HM Government Foreign Office serves as the primary organ of foreign relations and affairs with nations and individuals abroad, as well as a liaison for Cravanians traveling overseas. The Foreign Office predominantly handles matters revolving around communications with foreign governments and international matters at its upper echelons, while its lower functions include issuing passports, visas, and other travel documents as well as managing relations with the publics of other nations.

The Foreign Office, therefore, offers the following pieces of information for any and all parties interested in opening relations, maintaining relations, establishing communications, or having other business with HM Government.

Primary Functions

As the principal means of contact with the outside world, HM Foreign Office is tasked with keeping the name and image of the Cravanian Empire in good standing with foreign powers. Among its more specific duties are the management of diplomatic missions and consulates, the maintenance of communications networks and diplomatic channels, the management of state visits and functions, the issuance of travel documents and licensing, the regulation of immigration and human movement into and out of the nation, and the upkeep of Her Majesty's agenda while overseas.

Administration and Employment

The Foreign Office is currently managed by Secretary of Foreign Affairs The Hon. Sir Leroy Webbings, MP. He is assisted by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, The Hon. Pamela Wescott, MP. Together they manage the Foreign Office in all of its functions. Under Sir Webbings and Mrs. Wescott, the Foreign Office maintains relations with well over eight hundred foreign states; embassies and diplomatic missions present in each of them.

The Foreign Office currently employs over 200,000 individuals, both domestically and overseas, in varying diplomatic, administrative, and maintenance roles. The Foreign Office's employees come from all walks of life in Cravan, and represent the vast and unique ethnic background of the Cravanian nation, as well as its cultural traditions. The people who work for the Foreign Office do so as a service to their nation, and to further goals such as, primarily, peace and freedom. The Foreign Office embodies the policies and actions of HM Government in every way, and despite whatever personal misgivings about government policies they may have, the individuals who work for the Foreign Office do so with pride.
