AEROCON

Aerospace Industries Confederation

To the Free nations of the World

Following the growth of our market demands, we of the AEROCON have decided to invest in the construction of fifty new industrial facilities in five cities of a single foreign country to increase our supplying capabilities, which shall open one hundred thousand new cooperative memberships into the country we choose to build our facilities into. The AEROCON is a Confederation of Cooperative Industries dedicated to the research, development and production of aerospace technologies, including multidisciplinary activities like computer, telecommunications, electric and civil engineering, and is by and far a clean, high-technology enterprise co-owned by every worker, run over a fully democratic workplace with nearly absolute autonomy given to all members. Believing that monetary reward is only a part of the greater whole, our industrial complex is merged with educational facilities, from elementary to college education, and highly ample recreational facilities.

We will require a location with a highly specialized, well educated workforce available, and minimum possible governmental regulations and taxation, and ideally, no government or taxes. Likewise, we need a location which workforce is culturally adept at autonomy, and able to excel without the existence of hierarchical authority, and equally adept at cooperation over internal competition, due to the very nature of AEROCON as a cooperative of highly specialized workers.

If you have interest into applying, as either a president, mayor or overall representative, simply send us an official letter, either on paper or electronically, explaining why to choose the cities you have suggest to install our new facilities at. We shall evaluate all offers to then take our decision.

The city of Sulima in our nation is a bustling port city, open to all foreign development. It is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) as well, meaning your industry would receive tax incentives for setting up in the city. Government regulations are very relaxed in Sulima, and virtually any business practices are allowed, so long as they do not endanger public safety or national security.

The Country: Diplomatic and Economic Advantages

La Yanitarie is well known for it's history of aerospace designs. From very early on, the Kingdom of Arcadia (which has, of course, since been overthrown via revolution) realized the advantages of operating an aerial force, beginning in 1875 with the Royal Balloon Corps, evolving from using hot air balloons to zeppelins in 1893. However, that is not to say that heavier than air flight was completely ignored. As early as 1850, Yanitariens have been attempting to defy the force of gravity, most notably with one of the first fixed wing aircraft, which was in reality a glider drawn by a horse over a beach. This glider, flown by Marcel Niépce, and dupped the "Faucon de Niépce."

In 1869, the first unmanned helicopter, created by Henri de la Croix, took off from a park in the city of Hélène. Further, in 1887, one of the first self propelled airplanes in the world flew a short 50m flight. Alexandre de Narum, in his "Avion II", made history in Yanitaria that day, and was awarded a title of nobility for his efforts. His airplane, of which the patent drawings are pictured below, is still on display in the National Aviation Museum.

By 1904, flights as long as 40km had been recorded in Yanitaria. By 1909, heavier than air aircraft were drafted into military service, and the SARA, or Royal Aeronautic Service of Arcadia, was created. The SARA was among the first of military air forces to affix machine guns to their aircraft, and the first, in 1914, to realize the need of interceptor aircraft in attacking enemy bomber aircraft and zeppelins.

Fast forwarding to the modern age, Yanitaria, now a member of the Fedala Accord, is a founding member of Groupe AIR, an industry association of aerospace companies from nations of the Fedala Accord, including Lamoni, Lyras, and Sumer. Groupe AIR operates in 13 countries, including all of the colonies of Yanitaria. Because of Yanitaria's extensive history in aerospace, and more recently it's lapse during the 1980s and 1990s, the government of Yanitaria is going to great lengths to push forward the aerospace industry in Yanitaria, and, due to an absolute withdrawal of almost all import and export taxes, other industries such as factory production and agriculture are in full industry-wide recession, and increasingly due to government grants, loans, and scholarships, these workers are going back to college, while younger Yanitarians are seeing that their future doesn't require, but demand formal advanced education, however this will be more fully discussed later.

One of the current strategies of the Yanitarian government at the moment is temporary protectionism, a high import tax that will be in place until the Yanitarian Aerospace industries, mainly as a part of Groupe AIR, establish themselves on the international market. However, with no export taxes, and comparatively low corporate tax (with extensive tax credits towards companies that provide healthcare and pension plans). Additionally, the aerospace industry is almost completely deregulated, with only safety standards and employee protection standards, which we are sure that AEROCON would already meet, in any case.

And finally, as a member of the Fedala Accord, seeking factories in Yanitaria will not only bring the government closer towards the Confederacy, making a bid for Fedala membership much easier, should the Confederacy choose to enter the Fedala Accord, having factories established already in a Fedala member nation helps ease any transitionary period.

The Workers: An Asset

The worker is a nation's greatest asset, and Yanitarian workers are uniquely qualified for a global marketplace. Bilingualism is almost universal, with the largest percentage of Yanitarians (not counting the colonies) being bilingual French-Norwegian, followed by French-Spanish, French-German, French-Swedish, and French-English, in that order. Additionally, Yanitaria has one of the highest percentages of trilingual citizens, and the colonies provide a steady base of citizens who are fluent in foreign languages, as well as a source of cheap labour.

Yanitarians are also highly educated. As stated before, the dwindling amount of low-educational-requirement jobs are forcing record numbers of young and old Yanitarians to go and attain a college degree. Because of this, there is a large population of young, college educated people with excellent language skills waiting for a job in the aerospace industry! On the subject of individuality, no scientific studies have been conducted on the subject within Yanitaria, however with the spread of hipster/indie culture with in Yanitaria, and the success of independent records, movies, books, and other literature, as well as the success of newer management such as with Vigserche.net, or Bof Media Groupe, it can be assumed that Yanitarians not only function well in an individualistic environment, but thrive in it.

RE: New facilities

The ASoGM officially wishes to enter the competition for the new AEROCON facilities. We have significant areas available for development, and have port facilities which will allow the movement of large amounts of material and finished products. We have a large pool of educated people, and extensive manufacturing capabilities.

Re: Build factories

We would like your nation to invest in our nation and we would like to offer your nation enough land to build it's factories in FSSU. However in return we ask that over 90% of the profits goto us, including the governments rights to tax 99% of the companies earnings which are established in the FSSU.

With this, we will offer all your factories the free land it needs to build the factories.
