Fleetwide Emergency Broadcast
Attention All Starfleet ships, UHS Resilliant and Resistance have gone missing, we do not know what happened to them, all starships are to report to starbase One, where you shall form taskforce under the Command of Commadore Elizabeth Langley. We have never lost contact of two starships before, we do not know what state their in, thats why we're gathering the fleet, we've met some interesting species but also some viloent ones, whilst our pairs have proven well, Command feels a fleet is needed. Good Luck
End MESSAGE

Starbase One

The Twenty Starships that made up the main force of starfleet. The full fleet size was thirty, the remaining ten ships were either too far out or on patrol. The Twenty Valiant class ships had been sat at Starbase One for nearly 72 hours while sensor and probe data was analysed. Almost as one, the Ships powered up, blue light flared from their warp Nacceles, running lights activated and the ships began to move away from the station. Once safely away they engaged their warp engines.

OOC: Rightio, so two of my starships are missing, I don't mind whats happened to them, it's up to the offenders to decide, destroyed, captured, whatever, my ships are this:

OOC: So, the attacker can pretty much decide what the fate of the ship(s) is?

Can we (attacker) just handle one ship? It'd leave it open to more people as well as keep things interesting.

OOC: Ok, the ships got split up, Amazonian Beasts got one, and someone else can get the other, and yes the attacker has choice of fate.

The Master of Sphere 50 gazed at the viewscreen, a small saucer shape ship was shown, its engines and shields off line, its life support at minimal levels. The battle had been short but viscous, the sphere had suffered only superficial damage to its outerhull which was already healing itself of the phaser burns and the gashes caused by the torpedoes. Several holes had been cut into the unpure ships sides with a number of umbrallas contacted. Cutting into the hull had proven more difficult that first imaged and the life support systems had fallen off line 10 minutes ago.
Hurry up or there won't be anyone left to cleanse.
Patiences, we are still detecting several (dozen/hundred?) life signs.
They won't be of much use to us if they die of asphyxiation.
A slight vibration can be felt through the sphere as one of the teams finally cuts into a hallway.
See. How does it look Alpha of Batch 12?
We cut into the ceiling of the ship, there is a few signs of battle and its pretty mucky. No signs of the unpures yet.
Good link back when you have found something. Have the tanks been ready for the cleansing?
Of Course Overmind, decks 2-5 are fully manned and ready for any unpure we find that still have a pulse and a hope for cleansing.
Good.

UHS Resistance

What was left of the crew of the resistance, were held up in the Bridge. Around 30-40 of the 170 crew had been able to make their way to the Bridge. All but five injured personeel were in a defeinsive line behiind debris from the battle. Every officer was armed with both a Phaser Rifle, Hand Phaser, and due to the identidty of their attackers, a sword like weapon

The Alpha drone stalked down the hallways, leading its batch towards the largest life sign concentration, it had already directed a few of its batch to harvest any of the now dead unpure for needed resources and to scan the ship for anything of value either as integration into the collective or for its base resource value. It had noted the colored arrows that seemed to point towards different areas, they had already cut through several doors though they had only seen a few dead unpure. Bringing up the sensor data it saw that the largest life sign concentration was right above them. It signalized several of its welders ordering them to cut upward. It briefly flashed the plan through the other four members of it batch, they would set their plasma swords to a low level that should only temporary stun any unpure above, their shields had already been prepared for maximum absorption and dissipation of their weaponry...

A slight hum was heard as the welders continued their upwards climb.

"Captain!, high heat signiture below us!" A young officer reported as everyone looked around nervvously.
"Do we still have enviromental controls?" The Captain, John Horlds asked
"More or less, yes"
"Alright, fill all decks below the bridge with neurosene gas" John ordered.
"Sir, thats fatal to everyone, if theres anyone still alive down there, they'll be killed.
"Do it, thats an order"
The Officer nodded and the Neurosene gas began to fill the ships decks.

OOC: I'm assuming your ship pictured is layed out like the NX-01 Enterprise...please correct me if that's not so. IE, when I say the lowest two decks are exposed to space, I'm referring to G and F deck on the NX-01 type.

IC:

ADV Alpha Warrior's sidetrack from the main assault fleet tasked with rooting out fleeing elements of an Underground formation had seemed mundane enough - head to a nearby, unknown system that seemed a likely place for piratical rebels to flee to, and check for hyperconduits or better yet, the presence of enemy vessels. When Warrior found the idendity of a sole vessel in system, it was immediately assumed to be an Underground vessel. Though this turned out not to be the case - it was an unknown ship, with a primary saucer configuration with rear-mounted engine nacelles on a lower vane - the commander of the Warrior, a fairly sadistic Human named Tanis Val, decided to go ahead and determine whether the new arrival had seen anything of the Underground's movements either. If that took completely conquering the vessel, so be it.

As adhering to Val's personality, no attempt was made to even contact the ship, and instead with sensor jammers on full to camouflage the Warrior's approach from scanning suites, charged right at the unknown vessel. A targeting lock acquired the ship just as it entered visual range - Val preferred to let his opponents see the the dark 1.4km-long profile of the Nexu-class battleship as battle started - and plasma driver turrets immediately launched a salvo of plasma-swathed antimatter shells from onboard railguns at velocities close to the speed of light. Turbolaser quad batteries complemented the projectile fire, blasting powerful blue energy bolts at the enemy ship with deadly precision.

Return fire painted green and yellow hues across the mural of shields adorning the Warrior, protecting the hull from damage as Val continued to order a full on assault as the battleship closed with the opposing vessel. The enemy ship was a considerable size smaller than the nearly mile-long ship attacking it, and didn't seem to have near the weapons capacity of the Dominion battleship designed specifically for ship to ship combat and to eliminate enemy defensive grids surrounding planets to prepare for sieges or planetary bombardment. Phaser fire blasted the shielding of the ship, but energy dispersal clouds released as countermeasure arrays helped weaken the impact of the beams as they came in.

A swarm of positron torpedoes from the Warrior's fore-mounted missile launchers snapped the shield bank of the enemy ship, and static cannon turrets came around to fire a heavy salvo of disabling energy - negatively-charged highly ionized plasma - at the shieldless starship now confronting them. Turbolasers had already punched apart one of the engine nacelles on the vessel, preventing the ship from utilizing its maneuverability against the larger and slower Dominion battleship. The static cannons did their jobs well - as returning phaser fire and photon torpedo volleys, growing less taxing as the ship was worn down by continuous fire from the well-laden battleship, continued to assail the sturdy layered shield banks of the Warrior, the static bolts blasted into the hull and fried electrical systems. The enemy vessel was drifting within minutes, though scans showed life-support and artificial gravity systems were still active, along with basic emergency power. Lower decks had been blown open with antimatter warhead strikes, revealing the lowest decks to space and venting anything in them out into the void. Damage was extensive across the enemy vessel, though it would have still been flyable if not disabled.

A single Phantom-class insertion ship departed from the main hanger of the Warrior, escorted by a phalanx of Scavenger droid fighters in case the enemy ship had any bit of fight in it - which was quickly ascertained to be false. Val watched from the forward bridge of the Warrior as the insertion ship linked up to the lowest deck that was sealed with atmosphere inside - a full two decks along the bottom of the ship were blown open. Maneuvering up to the surface of the vessel, a small connection passage passed from the Phantom to the hull of the enemy ship. Three shaped proton charges - configured to direct their blast into and only into their bottom side, thus blasting out only the hull of the ship - were magnetically placed on the connecting hull of the opposing vessel. A short timer dwindled and the three exploded, forming a sealed connecting breach from the insertion ship right into an empty quarters unit of the enemy vessel.

A Human Commando unit of four carrying DC-23 modular weapon units and sheathed in full-body and head Combat Armor Units for protection and defense quickly boarded the ship, followed by an alien Skrawl soldier mounting a repeating turret on one arm and a static charge thrower on the other. More soldiers from the various Dominion races piled out, a total of 20 organic units - led by the four Commandos - and 24 droid units, including five Assassin droids meant for eradicating any and all targets with a plethora of weaponry. Skrawl quickly moved towards the locked door of the quarters habitat and smashed through the wall, knocking a large hole in the entire unit easily large enough for the Humans and other like-sized soldiers and droids to move through. The lead Commando, designated AC-619, released a sensor probe, the small hover unit quickly moving out to scan the area and try to pinpoint the positions of every organic on the ship as the boarding force held position.

How much longer velters.
There inner hull is nearly as strong as their outer one. A few seconds more or less and we'll be there.
Do you hear something? asked one of the welders as a low hissing sound could be heard.

Analyze
"A neurotoxin, it attacks the lower part of the brain stem, causing paralyzing and eventually death. Symptoms include..."
"Is it dangerous to us?"
"In its native form no and most engineered forms no, though the sphere of 21 did die from an advance form of this toxin, created by the Tuffs Clan, though thankfully they were able to jettison their reports which eventually made it back to other spheres and the toxin quickly lost its killing power to our kind though unprotected lifeforms are likely to die. Also your environmental suits would have protected you anyway."
The Alpha's eyes glazed over as it plugged back into the network.
We're fine, continuing drilling.
Another 2 meters and we'll be through Alpha, anyone thats right above us should be feeling a slight heat by now...

"It's not working!" The Officer reported as they began to feel heat from below
"Right, I want you to blow out all the airlocks and portholes on all decks except the Bridge" John ordered
"Yes sir"
The airlocks and other portoles were explosvly decompressed, it would suck everything not bolted down into space.

"You'd think they'd try harder." muttered the drone as he watched the last of the gases wift by.
As the pressure equalized, it lowered its magnetic feets settings and turned towards the welders.
Done yet?
Prepare your men, we are going hot in 3 2 1...

At last the welders punched through the last few centimeters of metal, partially melting a 1 meter circle in the bridge understructure through which the 5 batch members charged with their blue plasma swords trying to hit each member of the crew that still survived before moving onto another...

As soon as they came through the Crew opened fire. Withering Phaser beams firmed across the bridge, ovver and over again. Those closed defended themselves with the swords, they we'ren't just metal, thouh, they were laser type swords that allowed defense againt the Plasma swords.

The phaser rifle shots either bounced harmlessly off the Technonaut shields or being absorbed and converted into energy for the shields(and a slight kickback). A slight humming could be heard as advanced on the crew, whacking them once, causing them to collapse as their feet and arms suddenly stopped working. After a few had fallen, the Alpha ordered a retreat, dragging the stunned crew members down the hole(after making sure to secure their oxygen masks) where they bound their hands and feet in a mildly electrified cabling which every few minutes sent a small pulse to their nervous system keeping in a stupor.

Good catch Alpha.
Correct, any damage?
Three has a damaged wrist socket, one of them got a lucky shot when his shield went down for a second after whacking one of the unpures.
Well Three seems you get to drag these unpures back to the ship, we'll finish the rest of them. replied the Alpha as he gestured towards the hole...

Val was somewhat disappointed that the opposing crew had put up such a little fight - not even resistance to the boarding crew - but that was how things went. He had no intent to destroy the vessel - it was more valuable intact. The crew was especially more valuable intact - as an unknown civilization, they could be processed for further analysis on who these interlopers were. The ship would naturally have to be sent to a spacedock in Dominion space to be broken down, its components put under inspection to see if anything useful or beneficial could be gleaned from them before scrapping the ship for raw materials and introducing those into future Dominion finished products. Still, it was enough of a benefit to warrant taking the time out to take the ship in - the Dominion preferred live prey to atomized ones.

"That is...confirmed," Val commed back to the Resilience. "A localized communications jamming field has been established to prevent your word from escaping this system, and several ships will be inbound shortly to collect you and your crew and take you away for processing. Your vessel will be towed and re-purposed for Dominion use at any disposal."

Val turned as his communications officer deactivated the comm system, setting up a hyperlink to the main assault fleet.

"Admiral Tanos," Val commed in, "We have a prize awaiting."

"Confirmed commander. Two transports will be inbound along with escort as soon as a perimeter is established."

"Affirmative," Val finished, ending the comm. Tanos was on the ball and efficient, as usual.

15 ships of the fleet, having picked up the Resilliance's comm flash, had set course to the sector they managed to pin it down to. The ships dropped out of warp, shields raised and at max impulse. They began to scan for the Resilliance and any other ships.

The other 5 were still searching for the Resistance

All remaining batch members retreat back to the ship, detach the connections behind you once your batchmates are aboard and prepare for an emergency ftl jump. broadcasted the Alpha.
"No more games." voiced the drone, as it hefted one of the stun grenades, setting the setting for 3 seconds it pressed and released the grenade upwards through the hole, hearing a muffled clink as it attached itself to the deck besides the hole. It almost grinned as it thought of the stunned faces of the unpures...

As the blue stun wave dissipated, the Alpha and two other drones jumped from the hole dragging off the stun members, their energy shields glowing a sickly green as the members where dragged within. The wave had only fired their nerves but left them conscious while contact with the shield removed even that for a time. Satifised with itself the Alpha turned to jump down the hole as a 45 was heard...

The Alpha nodded to the two drones in the exit as it pushed through with its 4 unpures, they lay limp on its shoulders only a very close examination would reveal that they yet lived.

The two stepped forward and struggled 20 meters before planting the bomb in the middle of a dessert crossroads of two hallways, laying down their heavy burden as they activated the hidden powers within.

The Technonauts themselves did not fully understand the power, the object had been discovered in a desolate ship five hundreds years ago, it had taken decades but they eventually where able to reproduce nearly exact copies of it and distributed it through the spheres. It had many names, the Gerrods called it Dragon Flame, the Yetto The Reaper but the Technonaut most liked the name the Terrans had decided upon, Death, as that was the simplest and yet most intelligent explanation to its power, it destroyed both the living and the machine eliminating even the most stubborn of organics and synthetics. Destroying an individual cell's DNA, RNA and ATP causing a slow and sometimes painful death as a body could not heal or replicate but only die. The synthetics death was much easier to explain, it simply overloaded any and all circuits, electronic pathways, in extreme cases it had even eliminated the very elements that the synthetics depended on Silicon among others, shifting them to other purposes.

The two drones rushed back to the ship, while they were largely immune to the power due to the war that was fought, they still had a fear irrational may it be of it. As they entered the main spheres hold the last of the umberalls collapsed and the sphere turned and sped to a safer distance from the now twice doomed ship to better observe. While they had observed the other ship within seconds of it's dropping into realspace they sent no outward appearance of notice, choosing to ignore any hailings they had sent and likely would continue to send and waited for the golden glow that would signal the release of the power...
