0700hrs, Capital City Reddish apartment building

The Alarm clock buzzed it's annoying greeting. Alex Munro groaned as he felt around with his hand for the Clock. When he couldn't find it, he groaned again and hauled himself out of bed.
"I hate mondays" He Muttered as he walked over to the kitchen and got a carton of Orange from the fridge and poured it into a glass. walking over to the expanse of windows that all the Apartments enjoyed he looked down at the street, a good 25 stories below. He smiled his first smile of the day as he sipped his drink. Putting the drink down Alex went over to the TV and switched over to the Four Heaton New Service. With that on, he began to do his morning exercise.
"...Thats right stan" The TV reporter said "The Norris Falcons were defeated by the Chapel Eagles in last nights epic match"
Alex grinned at this, knowing his partner wouldn't.

Thirty minutes later, after a breakfast of bacon, suaugee and egg, Alex strapped the 9mm Pistol, in it's holster, onto his belt line and put his jacket on, covering the weapon before heading for the door and getting in the elevator.

Alex was soon walking along the pavement in the Downtown area of the city. Kids were running back and forth, some for the school bus's, some after their friends. The traffic was light this morning and the sun shone down through the cloudless sky. The walk was far to the Poliice precinct that Alex worked at. Standing in the Foyer, was a very annoyed looking woman, already in her Police blues.
"Alright Jess, cough it up" Alex grinned as he walked over. The woman grimaced and handed over a hundred Stripe bill.
"They could have won" She commented.
"Yea, But they didn't" Alex grinned.
"Go and get your blues on, slowcoach" Jessica smiled at last.
Alex pulled a face before heading for the locker room

It was 0755 when Alex and Jessica stepped down onto the Pavement again to begin their patrol.
"It took you 15 minutes to get changed?" Jessica asked
"Hey, I went to the armoury on my way back" Alex commented holding a package out to her. A frown crossed her face as she took it and opened before gasping.
"You got me the New 9mil?" She commented "There not due to be issued till next month"
"Hey, i have contacts"
"Yea, right"

0800hrs, Downtown street

Alex and Jess continued along the pavement. The traffic was increasing as the early morning rush hour began to pick up. The Two officers kept a careful eye on those they knew who to watch. The Suspicious ones, the shifty ones. Continueing down the street they talked freely.
"Can't beleive the Falcons got beaten" Jessica moaned.
"I do admit it was a close call" Alex grinned "Two points in it"
"Two lousy points" Jessica muttered
"Hey, cheer up, I'll think about giving you it back" Alex said.
"No you won't" Jessica replied "You won it"
"Alright then" Alex grinned.

"Attention all units in the area of 12th and Arlington, 1192 in progress, Allen's Pharmacy, please respond" The Radio announced.
"First call of the day" Jessica commented as they set of at a run along the pavement.
"1192, hold up?" Alex said as they ran.
"Great, perp with a gun" Jessica said "Time to test this baby out"
"Yea, lucky us" Alex said as they arrived at the corner of the two roads. Looking round the corner they could see the Pharmacy in question. It looked quite enough, so they slowly edged along the road until they were on the right of the Pharmacy. They could just here shouting inside. Alex nodded to jess who drew her new weapon, alex did the same. They approached the door and looked inside. The Perp was at the back of the shop, a 9mil Sub-machine gun pointed at the cashir. The two officers quietly made their way into the shop. They took cover behind two shelves. They heard the weapon cock and made themselves down.
"POLICE, put the gun down now!" Alex challenged as they both popped from cover, their weapons aimed at the Suspect. Caught by surprise he groaned and dropped the gun. Advancing on him they kicked the weapon away and cuffed the perp.

"Good collor" A detectve commented ten minutes later. The Block had been sealed off and there were several Police units in the area "You just caught the Pharmacy bandit"
"Not bad for sixty seconds work" Jessica laughed "Can we go? We've still got a beat to do"
"Go on then, but we'll need to speak to you both tomorrow once this fools been processed" THe Detective said. Alex and Jess nodded walking away down the street.

The rest of the hour was rather uneventful, they broke up a few mock fights between school kids, and resolved a fender bender brawl on 23rd Street.
