At the former feline capitalist tyrant capitol of Talton, now named Leningrad, a wolf stands on a balcony and delivers a speech.

Comrades, No longer does the fascists felines oppress the workers. We the Communist Party of Latransylvania have liberated you from the yokes of capitalist oppression and into the worker's paradise. Now we must stand strong against capitalism and the felines would wish to destroy the worker's will and the paradise that we shall build. Around the country, the workers celebrated the victory of the Party against the felines. No longer shall they be oppressed by the dollar and the rich. Around the world, the news of this victory was heard, the People knew the capitalists of the world would try to destroy them but they had allies in the fellow socialists.

Once again, the men and women of the Fascist Federation were going abroad. This time, things were slightly different. It had been nearly a decade since the Order had come in major contact with a nation of Anthropomorphics, much less enacted military action against one. The sailors and Marines were eager; Furries were considered "Special Game" by the GWO government. This meant they were as fair as game as a common dove, just more valuble. The Fleet would be strictly Naval; no landing ships would be present. This was simply because the Order had no intentions of invading just yet. Like the Navy in general, the fleet was air-based and revolved around a group of 4 Nimitz-class and 2 Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers, with a Battleship-led (The FWS Petroleum) escort detachment. As usual, a group of T-212 and GWO-Edition Akula submarines would be prowling below to spell death for unsuspecting ships.

The General Secretary and the government were discussing the recent messages from the outside. It seems that the capitalists and the fascists had decided to declare the People's Republic unfit. The Latransylvanian People's Army was just being created into a force. The threat to the People was grave, and the threat of attack by the tyrants was serious. Stalin was the first to speak.

"Comrades, the tyrant state of the New World Order has threaten invasion if we do anything to provoke it. I laugh at this, we do not wish to war unless it's necessary for the defense of the People."

Mikhail sits in his office, looking at reports. The People have began to increase production. New products were arriving on shelves in stores, the failures of the previous, corrupted government being fixed according to reports, but the truth was that only stores in the capitol were getting the supplies. The rest of the nation was staving, this fact was made aware to the government. They started to bring in supplies to the rest of the nation in order to lift the burden on the People. Unknown to the world, the nation was going through a second communist government, the so-called "capitalist feline" government was in fact a multi-party, reformist government that was led by Thomas King, but the Party made sure that it was remembered as a capitalist, oppressive regime. One of the parties that removed from power following the Stalinist revolt was the Social Democratic Party, led by Wolf Schindler. Schindler had hide in the woods in the northern part of the country with the rest of his party. As far as the nation knew, he was a traitor to the State and therefore a enemy of the People.

Near Kingston

Schindler sat in hideaway in the Cold Mountains, the area was a forested area. The nearest town was Kingston, a coal mining town which was a traditional Social Democrat stronghold in the elections before the revolt. The area was friendly to him and the party. He had watched Stalin destroyed the nation and create more enemies for the nation he loved. He needed to do something about it, what he would was not yet decided.

The Coast of Latransylvania

The Latransylvanian People's Navy was one of the branches of the People's Defense Forces that was created to defend the People from foreign threats. The navy wasn't as well equipped as most capitalist fleets, but it was enough to defend the nation. The orders were not to attack the fascist fleets but to fire back if the glorious nation was attacked by the tyrants. Captain 3rd Class Erik Thorpson's destroyer, Defiant was attached to the cruiser Leningrad task force. On their radars they could see the tyrants. The subs of the tyrants were tracked by the subs of the Latransylvanian People's Navy. The People's Air Force also prepared for the tyrant's move. Stalin assured the People that if the tyrants attacked that the Revolution shall be defended by the People.

In the meanwhile, the Allanean fleet proceeded towards the Latransylvanian shore, with their goal simple - as declared, to help refugees out of the country before the Orderites started bombing.

The waters of Latransylvania

Boats of citizens wishing to leave the nation were at sea hoping to be discovered by Allaneans then the People's Navy. Most of them were from the villages that were forgotten by the State's aid programs. They wanted to leave the hardship and escape to Allanea. One of the ships was discovered and the citizen were arrested, they were returned to land to be sentence to prison, one of the labor camps, or death for their unlawful travel out of the nation.

Schindler was reading the paper seeing what the hardliners were saying. Mikhail was already making some members of his government question his reasoning. It didn't help, he appointed Roberto Stalin as Head of State, he was killed 5 years ago in accident which the hardliners stated was a murder by a non-existent secret police. Schindler was the minister of internal affairs in the old government and he would have knowledge of such a group. A old friend of his, was appointed as commander of the local units. He had a plan, he was going to use generals that were against Stalin. The plan was to stage a coup, and the report of a old friend from school being the Marshal of the Army made things easy. General Viktor Rossinburg, a classmate from school and a hardliner was to be named Marshal of the Army. Rossinburg had told Schindler, that he had doubts in Stalin's group and that may change sides. He stated he will not abandon communism, but if necessary, aid in a pro-democracy coup. Schindler now had to wait for the right time to spring the coup, but he had to do it before the KGB find him.

The capitol was at a state of alert, with the capitalists surrounding the nation. The nation was self-sufficient in food and the workers were in the fields and factories rebuliding the economy which was destroyed by the capitalists during the Revoltution. The government was planning the defense of the nation, it looked bleak but they were risking it. The time was right for the coup but Schindler was the only one he could begin it.

We wish to have emergency talks with the Latransylvanian authorities as soon as possible between high level diplomats, if not with the actual heads of state of your nation. New Brittonia is in an interesting position – being a nation with both the personal and political freedoms that are seen in a liberal democracy and a Communist government – for any meetings. The Communist Party of New Brittonia, now the Communist, Socialist, Labour, and Workers party (CSLW), has had a majority in Parliament since 1919. The arresting of civilians fleeing Latransylvania did not go unnoticed by the Pschycotian intelligence. Surveillance satellites sent to the area broadcast the images in full color, high-resolution real time images. It was then that the order for a small squadron to depart from the naval headquarters and head to the area. The squadron, under strict self-defense RoE, consisted of 3 Zimmermann dreadnoughts, 4 Valor battlecruisers, an Arkhangel battlecarrier, and 6 Aegis CIWS shieldcruisers. As they set sail, they opened and read their orders. They were to rendezvous with the Allanean forces in the area and assist any and all fleeing civilians. This included protecting those fleeing from advancing GWO forces or from the People's Navy seeking to arrest them and hold them in the country against their will. Once on-site, special forces choppers would begin patrolling the coast at low altitude waiting for any signs.

Salazar knew he represented the nation at these talks, and had to show the nation didn't want a war. He fixed his glasses as he read a report on New Brittonia, to learn as much about the nation before he arrived. His assistant, a beautiful, young fox was asleep. He looked at her and smiled as the pliot contacted the airport's control tower. This was his time to show the world that Latranslyvania was a nation of peace.

Meanwhile, the plane was allowed to land.

The Commissar, his assistant and the crew of the aircraft looked outside the window. Yuri, one of the LPAF officers opened the door and stuck his head out looking around. He motioned to the Commissar to leave the aircraft. Salazar and Sasha walked to the door and stepped onto the stairs and walked down. The greeting wasn't what they expected but ever less, they arrived to the meeting. Salazar looked around for a car to take him to the metting. His two bodyguards stood with their hands in their coats.

"Felix, why are we at a military base?" Sasha asked

"I don't have the faintest idea, the crew must thought this was a airport or something." he replied

A tall man looking in his early fifties with Mediterranean features and a slight paunch - wearing his military dress uniform and a navy overcoat - walked over to the dignitaries and said,
"Welcome to New Brittonia. We need to get the paperwork done and then I can explain everything to you all in a bit. Please, lets go to my office, it is inside the hangar. You can get yourself warmed up a bit."

The entire place was cold. It was below freezing outside. Most of the non-paved area had a sort of icy snow covering it. If you looked to the distance one way, one could see the rocky cliffs meeting the ocean. The other was a narrow road trailing into the forest.

The hangar was only a few footsteps away from where they were standing. It - looking like it was built sometime in the '70s or '80s - also had ice on it. There, apart from the massive doors for the planes, was a smaller metal door with a red lit "EXIT" sign above it.

Off the shore of Latransylvania

The Federation fleet was not going to attack the refugees; they were anti-communists, and as long as they weren't entering the GWO, they weren't their business.

Air patrols were constantly over the ships of the fleet, primarily consisting of F-22Ns (Which already could target naval air defenses in Latransylvania), EA-18Gs (Which were operating RADAR jammers to prevent a surprise attack), a couple of AWACs, and F-23Ns. The T-212 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_212) was used widely in the GWO simply because they were damn near impossible to detect, and magnetic mines weren't a problem at all. Not to mention the extreme quietness the PEM Hydrogen cells created. Each sub carried the new delayed-activation Shkval torpedoes. They began supercavitation after a minute or two of delay to permit the submarine to relocate, making escape much easier.

Admiral (Upper Class) Harlequin Amoufhaz was in charge of the fleet. While he wasn't on a Superdreadnought (Which he was accustomed to), he had enough firepower at his disposal for comfort. He could start a full-fledged war if he wanted to, or he could maintain peace. It was nearly free reign, though the Spire had the ultimate say in things.

A slew of Marine Attack Boats were scooting around the hulls of the ship. They were small. Really small. But they certainly packed a punch; if they could get in range of a hostile warship, they could blow the hull open with .50 BMG Depleted Uranium rounds (Only on some MABs). If a hostile aircraft got too close, the "Twin Fifty" mount on the front would spell death for helicopters, and the IR SAMs on board a couple of the MABs could take down an unsuspecting fighter or bomber. Of course, their power was nothing compared to the might of the actual fleet.

After a moderate cruise, the Pschycotian squadron took up positions near the Allaneans. As they crews settled in to their alert stations, clad in helmets and flak jackets, three modified Pave Low III helicopters equipped with special operations soldiers took off from the carrier and departed low and nearly silent for the coastline to patrol for fleeing civilians.

Though the crews were tense with GWO moving in, their orders were certain: don't fire unless either themselves or fleeing civilians were under fire.

Off the shore of Latransylvania, aboard the anti-air frigate Herbert Spencer

The crew of the USS Herbert Spencer was experiencing something not unlike cruising through a thick vegetable soup – except instead of bits of carrot and spinach floating through the waters around them, they had refugee boats and men on inner tubes, trying to swim from safety – and safety, in this case, meant Allanean vessels.

The frigate's anti-submarine helicopter was circling the waters like a sort of reverse vulture – instead of swooping down to devour the injured and dying, it would drop altitude to drop a rope (And sometimes, even rescue swimmers) to save those whose inner tubes or other equipment could no longer carry them, who seemed sick or injured. Several dozen such refugees were already sitting on the deck of the Herbert Spencer itself.

The ship itself could be truly intimidating for some people – upon the prow, the skeleton of an Aoogan communist was mounted as a disturbing decoration, the man's arms spread to the back to resemble an 18-th century prow decoration. One of the CIWS cannon mounts had the words DEATH TO THE COMMUNIST written on it in black paint, and the other bore the slogan IF YOU CAN READ THIS, YOU'RE TOO CLOSE, evidently addressed to the crews of enemy aircraft.

Yet, despite this décor, the refugees were treated surprisingly well. Already several dozens of them were sitting below, wrapped in the crew's warm blankets, drinking warm chocolate and coffee, eating Allanean food and generally enjoying the hospitality of the crew. The ship doctor made it a point to look over any refugees that came into 'his' ship for signs of injury, hypothermia, or dehydration.

Everywhere aboard the Allanean ships, the work was the same. The crews fished refugees out of the water or helped them climb aboard their ships, where they would be taken care of, and then transferred to the Allanean cargo vessels, which would take them away from the place of slavery. If the cargo boards would reach capacity, the Allanean government would call for the long-range Ouroboros flying boats to be deployed on this mission – but so far, it was not needed.

A far more worrying factor was that the Communists in Latransylvania were reaching out for refugees too, seeking to capture them and return them into their nation for slave labor in the camps. This was typical: communism was in itself a form of slavery, and the Allaneans were not surprised that the slaveholders had returned to their nature. The question was, of course, how to help the situation.

The sonar operator squinted for a second, before shouting "Sir, new sonar contacts! Looks like a massive battlegroup, at least four carriers, appear to be Nimitz-class. Somewhere between forty and sixty combat vessels and numerous support ships. Sir, we bandits in the air, they appear to approaching our position."

The XO, currently commanding the submarine in lieu of the captain, walked over to the console. Scratching his chin, he pondered a thought a second before telling the nearby communications officer, "Tell the fleet to send some carriers of our own, to provide air cover and rescue any refugees. Preferably, we'd like one of those new, flying ones." He turned to the navigator, "We should surface to at least make it seem like we're not a combatant. We might rescue some of the refugees, but don't let that get anyone's hopes up."

A sailor is in his bunk unable to fall asleep. He cannot believe the fleet deployed its aging flag ship, the NSS "Republic" along with 2 of her Sa'ar 4.5 sisters, "Freedom" and "Justice". The Calie fleet was just making it self known, the sea lord had heard rumours that the fire fleet was heading this way. The mile long carriers and escort group would dwarf anything here.

GWO Armada

A drone F-18 had been specially shipped to one of the Gerald R. Ford ships, and the "pilot" stood near it with a crew of technicians.

"Gee, this sure looks complicated, you sure I can do this?" the pilot asked, reviewing the instructions. The technicians assured him that it would be just like flying a normal fighter, just without the actual force of the plane to interfere. Besides, he essentially only had to fly straight.

But why? Well, the GWO Government had decided that they would pull off a Gulf of Tonkin tactic to make the bombing of Latransylvania legal on the international scale. The pilot, as well as his technicians, headed off towards the flight simulator-like machine, and with that, the F-18 took off. An F-22N landed soon after, to simulate a Combat Air Patrol changing of the guard. In the F-22N pilot's eyes, that's all it was, simply a changing of planes. He was eager to get some rest, as he had been in the air for several hours.

The F-18 quickly made its way into Latransylvania waters, just breaching the border. It had a rather strong RADAR signature, and would no doubt get attention from the air defense forces of the country. If all went well, the GWO would be cleared for declaring war on the country.

The two men enter the car and headed towards to capitol to start the coup. The plan was simple, the pro-democratic forces would seize the Parliament buliding and other government buildings. As the men headed to the base, another officer was making a decision.

The officer looked at the blip, and two MiG-23s were scrambled to intercept the contact.

Leningrad Army Base

The base was the main base for the defense of the city. The car carrying the two men arrived. Schindler was in a Colonel's uniform.

"Ah, good morning, Comrade Colonel and Marshal."

The private ran to the base office, and the officers ran from the office to the barracks. The KGB agent in the base was arrested by the base's military police. The base was the home to the 56th Guard Armored Division, a loyal unit to the Republic. The commander, Lieutenant General Trotsky was reformist who manged like Rossinburg, to avoid the purges. The unit began it's task while two supporters walked into the government news service and handed a speech to the station manger. The speech was signed by Stalin to the manger, secretly it was a forgery by Schindler. The reporter read the speech to the nation and anyone who was watching the foreign service.

Today, Is time for the change we need. Stalin has driven this nation to the brink of war. Now we need to take it back for the People. I, Wolfram Schindler under the powers of the you, the People hereby order the arrest of Mikhail Stalin and his goons. Elements of the military loyal to the People are now liberating Talton. The KGB forces in the capitol surrounded the Parliament buliding ready to defend the hardliners. Outside of the capitol, the coup was mostly peaceful due to the dislike of the hardliners in the rural areas. Soon, the coup would be finished and the nation would held it's first election.

The F-18 continued flying about in CAP patterns, acting as if it was simply another plane. It was indeed armed, and it would put up a fight if attacked. The MiG-23s were easily detected by AWACs over the fleet, and a warning went out to all the pilots in the air, notifying them about the speed, direction, model, and formation.

As the Tactical officers greenlight confrimation came back across the radio net, the Air battle Commander cleared the channels of the needless chater by issuing the code "Air Command switching to AWACS Red Eye." Anyone listening to the radio know knew that they had jets in the air who were tasked to do somthing other then CAP. The somewhat casual atmosphere that had existed inside the CIC was now dispelled and the training of the sailors took over. Each sailor had a job to do and they concentrated on their set task.

"Raptor Flight, you are cleared for take off, I repeat you are clear for take off" The Air Controllers voice drifted over the speaker system. No sooner had the order been given the F-22Ns had been on the flight deck and readying themselves for take off. Now with final clearance given the F-22Ns hit their afterburners and launched of the deck. With in 5 minutes the 6 F-22Ns of Raptor flight had formed up and were now turning to head towards the suspected flashpoint that would be the GWO F-18s and the Mig-23s.

The 56th had push itself to the objective of the Parliament Building. Colonel Ulrich's 34th Infantry Regiment were the lead formation, as soon as they hit the area, they engaged the KGB troops. The sound of fire could be heard, as AKs, RPGs, and other weapons rumbled. One of the tanks fired at the doors of the buliding then a group of armed civilians entered the buliding. The 34th manged to fight it's way into the buliding. The castaties on both side were piling up, Ulrich was injured but still leading her troops. The fighting in the buliding increased while Stalin was upstairs preparing for the end. He was burning any evidence of the camps and such. The end was getting close and he was deciding what his last step would be.

"Damn it," stated the pilot, still focusing on the screen. "The people threw a coup, sir, you can bring the F-18 back now," came one of the technician's voices. The F-18 returned to the carrier. Meanwhile, support was being organized by the planes that were originally intended to attack the country.

15 F-35s escorted by 20 F-22Ns flew forward into the airspace, sending out the message "For the overthrow of Stalin; the people are revolting!" on airwaves on a near constant basis. They were planning to provide close-air support against the KGB members around Parliament with their 2,000 pound JDAMs and a couple of 5,000-pound GBU-28 bunker busters.

"Raptor Flight, our Radar shows the F-18 pulling away, can you confirm this?" THe Air controller quired as he watched the blip on his screen move further away. "Confirmed AWACS, Mig-23s were waved off by Mig-21s, should we return to the carrier?" The reply came back, slightly garbled by static. "Confirmed Raptor Flight, Racoon Flight will take over your CAP, head on...... Wait out, Raptor Flight" The controller stopped in mid-sentance as he watched his radar screen light up with GWO contacts, un-sure what to do, he changed the frequency of the radio to the link with the Tactical Officer onboard the WHS Harbinger, "This is AWACS Red Eye 4, I have multiple GWO contacts, do you want me to send Raptor flight to intercept?"

The battle inside the structure was still on going. There were reports of pro-hardliner forces approaching the city. The 56th's tanks were to defend and support the units. The nearby airbase was liberated by a militia group, and the aircraft stationed there were put into democratic service. The aircraft were a ground attack wing, equipped with Su-25s and MiG-27s. They were to engage any hardliner ground forces nearing the capital. Ulrich and her forces manged to enter the chambers of the Parliament to see the representatives still there.

"What is going on." she barked

"Stalin wants to stay to pass any of his stupid laws." one said

"If you are a hardliner.."

A bullet cut her off, as she fell to the ground. A sniper in one of the balcony had shot her. One of the soldiers returned fire, killing the sniper.

"Damn, Are you ok."

A soldier check her, the bullet had grazed her. She looked up at him.

"Damn, I must be half feline."

"Ok, If you like Stalin. You are under arrested."

The soldiers arrested the officials as the unit moved to the General Secretary's office. The final objective of this coup.

Outside, the units were mopping up any resistance. The capital was declared secured, and now they waited to a counter-attack by any pro-hardliner forces.

The 56th was positioned around the area of the Parliament Building. Ulrich and her unit found the place empty. Stalin must had left before they got to the buliding. A search was called to find him and that was given to the 34th. A scout reported large unit heading towards the city, possible hardliner unit. A couple of MiG-27s went to investigate the unit. They reported that it was unknown and that there was in fact, three division sized armored units heading towards them. Then a SAM was spotted and the aircraft went to defensive measures and one of the fighters was lost. The situation was now tense with 3 enemy divisions closing on the democratic forces in the city. The fighters were ordered to engage the enemy forces while the troops and equipment of the 56th took their defensive positions, they now had to defend the hope of democracy in this nation or die trying.
