Official Joint Announcement of the Whitehelm Pact

Griffincrest Oil Incorporated and the Blackhelm Confederacy have been performing a series of acts of international aggression and piracy, despite signing an international treaty to stop all actions of this type. We, the undersigned, are concerned by the impact of these actions on the safety of our trade and our citizens.

We, the undersigned states, hereby give the Blackhelm Confederacy 24 hours to agree to our demands, as follows:

1.To immediately cease all piracy upon the seas.
2.To effect a break-up and nationalization of Griffincrest Oil, Incorporated.
3.To pay to the allied nations a sum of 10 trillion dollars per year over the next 14 years [2 weeks RL time]
4.To turn over to the allied nations the Griffincrest Fleet.
5. To break-up the Corporate Alliance


All Allanean support of your nation is terminated and troops are now being withdrawn. Should these demands not be agreed to within 24 hours, our nations will be at war. All undersigned members will assist with crushing the Blackhelm Confederacy with military force:

To whom it may concern:

As a seafaring nation, the Saevitian Archipelago leads a neverending battle against piracy and maritime obstruction, and is threatened by any such criminals that have the weight of a government behind them, rather than being funded solely by their own illegal activities. In addition, we are prepared to take whatever measures necessary to prevent such decriminalized privateering should it threaten to affect Saevitian shipping.

However, before we throw our support behind a pact such as this one, we must request further evidence that the so-called Blackhelm Confederacy is indeed behind these acts of terrorism and aggression, and that its continued existence is in fact a threat to Saevitian shipping, or any other vessels that regularly trade and interact with the Saevitian Archipelago. Otherwise we must also condemn the existence of this pact for its unwarranted aggression itself, and its failure to attempt diplomatic or peaceful resolution.

The lawless piracy of the Corporate Alliance is not simply an affront to common standards of civilized diplomacy; it is damaging to peace, and to that security of international trade which is the foundation of nations' prosperity. In defense of both its own interest and the common interests of all nations, the Greater Economic Union has opposed and defeated the Corporate Alliance in the past. Yet it has become clear that the defeat inflicted on the Deserted Territories has not humbled that nation, nor has the warning of that war been heeded by the remaining nations of the Alliance. In defence therefore both of the sovereign rights of nations, trampled on by the Corporate Alliance, and of the common law of the sea, the Greater Economic Union of New Manth adds its own signature to the Whitehelm Pact; should the Pact's demands not be met in full the Union and the Blackhelm Confederacy will be at war.
