Broadcast in South Defese

Supreme Chanceller Palpentine appears on screen, the North Defese flag flying behind him.

"My fellow Defesians, it is clear to me, that without your President Joseph, you will fall into anarchy and chaos. All the virtues he fought for will be lost. Therefore, I have decided to send in a stablilation force. They will distribute food, provide protection, and give you peace of mind.
I have also put my dear friend Yoguim into your office, he will be the new official leader of your nation.
We hope you understand, we are doing what we think is best for you."

North Defese troops begin the march through the Southern cities, they create blockaids, curfews, and they control the telivision.
South Defesian flags are now replaced with a flag with Palpentines face woven into it.
The south was too shocked to resist at first, but now another resistance is forming, the Milita is organizing...
The 2nd civil war is beginning.

OOC: Well, I'd say the bottom part is more than 100% godmodding. However, considering the fact that it seems both North Defese and South Defese are played by the same person; you, I've decided to sit this one out and not pummel both your nations into pulp over less than savory RPing "skills."

"The Council has viewed the situation that has occurred in South Defese, and quite frankly we are not amused at what the government of North Defese has done. They promised a stabilization force that would distribute food, protection and such but have lied. In conclusion, we will decide to take action against the North Defese action", one of the councilman said with great concerned.

A second of the four councilman emerges from his seat, "We will think long and hard about wait to do. In the mean time, we shall establish communication with the leader of North Defese. That is all!" with that final statement, the councilman sat back down.



The Generals of the Air, Maritime, and Army Forces left the council's chamber. The room itself was pitch dark casting shadows over everything in that room, atleast on the big four - the Council. "We are even going to help the South Defese? We solved our own civil wars and so has the other African nations!" said the General of the Air Forces, looking over to the General of the Army Forces. "Yes, but we as a Democratic Republic must extend a helping hand. Besides, when was the last time our nation has had any combat experience?", the General of the Maritime Forces replied.

We must complement you on your attempted invasion; it was indeed a nice try. But, to use the vernacular, the jig is up and its time for your forces to go home. Lest our forces show them the way.

Following your most recent communique, the Armed Republic will again re-state its demand that all North Defese military personnel, military equipment, paramilitary personnel, paramilitary equipment, secret police, public police, and any and all civilian personnel associated with the recent invasion be immediately withdrawn. If the Nation of North Defese does not begin compliance with these demands within 24 hours, or if the Nation of North Defese rejects this ultimatum outright, then forces belonging to the Armed Republic of Salzland will begin launching strikes against the Nation of North Defese until such time as it accepts the Salzland ultimatum.

We urge you to pull back your military forces and accept a peaceful resolution to this conflict, before the Armed Republic engages your country. Again.

"What North Defese has done to the people of South Defese is outrageous and must be dealt with. But I would like South Defese to know that if they ever need it, the Rebellion will step in and give them support."

Having noted the withdrawal of North Defese forces from the Nation of South Defese;

200,000 soldiers from the Armed Republic of Salzland will be deployed to South Defese immediately in order to act as part of what we hope will become a broad international peacekeeping force. These soldiers will be accompanied by full armored and air support, along with several units from the Salzland Navy. These forces will remain in place until the Armed Republic is satisfied that the Nation of North Defese has returned its military to a full peacetime status, and until the Armed Republic is fully satisfied that the Nation of South Defese has been stabilized.

Following the arrival of these forces, Salzland civilian aid workers will be transported to South Defese to aid in reconstruction and provide humanitarian aid. We are putting out a call to the broader international community to aid us in this endeavor, as the Armed Republic is willing to put up $200 Billion for immediate food, water, fuel and medicine shipments, along with other relief and reconstruction supplies for South Defese.

It is our sincere hope that a stable, democratic South Defese may be rapidly restored in the aftermath of this conflict.

Having received a message from an untitled individual in the nation of North Defese claiming the same last name as the current ruler, the Foreign Relations Ministry unanimously decided to have a response drafted by its Defese Desk Summer intern. As the paid, full-time staff of the Defese Desk remain incapacitated following victory celebrations, he remained the only individual coherent enough to reply.

My name is Joe, and I am the Summer intern at the Salzland Foreign Relations Ministry. I'm working at the Defese Desk, covering affairs for both North and South Defese. Most of the time I do research on your country, and South Defese, so that the full-time staff can be better informed about the conditions in both North and South Defese.

Unfortunately, everyone else in the department is unable to reply, since they're busy getting drunk and partying. No one here is very concerned that your neighbors in South Defese are going to fight us, especially after what your country has done to them. Once they stop getting shot at, and start receiving clean water and food from us, we figure they'll like us just fine. Especially when our military units park themselves squarely on the border, and wait for the slightest provocation from your country. I guess, if you were actually the leader of North Defese, I could reassure you by saying that our military would much rather be killing your soldiers again.

Well, I've got to go, because the head of the Defese Desk just fell over our copier and broke it. Give my regards to the rest of the people living in your hell-hole country!

OOC: Well, since my country received a communique In-Character from someone just called 'Palpentine,' they decided it wasn't worth the effort to detail a high-level diplomat to respond, because it was in all likelihood a prank message. Also, since no destination for that message was specified beyond 'Sazland' (which my country could only assume was supposed to be 'Salzland'), they felt that it could have been addressed to the entire nation and thus open for anyone to reply.

Since the North Defese military withdrew because of foreign diplomatic pressure, the Defese Desk had every right to get hammered. Beyond that, yes, that message was intended to be an In-Character insult, since my country technically has no idea who sent us that message beyond an individual named 'Palpentine.' Out of Character, there's no hard feelings.

Official Response of the Armed Republic: To Chanceller Palpentine

We have demanded that your forces evacuate South Defese in order to halt the ongoing illegal occupation conducted by your military. Our record as far as military interventions in foreign nations are concerned is certainly public knowledge, and most definitely not something the Armed Republic must justify to your nation.

As for the South Defese it is our belief that, once they are no longer being shot at by your nationals and are finally provided with humanitarian aid, any remaining unrest will be quelled. Should this not be the case, the Salzland military will do the job it is being deployed to do: keep the peace.

We have recently heard of your, uuuhhh, peacekeeping, within the nation of South Defense. While most nations appear to vehemently oppose this, we support you. In fact, we wish to assist you in unifying your two nations together. We have seen what a nation without leadership can turn into, we were once in that position ourselves. Anarchy, destruction, death, and so on all result in a nation having no leader at the time.

For this reason, we wish to assist your nation by sending supplies, equipment, and such to your nation so that you may unify your two countries. We may also be willing to send our own troops and pilots, however we hope that this will not be necessary for if we are found it, it will obviously lead to war which will be very bad for the Universal Defense Storefront, of which we are a part of. OOC: Well Dai, I could take this seriously, but then we'd probably end up being at war by the time this was over, and I'd rather not be. So rather than have to deal with three (or more, I forget) concurrent, canonical wars, this one's getting the non-canon treatment. Plus, I can't imagine this not going nuclear, so I'm definitely putting less than my full effort in.

Though I'll be sending in my usual complement of MEADS batteries using Patriot PAC-3s, SM-3 ABMs on my cruisers, and flying in Boeing YAL-1s, in order to keep the nuclear threat under control.

Reason: Threat

We must stress that repeatedly threatening nuclear actions will eventually lead to your destruction, and it is detremental to your attempts to re-unite your nation. Nuclear weapons and such are heavily looked down upon by most nations around the world.

Considering this, we will still supply you with weapons. Several of our C-43's have been sent to give supplies to the South Defese, they will however not land there, and they are not carrying humanitarian aid. Each one will be carrying several weapons, vehicles, and ammunition. If you require extra food and such we will be sending continuos supply runs to your nation so long as we can without arousing too much suspicion.

Please include the co-ordinates of the preferred landing location. Please note, the runway must be long, and well kept. It also has to be quite wide. For this reason, a small out of the way airfeild will not do, and a newly built airfeild will also not do, as the planes will crash on landing if they hit many bumps because of the weight and size. We are also able to drop the weapons and equipment onto the ground without landing, however this must only be done if you cannot find a major airport that we can commandeer.
