It was a quiet and dark night in the capital of Outshine. Little did he know unrest was brewing with the workers of Soundgarden. These workers who had a lust for revolution asked Mark Hollandburg to assassinate the President of Soundgarden. Mark was immediately opposed to this. A man named Chris Perente shot him. He declared, "I am the new leader of Soundgarden. Be it all know this."

John Dewey sat in his chair, watching as the fireplace burned in a roaring inferno that lit up the room on this dark gloomy night. The only sound was the smoldering of the cigar and the crackling of the fire.

Then suddenly the door flung open. In a flurry of bullets, the president lied on the floor. Red crimson blood covered the floor. The Soundgarden Socialist party was behind this. They lowered the red and white flag to raise another in it's wake.

Once the western provinces heard about the coup, they were furious, and the state split in two. The eastern socialist Soundgarden capital is on the ocean called Outshine. The western conservative Soundgarden capital is Plackinus.

A heavy advocate for capitalism was voted to be the knew President of West Soundgarden.

OOC: Gotta give you credit for writing it up. Try to add more detail though. Why is a coup happening? Where across the country is it taking place? How many are involved? Who's the leader? Are there any other factions? What would make us, other nations, want to fight any side in particular?

Formal Press Conference (Eastern Socialist States of Soundgarden)

There will be absolutely no surrender. We will not allow these scum who result to child labor to sustain the economy.

The shores of the Middle Land were aroused with the constant buzz of military preparation as troops, some veterans and some green, were moved around constantly as they boarded ships that were headed towards Soundgardens. A declaration of war was being written up against the Democratic Republic of the nation and the Socialist ground would be used a stationing area. A total of some eighteen thousand troops would be amassed to begin their strike against the targeted nation and the media was already purchasing kevlar vests and helmets by the truckload and giving their field agents training on how to not get shot in a place in the world where that was every single man's target, that or get the fuck out of the area, a very perplexing predicament.

The goal of the operation would be to seize as much territory as possible in the northern section of the opposing nation and hold ground as to tie down as many troops as possible, this would be achieved threw several means, some more humane than others but all with the same organized goal. The naval force of the nation was being amassed and would be sent off port within the week and was expected to reach the stationing area threw the continental breeches of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. Armored support and indeed that of the air force would be achieved in stage two of the operation, and thus the first wave infantry would be gaining ground, literally step-by-step.

To the Democratic Republic of Soundgardens:

In the Direct Democracy of el Centro de Tierras the people have decided that confrontation is acceptable against your nation and as thus our military is preparing at this very moment to suppress the division that your choices to become a separate nation has created in your land mass. We are not men of war nor do we have any internal lust for it that we hide behind a veil of empathy for your people, our empathy is true. Therefore to cease the violence we must annihilate all defensive and offensive capabilities possessed by your splinter faction's armed forces. In the narrowness of most men this will be seen as a war to end a war, but in larger forsight our choice is based on the reality that an overwhelming hammer breaks your will before an excess of life is lost. Therefore, it has brought not only I, but the people of my great nation into a declaration of limited warfare between the Direct Democracy of el Centro de Tierras and the Splinter Faction of Soundgardens.

Derrick sat in his desk quietly awaiting the report he had ordered. Since his recent marraige the nation was again behind him. All that was needed now was a temporary sidetrack, a small skirmish-well skirmish to the Shakal at least-would work. The gentle knock on his office door made him smile. It opened and the report was dropped on his desk without a word. Ten thousand pages thick, it detailed all going ons of the month in all known nations of the world. Derrick opened up the report and skimmed, he didnt want to get involved with whatever was going on in Haven at the moment and decided on a small obscure sector of the world. A country named The Soundgardens. The setup was perfect, the Shakal hated communists, socialists, and even democratic socialists were targets for death by Shakal missiles. He lifted up the phone and made a quick call. Sat and did ten seconds of math, and wrote a letter after clapping his hands with glee. After a quick proofread he ordered it bombed all over the said country by high altitude cargo jets.

To whom it may concern,

The Shakal Empire has heard of your conflict and has decided to send support to The Democratic Republic Of Soundgardens. As such if this conflict is not resolved in three days the full might of the Shakal Empire shall descend upon this otherwise quiet region of the Earth. We also assure you that this threat has weight to it. Look at the nations of Hamilay and Kalmurstan.

Mr. Highland sat in his office.... awaiting for the results to conclude the rumors that the Highland family decended from a man whose family was filled with war... a Nation that obliterated itself in a nuclear holocaust... where the old tribes had come from.... a forgotten continent that is now no more than sand and radiation.

A secretary entered the office and threw a folder with the words "Soundgardens Coup and Seperation". Mr. Highland was quickly worried that his first foreign ally was dead.... and quickly his fears were proven true.
"Prep the Infinite army project's finest commando squad, It's time they earned their blood" Highland spoke.

(OOC: The Infinite army is a lesser known project which takes Young Orphans and Newborns that were to be given up for adoption and train them from birth to be soldiers. This is up to 10% of the population of my nation. Kinda like how spartan males were trained from birth to be in the army.... but we use Orphans and Give ups instead)

[OOC: So 10% of your nation are/were orphans? Whoa. Anyways, most people on NS (including myself) set the bar at max population at 5%, and even that is expected to lead to economic decay, other-wise 10% and or more/less would only be used in the most stringent of circumstances, like when Russian was getting their shit stomped out by Germany in 1942. But its your nation, but just a for-shadowing that some people may simply ignore you.]

(OOC: While It seems bad, most orphans are treated the same and develop the same as most of the normal children in the nation. XD they are raised like Clone troopers... Bred for war and regular life. the 10% is a combo of newborns wanted to be given up AND orphans... not just Orphans. Orphans 5%, Newborns given up 5%.)

Press Conference from the office of the United Democratic States of Soundgarden

Good morning. We are never giving up to retain justice on this shameful coup. The Socialists have disgraced our nation. We must now show them our true might! We are going to set up a heavily armed border patrol, very small amount (50,000), but we need to monitor the border. The other military troops are getting armed for a trench defense immediately.

The troops finally reached the ports of the Eastern Socialist Republic of Soundgardens, and the commander quickly headed to meet with the senior commander of the forces and allocate what was the decided plans of the future. Meanwhile the troops were being again positioned outside the dropped cities and began cleaning their weapons in intervals. Back home the people military commanders were still deciding if they should send additional armor or aircraft to help push back the Western Splinter Faction, but this was highly in debate as there was another issue in another nation on the other side of the world, adding much difficulty to the decision as the cost to fund both wars, in opposite directions would begin to become a wear of the nation's economy.

OOC:The letter is just a propaganda thing, I know it was the democrats that said they would continue to fight.

Derrick watched the press conference over the television and almost broke into tears at the end. It was as he had suspected. Conflict would break out, and the Shakal would be there to take advantage of it. He picked up the phone.

"Grand Admiral Martini. Prepare a task force for embarkation to The Soundgardens, we are going to war." Derrick hung up the phone and began to make another call. "General Von Leeb, prepare your armee, you are going to war." He hung up the phone again. The arrogant smile still crossing his face. It almost made him forget how good it felt to spread the power of the Empire after months of nothing but politics.

Imperial Docks, Alexandria

The task force was being assembled. After doing dodilligence on the tiny nation targeted for destruction the Grand Admiral decided no huge force was needed. He planned accordingly by alloting the now called SNTF (Soundgardens Naval Task Force) the two nimitz class escort carriers SIN Justice, and SIN Redemption alongside an escort of 12 Missile Cruisers, 16 Light Cruisers, and 30 Destroyers. This would be more than ample to crush any resistance the communist enemy could put up.

Since the call came in from the Reichsmarschall the General began to gather his Armee. It would take several days to rush them aboard the ships bound for there target, but he was sure that the armee would be more than able to crush what meager resistance would stand in there way.

We are in the process of passing legislation to mine uranium deposits in our rainforests. There is only a small amount of rainforest being cut down, but this will stimulate our economy.

Three ships from the Battlehawk Navy sat off-shore, as cloase as they could get. The ships captains were not pleased. They should be part of the Operations abroad, or at least the backup. But no, they were stuck near some country that had gone Coup.
The ships were watching the situation.
The ships were Two Destroyers and a Amphibiuos assault ship, they were part of the Investigation fleet of the Battlehawk Navy.

"What's that?"

"I don't know!"

"Fire your rockets boys!"

They tried loading the rusty rocket launcher, but could not fit the rocket in there. It was because they were inexperienced, they were farmers after all. Their uniforms showed the flag of the Eastern Socialist States of the Soundgardens.

A UH-60 Blackhawk was flying low of the water, Inside was a Spec Ops unit on a recon mission to get a good look at what was going on inside the country.

The ships sat there, and something in the air could be seen. They fired the rocket, and it landed far away from a destroyer.

The Commandos had disembarked from Urdonas onboard a Mil Mi-26 heading towards The Soundgardens's mainland....

"So what the hell are we doin Bossman?" spoke one of the commandos in the 4 man squad, His name was Brig.
"We are following orders from the president himself to go aid some allies who have been hurt by succession on one side of their mainland." Spoke Bossman while he cleaned his custom modified AK-47

The team looked at each other... well everyone except Elios who was fiddling with his sniper rifle.

The troops has disembarked and were fully mobilized. Back home it had been decided that escalation was not yet necessary but three armored divisions were to be considered on stand-by for deployment into the Soundgardens theatre. In Soundgardens the commander requested a conference with the military commanders of the new nation... once again.

"Red Alert!" The Fleet Captain on the RBS Decent as a Deck hand reported the rocket"Activate CIWS, and work out the bearing of that rocket, send the chopper there"
Within two minutes the Helicoptor was headed for the rocket launcher.

They both fell off of the guard post as it exploded, and their bodies were in pieces and blood was sprawled on the floor.

"YOU DID WHAT?" The Captain exclaimed "Observe, caputre, not kill!"

"Sir, an unknown ship has destroyed a guard post. We think it is the Demmys sir.

"Hmmm, shoot at the ship with our AA-Flak. We will show our might!"

"They're shooting at us with AA fire now sir!" the Ensign at Tactical reported
"Alright launch two VTOL Talons from the Atlas"
From the Amphibious Assault Ship two talons launched and performed a flyover of the enemy postion

They could see into the clouds a recon plane flying above us.

"Sir, should we keep up the attacks?"

"No, stop the AA fire, these are not the Demmys."

OOC: Alright I've been rather tolerant up to their, but you don't RP attack If their not happening, my units never fired on yours, at all, they were observing and not shooting.

There was much tension at the border between the factions. There was one break in the cease fire:

There was now a flurry of bullets flying around, and negotiators from both sides returned the area to a cease fire zone.

Then (hopefully) by nightfall this war could be over and the little lands claimed for the Empire. Afterall, the Shakal Heer had yet to be beaten. It had faced odds that almost any other army would crumble beneath, such as when Grand Admiral Samantha Conners charge a Pudite Armada of 5000 vessels with only 90 Shakal warships. This would be a cakewalk, in preperation the cooks were baking a big choclate cake that had the words, "What now? Dunno, Invade Blackhelm? Sure why not..." written on it in icing.

The Mil Mi-25 neared the fleets surrounding the eastern socialist states of The Soundgardens.

"Sir, I'm counting a fleet under fire near the mainland coast and" Elios said as he looked through his rifle's scope but he was interruppted when the emergency red lights flashed as the fell towards the mainland.
"Oh Klank! We're goin down!" screamed the pilot as the helicopter neared the beach.

Elios grabbed Brig and Bossman and jumped from the Mi-25 into the ocean.

Captain Wahab, intelligence officer, foreign branch, studied the memo one last time before folding it up and putting it in his jacket pocket. It was just too damned hard to read by the cool interior lights of the small aircraft. He sighed heavily. They had meant to land hours ago, but the presence of a large naval force off the eastern coast of the soundgardens had forced the pilots to take a longer route. After hours in the air the pilots had finally found a suitable landing ground, just outside Nipuntium in the socialst half of the country. He looked at his team of 10, a mix of intelligence officers, diplomats and a few special forces soldiers. "Let's go boys", he said as the plane began it's final descent. Next to the runway he could already see the diplomatic party send ahead to greet them.

"Pa, I'm hungry."
"Honey, we don't have anymore food."
"But I'm hungry!!!"

The woman takes her husband into the other room.

"You need to enlist in the army. You know damn well that you can't sell anything we've been growing in this economy."

"Alright honey, if it keeps bread on the table."

The whirling of the planes created a din. They walked while the makeshift wind of the planes whirled and blew their hair in all directions. The trooper hands a message to Captain Wahab.

"We are needing to establish trade partners to stimulate our economy. We also need military support. We are being scouted by an unknown enemy. We need your support, please let this escort take you to the secure location, as I am in a state of paranoia, I could be assassinated, and there are plenty of people who would want to do this."

Captain Wahab looked out of the window of the armoured jeep sent in which he was being chauffered to the undisclosed "secure location". Half his party had stayed behind in Nipuntium ready to fly home, though he had directed them to fly to the Democratic Republic and do what they could to bring peace. Looking out the window, he could already see a nation gearing for war. The roads were packed with military vehicles moving materials in each direction. The government official in the car with him had given him a quick brief. The Soundgardens had now declared war on each other, and a large Shakal naval force had already arrived to lend a hand to the Democratic Republic. Wahab tried to catch some sleep, he could tell this was going to be a long night.

The jeep pulled up with a jerk, and Wahab was swifly woken up. He and his men stepped out into what was indentifiably a military installation of sorts, filled with hangar like buildings and surrounded by razorwire, and, judging from past experience, evidently the site of an underground bunker. He was greeted by a man in uniform, but who was indentifiably an officer. "Captain Wahab?", the unnamed officer asked him. "Yes, and you are?", Wahab replied. "That is of no concern, follow me". Surprised but unfazed, Wahab motioned his crew to follow him, and stepped after the officer into the main building itself.

Wahab woke with a scare.

"Sorry about that, we need to make sure you don't see the outline of this military building until we are allies. We are currently in the production of a WMD. We need the help of another nation to take dibs on this operation. Does your country wish to ally us, and help us create this bomb?"

Wahab was shocked. "A WMD???!!!", he thought, "I must be hearing things.".
He turned to the man. "Im sorry, you wish us to help you in the construction of a WMD?!. The Republic of Ahdin is unilaterally opposed to the creation and use of WMDs. We wish to see this conflict resolved in a peaceful matter. We have to find a non-violent solution. In addition to this Ahdin can not afford to become embroiled in a large-scale war. We don't have the recourses." Wahab had made himself clear. He now awaited the reaction.

Lieutenant Jahkaz, second in command of this intelligence operation and now in charge of the delegation to the Democratic Republic was anxious. This was his first mission in charge. As the plane touched down in Plackinus he remembered Wahabs words to him: "Don't agree to any deal". As he awaited the arrival of Democratic Republic officials at the Airport he made sure to keep them in mind.

It has come to our attention that this conflict was started with a nuclear exchange, and that future unprovokated exchanges could, in essence, effect the world in the most dire ways imaginable. Therefore, Falkasian SATCOM has mobilized two (2) banks of BI-4 Missile Interdictor Satellites (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Universal_Defense/index.php?showtopic=43) to enter geosynchronous orbit over Soundgardens, and prevent any possible missile or nuclear exchanges between the two nations for the betterment of the world. We wish it known that these satellites solely to prevent said strikes, and Falkasia is neither involving itself with either side during this war. However, any aggression shown against the satellites will result in the full wraith of the Falkasian military being brought down upon the offending party/nation.

Elios had turned on his radio after bringing his surviving teammates to shore.

"Sir this is E-0934 reporting from The Eastern Socialist States of The Soundgardens. Our basic human nessecities are destroyed with our pilot and Y-374569 when the Mil-25 went down. Squad Leader 8055 has a deep cut in his thigh and he and our Medic are incapacitated for the moment. Please advise" Elios spoke into his portable Radio.

"E-0934 you need to find or build shelter, obtain basic nessecities, heal Squad Leader 8055 and set up a sattalite relay so we can locate your exacte location and evac you. We have a level 3 Possible Nuclear Threat on our hands and your squad might be the only ones able to prevent it... or help prevent it." Command responded.

Elios turned off his radio and took off his combat jacket and his helmet and pulled out a hand shovel. He needed to build a cave.

"Good Afternoon. We are not as paranoid as those commies. We want to have a peaceful solution."

"Good..."
"We are interested in making a deal with you."
"What kind?" Jahkaz tried not to show how nervous he was.
"We need to make an alliance, so we can be strong, and prevail together."

Meanwhile...

Mark read the notice.

"What did you do commie?"
"Besides mocking you, nothing!"
"Oh really?"

"You think you can manipulate the situation by implementing 'nuclear weapons', when you don't control them."

Press Conference from the office of the Western Democratic States of the Soundgardens

There are absolutely no nuclear weapons involved. I have pictures of all of our military bases, and I will show the Falkasians to prove this. I am tired of the accusing out of no proof at all. I will ask for Falkasia to please keep these satellites in orbit, but remove the possible threat of nuclear weapons from any side. Any uranium in our possession is being used for money purposes.

They could see men racing up along the clearing, which was across the border. Their hearts raced.

"What should we do?"
"Shoot them, are you daft?"
"No but..."
"'This isn't what I signed up for!' is what your thinking. What, can't stand it farmer boy?"
"Okay, aim."
They aimed for two of them.
"FI... Oh sh*t."
"WHAT?!" He whispered furiously.
"My mag fell out."

There were bullets all over the ground. He loaded another clip.

"Aim... FIRE!"
Boom! Boom!

Two men lay on the ground. The third looked at them. Just as the farmer was about to shoot, his mag fell to the ground. The third soldier pulled out his gun and shot the farmer. The other murderer forgot to pull the bolt back. He pulled the trigger and nothing happened. He felt a jolt of sharp pain, and saw his blood flowing on the ground. "Hey you little commie. Here's dessert." The third soldier stabbed the one on the ground, and he lay there motionless.

SNTF Command Ship, Zero Hour

"Alright boys, you know the drill, watch out for ambushes, make your shots count, the usual. Maybe after we can all grad a beer and watch me poledance in the local bar!" The Colonel yelled at her men. It was both a joke and serious, it had happened before... but that was back when she was just a major, now she knew how to hold her liquor. "And for christ sake make sure you dont embarass yourselves by actually dieing here!" She added as her regiment loaded into the assault boats for the invasion. After a few whistles and cheers she sat back down and ordered the pilot to move out. She would be moving in by helicopter.

"All aircraft prepare to launch." Ordered capitan Odama. "Order a full spread of missiles to target any enemy fortifications or important structures in range and fire when ready. Watch out for enemy air support, just because we havent seen any yet doesnt mean that there arent any around."

Shakal Light Cruiser, Crispy Crunch

The order to locate all enemy fortifications came through the comm. Immediatly the advanced Shakal sensory equipment targeted any enemy defensive locations for cruise missile strikes. The Underdeck launch system of the Light Cruiser opened up exposing two long rows of 24 cruise missiles each. After a warning klaxon rang eight shot skyward. Another eight flew from each of the Shakal escort ships making for around a hundred cruise missiles all aimed at various enemy defences, military bases, and command structures. The troops would begin to make landfall shortly.

The woman received a letter.

"Your husband has died in battle." She gasped. "We will provide for your family for a while with our government's new and better welfare."

She sobbed and thought for a while. She went out to talk to her children about this. What she said was, "We are moving."

"Where ma?"
"Across the border."
"It's dangerous tho ma"
"I know honey, but this government is evil, we must go back to where we can live."
"But maaa."
"I know this is our home, but we won't eat if we are here."
"Okay ma."

They set out to make the trek to the close border.

Using what parts from the kit in the downed helicopter and his comrades' radios Elios completed a makeshift Sattelite Relay.

"Ughhh.... Never ever am I gonna ride in a helicopter without... a full tank..." Bossman spoke as he went in and out of concioussness.

Elios grabbed his rifle and began to scout the area....

Jahkaz was angry. Angry, dejected and dissapointed with himself. He was back on board the small Ahdinian plane, along with Captain Wahabs mission the the Socialist Republic. He had done his best, appealead for peace, not let himself be dragged into any deal. But still, he was angry. He glanced at Wahab, who, unreadable as he was, didn't seem to happy either. Jahkaz sighed, picked up the communal bottle of arrack, poured some into his plastic cup and settled into his seat.

Wahab saw Jahkaz reach for the bottle and smiled grimly. He had been pondering doing the same thing. Thinking about what he would have to report back to foreign branch, he cursed the soundgardens. Both nations had been obstructive, unhelpful and actively working towards escalating the violence. Foreign forces were already dividing the place up. "Poor sodding civilians" he thought. There was nothing that could be done here. Ahdin was a relatively wealthy nation, but was too small to field an army large enough to achieve anything in this sort of conflict. "Best to get out while we can" he thought, and reached for the arrack himself.

The officer entered the office of the President of the Western States of the Soundgardens

"Good morning President."
"Good morning Officer, what is on your mind?"
"Sir, the Ahdin have been very stubborn in accepting a deal."
"So what do you think it is time for?"
"A publicity stunt sir?"
"Hmm... That did work very well with the commies."
"We did get a photo that could be groundbreaking for the press in Ahdin."

The officer handed a file folder that on the front read "STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL" in bold red letters. The president opened the folder. He smiled.

"This is very good officer, how did you get this particular photo?"
"Just our friendly courier service." The officer smiled, "There is more."

He handed the president a tape. The president slid it into the VHS player. He liked what he saw.

"We need to call Ahdin."

Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep *ring tone*

"Hello, Office of Ahdin President speaking", anwsered the secretary.

"How can we help you?"

"We need to speak with the President."

"Hold on." Silence, then.

"Yes?"
"We need your help! Both of our factions!"
"Why?"
"We were just invaded by a facist regime. We are powerless now. Thank you for helping."

Both of them hung up and snickered. They had reached deals to be together to create a facist regime.
