Nileville Declares Independence

Nileville

Nileville, a tiny nation located in the Amazonian Region, has declared its independence. Historically, Nileville has had a conflictive history and disagreements with the neighboring nations, because this country is a home of very valuable resources of hydrocarbons as oil and gas. The Nileville's modern history begins in 1881, when territories of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia declared independence from these countries. The Independence Wars were bloody, but Nileville lost them and the revolted territories were annexed again by these countries. The nilevians suffered different treatments according to the country in which they stayed. In Brazil they received the nationality as inhabitants of this country. In Colombia the nilevians received the nationality, but they were disdained by the governments of Bogota. In Peru and Ecuador, they were accused of several attempts of leading a coup d'État and were persecuted by the governments of both countries. One hundred years later, the nilevians of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, were revolted again. This resistance lasted for almost 30 years (1982-2009) up to today. Nileville is on celebration today. February 21, 2009 will be an unforgettable day for the inhabitants of the new country. "Behind stayed the persecution, the oppression and the disdain, behind stayed the hatred and the separation. Today is a day of freedom, of peace, of happiness for all the Nilevians. Nileville is independent today!", said the new Nileville's President, Arnold Powell in the capital city of the new state, Nilo

Long live to Nileville!
Long live to the Nilevians!!!

OOC: Could I have a map to denote what areas in those South American countries it is? Also, if Portuguese is one of your nation's languages, you're inclined to recieve economic support through East Congaree's League of Lusophone Nations.

On behalf of the government of Hierphil, I would like to congradulate Nileville on its independence. Hierphil firmly believes that each group of people has the right to rule themselves under their own laws and we are thrilled to see this revealed in Nileville. Permit me to extend my hand and invite your new government to a longlasting friendship that I know will grow between our nations, despite the considerable distance apart. If you should require any capital support, let us know and we will offer as much of the support we can muster. Thank you for your time and as a final request, the Prime Minister of Hierphil, Remus York, would like to know how to properly address your head of state.
