Geography: The State of Ahdin is spread across 5 islands. The 3 smaller islands (Tohkat, Bo'as, Tihkat) are home only to small villages and are inhabited mainly by the small naval garrisons situated upon them. Of the 2 larger islands, the main one is Kalabahz, which is home to most of the large population centers, as well as the capital city. The second larger island, Tarkash Island, is home to Ahdins third city, Tarkash, and is an important industrial area.

All the islands are fairly similar in their physical geography. They are all relatively low-lying, with the exception of Bo'as, which was formed by a volcano [now extinct]. The vegetation is tropical and thick, and away from the urban and cultivated areas, is left to grow wild.

The climate is warm and tropical, with a single season all year round.

History: The State of Ahdin has only existed since around the 18th Century, when the then King of Kalabahz, Tal Rasha IV, subjugated the inhabitants of Tarkash Island. Prior to that time both Islands were largely seperate entities. Infact, even Kalabahz wasn't united under one ruler until the 17th Century, when Tal Gholat I, King of Ahdeen (now Ahd City and Didkah regions), gained control of the Northern Kingdom (broadly Bakhla Dan, Che'bkahl, Ka'ihd City, Fa'zuhl).

Since the formation of the single Kingdom of Ahdin it has never been colonised by a foreign power, and was instead used as a neutral resupply and trading post, under the "Ahdin Neutrality Accord" of 1805. It's importance as a stopping of point for transient trade ships allowed it to grow rapidly in wealth, which has in turn led to a rapid modernisation. Of particular interest to scholars are the so-called "Godless years" of 1843-1956, when Tal Rasha VI, and his succesor Tal Sadakh I declared religion to be a myth and banned it, in response to increased religious tensions in the nation following the arrival of christian missionaries. This accounts for the incredibly low levels of religious thought in the nation.. Following the death of Sadakh I, religion was unbanned, but is not supported or advocated by the state to this day.

Following decades of discontent and sporadic violence in the latter half of the 20th Century, problems came to a head following the coronation of Tal Sodaht II in 2003, who was widely seen as a despotic ruler. Sodaht II soon implemented martial law to control growing unrest. This act led to the formation of the Revolutionary Panthers of Ahd (RAP) in March, 2004. Their armed resistance, which was backed by massive popular support among civilians and in the Ahdinian Armed Forces, forced military commanders to withdraw support for the King. On 24th December, 2006, the RAP marched unhindered by the army into the Royal Palace and executed the King and his family. A provisional government was set-up, with the first real elections held in August 2008.
