IC:
Gordonopia's invasion of Delvira had began, and now it was time to knock out their navy. They had found that an island known as Armadura Island was the primary naval base of Delvira, and it was time to capture it. Delvira had a small navy based their, made up of two battleships, 3 Cruisers, 5 Destroyers, and 8 Submarines. To destroy this vessels, Gordonopia was deploying the new Fifth Fleet, as well as the 17th Marine Division to occupy it.

"Oh no! Inform the Captain of what's about to happen! We are not capable of combating this many ships," one Naval officer said in fear as he observed the incoming Gordonopian fleet from the radar. "If this continues we might have to resort surrendering."
"What?" asked a Marine officer. "Surrender we might ha-", stopping at just that the Naval officer was shot right in the head by the Marine officer. His body collapsed on the ground as blood slowly started escaping from his bullet wound. "How dare you insult my country's honor you peasant. We will fight."
The Marine officer informed the Captain incharge of the island about the incoming fleet. With a critical discussion, they had no choice but to fight back. The soldiers had no concern for surrender, it wasn't in their intention to give up.

The fleet neared was 100 miles of the island, easily within range of their carrier aircraft. The carriers received the order to launch, and they launched a total of 120 CF-1c Fighters and 20 TB-1c Bombers. The fighters would go first to soften up resistance, and the bombers would follow up with attacks starting with the battleships.
ooc: I'm assuming that you don't have any aircraft in the area, as they are all fighting salzland. If not, I'll just begin rping the attack by the planes.
The three cruisers were ordered to protect the two battle ships as they soon formed a wall formation about 45 miles infront of the Delvirian battle ships. "If they open fire, do not hesitate to - No, nevermind that if they approach any closer then open fire! We cannot afford to lose this island!", the Captain said to his regiment of troops in the area. He was not determined the lose, despite the fact that Delvira has always had a weak Air Force and Navy. Too much funding was put in the Army itself.
ooc: No aircraft here, so do your stuff.

The Fighters pulled ahead, and began heading towards the Delviran fleet. Their radar indicated that the cruisers had been placed ahead of the battleships, so that was their first target. They would come in waves of 24, each fire 2 anti ship missiles at the cruisers. They were confident that they could sink at least one, if not more, of the ships. Once the first four waves had left, the bombers, escorted by the fighters would arrive to mop up the remaining large ships.
The RADAR showed that they were only 10 miles away, and they had been ordered to fire at only 2 miles (to increase chances of a hit). They were relieved that all of Delvira's aircraft were elsewhere so they would only have to face their anti-aircraft fire.
"Sir, shall I give the order to attack?" asked a young officer. "No, if they get any closer or open fire then we shall attack. Order one of the ships to fire a warning shot." replied the Captain.
As the order was dispatched, one of the ships guarding the battle ships fired a warning shot straight ahead.
United Gordonopia
28-02-2009, 00:49
Shot hit one of the fighters, but it was only one down. The remainder continued on their path, and were within range.
"This is Squadron Leader, fire missiles."
All 23 fighters fired two missiles, for a grand total of 46 all targeting the Delviran cruisers.
After they fired their rounds, the planes headed back to their ships, and the next wave began it's run. It would only be a minute before they to fired their missiles.
ooc: now you gotta rp casualties for the first wave's missiles.
The ships tried firing the machine gun turrets at incoming missiles. Only four were shot down, but it wasn't enough. Ten missiles struck the first cruiser, destroying it's defenses instantly. The ship itself was on fire as soldiers on the ship jumped off, some were either on fire or just tried to escape the ship that would surely sink. Four missiles struck the hull, causing an explosion that would cause even more damage - the ship slowly started to sink as it was a blazed in flames. The remaining missiles struck the last two ships causing sever damage, the defense of the ships were completely damaged. Soldiers were killed in the process, some tried to escape but a few were squashed by falling debris. "Oh no.. this can't be happening, we've lost all four of our cruisers.." the Captain said feeling a bit shocked, he backed backwards a few steps just utterly shocked as to what happened. "Order the battleships to fire at will, this is our only hope" ordered the Captain to a young officer, "Yes sir!"

The next wave was nearing two miles. At only five miles away, they could still be hit by the battleships, but once in range, they would devastate them to.
"This is not good," the officer said as he observed the incoming fleet of the Gordonopian forces. "We don't have enough fire power to take on the next fleet, our battle ships along cannot take the-", the officer was shot right in the head by the Captain. His body fell to the ground as a puddle of blood started to emerge from the bullet hole. "Coward, don't underestimate the power of our glorious Nation. Order the battle ships to fire on sight!" The gun turrets of the battle ship carefully focused it's aim on the incoming fleet and fired several shots from it's cannons followed by machine gun fire.
United Gordonopia

One of the cannon shots made a lucky hit and instantly destroyed one of the planes, and shrapanel destroyed another near it. Most of the pilots dodged the other fire, but one new pilot was hit and forced to bail out, along with another whose plane was destroyed instantly.
With four of the planes down, the missile fire was reduced to 40, and the planes turned back. The missiles began their short flight to the two battleships.
10 of the missiles destroyed the cannons and most of the defense mechanisms of the first battle ship, so now it was complete useless for fighting back. 10 more missiles struck the hull of the ship, causing extensive damage as it slowly began to sink as some parts of the ship were a blaze. The second ship tried firing burst shots from it's machine gun turrets hoping to knock out a couple, they only managed to blow up 5 missiles. It was poor effort as the remaining missiles struck the ship, blowing off the bulk of the ship. The ship it self was in flames, some of the soldiers on that boat either died or drowned by falling debris as they tried escaping.
"No.. this isn't happening", the Captain was shocked. With no naval defense, the island itself was surely easy to invade.

"three leader, this is two leader. We have disabled the battleships. Begin phase 3."
"Roger that two leader."
With the battleships all but sunk, the third wave began it's course set for the destroyers. Eight of the fighters split off to attack the battleships, while the remaining 16 set course for the five destroyers still remaining. They were nearing the 5 mile mark, and it would only be a short time until they to fired their missiles.
"I have an idea, it just might work." the Captain said. He tried contacting the Gordonopians to discuss surrender, "Attention, attention, we surrender."
The Captain looked turned and looked at the soldiers in the control centre. "Men, we are not fit to fight in the sea - our only choice is to attack them if they are here on foot. This is our mission, once they are to land we will engage them in combat."

IC: "Admiral, their navy is trying to surrender."
"Hmm, tell them to send a few men, and keep our fighters at 5 miles, just in case. Also, prepare the marines in case it's just the navy, and the ground forces still want to fight."
The Delviran Captain received the orders and immediately, the Captain and four other novice officers accompanied him to the harbor. Quickly, they untied the rope securing a small civilian boat, with that all five of the soldiers hopped on board. One of the officers tried revving the boat's small engine in order for it to start and it did after several tries, their destination was the commanding ship of Gordonopia. There, they hoped to settle a "armistice". The boat would be near the ship sooner or later, it wasn't very fast but the boat had a little speed in it. "Sir, are you sure this plan will work?", asked a marine officer. "Of course, they won't suspect a thing!" replied the Captain, he and his men went unarmed and by doing that, they hoped that the Gordonopians wouldn't suspect a thing.

"Commander, a small boat is heading to our ship. Should I contact them?"
"Yes, do that."
'Attention unnamed vessel. Please state your purpose and cargo. Repeat, please state your purpose and cargo.'
The Captain looked up, placing his hand over his head to block incoming sunlight, "I am Captain Hernandez of the Armadura Naval Unit, I wish to discuss plans of surrender to avoid casualties!", he exlcaimed. "I have with me, four officers from the Naval and Marine branch. We are all unarmed, I repeat, all unarmed!"

'Message received. Please take your ship to the port side of the GSS Fosset, our flagship. A ladder shall be dropped to you, and once on board you shall be searched. You will be met by an escort who will take you to Vice-Admiral Rogers, Second-in-Command of the fleet to hear your proposal."
After hearing the order, the officers moved the ship with steady speed near the port side of the GSS Fosset. The Captain looked up, observing the massive ship itself, as soon as they got close the captain yelled out something while waving his hands in the air.

A ladder was lowered down to the small boat and a seaman yelled for the men to come up.
"Vice-Admiral, the delegates are here."
"Good, send them as soon as they are being searched."
"Aye aye."
As the ladder approached downwards, each soldier one by one climbed the ladder that led to the massive ship. Once on top they awaited to be escorted, but of course with their hands raised up in the air. "We mean no harm." said the Captain.

A squad of marines on board the ship began searching the five men.
"Please remove all metal and put it in this container."
The only actual metals that they had on their personnel were their medals, but they quickly took them off and placed them in the container. One novice officer, who forgot to unarm himself, removed the gun from inside his coat and placed it in the container as well. The Captain, rather annoyed by that stupidity, looked at the novice offer.

"Come this way" the told the men. He led them to a conference room, and told them enter, through the metal detector (just in case), where the Vice-Admiral, as well as several more junior officers were waiting.
The officers and the Captain followed and did what they were instructed, one by one they entered the room by first going through the metal detector. None had any metals of the sort, there they awaited further instructions.

"Welcome gentlemen. Please, have a seat."
The Vice-Admiral had been waiting, and wanted to hear their proposal.
The Captain took a seat while the officers stood behind up, ensuring safety for their Captain. "Yes, I'm here to discuss plans of surrender. My naval fleet proved no match for yours, I cannot allow more of my compatriots to die. What is your purpose for Armadura?" asked the Captain as crossed his arms.
United Gordonopia
02-03-2009, 00:59
"Our purpose for it is first of all, knocking out your naval capabilities. We are also going to use it as a base of supply and as a jumping off point for troops in the region. any objections?" He said with a smile.
The Captain showed a bit of hesitation to the Admiral's reply, nevertheless, he remained calm - sort of. "No, but I find it funny how you people are against invasions yet you're meddling in affairs that are not of your concern. West Delvira isn't fit without the Federation, we care about our people so why is that you people think you can do whatever it is you want?", the Captain snapped back.
United Gordonopia
02-03-2009, 01:10
"Do you really think you are in a position to call off our invasion. If we wanted to, we could destroy your entire fleet with ease. Don't forget that we still have another wave of fighters just 5 miles from your remaining ships, and we have two more waves of them, along with a wave of bombers, at the ready. This invasion is to end your unjust attack on another country, it is for the defense of others. Now, what is your proposal?"
"Cerdo de mierda...", the Captain muttered. He quickly took off his hat, observing the national emblem crest on the front it, "Take it, the island is yours. We've got nothing to hide." he finished.

He glared at the captain for his first remark, then responded to his second. "But you haven't heard our demands yet. You are to transfer all troops off the island within 6 hours, or they shall become our prisoner. You must also turn all remaining ships over to us within that same time period, as taking out your navy was our main objective. should you fail to comply with either of these, we shall resume our attack."
"Ah, but my troops have already left the island. Yes, I gave them the order to retreat before I arrived here. You have nothing to worry about.", the Captain replied quickly. "Yes, nothing to worry about at all. My soldiers are not cowards I assure you".

02-03-2009, 01:34
"You seem a little hasty with that answer. Is there anything that you haven't told me? Oh, and what about the ships. If you don't surrender them to us, we'll sink them by force."
"No, no, nothing at all - I assure you. The ships? Oh, yes, go ahead! Take them, they're al l yours! We don't need those Soviet-era ships anymore.", the Captain laughed rather nervously but tried keeping his cool.

"You're definitely hiding something. I can tell. I've spent over 40 years in the navy and I know how to spot a liar. Tell me now, or I will be forced to attack."
"No! I'm not hiding anything I swear. Look, how about this, you can search the island and if I am indeed hiding something you can exectute me. Really, I promise you I am not hiding a thing.", the Captain replied quickly. One of the officers, slowly clenched his fist staring right at the Admiral with a disgusted look.

"Do you think I'm some kind of fool, Captain? I can tell you're lying. You're sweating, you're tense, and you're nervous. If you don't tell me the truth in the next minute, I'm going to sink one of your destroyers."
"Ay, Admiral. Relax, I have nothing to hide. Why would I lie? Go ahead, sink one of my destroyers.", the Captain smirked rather weak. He looked around the room, waving his hat towards his face just to cool down. One of the officers, the very one who clenched his fist while staring at the Admiral, pointed a finger right at the man. "You fascist pig! How dare you insult our country! I'm done playing games, Captain! I can't stand this anymor!" the officer bellowed, he ran towards the Admiral and attempted to throw a punch right at him.

The admiral moved out of the way, and one of the guards in the room pinned the officer against the wall.
"Hmm, fine. I'll just go ahead and invade the island. Anyone of your soldiers still on the island will be killed on sight, and one destroyer will be sunk, if not because you are a liar, but because of your officer here. Commander, give the order, send the 18th brigade in."
"Aye aye."
On the transports carrying the 16's men, soldiers beggining to head toward the island, were they would invade and crush any remaining opposition.
"Three Leader, this is fleet command, you have the go-ahead to sink one destroyer."
"Yes sir. Follow me men."
The fighters quickly changed course, and began the short three mile journey to the two mile mark.
Angered, the Captain attempted to spit on the Admiral. "You bastard! You may have won, but we WILL win the war! You Gordonopian scum!", the Captain bellowed as he quickly stood up throwing his hat to the side. The Captain looked around and attempted to escape by dashing towards the door.

Two of the guards blocked the exit, and pointed their rifles at the captain.
"Captain, our talk isn't done. Please sit back down."
"Fire missiles!!!"
All 24 fighters launched their missiles at the Delviran destroyer closest to the group. They then proceded to turn and fly back to their carrier.
"You get that out of my face!", angered the Captain moved closer towards the guards and attempted to shove them out of the way. It seems that all this stress made him loose complete control of his actions. The destroyer suffered immediate damage as several explosions followed, the in flamed destroyer began to sink slowly into the ocean. The 2,000 soldiers stationed on Armadura noticed the destruction of the destroyer. Most of them just wanted to surrender but it seemed that was out of the option now.

”captain, sit down now.“
The guns on the big ships opened fire on the island's coast. With the 5000 men of the invading brigade less then 1/2 mile away, the battle was sure to begin soon.net
"Aargh!", screamed out several soldiers who were caught by the gunfire. Quickly, they collapsed under the debris of shattered buildings that caught damage by the ship's blast.

The beach was chaos. The brigade was landing and it was obvious the enemy was still there. 167 men were lost in the fire, but the Gordonopians were almost to the top of the slope. Once there, it would only be a matter of time before the island was taken.
"Quickly! Open fire on the enemy!", said one Sergeant incharge of the Marine unit. About 200 men rushed the slope and aimed their assault rifles straight below the Gordonopians, quickly opening fire. As the 200 soldiers were busy engaging the enemy, 17 additional soldiers joined in by throwing down grenades.

123 more men were killed from this volley, but the 5,000 man brigade couldn't be defeated by only a few hundred. They quickly made it to the top of the slope, and began eliminating the defenders.
"Fall back!", yelled the Sergeant as he began to turn the other way. His escape was futile as the middle aged man was butchered by bullets, his head took most of the damage as it quickly burst open. The remaining soldiers tried retreating but were caught by gunfire, in all there were no survivors. Mean while, about 900 soldiers that were guarding the base's lobby entrance noticed the incoming enemy troops and immediately opened fire on the incoming 5,000 Gordonopian troops.

We shall not withdraw from this nation, as we (along with several others) are defending the sovereignty of a new nation. This naval base was essential for our strategy, and it threatened our forces on the mainland.
In addition, when they offered to surrender, they lied by saying it was safe for us to go, and that their men were gone. It was obviously a trap, as all of their garrison was still on the island.
"No, no! We surrender! We surre- ARGH!" yelled out a soldier out of fear, but alas it was too late as he caught numerous gunfire wounds to the chest. There were no survivors present, nothing at all but two badly wounded soldiers who were slowly dying. Armadura Island was now under Gordonpian control, no Delvirian was left alive.
Mean while, back at the Gordonopian ship. Captain Hernandez was unaware of that his troops on the naval base were slaughtered, he chuckled a bit before telling the admiral "My troops are still stationed there and your men will perish! Don't underestimate our Federation!" the Captain finished as he boasted on about the nation and it's military.

You are NOT defending West Delvira you are attacking a sovereign nation under the excuse of defending West Delvira,if you dont withdraw your forces and return the "naval base" you have taken to the rightfull goverment your aggresion will be met with a response,by severing ALL diplomatic and economic ties between our two countries.Federal Senate is considering a direct action against the agressors.
