best intentions, The M.R.A

-----

G.P.I Space Border, System Designation 0865

An angular vessel, reminiscent of a somewhat trampled and stretched bat, slowly entered real space at the edge of a known G.P.I system which they had little, if no, information on. Unlike most forms of FTL travel which invariably involved throwing out vasts noticable amounts of energy as vessels tore their way in and out of diemensions, the Phale A'Thein's transport of choice, developed by another race, were Immersion fields. By gradually "immersing" the vessel into and out of real space and sub-space it was not only a more comfortable ride but didn't produce supernova like flares of energy; thus it was perfect for reconnasiance work.

This particular vessel, the Veiled Intentions, belonged to an Arcadia spy group that had been contracted by the Infomerchants; it entered the G.P.I system slowly, cathcing any transmissions and running passive silent scans. It was hoped tha they would identify the main settlement of the system and see how built up it was as well as any defences. With this it drifted inwards, hidden, but silently gathering information.

-----

G.P.I Space Border, System Designation 0867

Across the reaches of space a similar vessel also silently infiltrated the outer reaches of another G.P.I system, this ship, the Cloak And Dagger Granny, too ran silent scans on the system, identify it's name and picking out any interesting features as well as how built up it was.

-----

OOC: Essentially with these two recon craft G.P.I if you could simply tell me their names, a rough guess of the forces present at the time, what type of infrastructure the planet is (industrial, colony, military, resedential ect) it would more or less cover what i'm after. Thank you!

The Hyperborians soon decided to try to make peace with the GPI, to cut a deal that would keep the GPI from even thinking of attacking The Khanate.

The GPI would have freedom of movement for a while, but they would not land on any Hyperborian world nor even stay in Hyperborian Space for long. Also, they were to agree to The Khanate right as a Neutral in GPI's war against The Terrans.

the Alvara system-

A large grin came over Jamison’s face, he folded his armored hands behind his body, his eyes peering out of the holoport at his fleet and the allied ships now in the system, his eyes picked up the glints of weapons fire echoing through out the darkness. He raised a hand quietly and with out uttering a word had ordered the fire command ,the ships avatar under stood all to well.

The Enterprise along with the rest of the fleet opened fire, a cornucopia of colors filled the mundane unbroken darkness of space, Beams lashed out from emplacements on all ships, they crackled through space lunging towards the enemy their fiery orange glow slashing like a hell fire from an angry god , they where promptly followed by streams upon streams of white blue pulses. Kinetic batteries opened up a few nano seconds later, One could only see the blue hue of sphere shaped objects rushing towards the enemy capital ships. Fifty Federation star ships had broken formation Two Ares class Destroyer followed by an Essex battle carrier and the rest of that formation focused fire upon the massive starbase. Beams of energy crackled out over the planet, pulses and spheres streaked towards the base.

Two galaxy class ships flanked an Ares destroyer as they maneuvered to fire their SKV’s, simple seemingly ordinary canisters flew out of the ships tubes they had a hue of yellow behind them as they streaked in to the center of the enemy drone swarms.

The canisters Imploded each one of them forming a crackling darkness that lasted for only a few moments but would suck every thing in the vicinity inside , arcs of black energy lunged out from the singularities as EM and radiation disruptions became more powerful before they would flare out. SKV after SKV was lunched bu the ships streams of them starting to explode in the path of oncoming drones. The fleets fire intensified as torpedoes where added to the mix thousands upon thousands started screeching out from tubes along every ship in the fleet, high yield anti matter warheads pulsated to life as they lunged towards the enemy fleet a stream of orange and blue behind them. Multiple beams shot out from each emitter on each ship filling the sky with even more intense fire than ever before.

Over the planet and under Otagian protection several massive 16 kilometer Habakkuk class freighters entered real space, slip points crackling and flaring out behind them with the incandescent glow of blue and white and the arcs of several discharges. These transports carried thousands Of federation troops and equipment they did not come in alone, two galaxy class ships and over 120 fighter craft followed them escorting them to form up with the Otagian fleet.

Trent Placed one hand on a holographic throttle control and his other on the control stick, he motioned forward on the throttle, as his SA-43 responded gracefully and quickly. The craft sped in to formation with the Thunder- Gryphon Squadron from the enterprise. He started to call out command as he pulled on his stick the craft jerking in response and rusing off to one side.

“This is Alpha leader, to Alpha wing, form up on my tail, we’re going to take these bastard’s out, all guns hot, missiles at the ready, the rest of you pick your targets and fire at will!”

Alpha wing sped forward, the roar of thier twin retro drives echoing through the cock pits, the sweat dripping down each pilots forehead , their hands stiffly on their controls. The twin streams of white hot particles from each fighter crisscrossed and inter changed as they began erratic maneuver. Trent looked over and watched that the other squadron from other ships had already began engaging the targets. Pulse fire glinted and streamed out in the distance towards oncoming enemy forces, Trent smiled and placed his finger over the fire control button on his stick, a chuckle almost escaped his mouth as he pressed the button down. His wing cannons lit up, white pulses of energy tore through space thousands upon thousands of pulses per second rushed out of the cannons, his wing mates fired as well as they crisscrossed positions again and again letting bursts of pulse fire tare through space towards the nearest enemy drone formation. The throttle of each fighter was on full burn. He kept his other hand on the throttle control as soon as they got in adequate range he would cut the engine burn. He pressed again and again on the pulse cannon fire button, streams of white hot energy crackled through space once more.

Admiral Jamison Sighed as he peered at his fleet, the glow of fire lighting up the bridge through the holo port, noises of energy beams discharging torpedoes screeching and canons crackling to life echoed through the bridge. He looked over to his XO who was sitting on one of the side stations moving her hands around the holo screen. He spoke out an order in a soft voice, a sadistic smile over his pale soft face his eyes blank and deep as if it was hard to tell what he was thinking.

“Engage ECM, and ECCM suites”

The Xo nodded responding in haste to his order, her hands smoothly moved down the holographic interface environment as she engaged the fleets Electronic counter measures and counter counter measure suites. Enemy guidance would be impaired as gravatic counter measure suites and conventional countermeasures activated , ships crackled to light with even more energy as they started to jam guidance and communications leaving Federation and allied channels and guidance with out impairment.

The USS Roosevelt and USS Ragen where closing in on the planet already in formation with the Otagian fleet having to turn around to accomplish this , they held their massive c fractional pay loads 160,000 km away from the planet ready to assist their allies in leveling the planet should troops fail to capture it. This was war alright. It was nasty bloody but it was necessary this was a fight for freedom and to rid the galaxy of the pure evil that hadn’t existed for centuries.

-The Naara System-

Kireas was carefully mulling over reports of reinforcements as she saw what was happening around Naara and the rest of the colonies. While four massive carriers had been brought in from the realm beyond the gate and were being positioned to defend the home world, the first reports of enemy troop strength were filtering in. She was starting to think she didn’t have a chance of success, not by a long shot even as reinforcements were streaming in by the minute though there was something else. Something worse than a possible enemy invasion, and it wouldn’t be denied, everyone moved aside when it and it’s slaves, or more appropriately ‘handlers’ stormed the governor’s palace moving aside everyone until it got right to governor Kireas office as she reviewed the reinforcement reports. Kireas looked on the pale slender nose of this force of destruction, growling softly as she saw the last thing she expected to see.

“Why legate Cassandra… Hello there. Come to inspect the troops? To see how Makio’s ‘Triad’ is turning out?”

The rabbit legate giggled brightly at that, shaking her head. Her tone sounding more childlike than anything, her fur pale and sickly as sickly as it had ever been.

“No. I want your job. Give it to me.”

Kireas lifted an eyebrow shaking her head. She thought there was something wrong with the air in the room.

“I’m sorry?”

The rabbit became somewhat annoyed, one of her handlers brandishing a plasma pistol. Normally she’d call for a guard who would cut these fools to pieces but she couldn’t do anything about this. She sighed softly not putting her hands up.

“Oh. So you want me to resign…”

The rabbit nodded happily bouncing in a sort of childish glee. Something wasn’t right here. The Cassandra she knew would have just sat back and watched the fighting and not lifted a finger to help if the governor of the realm was getting wiped out. This woman, this girl in front of her was different, so she had little choice… She had little desire to fight this.

“Very well… May I make one last speech to my men in the field before fighting becomes too intense?”

The bunny seemed to think about this for a second before announcing.

“Will you mention pink bunnies? I’m not going to let you if you don’t mention those cute little things!”

One of the handlers motioned for Kireas to simply nod and agree.

“O… Of course. They are important. Indeed…”

The skunkette slipped away from her desk slowly to get the proper papers. She felt a great wrong was being committed here but of course a great wrong begotten by another great wrong. Still she had little choice in the matter. The truth was she was glad to resign in some respects, it would give her a chance to think of other things than the conquest of this realm and her own personal hatred of the federal union.

The speech was transmitted as follows without a video accompanying it.

#My dear, brave soldiers, craftsmen, citizens. I am afraid this is my final message to you as governor of this realm. Legate Cassandra Vi’al has taken my place for the safety and security of the Naaran league. I am confident that she will lead in a manner that grants us all victory and prosperity in the coming days ahead. I am sad to leave you all at such a critical moment in our history but I remind you all that you are all bound by mother’s love and in that love one has a responsibility to follow whomever she deems worthy of leadership.

I was deemed fit but now I am not. I wish all of you the best in all your future endeavors and I hope that one day I might be blessed enough to lead you all once more. May our mother goddess love wrap you all in a shield against the coming tide.

Kireas Eunoch#

The rabbit of course was livid as there was no mention or sight of the purple dandelions she requested but she was soon calmed by her prized jackal slaves. Kireas went in her mate’s bedroom with the rabbit inside was sitting at the head of the bed, a bottle of brandy in hand, the rabbit sighed softly shaking her head.

“You know… I’m glad. I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad it’s over. I’m glad we’re done too because I’m not going with you. I can’t. I’m not some trophy to mount on your wall. That’s what I feel like!”

The rabbit takes a swig of her liquor her breath already smelling like she’d consumed a good clip of the stuff.

“I feel like I’m just your ‘trophy cock’ that you show off to all your friends! Everyone that you know, just because you can. Where’s my power? Where’s my distinction? Where’s my glory? Where’s my group of followers?”

The bunny took another swig sighing softly pressing a finger to Kireas mouth when she saw her about to say something. She wasn’t going to say anything now really, she didn’t need to they were indeed done as partners. They had to be, things were going south for a long, long time.

“Don’t say anything… I know about you and Una. Sweet little Una. Sweet impressionable little Una… All of what you like minus the male bits you don’t… Well the cock you want to show to all your little friends. Get out. Go to your wife if you can drag her from your little mission. Go to your mother. She’s not mine. Hasn’t been for a while.”

Kireas did leave feeling somewhat liberated. It seemed like they would last forever but they couldn’t get over the first decade and a half of marriage. Everything was falling apart. Absolutely everything.

-Near the Steppe – Union neutral zone-

Captain una stopped the fleet when the transmission came… That was it. She was leaving, the prophet was leaving. She couldn’t go on, this was impossible without the prophet to tell her what was right. This war would be a slaughter without her, how could this have happened? No. She wouldn’t continue, she rose up and stood in the middle of her flagship.

“This attack will fail. Everything will fail now. There is no reason to bring peace to this part of the galaxy… I give up. Good luck to you all.”

With that she departed towards the flagship cargo bays to transfer to what would be later known as ‘the great mutiny’ Of the thousand ships that stood near the border, two hundred fifty were returning to Naara or at least Initiative space at top speed. Noting that their treaty with the steppe empire had not been broken since they had never left their space, therefore the ‘one time’ pass through the territory technically covered them until they reached friendly territory.

The rest of the fleet sped towards liberty fortress in the hopes of attacking the fortified position before it could become fully aware of their presence.

-The Alvara system-

120 Union fighter craft were almost like dots of salt in a pepper storm compared to their foes. A thousand fifty fighter craft engaged the fighter group at range with fifteen hundred breaking off to engage the main battle fleet. The cheetah sighed softly at the rest of the battlefield though.

“They just keep coming.”

She remarked with a sigh, shaking her head trying to drown out a sudden soft buzzing in her ears. A buzzing she heard whenever she mentioned the evil place that made her ever so ugly. Not that she was ugly, in fact she was attractive by general standards but in her own mind her image was hideous.

“The desert… Just like the desert…”

She shook her head. Everything was fine. She was as far away from that old desert as she could be. She was fine, she was perfectly fine. Yes. Everything was fine. Though the message from the capital would prove just the opposite and then there was another message broadcast throughout the fleet. The vulpine admiral broadcast from his flagship revealing itself to be stopped in the middle of circumventing the Alvara system altogether.

#Soldiers of the initiative.

I am afraid I have little choice but to join the mass desertion in light of this travesty and the refusal to see reason. Kireas Eunoch is a grand governor, a good friend, and above all a soldier of the initiative. A soldier who knows exactly what will happen in a fight like this. Though the legate does not know, she does not care; she has openly sacrificed the lives of her soldiers and servants for her entertainment. I will not be sacrificed exclusively for her pleasure. Therefore I resign, though my final orders are to defend Alvara to the last or until relieved. That is all. Good luck.#

There were really no more words then, with the desert in her mind and her savior gone, Captain Lutron left the bridge of her vessel had a custom piloted fighter manufactured and headed for Naara, most of her staff following her. In truth only a few stayed on the bridge as the swarm was descending up on the union and her allies alike, lighting up the sky with millions of little bits of plasma as they focused on their target the automated drones ramming into the shields and vessel itself as the carrier’s massive manufacturing facilities produced ever more of the strike craft to be launched from it’s equally massive storage bays.

In the hour after the speech, over a million initiative soldiers turned from their posts and went to the safety of the realm beyond. In truth it signaled what all this was leading up to… Expedition number 137 was a failure.

Collins nodded to the bridge, signaling that all was ready. Linked together, the 12th Battle Fleet jumped as one, entering the system just as the Federation ships arrived. Collins gave the one word command. "Fire"

Each and every one of the ships in the fleet fired as one, firing their primary weapon, the MAC cannon. The massive slugs ripped out of the ships at 30% the speed of light, capable of breaking entire ships in 2. Fighters roared off their respective warships, the Nova class Supercarrier launching 1700 fighters alone. Missiles and torpedoes streaked out into the fray, and here and there bright plasma beams capable of glassing planets.

The Empire had entered the warzone.

The Alvara system

Jamison looked out of the holoport his eyes fixating on the incoming enemy fire and drone ships he called out orders looking back to his xo, a glint of fire in his eyes he said loudly.

“Launch all fighters tell the fleet to spam SKV’s and activate point defenses . Keep firing on the enemy capital ships”

The Federation fleet continued to lay fire down, beams slashed and crackled through the darkness of space towards enemy formations. Thousands upon thousands of beams missiles and rounds priced the quite usually mundane night sky with fiery trails of color, the hulls of the federation ships particularly the enterprise lit up with the after glow of weapons fire. Albany class ships flanked galaxy class medium cruisers and manticora class frigates as they all began their runs, beams , pulses, torpedoes , and projectiles poured out of the galaxy class ships, they all streamed towards enemy vessels. SKV tubes lit up as canisters lunged forth streaming towards mass formations of enemy drones.

Trent pulled the control stick back to his gut as his fighter bursted though the cloud of enemy formations, streams of white hot particles fading off to the distance as his fighter started to strafe, doing a 360 degree turn in the matter of nano seconds. His wing-men followed suite, their fighters and turned around gracefully. Trent pressed down on the cannon controls unleashing thousands of white hit pulses that ripped through the darkness of space. His entire squadron followed suit thousands of these pulse steams lit up the mundane darkness crackling with fiery precision though space. His Sensor warning receiver began to beep loudly in his helmet, he looked at the hud that popped up in his helmet, cursing under his breath he jerked his fighter out of chasing the drones and started to bark out orders.

“We have bogies I repeat we have bogies, all fighters brake an engage, vector five one three nine, alpha wing, beta wing and charlie wing, fire at will!”

Trent grunted a bit as he put the throttle to full , the engines roaring inside of his cock pit as his SA-43 stalker streaked toward strait in to the enemy formation of fighters. He pressed down on his missile fire control. The rest of the wing did the same, hundreds upon hundreds of high speed missiles flew from the under wings of the stalkers, streaking with white and blue particle streams behind them, guiding to their targets. The fleet had deployed hundreds upon hundreds of additional fighters.

Major Hawk Thompson was leading dragon squadron in a formation of SA-42 Star fury’s he started to grin inside of his helmet. He had a plan to get the drop on those fighters. He started to call out orders though the QE com’s.

“All right lets tactical jump on those fighters, relay this plan to the other squadrons. I want four wings to jump in gun range while us and another four will jump in missile range and fire every thing we have, one will jump in behind the other from the top. We will form a three dimensional wall and funnel them to the only direction they can go Down strait in to our point defenses.”

He grinned at the plan he had, it was almost ingenious but it was standard knowledge for federation pilots to have. He flicked the holographic button blinking FTL drive, hundreds upon hundreds of small slip points engulfed the fighter , behind the enemy formation and above it they re formed spiting them out. Guns crackled to life thousands of fiery bolts of energy fire streamed and streaked through space towards the enemy forces from behind. From the top missiles filled space as they streaked towards the enemy at high speeds their own particle streams fading as they guided like death sentences to the enemy fighter craft.

Trent pulled and heaved the control stick of his craft as he turned to guns, he saw various federation fighters take hits and explode in a fury of flaming metal and fiery death, these explosions ripped through the squadron. How ever only a few of the fighters managed to get destroyed some where damaged. Others their shields had held. Trent’s shields crackled to life as hits of enemy fire rippled on them, he began evasive maneuvers to counter them.

All the federation fighters began to strafe in wild directions guidance and lock on systems still keeping locks on enemy craft as the stalkers and star furies maneuvered at high speeds around crisscrossing each others path instances before they fired. They rushed at high speed in to the enemy fighters ranks strafing and doing 360 turns on a time firing their weapons in full fury.

The ones that where destroyed gently drifted away smoking heaps of flaming metal. The ones that had any left.. Some escape pods where floating amongst the debris, Trent had wondered what went through his comrades head before they faced the blackness of utter death, nothingness.

The remaining fighter craft had maneuvered to protect the capital ships, they avoided the tens of thousands of pulses, anti matter flechette rounds and beams that filled the night sky nearly making it un inhabitable by even them. Each flechette had yields of several sticks of TNT at once some of the anti matter used to convert the head of the flechette in to plasma before striking the enemy, Beams and pulses crackled and slice through space with flaming trails.

Over the planet the freighters began to deploy. The 102nd drop pod infantry would be first the 990th Chicken Hawks would be the air support for their operation, sporting SA-42 Star furies, and SA-43 Stalkers. The fighters began to streak in to the planet hundreds of them. The galaxy class in orbit lit up with crackling energy as it fired modified torpedoes to knock out the planets power grid. Dozens of Torpedoes screeched forth through space towards the planet, passing by the entering fighters. The SA-42's ailerons deployed as they started to enter the atmosphere. The fighters began to pour out cylindrical pods , they barreled towards the planet using thrusters and mini gravatic projectors to stay together and level their decent , thousands upon thousands of pods filled the sky ready to open as they barreled towards the planet.

The zone:

The Federation Steppe natural zone by any standards was highly secure. Ships would be stopped at the border by incredibly powerful FTLi fields that interlocked each had a range of four parsecs. And made a chain along the steppe federation border. The devices needed a sun to power them and they where highly effective at stopping FTL. The 8th fleet was monitoring the border as outpost and system went on alert. Liberty fortress was defended by the 13th fleet, it was equipped with mine fields, drone ships FTLI’s Long range cannon, automated singularity missiles , and modified chronosian warpcannons.

(Ooc: what system is the fifth fleet attacking we targeted a separate one than The Alvara system)

The fifth fleet:

As the Imperial Forces moved forth the fifth fleet came in behind guns blazing targeting any thing they could, fighters flanking the fleet ships. The Intrepid her self fired in multiple directions, hundreds of beams pulses Cfrac rounds filled the night sky as they went forth, fiery crackling streams of disruptor beams slashed through the darkness from every ship in the fleet, missiles and torpedoes screeched at near light speed guiding.

Their high yield anti matter warheads armed and ready to explode. SKV’s where no stranger to this battle field either imploding warheads streaked behind the torpedoes like the minions of the devil .

in the avaran system

Without warning gravitic sensors would ping across the system as over 900 ships appeared with bright blue flashes both above and below the orbital plane of the system. Instantly afterwards thousands of sensor drones deployed across the two fleets, over quadrupling their apparent size on sensors. The fleets carriers releasing hundreds of fighter and corvette class ships, only adding to the sensor noise as the cerberus and destiny class ships began to lock onto targets closest to the planet. The one Pegasis class above, with two flanking ragnarok class superdreadnoughts, below three more superdreadnoughts, each leading a fleet of 450 ships.

the two fleets were composed of hundreds of capital ships and support vessels. A broadwave communication went out to all nations present. The man was dressed in the standard RTMR officers uniform, slightly gray hair and a worn face. Something you'd expect to see in a commanding officer

"This is fleet admiral Gregori of the Red Talons Mercenary Republic. Cease hostilities immediatly or else we will be forced to open fire, we do not wish to see innocent blood spilled in an unfair fight."

The decoy drones continued to move out as if the fleet was spreading to encircle the attacking forces in a massive sphere. The Talons ships moving in unison to either side of the attacking fleet, keeping their bows pointed at the enemy ships. a group of drones staying behind to keep up the appearance that the fleet had stayed both above and below, where they had originally warped in.

Alvara System

On the far edge of the Alvara system seemingly unaffected by any FTLi Field that may or may have been in force a small probe jumps into the system, neither particularly noticeable nor particularly stealthy the probe passively detects numerous star ships in the system using passive sensors before activating it's small sub light drives and heading towards the center of the system.

The Probe wasn't broadcasting any IDENT information but it was making it's way in roughly the direction of the Red Talon Fleet.

Admiral Marcus Alexi looked at the system report, the battle had just started he sat back and sighed as he saw the Red Talons fleet jump in, demanding cessions to hostilities. He mumbled under his breath and stood up from his chair, he was on the USS Endeavor it was an Essex class battle carrier. He waved his hand to the AI and said.

“Engage slip drives tell the fleet go jump, arm weapons put us and three other battle carriers and task forces point blank range to that red talons flag ship, arm main guns and fire every thing we have at it as soon as we jump the rest of the fleet can engage the other ship. These bastard’s are going down.”

With this order over two hundred slip points bursted open ripping through space each ship jumping in to the crackling portal. Mean while Admiral Jamison had opened a channel to the red talon fleet he stood before them with a glint of rage in his eyes.

“The Federation will not tolerate your betrayal, supporting a genocidal raging imperialistic power
such as GPI. So we will show you what we do to betraying allies .. Oh and I forgot See you in hell you F**king bastards.”

The Comn was cut just as 200 Federation war ships entered the system. The Endeavor, the hornet, the wasp and the saratoga their several galaxy class escorts, Albany class frigates and hundreds upon hundreds of fighters had jumped point blank range next to the enemy flag ship. Crackling fiery energy beams thousands of pulses, balls of quark matter and thousands of torpedoes screeched though space all focused on the red talons flag ship. The rest of the 200 ship fleet began engaging the enemy advancing in an assault wall pattern.

The Endeavor her self was firing every thing it had including its SKV’s at the enemy flag ship fighters formed up and sped towards the enemy squadrons with erratic maneuvers .

Major John Martinez was the leader of the VFQ-291 Lancers, he was flying an SA-43 Stalker. He like Trent and Hawk loved the feel of physically controlling the fighters movements rather than using mental processes, his deep brown eyes peered out of the cock pit as his squadron came up behind several enemy fighters. He called out orders barking them loudly as he broke formation.

“Alpha Wing attack at will, Vector five nine three eight, pick your targets and check your six”

As soon as a lock on was confirmed John pressed the control stick missile fire button. Streaks of blue particle streams flew out from under the wing of the Stalker as missile after missile sped towards the enemy, thousands upon thousands of them from all the fighters in the area.

The capital ships mean while had already started to shift point defense fire against the smaller red talons ships. Anti matter Flechette Round streaked with an incandescent glow of blue infront of them. Thousands of pulses and beams filled the night sky, SKV tubes and anti matter torpedoes Screeched at high speed with trails of yellowish fire and particles behind them.

The three dimensional assault wall had opened up every thing it had against the red talon fleet, Main guns of the Endeavor Roared to life as huge grazing disruptor beams lunged out in a fiery stream, these beams would be able to render holes or massive gashes. The dreadnoughts had all by now been engaged by both galaxy class medium cruisers, one or two Essex class battle carriers each , and multiple smaller ships from various ranges. The rest of the wall constrained fire on the other ship, the area was saturated with so much energy by this time, thousands of teratons of fire power where pouring out of the wall in a constant stream.

As the ship exited at point blank range to what they thought was the flagship, the decoy drone detonated with a massive antimatter explosion, having detected the slipstream portal opening within its blast range. Hundreds of other drones detonated in the same manner. On board the Pegasis class command carrier, the fleet admiral grit his teeth, seeing the flashes of the slipstream portals and the purple flashes of the drones self destructing. "New contacts coming in, recieving message."

There was a pause as the message played, the admiral sighed, drawing the black crystal katana at his hip. "This is Admiral Gregori to all ships, fire at will, i repeat, fire at will."

An instant later hundreds of gravitic drivers discharged, sending their payload at .8+C, gravitic gattling drivers along the pegasis class aswell as the 50 cerberus class ships droned, strafing across enemy formations at 5000 rounds per minute. The other capital ships released multikill class torpedoes, followed by anti-ship torpedoes. The two ragnarok class ships flanking the pegasis class targeted the larger enemy capital ships with their own gravitic driver turrets. Thousands of sliver cannons droned in the vaccume of space, targeting fighters and torpedoes with hails of high frac-C flachette.

The trailing edges of the second fleet were cought by the reinforcements. A number of frigates and destroyers being destroyed or crippled.

The Garbage man's probe happened to get targeted by a sliver cannon belonging to a frigate in the picket line, having been deemed non-friendly.

The Ragnarok, grouped with the other half of the fleet which was moving up around the battle, as the Pegasis class and its fleet moved paralell to it on the other side of the battle. Catching any ships between in a deadly crossfire spray of high frac-C shells ranging from cluster sprays to mac-trucks.

The multikill torpedoes burst once a sufficient number of targets were in range, each one deploying hundreds of pop can sized micro missiles, each armed with an antimatter warhead.

The Endeavor was rocked by the blast its shields cackled to life as the shock wave and explosions ripped through space, several frigates, fighters and two Destroyers where desegregated, flaming bits of hull spread through out space, Alexei stood firm on the bridge, even as his ship rocked, sparks flew from several junctions as the explosions hit the shields. He started to bark out orders once more looking over to the avatar.

“I want half the fleet to get in the center of enemy formations and fire every thing we have, the other half can support us with torpedoes and SKV fire”

his voice was stern and un yielding, he adjusted his uniform as the ship shook from the enemy ire once more. Mean while the rest of the fleet was absorbing the enemy fire at will, their shields being struck and glowing with an incandescent blue spherical glow around the ships. The Endeavor, the wasp, and the hornet along with their escorts beggan targeting the other large capital ships, they where followed by over 20 other captain ships and 100 escorts, Albany class frigates streaked by, multiple emitters firing dual disruptor beams and conversion pulses and anti matter torpedoes at any ship they could target. The Battle carriers, Destroyers and fighters with in the fleet had started to fire all weapon banks, hundreds of pulses crackled through space , beams burned a fiery hellish trail through the darkness, balls of quark matter, torpedoes screeched in to space.

Alexi started to bark orders to the fleet once more through the comn system, as his fleet began to pour in to the center of the enemy formation.

“All ships full borad side, salvo fire, all ships not with in the enemy formation are to surround them top bottom back and front,, lets chew them up.”

With that order, the entirety of the fleet both inside and out side the enemy flanks began pouring out fire in salvo after salvo beams pulses torpedoes and thousands of rounds poured out one after the other out of both sides of the cruisers , and larger ships space crackled to life as hellish streams of burning death lunged forth lighting up the graceful rough hulled cruisers and federation ships. Thousands upon thousands of high yield torpedo’s flew out activating blink displacer’s they started to pop at random vectors before guiding towards their target at close range in real space . This step was repeated outside of the enemy formations, beams lanced through space lighting it up with an orange fiery glow.

The ships reverberated with the sound of energy weapon discharges. Several galaxy class ships and two cruisers broke off from the third fleet, they headed towards the enemy formation starting to lunge torpedoes, and SKV’s at the enemy formation.

Massive Anti matter mines with gravatic charges where beamed in-front of the slow turning enemy capital ships by the galaxy classes and ships with in the enemy formation. SA-42 Dragon furies launched streams upon streams of missiles, their main pulsed chain cannon firing thousands upon thousands of high yield pulse rounds per second at enemy frigates and corvettes.

The sky was filled with fire, death, destruction, the federation had been betrayed, and the ones who did it will regret it. Martinez had by now switched to guns, his fighter strafed and turned 360 on a dime , thousands of white hot pulses crackled and streaked through the night sky as he locked on to an enemy fighter, his stalker strafing, from side to side up and down in an erratic pattern.

The Garbage man's probe happened to get targeted by a sliver cannon belonging to a frigate in the picket line, having been deemed non-friendly.

The probe was still a fair way out from the RTMC about 8 light minutes (or approx 2 AU) until it basically stoped, not that there really is a stop in space but it ceased getting closer and more started to do a slight orbit around the system's star(s)

Being so far the probe had no problem avoiding the silver beam, and after it passed a small red light started blinking. After monitoring communications, analysing flow of data the probe had heuristically determined one of the ships in the Red Talon fleet to be the commanding ship.

It started to broadcast a very narrow beam transmission to it's determined target.

A video containing a small man in a uniform, "To the commander of the Red Talon Mercenary Republic Expedition to the Alvara Sustem. I am an Employee of The Garbage Men, we have a small number of ships in a relatively nearby system and we would like to offer a branch of reconciliation between our respective organisations. We have a history between our organisations but we are willing to move past this and off the fleet here in the Alvara system access to our mobile DryDocks, medical and re-supply facilities. Please acquire the probe and it will provide with details."

He smiled before seemingly remembering something... "Oh, and this is a recorded message."

The screen went blank as the probe just stopped broadcasting the red light flicked off and the system powered down waiting to be retrieved.

-The Alvara system-

For every drone the alliance destroyed there were dozens, even hundreds to take it’s place, the next batch of drone fighter beginning to launch from the both carrier bays. That was the true horror of fighting the ‘Carrier’ it was essentially a semi mobile shipyard which just happened to be armed with the most advanced form of initiative gravity generation technology, the gravity well and heavy anti ship cannons. The Gravity generators remained off during the marine landings since the remaining commanders wanted the enemy marines on planet. They did this because the cities weren’t filled with harmless civilians as the marines might have expected but furs, chemically strengthened and brought down to a nearly feral state. They weren’t armed; at least the majority of them weren’t armed since the majority of them weren’t intelligent enough to use complex weapons. As the last of the marine vessels entered the gravity fields of the Scylla and caribdis linked up to create a gravity well that would literally crush any attempt at shelling the planet with torpedo or mass driver weapons. Lasers would be horribly off course but they might, just might strike the planet’s surface.

The furs in and around the now burning cities, towns, and other structures waited in the great plains that once served as the planet’s agricultural fields. They hid and waited for the landings, waited for their chance for blood since that’s all they wanted now. The blood of those that wished to invade that is what they now lived for and would live for until they eventually died. None of them were told that their life span had been cut short, if not by an alliance projectile then by the lack of a cure for the dose they’ve been given. Normally the civilian unrest form of rage juice was to last three weeks at the most in order to give the initiative military time to retake the world. Their doses were hastily organized to last a full year since the initiative didn’t know whether or not it would retake Alvara or if it was to become a ball of glass and fire.

The response to the egg fleet’s demand aside an armada of small vessels spitting fire and hatred at them was silence. Mostly because the planet’s communications arrays were being destroyed out of sheer hatered for metal objects and because there was really no one capable of answering them back.

-The Griios System-

Desperate evacuations were taking place in the system, just like the Alvara system only there were no defenses in this system. No carriers or any other forces moving in, simply the orange surface of the planet’s limited atmosphere would defend against the shells that could reach the world. The evactuation procedure was the same, the exact same, right down to the poisoned rage chemichal that would lead the population to start tearing apart their own civilization rather than let it fall to the enemy.

-The Illian System-

The union’s vessels would find a small system with a white dwarf for a sun, there was still much trade here, still many vessels for the opportunistic raider to plunder from seemingly undefended trading posts lined up at various points. Commerce didn’t stop for war after all…

-The Mullon System-

With the Griios system under siege this was arguably the industrial heartland of the GPI, though nothing was coming out of it, nothing was coming out of the sole two red planets as they basked in the yellow light of their star both of which seemed to be mining valuable resources needed to continue the trading and war efforts.

-Near Liberty Fortress-

The moronic commander now in charge of the task force didn’t care that he stopped nearly a system away from his destination but merely pressed on, pressed on to attack his objective without question or divergence. He we wouldn’t even set a proper formation but simply charge in hoping that he had indeed somehow followed Captain Una’s plan and surprised the enemy who would be somewhat unprepared for an assault here.

Admiral Jamison smiled his eyes filled with passion and flame as he peered out of the holographic window catching the eye of a frigate or two being destroyed. He gripped the holo console in-front of him as he leaned against it sighing. He called out as he saw the large carrier ship deploy more drones.

“ Cruiser wings one through four target with your escorts that large carrier ship, I am ordering the use of alpha strike , I repeat all power to broadside hit every side of that thing!”

He chuckled to him-self a bit the battle was going good so far, he said to the AI and XO at the same time, as he tapped a few bottons on the holo graphic interface in front of him.

“Open a frequency to all ships I want this song played. Blast it.”

The music began to echo throughout the fleet, the bridge and halls of the enterprise where filled with its passionate tones, as enemy fire bounced off of the shield grid, crackling burst of energy rippling through the bubble shaped shield causing an aura of colors to shimmer across it. This color was only enhanced by the fact that fiery beams of disruptor fire slashed every witch way through out space, the darkness was filled with thousands of beams burning through the night sky. The Enterprise was Silhouetted amongst the colorful burning display, its own weapons banks firing salvo after salvo slashing through the mundane other wise blackness of space with orange beams, blue pulses, green projectiles and yellow warp flares of the torpedoes. Four cruisers along with several medium cruisers destroyers and escorts had tactical jumped behind above and to the sides of the large carrier, hundreds of crackling beams lanced forth from them. Filling the sky even more, fiery brim stone and death rained from the federation ships. energy reverberated through space as massive amounts of fire power poured from the federation ships. Jamison smiled, his eyes filling with a glint of insanity almost as he peered out to this display. The Music roared out thunderously through the comns of every ship in the fleet.

Trent and Hawk Both watched as several of their squadron mates exploded before their eyes, explosions ripping through the fighter craft as their shields failed. This only increased their passion and lust for enemy death. They both pressed down upon the missile and pulse fire bottons, unleashing fury after fury of crackling white pulses streams of missiles as their fighters strafed and turned with in the enemy drone formation. Hundreds upon hundreds more federation fighters began pouncing on the enemy with the same fury, weapons blazed engines roared out, energy crackled missiles screeched in to the darkness towards the mundane forms of enemy ships. Sweat Dribbled down their foreheads, never had they seen combat like this even in the steppe wars. Their eyes narrowed upon their targets their souls burning with the might and fury of the entire federation, their fighters gracefully maneuvered to avoid their own fleets point defense systems that where also blazing with fiery death.

— Fifth fleet—
The Fifth sent out a message as its massive presence rumbled towards the center of the system, the intrepid called out Alexi’s voice echoing through the comns.

“This Is Vice Admiral Alexi Stukov of the Terran Federation Fifth fleet, this system is being annexed by the terran federation, we will not impeade your trade so long as you do not supply resources to your former nation, you have sixty seconds to comply with stand down orders or our forces will begin beaming and dropping on to your worlds by force, they either come in shooting or come in with orders to secure our new holdings, your choice.”

A smug smile went over his face as the ships glided in gently, they surely had the fire power to back it up, hundreds of ships many capital vessels, hundreds upon hundreds of fighters filling the ranks. The Intrepid her self was getting ready to fire her main guns.

—Eighth fleet —

Degual smiled and said with an order through the comns, his rough hands over his lap as he sat back on his leather like command chair. The USS Decimation was is flag ship It was an utterly massive six kilometer long super dreadnought, it was one of two comssioned it was flanked by the USS Nimitz and the USS Ranger both Enterprise class battle ships. The rest of the fleet was made up of destroyers, frigates, corvettes, and medium cruisers, as well as fighter craft.

“Jump!”

He barked out with a passion, suddenly over head of the enemy fleet at the system they had been stopped at by the FTLi Hundreds of slip points opened. Crackling portals of energy with arcing bolts of lighting like discharges grasping out in to space as if lost souls where trying to come back from the dead. No warning no dialog was exchanged, every ship fired as soon as they got out of the portal, hundreds of beams , torpedoes, pulses, SKV’s and Quark rounds Exploded from the massive banks of the ships, Hundreds upon hundreds of heavy disruptor beams and pulses blazed a trail through the darkness of space towards the enemy fleet, from the Domination, Faster than light particle cannons discharged slowly but surely arcing out at 2.5 x the speed of light, the hue of blue from them filled the sky as the super heavy mounts crackled to life. Hundreds of rounds flew out lunging at every target the guns could find. Fighters flanked and strafed starting to target what ever smaller craft there where.

Admiral Deugal was pleased, his fleet had now pounced on the enemy and his guns where firing with a fury, the might of the federation was seen with in his super dreadnaught, multiple SKV rounds screeching forth towards the enemy as the Ultrawave particle beams discharged every several moments. He sighed, wondering how it had come to this, but he knew it was probably inevitable in some way with the nature of the federation and GPI’s government.

His eyes filled with passion as he saw the fiery lances of his fleets weapon fire scratch through the darkness of space. Of course he had seen this before in the steppe wars, but not as large.. The Steppe fleet had folded easily, this seemed to be a bit different, but defiant nonetheless he motioned for every one to press on the attack... Only time would tell what the end of this war would bring.

Alvara:

As soon as the gravity well was detected, drop pods stopped falling from the freighters, and now beaming had started. On the surface of the world thousands upon thousands of pods crashed clustered in an area, with no time between landing the 102nd Drop pod Screaming eagles flew out of their pods. Sporting M12A2 Dual barreled automatic Disruptor rifles. Major Adrian Kawolasky was the leader of the entire unit. He stood on the field where his men had landed, and started to bark out orders.

“All-right men, I just got word more drop pods are a no go thanks to a grav field we should
expect beaming of alpha support to start shortly. Keep frosty a - ” He was cut off by one of the psionic super solders assigned to his company.

“Sir.. This place... Im sensing ... anger.. Blood lust.. This wont be easy. Almost no sentient thought left.”

Adrian raised an eyebrow with in his suit and asked.

“What the hell are you on about mike?”

The Psion responded.

“Im saying these aren’t even people any more.. Or it doesn’t seem like it every one is out to get us I can sense it the civilians.. The solders.. The sick.”

Adrian shook his head and sighed...

“That’s normal- “

“You don’t understand”

The Psion said nearly bursting out and then continued.

“No one here is friendly to our cause they are rabid I can sense that..”

Adrian then said as he motioned the bulkier Psionic marine over.

“What do you suggest we do?”

The large suit was one of the most advanced powered armor the federation had, it was equipped with telekinetic shield generators, conventional shields. Layered armor, Telekinetic weapons, and wrist mounted disruptors and grande launcher. It was only rivaled by the temporal battle armor dawned by the Black jacks..

Mike responded to Adrian.

“Sir I suggest we gas them... it will be humane that way..”

Adrian growled in his own suit and then sighed once more.

“What? Mike Jackson are you suggesting genocide-”

“No... Im suggesting euthanasia”.. He said with a distorted voice.

Adrian nodded, and said “I’ll send the order up”

Behind him several massive tank sized tripod like units materialized, these where the auto wars, the V1 medium auto war was the class being transported down . Adrian smiled as the collective sensors of the powered suits and over the horizon sensors picked up contacts, he motioned is troops over as he rushed towards some tall grass cover, he pressed a button on the suit of his the others doing the same. They shimmered in to nothingness as if they where never their , the Auto wars began to walk towards the unit as well, the rumbles of their steppes reverberated around the plains, echoing out. Their massive forms powered up and ready to go. Adrian only had one group. The rest of the 102nd had company and platoon sized units on the ground to, spread through various areas but all in the same theater of operation. Auto wars and M4 Sherman Tanks where filling the ranks of the armored support for them. Triton class medium HERC’s stood on their four legs as they materialized by the auto wars. The armored elements formed up in to companies and platoons as well supported by the infantry in a wedge formation, Adrian’s group was to secure this area, and cover the flanks with their stealthy presence. SA43 stalkers and SA42 dragon furies roared over head trails of white hot particles fading in the atmosphere. Vampire class gun ships hovered miles away over head scanning for threats and ready to pounce, their massive armaments a mach for any ground force in the area.

Adrian and his team waited, he saw as his brothers in arms began to pour in to hovering IFV’s and Mechanized infantry tracked units, hundreds of them pouring in to hundreds of IFV’s. General Darian was in charge of the landing operations he called out on the D comns.

“All mechanized units loose formation and start advancing on a village. Ghost units follow behind. I don’t want to get caught off guard. Nerve gas pods will be equipped on the next batch of supplies and units we send down so be ready General Darian out.”

The Auto wars began to move once more towards the contacts, their sentient AI’s chattering amongst themselves.

Autowar 1 : “How dreary this planet is..”

Autowar 2 “Yeah couldn’t they have at least cleaned up the place before we got here?”

Autowar 3 “I don’t think they had time. They should have imported some of our zeppelins to help them..”

Autowar 1 “Like they would have done much.. This place isn’t that nice looking to start with”

Autowar 3 “Bah quite you!”

The conversation went on and on, the tracked units, tanks HERC’s and hover units began following the auto wars in a loose wedge assault formation, trails of smoke and dust where kicked up by the tracked units, while the hover units sped ahead. Gun ships flew over head flanked by fighters streaking through the clouds.

Mobile artillery units trailed behind slowly their huge tracks crushing any thing under them...

What would come next would be a shock to all of their moralities.

The Federal distress signal to the Wanderjarian fleet had been pinging for hours before a battlefleet was routed to handle it. Having taken hours to prepare the unit to deploy, they finally had assembled all deckhands to their stations, and were awaiting the final bell signaling impending warp drive activation. Under the command of Admiral Michael Falkner, the 176th Assault Fleet immediately homed in on the beacon and readied itself for the warp. They would be in the Alavara system within twenty minutes.

In the Command and Control Room, the Admiral in charge of the fleet looked on curiously at the jump coordinates. "I wonder what trouble the Federals have gotten into this time," he wondered aloud, earning a few light hearted grins from the rest of the command staff. Captain William Halford, Commanding Officer of the KMS Wrath, an Emperor Class Battleship, nodded to the Admiral.

"Right sir. If you are quite ready?"

"Absolutely Captain. Proceed."

"Excellent," he nodded almost into a bow, "Set a course for heading 2-2-3, jump us to Alavara." With that, the fleet activated their warp drives and were on the way. The 176th Assault Fleet was immense. Over fifty Emperor Class and Retribution Class Battleships, thirty Avenger Class Grand Cruisers, eighty Gothic Class Cruisers, and sixty Dictator Class Cruisers. The Federal Navy was in luck, as the Wanderjarian Navy made habit of keeping large battlefleets on standby at any given time. Within twelve hours they had been able to deploy all of this to the Federal units effectively.

Soon thereafter, the first Wanderjarian ships arrived on the Federal ship's flanks. Admiral Falkner activated his Communications screen and tapped into the Federal Flag Ship's communications array.

"We're here as you requested, friends. What can we do for you?"

The Admiral looked confused until he looked at the tactical display in the center of his C&C room. From there he saw a real time display of the drama occurring around him, complete with miniature versions of the TFU as well as "Red Talon" fleets attacking each other. He nodded, and went to the Communications Officer.

"We're going to need to begin repositioning the fleet to cross to the enemy's left. Fire a volley of Nova Cannons first to get their attention. Lance guns at them while we're moving so that they'll be forced to reposition to compensate for us being here, and then we wait for the 293rd Fleet to warp in. They'll be a little bit, about ten minutes, but if we can hold on out for that then they'll move in and cross the right and we'll pincer them in. Then we'll drive through and end this. Got it?" The communications officer relayed the orders to all the ships crews, who immediately followed suit in carrying out those orders.

Nova Cannons, massive guns focused on the prow of the ship so that the engines can compensate for their enormous recoil, exploded sending their devastating munition towards the enemy ships at speeds approaching that of light. Immediately before reaching the enemy ships, the munition would implode, creating a disruption which would break the back of any ships within the significant blast radius. There would be havoc, confusion, and death, many of the things which the Imperial Wanderjarian Fleet are very adept at. Using this momentary break, the Wanderjarians would continue pop shotting away at the Red Talon ships, all the while repositioning. All they needed to do was allow the TFU and Wanderjarian 2nd Wave Assault Fleet to arrive...

Open Communique

From: Section 13 Federation Intelligence agency.
To: The C’tan , To whom it may concern

Dear Sir/Mam, as you have probably seen in the latest news, the Terran Federation has engaged in an invasion against the GPI due to a declaration of war they tendered. Whilst you are most-likely wondering why we are bothering with such things, we have received disturbing reports from the ground. Our forces have discovered odd happenings on the planets, the population is not themselves we believe their own government may be responsible how ever we are not sure, only scattered reports of non sentient behavior from previously sentient beings under the influence of something. In short we do not know if this is spiritual in nature or mearly a result of some thing introduced in to them. The coordnaites will provided in this mail if you choose to come. Currently our forces are to engaged to assist the planets civilian life, and a neutral party such as your selves might prove helpful in this manner.

Sincerely:
Director:

The admiral frowned. he could see that he was going to take heavy losses if this battle lasted any longer. "Have all ships prime P-drives, reposition us on the far side of the system, that should buy us some time to figure out what the hell is going on here..."

"Sir, message recieved from an unknown drone. It looks like they're offering to help." called up the comm officer from the tier below. The admiral nodded "track its location, when we jump i want one of the frigates to snag it just before"

There was a frantic call from the tactical officer "Skipper missiles incoming, point defense guns are having difficulty locking their targets." There was a bright purple flash and the bridge shook "Sir, multiple direct hits on the Alendri, her cores just went critical" The admiral waved his hand. "whats our losses so far leutennant?" There was a pause "Looks like the majority of our losses so far are frigates and destroyers. we've lost 10 destroyers and 27 frigates, nine cruisers, six missile cruisers, two battleships, one carrier, and three dreadnoughts." There was murmuring around the bridge for a moment before the admiral responded. "This is a pointless fight, all ships, jump on my mark." the admiral raised his free hand into the air.

Admiral gregori had his hand raised halfway as he saw the flashes of the Terran fleet striking into the other half of his fleet. "Prepare for tactical jump in T minus 20 seconds" He called out.

There was a call from the nav officer as over 200 more ships warped in on the flanks of the terran forces, "New contacts, not terran, but definately hostile, BRACE FOR JUMP"

The bridge was filled with blinding blue-purple light, through the viewscreens could be seen a strange place, almost like he inside of a red nebula, then, as fast as it had happened, they were back. The entirety of the fleet vanished in bright blue flashes an instant before the new fleets volley could connect.

Sensors would read massive gravity and magnetic distortions from every ship that had jumped, masking their readings from the far side of the planet due to the instant nature of the Philadelphia drives.

"Damage report! the admiral called." Sitting back in his chair, katana resting on his lap. one of the tactical officers called back after a moments pause.

"all ships reporting minor t moderate damage, reports are still filtering in on the details. It looks like the frigate Blue-Destiny got the probe, they're pulling its info now."

next was the engineering officer two tiers down, "we took a good hit along our port keel, and bay three is inside out. we've lost life support along the lower decks but were getting it back.

The admiral nodded, "Engage ECM and deploy sentinals, have damage control start repairs, inform fleet command of our losses and have them send a frigate with a diplomatic party to the probes coordinates before our arrival."

On the other side of the system, the decoy drones continued to dance, giving off readings of a fleet in combat.

The great mind of Xolotl was the central hub for most official communications reaching the Necrontyr empire. The core of a gas giant, it was a single vast computer that monitored, along with a few cousins, communications of every race in contact with the C’tan. It received countless messages, from citizens and foreigners alike, every day, and dutifully analyzed them.

This one took it a fraction of a second to mull over. It could send one of the vast and imposing ships of the navy, but that would be too provocative – a frightened combatant could easily be confused and do something they would regret. The same went for any number of allied nations.

Civillian vessels were out, as a matter of course, simply because it was a war-zone, which dealt with most of the nation’s considerable array of disaster relief operations vehicles.

That left the various covert operations, quasi-sovereign, forces that the C’tan had set up.

The foremost of these were the Venturers, but they had a problem too, from what it knew of the conflict (which was almost everything that there was to know) those crusaders would not remain neutral for long. While their zeal was commendable, for one in its position, it was inconvenient.

Then it alighted upon another group. They even had a fleet in the right area. The mind of Xolotl altered the message, and forwarded it.
____

Archmagos Veneratus Vadun noticed almost at once as the message was received, and placed into the vessel’s noosphere. The vessel in question was called Triumph Technics, and like all of its kind, it was heavily upgraded. Once, it had been essentially a standard Dictator class cruiser, bosting torpedos, weapons batteries and carrier decks. Then, the Mechanicus had taken its derelict hulk, and converted it to their own standards; it had gained a lance battery, and its damaged macro-cannons had been replaced with lineguns, photon thrusters and conversion pulsars. These advanced weapons gave it a greater punch at direct firing range, but changing its engine to mass ratios and making it considerably less maneuverable than others of its class. Equipped with rare melta torpedos, virus bombs, torpedo bombers, mines, orbital scanners and an entire company of infantry, this six kilometer long vessel was one of the largest and most powerful the Cult Mechanicus could muster.

And right now, this vessel, and its escorts, with their hundreds of skitarii, their bristling cargo of death, and most importantly, their crew, were headed to the Alvara system. Because, despite such military might, the vessel was not a warship, in the mind of its commander. It was a ship of the Cult Mechanicus – those who sought after knowledge.

On board, Vadun prepared an information update for the entire crew, who took it in within seconds.

Normally, the vessel contained thousands of tech-priests – technologically augmented intellectual engineers and scientists, of a dozen or more disciplines – a star-going study environment and teaching venue.

Now, they had been given a problem to deal with. Although years ago, the Mechanicus had been drawn from xenophobic groups, it was not concerned with such things now. All that mattered to it, was the discovery and usage of technology and science. A problem had been presented to Vadun – he didn’t know the scope of it yet – and just as effect followed cause, he would solve it.

Secutor-adepts of the Auxilia Myrmidon began planning, based on the little information they had how to go about operations against hostile, devolved natives, while Biologis and Psykana adepts consulted records of similar events in the past. The ship's armouries were opened, and more skitarii combat automota were produced by its workshops.

And the ship moved into hyperspeed - a severely limited version of the necrontyr equivalent, sealed off and incomprehensible - on course for Alvara.

OOC: Nope. I'm not planning to get involved in the war, unless forced to (for example, landing on this planet will prove tricky) but I've been asked to go clean up some zombies, and that is what I'll do!

The probe once inside the Talon frigate was fairly easy to figure out, almost as if it's makers had designed it show you how to take it apart. Inside the probe was a data crystal detailing the location it was about 3 Parsecs away and the were orbiting around a large gas giant with numerous moons (much similiar to Jupiter) It was the 4th and last planet in the system.

There were 2 frigate-style ships. a number of smaller Vessels with Drone to repair external damage, as well as a singular 'debris-scooper'. Primarily a transport ship, it has the ability to generate a field around it that basically pulls any debris around it through a portal into a storage bin in the rear. The transport ship would contain a whole range of things, some useful for the Red Talon fleet some not.

The Red Talons would be rather suprised when they blinked into existence. Thinking to flee the Terran forces, they were instead confronted with several hundred pitch black bubbles, each easily ten kilometers in length, hundreds of thousands of emerald dots swarming around them.

Feeling the impact of the Red Talons' radiance on his hide, Sobek became annoyed. He rolled as he and a few dozen of his larger escorts turned towards the new threat, his FTLi fields flickering on as he went. A third of the green motes changed course as well, darting into formation ahead of Sobek's clutch, their massive gravitic signatures distorting space between them.

Newcomers. You will not be leaving. Surrender now or be destroyed. You have thirty seconds.

OOC: Exact ORBAT for the Second Fleet will be up shortly in the OOC thread.

-In Orbit-

The carrier Scylla fell due to the 'MIGHTY' blasts from the federation fleet. As did all the drones felled in equally mighty and erection worthy blows from the federation. The fleet protecting alvara was split and retreated from the battle as the godly blasts from the federation struck them as well if the explosion from the carrier didn't destroy them outright. Most of the survivors disbanded and returned to the gate which they came from leaving the region nearly utterly defenseless.

-Near Fort Freedom-

The vessels never reached their destination. Rather retreating through the border to khanate lands. Most of which were destroyed by the utterly awesome power of the awe inspiring 'Death's Hand'. Teaching everyone a lesson they will never, ever forget.

-Alvara-

When the gas was launched everyone died or was disabled, there was virtually no resistance to the terran federation's 'utterly' worthy dominance in this area. Before the gas everyone was too ignorat to actually give any solid resistance to the equally awesome power of the 'auto wars' whatever that means. So. All in all. there was no resistance to the utter dominance of the alliance and everyone in the milky way knew that.

Admiral gregori growled as the mesage came through. The tactical officer, called over, "Contacts bearing in, gravity tech based ships. power buildups detected."

The admiral, stood up, "prime P-drives for the probe coordinates." The call came from the deck below, "P-drives green on all ships, jump in 10 seconds." TYHe admiral responded quickly "deploy drones in 9 seconds with a pre recorded message, "We do not wish top participate in this pointless conflict any longer, Farewell." The admiral smiled slightly as he sat back in his chair. "The navigations officer called up "Detecting FTLi interference, t minus 5 seconds to jump."

In the last seconds, gravitic and magnetic readings from the ships skyrocketed , each one deploying a single sensor drone, the ships flashed with bright purple blue light, then seemed to go silent, almost dead in space.

Alvara

Enginseer Kamorn watched with satisfaction as the Mech-Wrights opened one of the containers, his manipulator mechadendrite – a heavy clamp attached to powerful motors, lifting the top, as he inspected the contents. A type three automated weapons system, bolt-ammunition. He ran one of his limbs across the terminals of it, checking the charge of the weapon was of adequate mega-joules, and then checked the ammunition load.

Saistfied, he lowered the lid down, and allowed the apprentices to heft the box down onto the flatbed nearby.

The ground-weapons stores of the Triumph Technis were a small part of it, and he was quite content with the task. The lowest ranks of the mechanicum followed twin paths to technological understanding – the first was to understand the science technology, the path to full priesthood that he was far along the route of, and the second, was to understand its uses. Emissaries, transmechanics, lexmechanics, and other specialties existed along this other path, journeying out amongst those who had not the blessings of technology, to assess their needs, and to instruct them in its ways.

While those people were busy with their tasks, assessing what information was available – he was happy to serve with the practical matter of preparing the tools that would likely be needed before long, once they landed.

A loud alarm sounded, indicating that the ship had returned to real-space. The ship’s information systems let him see what was happening, even from inside this area of it.

They had emerged from hyperspeed a short journey from the main planet, as planned. Visually, everything looked very much normal. The planet in the distance had a sizeable gravitational disturbance around it, but that was dissipating. He felt the transmission even as it was sent.
