NationState Times:

In a recent report, many residents of the new nation Cashcashgold have been flocking to the media to report the human rights violations. Senior resident Mary Canary says:

"I don't get healthcare or anything. I don't even get to vote or have almost any freedom of speech. All that government cares about is money. I would move out, but I don't have enough money."

This is just one of many testimonials from residents living in the country. The nation itself is extremely capitalist, and most citizens have next to no political or civil freedoms at all. Cashcashgold was formed when multibillionaire Gene Green, owner of the Worldwide Unlimited Corporation bought a large chunk of land in the Alterean Region, declaring it a country with him as its President/CEO. He claims the statements against his policies are false. Below is an excerpt from an interview with Green.

"I don't even know what these people are talking about, our country is great. I think of it like a beehive - everybody has to pitch in to get the end result, you know in the beehive case honey, golden like....GOLD COINS!!! MONEY!!! Oh...erm, heh, sorry about that, I get carried away sometimes."

So far, the World Assembly has not taken any action, but many people around the world are pushing for something to be done about the so-called "tyranny."

~ 21,000 meters over Cashcashgoldian waters ~

A pair of K-39R modified Gryphon stealth aircraft left contrails through the flawlessly blue sky, fully six hundred kilometers out of combat radius -- although it didn't matter all too much, as they had no weapons save their built-in autocannons and a pair of short-range missiles apiece. Their mission was simple and quite difficult to mess up: take pictures. The reconnaissance equipment they carried was sufficient to capture clear images of things going on at ground level, images that would be streamed over a secure fiber-optic link back to Saevitia's Eastern Command to be analyzed for suspicious images.

The two planes passed into Cashcashgold's airspace and continued, barely slowing to just under the speed of sound, and high enough that they would be well out of the way of any commercial aircraft passing through. And they began scanning the area. They were looking for any overt signs of oppression or poverty -- slums, death camps, any noticeable violence, rebel groups, et cetera -- which could back up claims of human rights abuses in the area.

At Eastern Command, the scans were analyzed, and the information reported to Central Command, which in turn briefed the Crown Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Official CSSA Press Release

It has come to our attention that citizens of a nation known as Cashcashgold have claimed to be suffering oppression and extreme poverty. After a thorough investigation, the Constitutional Sovereignty of Saevitian Archipelago has come to the conclusion that these claims are at best greatly exaggerated, and at worst, outright fabrications. While poverty is a problem in both Cashcashgoldian inner-cities and in rural areas, it is not a particularly serious problem by international standards, and one that could be solved easily by the local Government. As for claims of human rights abuses or violations, the CSSA found no evidence thereof save the statements of a few citizens. It is our advisory to the International Community that these citizens who have claimed abuse be investigated more fully, with any possible ulterior motives taken into account.

We are aware that Cashcashgold does not operate under a democratic system of government, but this alone does not qualify it for human rights abuse; were that the case, the CSSA itself -- among many other nations -- would be an object of international condemnation, which we suggest the democratic nations of the International Community take into account.
