OOC: Just FYI, but a full-sized battalion is around 1,500 men. Also, the America class can carry around a full battalion of US Marines and 30 aircraft. Just sayin' =\

ooc:550(450 was a typo) men is a standart Nachmere Bettalion. Unit sizes differ around the world. Nachmere is a small country, scratching the money for these ships will be diffecult, we cant afford a bigger ones.

The Armed Republic of Salzland currently maintains several U.S.S. Nimitz-Class aircraft carriers in long term storage/strategic reserve, and would be willing to sell three to your nation. Noting the size of your country and its defense budget, the Armed Republic would be open to negotiating a long-term, zero percent (0%) interest payment plan. Though it does not carry vehicles by default, with slight modifications (and the reduction of the carrier air wing component) a Nimitz-Class would certainly meet and exceed most, if not all of your requirements.

Your offer is extremely intresting. What price would you ask for 3 units?

The vessels in question were purchased in bulk, at a cost of roughly $3.5 Billion per ship. After a long period of use, along with the removal of sensitive materials as well as the carrier air wings, and factoring in the costs of returning the vessels to active status which would need to be paid by your nation, we believe that a cost of $1.2 Billion per ship would be fair. Again, as mentioned previously, we are open to negotiating a long-term, zero percent interest payment plan. We are also open to any counter-offer your nation may wish to submit.

We would like you to co-perate with NPS on the rebuilding of these ships. There many modifications to be made and NPS has never taken a naval contract. The Nachmere Navy will be in your debt if you help NPS. This will mean we will return to you for the rest of our naval needs(when we can get hte money out of our politicians).

Greetings, our company believes that we have the (nearly) perfect ship for you. The Tartarus Class (Carrier) (http://z13.invisionfree.com/Chazakain_Storefront/index.php?showtopic=4). It can be modified to fit the requested helicopters and VTOL crafts, it already has the requested hospital wards. It may be abit to speedy for your usages but that can be toned down, all and all we believe these ships are perfect for your purposes.
As your nation is a first time buyer, you would qualify for an immediate 10% discount and we would be more than willing to give you a 0% interest long-term loan. If any of this interests you, please reply here(this thread) or here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=570805.HTM) and let us know.
Sincerely

The Commonwealth would like to enter the bid with it's own Frigga-class (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13964813&postcount=23) light/escort carrier. Though built mainly for air operations and not amphibious operations, reduction in the air wing would make the Frigga comperable to the needs of your military.

How long will it take to return the vessels to active status?
We hesitate to present a fixed time frame, because many variables will be dependent upon factors outside our control. We suspect that it will not take longer than one year to bring all three vessels up to full operational status, especially following the large cash donation provided by Anghele. Important factors include the re-installation of military-grade radars, communications equipment, aircraft, weapons, fuel for the nuclear reactors, as well as any necessary maintenance.

Comorostan would like to sell you one of its Invincible class carriers. They can carry two companies of troops and 20 VSTOL aircraft and helicopters. We are willing to negotiate the price.

We thank all tohse who entered offers to this contract,
The offer from Salzland has won for the follwoing reasons:
1)The size of the Nimitz class makes it far easier for us to make the modifications and carry the ammount of troops we need
2)The Nimitz class is large enough to carry any air support we will ever need.
3) The price for unit is very attractive.
4) We can recieve the ships almost immidietly.
This contract is closed. The Nachmere Navy will soon require more vesseles in order to create carrier task forces, look for further contracts soon.
