To my esteemed counter part in Lynion. Please do the Dominion of Sarrowquand the honour of receiving a trade delegation to discuss potential trade between our two great states.

We have often looked upon the ripples of your actions in the world with favour and wish to become closer acquainted. As it is this Speaker’s desire to expand our market beyond our traditional trading partners it feels as though a trade agreement between us would serve both purposes.

We would initially like to send a small delegation of five bureaucrats to scout out what benefits could be had from one another.

I have also heard that your nation dislikes nuclear power, or perhaps just nuclear powers. Here in Sarrowquand we have pursued the path of nuclear power generation as a practical alternative to fossil fuels, we as a developed nation also possess the technical capability to produce nuclear weaponry.

However the Dominion government has never constructed or supported constructing a nuclear weapon. A nuclear weapon has never been stored within Sarrowquand and we will never seek to make ourselves a nuclear power.

You have my guarantee that as long as I remain First Speaker of Sarrowquand that the Era of peace my nation has enjoyed shall not be sullied by our involvement in such destructive folly.

Rebecca Silinky 1st Speaker of Sarrowquand

……………………………………………………
Should you accept our offer the following bureaucrats will be dispatched on a DoSA Concorde, flight designation ‘grey goose 9173674’,

1. Loyd Lysal: Bureau of Foreign Affairs: Office of Trade: Grey 59,800.
2. Natley Yore: Bureau of Commerce: Office of international trade: Grey 528,496.
3. Susan Aile: Department of Trade: Negotiations Taskforce: Office of the far abroad: Grey 530,300.
4. Riley Stephens: Bureau of Commerce: Office of international trade: Desk of N.Yore G528,496: Grey 1,030,926.

TO: Sarrowquand Government
FROM: Vamperial Kingdom of Lynion, Lancaster (Minister) Kidd
RE: Trade Deals

We'll be more than happy to accept your attempt tp establish a trade agreement between our twon nations. We'll accept your offer and you'll have an audience with the Vamperial Order and the League of Wolves to discuss your trade offers.

I will however state that, you'll have more of a chance that you bring a list of items you wish to trade with. Having a large list is better than having a small list since the League and the Order have strict trading policy's. However, having no nuclear weapons, producing or harbouring them may see you as a capable choice to trade with since the Vamperial Kingdom discourages nuclear WMD's.

When your ready, dispatch your team to Lynx Island in Lynion. You'll be given a few moments to prepare yourself before you stand before the League and the Order.

The five bureaucrats selected to go to Lynion busied themselves during the flight to Lynx Island. Loyd Lysal and Susan Aile were re-reading the Dominions files on Lynion etiquette whilst Natley Yore and his two aides continued to work on the trade goods list. The process was difficult as none of the team were sure of their reception, it was difficult to judge at this stage what goods would catch the eyes of their potential partners or if negotiations would continue into a second round should they fail to provide something desirable enough and were anxious to bring back some kind of meaningful deal that would advance Silinky’s cause.

Before they knew it the flight was over and they were making their final approach, now only time would tell how well they would perform.

Ooc: out of curiosity do you have a fact book or wiki page?

"They better have something good to trade with us," started Lancaster Kidd as he watched the plane carrying the five bureaucrats started to land at Lynx International Airport.

"You have great faith in them," replied his bodyguard with his XM8 assault rifle in his hands.

"The Order and The League have being picky who we trade with since the increase of nuclear armed nations lately," replied Kidd as the plane landed smoothly on the runway. "The FSSU was an embrassement and they weren't even worth their time since they only had a few items to trade with. If these one's can impress the Order and the League, then it may lossen up some of the trade laws we have," concluded Kidd as he wandered over to the airplane as the door was opened. "Besides, image how big our kingdom can expand too if this one succed," smiled Kidd as he awaited for the people to climb out while two SUV's arrived at the scene.

The bureaucrats of Sarrowquand dressed in purples and greys popular among the administrative segment of dominion population descended the steps that had been moved to the Concorde’s door Loyd Lysal was first and wore a distinctive amethyst sash of the Bureau of Foreign Affairs. His pale complexion and light blonde hair gave him a washed out and unhealthy look under the bright sun and he squinted as he walked, his eyes only slowly adjusting to the light. Finally he caught site of Kidd and the bodyguard but missed the arrival of the SUV’s in the background. Believing he was being met by only two people and unsure of their status he chose to introduce himself to the one not holding a gun.

“Ave Lynion, I am Loyd Lysal of the Grey Bureaucracy’s Bureau of Foreign Affairs, in the office of trade. I am Grey 59,800”.

"Welcome to Lynion Loyd Lysal," replied Kidd as the airport seemed to be quiet. "Don't worry about how quiet its being, there's being a lot of talk about the recent world events that are unfolding. The Vamperial Kingdom attempts to stay out of it unless otherwise proven to be required or forced too," explained Kidd. "Nevertheless, we have a trade agreement to start and if you join me in the SUV's we'll be on our way," explained Kidd as the doors to the SUV's were opened.

"Yes" Said Loyd, "things are strange in the world. At one point during the flight I looked up at what was supposed to be a news broadcast and saw something about a tiny nation attempting to declare war on the 'world assembly' of nations, I can only think that someone changed the channel to the in flight movie whilst my attention was elsewhere"

"Sounds like something out of a 60's movie," replied Kidd as the group climbed into the SUV's shortly before they took off. "Nevertheless, we do things different from other nations so I'm going to explain how things work. We're heading to Zulu 8-5 Transmission Base which will put you through to the Vamperial Temple. They won't allow you to set foot on Lynscert Island since its a military island and civilians can't go anywhere near it," explained Kidd. "When we arrive, you'll be sent to a private room and from there, you'll be connected to the League and the Order Council's. Don't look shock, don't think its weird and don't show any signs that you can't believe what's happening," concluded Kidd as they arrive at the base.

"Very well" replied Loyd. The others looked worried and he felt nervous too but he remembered what he had learned in the Bureau of Foreign Affairs.

The world is not flat it is round and ever changing. What you know now is not so great what you see is not so far. Within our land much is known, you are safe and at peace. Within the world things are strange, things are excited. Without the foreign we would sleep, without our land we would come apart. Walk forth with an aspect of home. Come home with an aspect of far.

He repeated the words in his head and relaxed. The change showed on his face and the other bureaucrats became less agitated seeing that their leader was ready.

"Ahh Lancaster Kidd," started the man behind the desk as the group had ventured into the main room. "The systems are online and everything is ready for you sir," he explained as security allowed the group to wander downstairs. "The Council is expecting you,"

"I know," replied Kidd as the man watched the group head downstairs. They eventually found another group of people waiting for their arrival. "Right, you five go straight into that room," Kidd pointed to a room that was ready for use as he turned to another. "I'll be in that room and the door will be closed behind you. Wait a few moments and you'll come before the Council. Anymore questions?"
Sarrowquand
25-02-2009, 11:47
"No I've no more questions" replied Loyd. He bowed slightly to Kidd and then motioned for his group to head into the indicated room.

"Good luck then," Kidd concluded as the five members went into the room. The door was closed behind them as they looked around at the cold, heartless walls. This made people feel depressed but suddenly, they found themselves surrounded by a green light that swirled round and round. It suddenly stopped as...

Lynscert Island, Vamperial Temple
Council Main Chambers
1043 Hours

The Council Members from the Order and League sat quietly in the room for a few moments. Key members including Rathma Phoenix, Woff, Jian, Tzu and for the first time, King Taishi Ci, sat down alongside several other members as the hologram of Kidd appeared next to Rathma. The 12 members glanced about as the reports were given to them via the hologram to their left.

"I present to you,

1. Loyd Lysal: Bureau of Foreign Affairs: Office of Trade: Grey 59,800.
2. Natley Yore: Bureau of Commerce: Office of International trade: Grey 528,496.
3. Susan Aile: Department of Trade: Negotiations Taskforce: Office of the far abroad: Grey 530,300.
4. Riley Stephens: Bureau of Commerce: Office of International trade: Desk of N.Yore G528,496: Grey 1,030,926. and
5. Stephanie Roctavius: Bureau of Commerce: Office of International trade: Desk of N.Yore G528,496: Grey 1,026,528," started Kidd.

"We are here to discuss the trade agreement between our two nations," started Woff as he watched the holograms of the five personal appear shortly after their introduction. "Lancaster Kidd, you inform them we don't deal with nations that harbour nuclear weapons. What is their status on it?"

"They don't have a nuclear program or produce them," replied Kidd as Woff then turned to the five in the middle.

"So, what are you purposing for a trade agreement between our two nations?" asked Vamperial Grand Aerial Headmaster Lee King. "I hope that unlike FSSU, you have more than a handful of items,"
Sarrowquand
26-02-2009, 00:21
Loyd Lysal sensing it was his turn to speak addressed the twelve holograms before him.

"We have prepared a list of trade items that we feel we could provide you with at competitive prices and in reasonable quantities. All that remains is to present you with this list and see if any items are of interest to your state. There are of course also the more usual resources as well but without knowing your needs we feel that these should be saved for a discussion at a later date. Sirrah Aile please begin reading from the list."
The representative of the Department of Trade drew a breath and began.

“In the south east of our land we cultivate hearty hops and produce strong yeasty ales and both dark and blonde beers that are best when savoured by a citizenry that drinks for the pleasure of the brew and not the drug”

She continued to the next item with as little pause as possible knowing that the list was alphabetised rather then arranged so that the strongest options would appear first

“The Dominion of Sarrowquand supports the arts and culture of our people this is no more evident than in the production of poetry, literature and philosophy. We feel that Lynion would find a market for publishing books licensed from our state”

“A practical and mechanical people we have produced many fine examples of clockwork and suggest that your citizenry may desire to own time pieces produced from within Sarrowquand”

“The Dominion also possesses a lush tropical zone and from this we derive many excellent products, including fine coffee of a high standard. As with all products that we produce every effort is made towards sustainability so that we should not squander our future but whilst production is modest the product will not disappoint”

“Our rainforests also give us access to the chemical resources to make good cosmetics; we produce soap in abundance, shower gel, lipstick, shampoo and natural moisturisers”

“The land also brings us chocolate, as cacao grows well there. Whilst our people have a deep sweet tooth for sugar and eat it in large quantities our taste for chocolate leans towards the desire for subtlety and efforts have been made over the last forty years to develop plants that will yield a harvest of rich cacao to help cater to this. We have also many experienced chocolateers operating within the Dominion and we feel that the industry of producing quality chocolate is alive and well within our land.”

“We are able to provide Lynion with organic dyes in a variety of colours harvested from the flora of Sarrowquand”

“The third Dominion government produces a great deal of electronic hardware, from radios to computers. We emphasise durability in construction and try to use wood and metal rather then plastic.”

“Our climate is well suited to the cultivation of hemp and we produce this flexible plant for its value in, rope, clothing and more recently bio fuel”

“Surrounded as we are by abundant seas the Dominion is able to offer fish, shellfish, crustaceans and kelp for trade with your kingdom”

“We produce and cultivate many diverse and beautiful species of flora. Orchids, tulips, hydrangeas, daffodils, daisies, ferns, roses and lilies”

“Our carpenters also produce fine examples of wooden furniture sustainably sourced in both hard and softwoods”

“Sarrowquand produces a regional spirit known as ‘Gosti’ which is refined from goldfish”

“We recognise that Lynion and Sarrowquand are both in the market of producing IT software products however it is possible that we could each learn from the others methods or find niche markets within the others traditional territory for customers who would prefer a different approach to things”

“Sarrowquand has large deposits of Jade and we are willing to export jade products such as jewellery and tea sets made and decorated with jade. It is worth noting that we possess both jadeite and nephrite”

“Due to our strong consistent focus on socialised healthcare we produce basic drugs and medicinal supplies in high quantities which may find a market supplementing your own”

“The southeast of Sarrowquand also produces olives which are good enough for export”

“Our rainforests and tropical zone also provide us with ready access to palm oil a versatile product”

“Another regional delicacy is Ravendog cheese, and butter, since the discovery and domestication of ravendogs we have developed a taste for this delicious and unique cheese. Up until now export has only been talked about but this product is likely to reach the world soon. By taking advantage of this targeted trade delegation Lynion will be able to get access this market early and guarantee its supply.”

“Useful in a variety of ways is rattan a form of bamboo”

“Similarly rubber is also a necessary product for modern living”

“We also have access to a variety of rainforest spices”

“Should Lynion be able to offer us strong trading possibilities it would also be possible to open a ‘Socialised Tourist Tab’ due to its 100% tax rate the Grey Bureaucracy calculates the rations and privileges that are given back to each citizen for their part in the social contract. Using credit cards and computer accounts physical money is often reduced to symbolic status. In exchange for goods the Dominion bank of Sarrowquand could open a Lynion tourist account that would be topped up as payment for trade. Lynion could then issue vouchers or credit cards to its tourists visiting Sarrowquand who would be able to make use of services in Sarrowquand without having to worry about carrying around their own wallets. This would function as an advanced form of traveller’s cheques and because we would be recycling wealth back into our economy through tourism would offer better prices for goods paid for by STT then with capital.”

“As mentioned before Sarrowquand possesses an abiding sweet tooth so it is no surprise that we are careful to produce a surplus of sugar cane”

“Along with our sweet meals coffee and ale we are also a nation of Tea lovers and tea houses and plantations dot the land. Since tea was introduced to Sarrowquand by the Nerontire Empire it has been adapted and grown and we now possess some blends unique t the world”

“We offer textiles for trade as we are able to increase production of clothing and many fabrics beyond our own needs and also possess a strong tradition of needlework and embroidery making it possible for you to find both high quality machine work and manually made examples of clothes and embroidery”

“And finally we offer you wine from our south west region. Whilst Sarrowquand is yet to produce a truly world class wine, we currently produce wine of medium quality that, due to its slight international obscurity can be had for cheaper prices”

Having reached the end of her speech the bureaucrat fell silent whilst her two aides unfurled a scroll that restated the products offered in list form.

"(Woo,)" started Lee in their native language as the group of five stopped talking. "(They may have a longer and better list than FSSU but are we seriously going to consider having our Holo-Coms technology on the market?)"

"Relax Lee," replied Rathma who seemed to understand the language but couldn't speak it. "With all our progress, I doubt we'll be trading that sector with anybody,"

"(Calm down)," ordered Woff firmly as Taishi Ci had the attention turned on him. "(This is your first trade agreement and you know what we need and don't need. What's your call?)" Woff asked Taishi Ci as everyone now had their eyes at him. This made him feel under pressure but he was going to accept his position.

"I'll congulate you on getting this far," started Taishi Ci. "Not many nations have the items we're interested in trading with. Therefore, Lancaster Kidd," Taishi Ci then turned to the hologram of Lancaster Kidd. "Take one of the trains and bring them to the Vamperial Temple on Lynscert Island. We'll have a list of what we require by then and it'll give them some time of what sectors you wish us to trade with you. We'll also have a list of sectors to trade with you as well," concluded Taishi Ci. "Good luck,"

And with that, the Holo-Com was turned off and the meeting was over. Lancaster Kidd walked out of the room and met the group of five from the other room that came out. He glanced around and rubbed his eyes for a moment.

"Congulations on getting this far," started Kidd as he congulated them. "We'll be heading to the Vamperial Temple but are there any questions so far?"

“That was unexpected but happily not outside the realms of experience” replied Natley Yore, “Is the process involved in projecting images like that a closely guarded secret in Lynion or an open secret that the public has access to?”

“More importantly” added Susan Aile “from your dialogue and the fact that we were not initially invited to this, temple? I assume that things are moving in the right direction and it will be interesting to see what Lynion proposes in response to our offer. Can you offer any hints on which products might have caught your council’s eyes? It would help us to organise any more information that might be needed for the next stage.”

“Ah I’m glad we’ll be travelling by train this time” whispered Stephanie Roctavius public transport is so much more comfortable then personal transport vehicles.”

Yes thought Loyd but it’s a shame that we don’t have anyone that speaks that other lingo that the councillors were talking in.

“Actually I did have a question” Said Loyd Lysal. “What are the differences between your two groups of councillors you said they were from the Order and the League? What is it that these two groups are usually responsible for?”
Lynion
26-02-2009, 15:08
"What you experience is Holo-Comm Technology we use to talk with each other," explained Kidd. "Picture it like a web-cam but more advance," he added as he listened to Susan Aile's question. "I'll discuss that in detail but at this point, it can be tricky. Even for me, the Council can be unpredictable," he explained before Loyd Lysal asked him a question.

"The League of Wolves are the guardians of the Vamperial Colonies. They were created during the last years of the Last Priate War between the Vamperial Kingdom and the Pirate Alliance," explained Kidd. "The Vamperial Order is the equalivant to a Paraliament. The only difference, there's no parties and everyone actually do something without being all talk and no action. The islands elect their representive on the Council and they are called Lancasters. Lancasters is the English translation of minister," he explained. "These League and the Order are responsible for everything from the military to local governments to trade agreements to maintaing peace in the colonies. They'll handle everything and anything bought before them," he added.

"Now, upon arrival at the Vamperial Temple, you won't be allowed to bring in moblie phone devices, PDA's, personal communication equipment and camera's. If you bring any of these into the Chambers well... let's just put it like this. The guards and have orders to shoot to kill and they will follow that order to even the hint of danger to the Council. Believe me, the last bloke who did that had his head ripped off before he could breath," explained Kidd. "Now, if you can follow me, we'll head to the train and head to the Vamperial Temple. I'll try to find some points of interest but don't presume I can,"
Sarrowquand
27-02-2009, 14:41
"In that case let us continue on to the train and our next meeting"
The bureaucrats made a quick check of all the electronic items they had, ready to surrender them when the time came, and then followed Kidd to the train.
"One more thing though" asked Loyd."As you are 'Kidd Lancaster' does that mean that you are also a minister, or is it just a name?"
Lynion
27-02-2009, 14:52
"My name is Ryan Kidd and my position is the Vamperial Grand Lancaster or in English...I'm in charge of all ministers and ministries. If the Education minister or another minister wanted a change in the budget or something else, they come directly to me. I'm also in charge of the Ambassador sector and the representive's that come before the League and the Order," explained Kidd as they headed outside towards a train that was getting ready to take off to Lynscert Island. "Does that answer your question?"
Sarrowquand
27-02-2009, 16:14
All five of the bureaucrats seemed surprised by this. After blinking twice Loyd Lysal began to speak.
"I had no idea that we had already met with such a high ranking member of your government. We understood devices like keeping your ministers on a forbidden island and using advanced communication to hold audiences very well. Our own Speakers are usually restricted in their movements for their own safety and the thirteen Speakers of the upper forum live in thirteen secured towns within the capital, rarely able to leave and surrounded only by the trustworthy. For you to have met us at the airport so casually with a single armed guard... It is true, you do do things differently in Lynion."
Lynion
28-02-2009, 01:21
"Lynscert Island is our major military island and no common civilian no matter their rank can simply enter it," explained Kidd as they boarded the train. "The guards have orders to shoot to kill from the Vamperial Order which is understandable. When we arrive on Lynscert Island, the train will take us to one of the military bases. There you will surrender all communications, camera's etcra," contiuned Kidd. "Yes, we do alot of things different from other nations. For example, its rare to see someone overweight unless they're pregenet. We have martial arts classes to teach the children how to defend themselves and to encourage fitness. Another thing, never under-estimate the capabilities of the guard," contiuned Kidd. "The one you saw was an Imperial Guardian. They are excellent close range fighters and are capable of bringing down suspects quickly," he explained as the Bullet Train started to pick up speed quickly. "Another pointer I should make. There's going to be a man whose half cybernetic and half natural. For the sake of the meeting, never stare at him. He's sensitive about people starring at his limbs and he will pick you up on doing that. If he ask you a question, keep your eyes lined to his head and answer him,"
Sarrowquand
28-02-2009, 04:28
"Interesting" replied Loyd "there are similarities though; it is similarly rare to find overweight people in Sarrowquand and we also teach martial arts from an early age. Of course our martial arts program is as much about centring the self, calming the mind and learning the capabilities of your body.”
Lynion
28-02-2009, 08:57
"Nevertheless," stated Kidd as the trip seemed to have past quickly as they crossed the bridge from Lynx to Lynscert. "I've got a good idea of what they're going to say so..." Kidd handed them a piece of paper with the list of possibilities that could be used for trade.

1. Books
2. Coffee
3. Chocolate
4. Dye
5. Fish and Shellfish
6. Flowers

The Bullet Train zipped along for around an hour as it started to arrive at Lynscert Island after travelling along a number of bridges. Kidd looked out the window as he watched the snowy plains started to consume the view as snow covered pine trees spread out across the ground. Kidd watched as they passed through a military outpost before arriving at one of the major military bases. The train came to a gentle halt as Kidd was handed a fur coat to keep him warm.

"There's coat's in the draws if you want one," stated Kidd as he rose and headed to the back where there was a door. "When your ready, come and join me in a Lynion Winter," he smiled.

“Oh” said Natley “it’s been awhile since I’ve seen snow. I guess I’ve been down in the pastel coast region for too long”,

“Better then being posted to Morgan” said Susan “The snowfall there isn’t nearly as clean as in the rest of the country. It’s murky before it hits the ground”.

The bureaucrats all helped themselves to coats except and headed out into the snow once again following the Lancaster.

As the group of five ventured out of the warmth of the bullet train and through the station, they would've came across Kidd chatting to two pilots. In the background was a Blackhawk and a AU-1 Rotorless Gunship. The three were chatting about the conditions of the flight while a pair of Dingo Fighter Jets could be seen darting across the sky whilst taking part in manovours with their squadron.

"Alright," replied Kidd to one of the pilots. "We'll get going once the representives are in the BLackhawk,"

"Fair enough," replied the pilot as he turned to the gunship pilot. "Better charge it up Mick," He suggested as Mick went to his gunship and started to power it up. The pilot then turned to the five representive as the sky started to darken. "We better get going before it turns into a storm. We'll take the Blackhawk to the Temple,"
Sarrowquand
01-03-2009, 15:20
"hmmm yes, lets stay a little dryer then" said Susan. The bureaucrats began to crowd into the blackhawk. Loyd paused for a moment before and folded up his coat, he smiled at the pilot and then boarded.

"Omega 7 calling VT," started the pilot as he fired up the engines. "Package 4 has taken off and is inbound to SVT. Latin 7 actting as escort,"

The Blackhawk took off as it was followed closely behind by the AU-1 Gunship. The trip was rather longer than before but prehaps it was due to the storm that was about to hit Lynscert Island. Then again, anything is possible this far into Lynion. Kidd looked out the door as one of the crew members closed them to avoid the frost from chilling the fuel lines. He wipe one of the windows as the trip started to become shorter. Kidd glanced around before the pilot pointed to a stream of lights attempting to bring them towards the Temple.

"Omega 7, we got you in our sights, welcome home," came a voice over the intercom.

Kidd looked out the window as they started to make a pass over the Temple as it stood proudly on a massive cliff top overlooking Lynscert Plains. The four tall pillars and their beacons guided the Blackhawk and its escort towards the back of the base as a platform just be made out. Kidd smiled as he knew he was going to feel the warmth of the Temple. The Blackhawk carefully landed onto the platform before it was pulled into a hanger which housed a number of rotorless gunships and prototypes.

"Welcome to the Temple," smiled Kidd as a crew member opened the door.

Kidd turned around slightly and watched the doors closed in behind them as a warning went off. A storm was about to hit them soon and protocol stated that the blast doors be shut. Kidd jumped out of the Blackhawk and looked around as a man in cybernetic armour arrived with a male Mountain Pit Bull Wovlverine at its side. Kidd was nervous around this massive creature as it sniffed Kidd for a moment. Its thick fur, sharpen teeth, its snarl and the blood red eyes would make anyone feel uneven. It stepped away from Kidd before turning on the Economic Representives from Sarrowquand. There was no lesh for this creature as it started to snarl and watch them.

"Devil, heel!" ordered the man as his armour mask was lowered. "Welcome home Kidd,"

"Nice to see you Rathma," replied Kidd as Devil went behind Rathma while keeping its guard up around the newly arrivals.

"These must be the representives here for the trade deal?" Rathma asked as Devil turned to the five men still onboard the Blackhawk.

"Yep and try and keep Devil off them," joked Kidd as Rathma smiled at it.

Though citizens of the Dominion grew up around nature to0 a greater or lesser extent the bureaucrats of the trade delegation were all on the lesser side and were city slickers. The snarling wolverine clearly unnerved them especially as it was an unexpected element in this setting.

"I have not seen an animal like this before" said Loyd Lysal displaying the least reaction to the frightening Lynion wolverine, "Is it a local variant or perhaps specially bread".

"It's a native to Lynion and only found on Lynscert Island," explained Rathma. "Nevertheless, the Council has started to gather and you'll be expect to be there within 10 minutes," added Rathma as he left the hanger area.

Devil sat quietly as it turned and followed Rathma towards the front end of the hanger before taking its position next to a sentry droid. Kidd waited for a moment as he lead the group of bureaucrats down through the hanger and into the hallways of the Vamperial Temple. Most of the doors were closed but they did catch the sight of guards partolling the hallways and a number of sentry droids and wolverines passing through the hallways. Kidd glanced about before he came before the main enterance into the Council Room. They were stopped by two guards armed with a spear with some kind of blade on the top of it.

"All electronic equipment are to be surrendered over to us before you can go any further," it ordered as Kidd handed his PDA over to the guard. The guard then placed it into a draw on a desk on the other side of the door. He then pulled it out and waited for the five outsiders to hand their electronic equipment over. Kidd glanced around as he looked at the marble patterns that covered much of the wall's and the hallways. He enjoyed being in the Temple even though it wasn't his home.

Susan turned to the two aides, “have you sorted the paper copy files so that the pertinent data is easily accessible?”

“Yes” replied Riley,

“And Stephanie, you have made sure that all the information we need has already been downloaded printed and transferred into the paper copy files?”
“Most of the data should be there, however if we come across unexpected requests we may need to rely on memory.”

“Ah, I suppose that’s just how it goes, okay give up the electronics”,
Natley leaned over to Lyod and asked,

“You’ve told the foreign office we’ll be unreachable for at least the next few hours’ right?”

“Yes” he replied “there shouldn’t be any problems there”.

The bureaucrats handed over all of their electronic devices and prepared to enter.

The guard watched the five burecarts surrender their eletronics into the draw as the other guard watched Kidd open his PDA files and silently went through the next set of doors. The group of five was left alone for awhile before on of the guards went over to an intercom piece and talked into it. He waited for a reply as the other guard allowed the group of five to venture over to the door.

"Council will see you now," stated the guard. He was dressed in some kind of armour plating with a Styer as his main weapon.

He gently opened the oak doors and allowed the group of five to venture into the Council Room. They were escorted by two guards on the other side of the door towards a much larger chamber where they found 12 powerful Lynion Officals watching them. If they glanced around, they would've noticed the cybernetic bloke was on the Council as well as Kidd. At the top end of the circle was a high-powered figure watching their every move.

"You must be the representives sent by Sarrowquand to establish a trade deal between our two nations," he started in a deep voice as he spoke pure English. "You realise that discussing military hardware and IT hardware is only allowed for our allies and friends?" he asked.

Natley cleared his throat and began to reply.

“As far as importing either of those products from Lynion goes: Well the Dominion has a strong IT sector itself and though I believe there are some differences in our areas of expertise the fact that we are both in a similar business there means that trading those products is not essential.

And for weapons, whilst we possess only a small domestic market, defence contracting is something that the Dominion prefers to look at on a long term scale and so far we have been well supplied by the Etoile and Leistungi markets.

I also imagine that uranium is unlikely to be discussed given Lynion’s feelings on the matter I doubt that you would be willing to export to even a peaceful state that makes use of the substance for only civilian applications.

I think we are on the same page to say that some of what we have suggested is of interest to you and that you are interested in finding out what we want for it…”

Loyd placed his hand lightly on his colleague’s shoulder. Nately fell silent and Loyd began to address the council.

“Ah ha, I must apologise if my colleague is to bold. We are a frank people and he forgets that whilst he is senior to our trade representative that she is the one here to handle the finer points of negotiation.

Let us say instead that we understand your concerns and look to be at your service in this matter. We will not make arrogant demands over rights to sensitive things and shall make a note that this includes weaponry and IT hardware”.

"(Who are these maggots to have come in here and demand like they run the kingdom)?" demanded the hologram of Vamperial Grand Aerial Headmaster Lee King. "(Kidd, did you not inform them that the IT Industry isn't up for talks?)"

"(They know where they can't go,)" replied Kidd as he turned to Woff and Taishi Ci. "(They already know they can't discuss military hardware and the IT Sector),"

"For a start," started the partial cybernetic member on the Council. "Military Hardware and the IT Industry are non-negotable. Uranium is strictly limited to nations that don't produce nuclear weapons. We'll supply it to nations with nuclear reactors and power plants, but a nation that isn't stable and/or has a nuclear arms program, it can be...slightly on the list," he explained as he then glanced at Sherman.

"Discussing the matter of Lynion exporting products to you," started Lancaster Edwards as he sat next to Lancaster Kidd. "We can export a large range of tropical fruits, petrol and oil, gold, silver, tin, copper, coal, gems, a wide range of metals*, ceral crops, wheat, cattle industry and wool industry," explained Edwards as he waited for the representives to reply.

"And how might the Dominion meet your needs? Have we shown anything that you would like?"

"We have taken an interest in a number of items," started Lancaster Edward as the Council Members went over the notes that were given to them. "They are as follow...
1. Books
2. Coffee
3. Furniture (sustainable wooden furniture in both hard and soft woods)
4. Jade
5. Medicine
6. Spice
7. Socialised Tourist Tab
8. Sugar Cane
9. Tea
10. Textiles (clothing, fabrics and embroidery)

Is that all clear?" Lancaster Edward asked as he now waited for the response.

OOC: Sorry about the long wait.

“Yes, I understand” replied Susan.
“First let me mention that in regards to book publishing, I feel I can understand why such a thing is of interest as information is one of the most valuable commodities of the modern age and many noble citizenries are interested in the cultures of the world. I would like to say that there is a very low level of censorship within our publishing industry so our works range from the very benign to quite stimulating pieces that others might find offensive, if you have any concerns over filtering material then it might be necessary to liaise on export standards. The second concern is possibly to do with language, the three main languages that Dominion books are published in are: English, Imperial (a variant of Latin) and Achaean (a variant of Greek); a minority of books are also published in various other languages a fringe effect of our emphasis on culture and linguistics that has led to an artistically inclined audience of multi-lingual readers. All in all this is likely to be the easiest commodity to coordinate because of the nature of information: I am interested in whether your audience will be interested in print volumes, electronic copies or both; I hear that the former Dominion of Erreset employ bald monkeys tattooed with poetry to roam through their closed neighbourhoods to provide the upper classes with a splash of culture so we have learned to view format in a rather flexible manner.”

“You are also interested in importing ravendog cheese and/or butter which we are ourselves quite eager to begin exporting and are probably able to offer you a good deal on. Domesticated ravendogs and their use in farming is a recent innovation and whilst the product is popular in Sarrowquand it is still a developing market which we hope to improve and then export through Multi-Corporate, as our first international customer you would be encouraging the professionalisation and availability of this product and as such would be entitled to some special offers. We have of course brought some samples with us, which remain in sealed refrigeration units on our plane.”

“It is also pleasing that you are interested in the idea of a socialised tourist tab and I’m sure you have questions regarding this arrangement: Also if you would like some more information on the other products on the list please ask.”

“And from your own list we have some interest in all of the items though acquiring some would be more of a priority then others” Susan turned to the aides who had been preparing a list on scroll paper dividing the goods, they held it up so that the council could easily see.

"The main concern we'll have about books is that it'll have to be translated into English," stated King Taishi Ci as the other Council Members took note about the representives list. "Once we have the English versions, we'll be able to translate them into the native languages and yes, we'll have the books both eletronic and printed texts. Other than that, I think we found an agreement on the trade deal," concluded Taishi Ci as many of the Council Members nodded their heads in reply. They were interuppted when another hologram appeared in the form of a radar operator.

"Sir, Issue 35 has come up again," he reported in before vanishing.

"Lancaster Kidd, Edward and myself will conclude this meeting and establish the deal," concluded King Taishi Ci. "The only part needed now is concluding the deal and any questions that need answering,"

“Our culture is conservationist in nature, to be able to sell intellectual property and the fruits of our cultural investment for a fair price and gain resources we would have otherwise had to source from the land should please” Said Susan to the remaining members of the council. “In particular our agriculture is restrained by our parkland and reserves, yet our stomachs still grumble, let us trade books for food, we should have English versions available of most of our works in other languages, however we can certainly begin with manuscripts that were originally set out in English, what sort of distribution arrangements and price do you feel are reasonable and are you still interested in other products”, Nately coughed quietly, “oh yes” she added we’ll need to know what cereal crops you produce other then wheat”.

"Cereal crops are rice, but that's a limited supply, corn, wheat, barley, oats and rye," explained Edward as Kidd turned to Taishi Ci about the deal.

"We can trade books that are in English for cereal corps," stated Taishi Ci as he thought about the other items. "Yes we can trade the other products that we are interested in as long your interested in our own products. What else do we need to discuss about the agreement?" Taishi Ci asked wondering if the foriegners had anything else they wish to discuss.

Susan considered the arrangement of books for cereal crops, “Our people are interested in a diverse range of food stuffs and higher imports of any cereal crop will reduce basic food costs. Unless I’m mistaken over the question of scale I think we would be willing to import as much as you are willing to spare”

She considered the situation some more:

“Perhaps we could also consider
Tropical fruits for Flowers,
Petrol and Oil for A tourist tab, Furniture and Dye
and Gold, Gems and Silver for Sugarcane, Tea and Spice”

“We are also interested in exchanging embassies to keep our lines of communication open more easily” added Loyd.
