The Hierphilian Prime Minister released a statement today aimed at gathering the attention of foreign superpowers.

"After a lengthy period of rebuilding following the confrontation with SCAR, Hierphil has decided to reopen communication with the foreign nations at large. If there are any nations interested in developing a friendship with Hierphil, a peace-loving medium sized nation of over half a billion people, please feel free to respond positively to this memo and our Minister of Foreign Affairs will gladly take necessary measures to contact you. Thank you for your time." Prime Minister Remus York, Weekly Update Hierphil National News Station

Other noteable news out of Hierphil is as follows:

- Hierphil will soon release it's new national flag. Although the older flag is still well liked, the nation feels it necessary to create a unique face for Hierphil.
- Hierphil is debating on changing its official full name from "The Empire of Hierphil" to "The Republic of Hierphil" as Hierphil hasn't had a single absolute monarch since the reign of the Vanjaguard. Today, the Hierphilian government is considered by many to be a "democratic socialist country" however the term socialist is used lightly because many ideals of the nation remain conservative.
-Prime Minister Remus York just entered his third term as Prime Minister.

To the Appropriate Official of the Empire of Hierphil,

His Majesty, King William V Salisbury, is rather concerned about your state and would like to know what became of your monarchy and why there is no sitting monarch today. As you may know, the state of the Salisburgic hegemony is being jeopardised by a pretender to the throne. This man, the malevolent Archibald of Doncaster, seeks to subvert the natural order and enslave his subjects should he abduct crown.

This is particularly relevant to states such as yours, whose throne is currently vacant. Such states are inherently vulnerable due to the unprecedented legal status of their incumbent regimes. I would have researched His Majesty’s answer myself if I could, but such responsibilities do not fall under my office. It would be in vain in any circumstances, since our two nations have most likely never engaged in intellectual exchange. I doubt that I would be able to find a volume detailing the history I require in any catalogue or library.

As was stated before, it would beneficently enlighten His Majesty if you were to share this knowledge. Due to the threats enumerated above, these times are dangerous for those states otherwise exalted by monarchical tradition.

Signed,
The Rt Hon Lord Rodderwick, Lord Chancellor

Official telegram from the Kingdom of Bardar;

Even though the Kingdom of Bardar recognize the role of the new government of Hierphil has played in stbilizing an otherwise unstable region, the Kingdom must question the choice to take on a republican government. The Kingdom fear Hierphil could become a negative influence if the government follow the current course and advice the republican government not to spread bad ideas to neighbouring nations. Otherwise the Kingdom of Bardar is pleased the Republic of Hierphil has decided to open itself up to the world.

Asmolach II, Prime Minister of Bardar, Patriarch of the Church if Bardar.

Although it would take a library to record the history your nations require to make an educated statement regarding our name change, I hope that this brief synopsis will suffice.

During the early medieval ages (dates uknown) a MONARCHY took hold of the land we call Hierphil today. This land was ruled justly by King Jawack and his band of knighted lords. His dynasty lasted until the early 1700s when a rebel group of communist dictator favoring malitias overthrew the throne and founded an EMPIRE. They renamed what was then Hierphile as Corsov after their leader Vladimir Corsov. This group, called the Vanjaguard, ruled ruthlessly and absolutely until 1852 when a democratic government threw out the old government. Since then, our current three branch system of Prime Minister, Parliment, and the Seven High Judges have maintained order. However, the name has never been changed accordingly.

We hope that this very brief summary of the history of our nation will help you understand further the intentions of this planned move. However, the Hierphilian government is willing to trade and befriend all types of governments save ruthless dictatorships. Again, we are a very peaceful nation and hope to remain as thus. Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards,
Remus York, Prime Minister
