HUBC Official Breaking News Broadcast
[Heirosoloan United Broadcasting Corporation]
Broadcasting Live from Tideport, NHEIR
Across Heirosoloa, viewers watching a show on the multiple HUBC channel were surprised when the screen flickered, to change to an emergency news broadcast. Luckily, it wasn't a natural disaster or terrorist attack, but nevertheless it was something that surprised the population when they heard about it. The screen zoomed in to show three reporters, a woman and two men, with solemn faces, a change from the smiles that were rumored to be required by HUBC. Behind them was a television set with the words 'Emergency News Broadcast' flashing on it. The female reporter spoke first as the three went through their usual introduction.
"Hello, I'm Linda Jackson."
"I'm Tom Eferall."
"And I'm Daniel Thomson, this is an emergency news broadcast from HUBC."
Linda smiled shortly and began talking, "We're sorry to interrupt your usual broadcast, but we have just learned that the Assembly has impeached Prime Minister David Chii. They have not announced you will temporarily succeed him as the Prime Minister, until the elections next year."
"Insiders have reported that Prime Minister Chii had suspected he would be impeached ever since he removed the state of isolationism Heirosoloa had been put into, and since the recent military actions of Heirosoloa."
"We now take you to the steps of the Assembly Building in Tideport, with our reporter Kate Devlin, who is currently on the scene."
The screen flashed to show a young woman standing on the steps of a large building. Behind her was a large mob of disgruntled looking people being held back by policemen. The young woman looked calm, but her eyes gave away her anxiety.
"Hello, I'm on the steps of the Assembly Building, where a large group of people are crowding around to get word of what is going on inside. Apparently the Assembly had been preparing this for quite a while secretly, before quickly impeaching him to stop any attempts at assassination or emergency orders that would keep him in power and possibly turn him into a dictator. We have seen very little of him, with the Prime Minister arriving quickly before we ourselves could come. No one has been allowed inside the assembly building, and we don't think anyone will. When the Assembly is done we'll be here waiting. back to you Linda, Tom, and Daniel."
The screen returned to the reporters who had kept their solemn faces.
"Thank you Kate, and we're going to have to take a short commercial break. Stay tuned, because we're going to continue to cover this breaking news story."
