OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PRIME MINISTER
The Republic of Hierphil
For those in the international community who are unaware, The Republic of Hierphil has recently been thrown into turmoil. Our nation is deeply split at a comment made by our Speaker of Parliment, Lord Steven Rockwood. In summary, Mr. Rockwood along with a number of citizens and Lords from our Parliment want to crown me king of Hierphil.
Those pushing for the return of a Hierphilian monarchy claim that this would would give more power to me, thus giving me the opportunity to stablize the economy and unify the country more surely.
Those who have adopted my point of view agree that this much power in the hands of one man can appeal to my lesser nature and therefore put the whole country in jeopardy. In our view, a democracy should be maintained and all economic problems will be solved with some patience and some diplomacy.
Unfortunately, Hierphil is so split that I have been forced to call an emergency session of the Parliment. All Lords of Parliment, Ministers to the Prime Minister, Chancellors (acting heads) of each province, and the Seven High Judges are required by Hierphilian law to attend the meeting unless pardoned by myself. There, we will debate the future of Hierphil.
If you would like to attend this session and have a hand in determining the future of Hierphil, I would like to cordially invite you to attend. Or, if you are unable to attend and would like your position read before the assembled, please address your statement to my office. I have called the session for next week (ooc: this saturday RL) and unless there is a sudden emergency, the meeting will be held then.
The future of Hierphil may rest in your hands.
Kind regards,
Remus York, Prime Minister
