"Our government during this time will act the same as we normally do, we will not change everything due to one asteroid that is coming". "However I am sad to say that we will be declaring a state of martial law for the time being".

"We must add aswell that 1 million citizens of Unity and Hope will be evactuated into underground shelters where they will live for a period of time until the planets surface is safe again".

News RE: Doomsday comming to our planet

After alarming news comming from the Unity and Hope. The FSSU Astronomers have been sent out of space to observ an astroid that is comming to our planet, tracking sattelites have been activated, after investigations, the reports have shown that there are no such astroids heading into our galaxy and to our orbit. It was a false alarm!!

At 01:35 Hours today at the University of Dinsmark, the existence of a 2.5km asteroid was confirmed at the Longitude of ascending node 204.466° and Argument of perihelion 126.364°. We've managed to capture a series of photos of the asteroid.

Currently, the University of Dinsmark is calulating if the asteroid will impact and if it does, where will it impact. We'll update the world when we have the information.

OOC: I thought if the asteroid does enter the earth's orbit, wouldn't the ozone layer just burn the asteriod into dust, considering the size of the asteroid, yet our NS earth is the size of Jupitor or even bigger then Jupitor?

OOC: Depends on how and where it enters the atmosphere.

If our planet was that large, gravity would be INTENSE.
So if we went on Earth, we would be a Hercules Norris.
And if someone from Earth came here, they'd be crushed flat.

The Saevitian Archipelago has observed this great threat to humanity, and has proposed that to deal with it, a ragtag band of misfits be deployed via shuttle to drill large holes into the approaching asteroid and then blow it up with nuclear weapons before returning to Earth, except for one who is contractually obligated to die in a heroic sacrifice.

If that fails to help, a second, even more ragtag band may be deployed, in the worst-case scenario.

The Principality of Belkaland believes that instead of wasting valuable lives, we build a massive network of massive ETC cannons designed to fire low-yield Nuclear shells at the asteroid. With the amount of warheads in possession of the nations of the war, it should be fairly easy to assemble the stockpile that'll be needed.

The Birkanian goverment thinks that instead of building something as pointless as an railgun for non-hardkill nuclear shells instead of ferric tungsten slug is questionable at best, and that enough nuclear weaponry lauched with conventional ICBMs should take care.

<<OOC: Ozone layers don't do jack squat to asteroids. They only do stuff to UV rays. The size of the atmosphere is what affects Asteriods. *is an Astronomy nerd and a geology nerd*>>
