The Empire of Dezania's Nuclear Program
The Empire of Dezania, a large nation of approximately 118 million people ruled by an oppressive Emperor, once a General of the former Dezanian Republic Guard, has decided to invest some funding in a Nuclear Program. For years, oil has been an important byproduct of the Arab country, but ever since the discovery of Uranium the Empire has decided to fund some research into military and energy resource. For the military, the Empire has discussed plans to produce medium-sized warheads with enriched uranium and plutonium made from uranium - not just for the country but to sell to other powerful nations. As for an energy resource, imperial officials had discuss about using Uranium as an energy resource for Dezania by constructing a couple of nuclear power plants. Those who protested against the Nuclear Program were either jailed or executed for 'conspiracy against the Empire', the majority of the Dezanian people were against it because of their views of nuclear use deemed as an unnecessary evil but the Empire didn't care, they viewed this as an opportunity to enrich the Dezanian economy. They were determined to go through with the program that they've entitled as the "Michael Project".
Siraj City, Dezania - National Convetion Centre, 12:45 PM
"As you know, our glorious Empire has discussed plans of converting Uranium as both a military byproduct and as an energy resource. This could forever replace oil as our current energy resource, by using only nuclear energy we can reserve our oil and sell double of what we currently sell to foreign nations - this will prove beneficial to the Empire." said the Dezanian Minister of Energy, he was a tall-thin man of Syrian descent but a native of Dezania.
"What about the rebels? You do realize that our Empire has been engaged in a current civil war against them. What if they someone got ahold of this 'uranium' and used it against our glorious Empire?", asked a middle aged military officer, he sat there in his seat with an uncomfortable look adjusting his hat with the national emblem.
"Preposterous, most of them are nothing more then despicable Shiites. What possible damage can those rebels cause to the Empire? Nothing that's what!", replied the Minister of Energy, rather annoyed with the discontent of the officer.
Zafar Military and Technology Base, 7:30 PM
The Michaels Project was underway, the 3rd Science Division of the Empire managed to create a medium sized nuclear war head. It's medium-based size was perfect for vehicle transportation and or by any small aircraft, the warhead was titled "DRG Thaqib-01". The Science Division was determined to test the new warhead out in the desert region but needed permission from the Empire, but if this war head's testing proved excellent then it would be up for mass production.
Shihab Desert, Dezania 4:00 AM
An Apache helicopter flew overhead, observing the baron wasteland of the Shihab Desert. Just underneath the Apache helicopter was the DRG Thaqib-01, it's target was just 500km away, an abandoned town that once sustained life in this desert region. "Launch it." said a commanding officer through the intercom of the Apache helicopter pilot's telecommunication radio. The pilot quickly got a lock on the town, he quickly fired the missile away by pressing a button on the joystick lick lever. The warhead's took off with great speed as it headed toward the town, the pilot observed the warhead's intensity as it was almost near the town itself. He quickly turned around, evacuating the area as far as possible. The missile struck the town, everything went pitch white for a second - debris followed suit. In a matter of seconds, the town was nothing more but a huge crater in the ground about the size of a football field. Should this weapon even be up for sale to any powerful nation?

Scientists scramble as fuzzy reports of a large explosion in the Middle East. Reports show a blast on an atomic scale has destroyed a small town in Dezania. for the next hour scientists scramble for the origin of whatever blew up the town, only to find that it had been the Dezanian government itself. when did they develop nuclear capability? scientist continue to dig for answers, the secretary of defense speaks to the public through television broadcasting.
"It seems that the unstable and volatile government of Dezania has come in possession or developed nuclear capability. you all know that our nation has a hard stance on nuclear weaponry, believing that the use of such power should benefit humanity instead of destroying it. We can assure you that Jacobiania will do all in its power to stop the production and marketing of WMD's produced in Dezania. Instead, we shall attempt to convince them to use nuclear technology to create energy to benefit their nation. that is all citizens of Jacobiania, try not to lose too much sleep over this issue, and have faith in your government. Good night."
It was almost a week after the first nuclear bomb test incident. The Empire mass produced approximately 5 more of the DRG Thaqib-01 warhead. They hoped to sell these warheads to powerful nations, as such celebration two of the DRG Thaqib-01 warheads were displayed in an Imperial military parade the following week in Abdul-Hafiz Square. The event was televised by national and international television programs. The Emperor of Dezania was to deliver a speech to nations of the world, some nations viewed Dezania as untrusting, and scheming but the Emperor wanted to disprove the opinions.

"Greetings nations of the world, my glorious empire, no.. the people's glorious empire under the watchful eye of Allah has produced a minimum of 5 warheads. We do not intend to use them for war but to ensure peace and remind those that try to cause a battle think about the actions they make. Our Empire's going rate is $500,000,000 (universal), that's only just for one each. Our recently started project is still underway and we hope to promise a future for our children of this grateful nation." as he finished, Abdul-Azim waved his hand to very proud, yet, cheerful crowd. The Dezanians seemed more concerned about created nuclear weapons instead of focusing on nuclear energy as they discussed during the birth of the Michael Project.
OOC: You do know how long that it took the US to create a nuclear weapon once it started the Manhattan project, correct?
Just a friendly bit of advice, you might want to slow your nuclear weapon production to something more reasonable. Either that, or buy nuclear weapons, but they cost a lot of money.
