Request for international aid!!!
President Jerzy "Jay" Novakovich of The United Socialist States of Jaynova, West Pacific, takes the floor:
"Comrades of the World Assembly,
I come to you with news of a great crisis, which the entire civilized world. It is a terror that almost seems unthinkable, the stuff of nightmares, yet it is all too real.
I speak, of course, of zombies.
Our allies, the Fiefdom of McShep, recently went....how do you say...off the grid. Their leader, King Brice Catlan, ceased all communications with us. King Brice was known for his odd behavior, so we thought nothing of it. At first, we though it was just one of the new king's eccentricities.
We couldn't have been more wrong.
In November, we heard rumors that a plague of zombies has made its way through McShep, and that the entire nation was at war with its undead citizens.
Comrades of the World Assembly, I am here today to ask of each of you to give according to your abilities in aiding McShep. If the plague, which is so far contained within their borders, were to get out, it would be, as we say in Jaynova, Конец мира по мере того как мы знаем его.
The United Socialist States of Jaynova has deployed a force we call "Project Romero," a paramilitary squad trained in undead combat. We ask of each member nation, from the West Pacific and beyond, to also send aid, be it military or monetary.
The fate of the world could depend on our actions today. Thank you."
(OOC: To send aid, just telegram McShep (http://www.nationstates.net/nation=mcshep) and let them know what kind of aid you are sending. Then, next time the proper issue comes up ("International Community Comes Doorknocking" or "A Request for Military Aid" depending on what you decide), answer affirmatively. Or don't because, hey, we'll never know how you voted anyway! ;P )

OOC: There is no WA here. Also, we just RP events in the thread, so there probably won't be any TGs for you.
OOC: It's okay, just read the stickied forums at the top of the topics page and you'll be set. Everybody makes mistakes.

The United Commonwealth of Augmark will send aid to end this zombie crises, in the form of military harware.
We will donate 50,000 AU-X53 Zombie Slashers
Each weapon comes with built in night vision scopes, and rangefinders, as well as a full harness, to provide stable fireing when mowing down zombies.
Each comes with 2 2000 rd drum magazines
rate of fire- 4200 RPM
Action- Electrically driven ratary breech
caliber- 7.62 mm
effective range- 350m
They have proven very sucessful against both fast, and slow zombies, and with this gun, you don't have to aim for the head.
OOC: Do you have any idea how ineffective machine-guns would be against zombies? Especially one that's so heavy looking (it'd have to be with all the ammo and attachments). Besides that, no person is going to be the same height as another person and since you need to take out the head 'spray-n-pray' at head-level is about as useful as milk to a lactose-intolerant man: semi-automatic or short bursts would be more effective dude. Besides, transport issues, and only 350 meters, they have threads for ideas you have to be critiqued...especially since even the M249 SAW has a maximum effective range of approximatelly 1000 meters and general range of 3.6 kilometers. At least that's according to the following site: http://www.unitconversion.org/unit_converter/length-ex.html

If things get rough, a tactical nuclear strike is an option.

OOC: If things get EVEN more rough, we have one thousand Minuteman IIIs ready.
Albeit, they lack warheads yet. :$
We'll get working on that once we have the production capacity to produce 25MT W89s.

ooc: you're right, semi-automatic would be more effective to keep them down, but I don't want to do all the work here, but now I'm thinking the sure amount of bullets would at least, quickly shred into zombies, quickly making them immobile and mangled, making it easier and safer for mop up forces to do their work.........any rate, it would be fun to watch
OOC: If things get even rougher than that, we have 8,000MT nuclear warheads. South Defese, hate to tell you but with only 105 million you're not going to have too extensive a program. People like me (I have a little over 1 billion people) on the other hand would probably be capable of extensive tactical nuclear strikes. I'm not saying it's impossible for you to have nukes, just that it'd drain you bad. I am willing to aid you in the situation should it arrive however, mainly because I feel like NUKIN' SUM ZAMBEEZ!!!!!!! I'll make an IC post soon. Also, Augmark, you're right: if not effective it'd be fun to watch a bunch of crippled zombies.

OOC: I prefer the rain of fire/nuclear glassing. It looks cooler than a tiny spot of napalm (compared) and it can glass about 1/4th-1/2 the NS Earth.
OOC: Yeah, but with one the delivery is alot easier. Also, the nukes I'm deploying could be considered small but Ursava doesn't really like to use their nuclear stockpile.
To: The United Socialist States of Jaynova
From: The Free Nation of Ursava.
Given our experiance with other undead conflicts, the nation of Ursava had observed that nuclear deployment is often times the best way for mass-elimination of the enemies. Since nuclear warheads are deemed as last resorts in normal warfare however, we simply wish to inform you that there are several payloads standing by for your request and coordinates for deployment ranging from fifteen to two hundred and fifty kt TNT warheads that will surely eliminate any undead attempting to cross the borders of their original country should it become too intense for regular warfare to handle.
