OFFIAL DECLARATION OF WAR

Yesterday, following the shooting down of a Four Heatons PAssenger Aircraft, a navy taskforce sent to investigate. Following increasing tension and acts of agreesion by the Wolf Hold, who proceeded to fire on a Deserted Territories fleet, our fleet aided the Deserted Territories fleet. The fleet was wiped out when by some sort of nuclear blast. Due to this, a state of war now exists between the Allied States of the Four Heatons and The Wolf Hold.

Stageing Area One

The Area was brimming with ships. One entire fleets, two taskforces and additional craft as well as a 5 End All Class Battleships recently purchased. The combined fleet was the largest ever assembled for a single operation. Sitting just outisde of radar and patrol range of the Wolf Hold, the ships were getting organised before the assault began.

Declaration Of War

In response to the recent declaration of War against our nation, Central Command has this to say: From the moment the first Wolf Hold National died we were at a state of war. Any attempt to encroach on our sovereign territory will be met by full force of arms. We would also like to make an appeal to our allies, or to any nation with an embassy inside our country, we ask you for assistance or at least withdraw your embassy staff as in the light of the hostile force we can' assure your protection.


The Armed Republic of the Wolf Hold consists of 4 Main cities, these are fully walled and defendable cities more akin to fortresses, each city contains about 1 million people.
The Cities are Port Palla, the Main Naval Base Of the Wolf Hold, where the remainder of the fleet resides following the Four Heaton’s Incident.
New Harendeen, is what could be considered the most civilian of all the cities however due to recent political unrest, large amounts of counter-revolutionary troops are in the area.
Harendeen is the Military centre of The Wolf Hold, a massive barracks essentially, although with a small civilian population to support the soldiers.
Dercius the home of Wolf Mountain Air force base, the central Airbase in the Wolf Hold.
Finally the Capital, the Fang, Built into a mountain, The Fang is not technically a city as it has no civilian occupants.

We would also like to make an appeal to our allies, or to any nation with an embassy inside our country, we ask you for assistance or at least withdraw your embassy staff as in the light of the hostile force we can' assure your protection.

Comorostan will be glad to render any assistance asked. We are prepared to offer financial aid and the ability to purchase weapons on credit at a discount. We are, however, still debating the merits of sending combat troops.

The Major who technically ran Western Command was reading a newspaper. It was not as though he didn't have much to do -- detonation of what appeared to have been a dirty bomb or nuclear reactor had temporarily closed a shipping lane, and Western Command was tasked with preventing Saevitian vessels from using it in ignorance of the attack -- but it appeared to his aides that he liked to project an air of insouciance, a butter-won't-melt-in-my-mouth look that indicated to all who knew him that he was thinking hard.

At length the Major raised his head and turned halfway to the technician seated at terminal one. "Timson," he said, "The Four Heatons has declared war on the Wolf Hold. And they're launching an invasion fleet."

"It doesn't surprise me, sir," said Timson dutifully, wondering what exactly would come of this.

"Nothing surprises you, Timson. The Government will be interested to hear this, of course."

"Of course," he murmured. "But, sir, don't you think they would have already noticed, seeing as it's in the newspaper? With all due respect, of course."

"Allow me to reword that. You are going to contact the Government right now and relay to them this message."

"Yes, sir."

Several minutes later an Official CSSA Communication reached T4H, the first such communication they had received, although they would already be familiar with the CSSA's Western Command.

This conflict has come to the attention of the Constitutional Sovereignty of the Saevitian Archipelago. It is our wish that the Government of the Four Heatons seek a peaceful and diplomatic solution to this conflict, rather than blindly rushing into a war that could kill thousands, especially since the root cause was a tragic misunderstanding that resulted in the deaths of many innocent civilians but could have been resolved if the participants had bothered to communicate clearly with one another.

It is our belief that a full-scale invasion is unjustified, not without due discussion of the issues at hand. We reserve the right to take further action should it become necessary by the situation. It has come to our attention that this conflict was started with a nuclear excahnge, and that future unprovokated exchanges could, in essence, effect the world in the most dire ways imaginable. Therefore, Falkasian SATCOM has mobilized two (2) banks of BI-4 Missile Interdictor Satellites (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Universal_Defense/index.php?showtopic=43) to enter geosynchronous orbit over Wolf Hold, and prevent any further missile exchanges between the two nations for the betterment of the world. We wish it known that these satellites solely to prevent any more missile strikes, and Falkasia is neither involving itself with either side during this war. However, any aggression shown against the satellites will result in the full wraith of the Falkasian military being brought down upon the offending party/nation.

We believe that this conflict is unnecessary and would only cause both of your nations much hardship. In order to prevent battle, we are dispatching a carrier group along with transports containing three marine divisions to the region. Should conflict break out, we shall declare war on whoever we deem to be the attacker unless said attacker has been provoked. Should this happen, more troops shall be dispatched.

The Glorious People's Republic of Falkasia officially condemns Gordonopia's unprovokated usage of a carrier fleet to "prevent" so called conflict. Saevitia strongly disapproves of your proposed course of action. It is an unwarranted act of aggression which can only fuel the flames of war, rather than helping resolve them through peaceful negotiation. Should Gordonopia choose to deploy such a military outfit, the Sovereignty may have no choice but to organize economic and diplomatic sanctions against Gordonopia, with further action as warranted by the Republic's response.

Official Statement from the President of Empire of Aquidneckia

The Empire of Aquidneckia has been attacked, by a vile, and petty nation. First, one of their aircraft, penetrated Aquidneckese airspace, after repeated attempts at radio communication, they were fired upon, and shot down. While this aircraft turned out to be a civilian airliner, it does not change the fact, that shortly following this event, fighters, from their nation, again penetrated Aquidneckese airspace, this time, engaging and firing upon our aircraft. Finally, a nuclear device was detonated off the coast of our nation, sending radiation into the stratosphere. While the attack was not as serious as may have been intended, it did cause minimal increase in radiation along our coastline, and destroyed vital fishing zones, from which our population earn a living, and gather food. We have done surveys, and reviewed what intelligence, our pilots were able to provide, and have determined, that the nuclear explosion, was in fact that of a nuclear reactor. We have also determined, that near the epicenter of the blast, was a Four Heatons' ship. They have repeatedly ignored, the laws, of our nation, and recklessly murdered our citizens, including 3 pilots, 78 sailors on board on of our submarines caught in the blast, and at this time, a family of 5 are missing. They are thought to have been, along with a crew of 4, sailing, on their yacht, near the blast zone, when the reactor exploded. As of yet, we have found no remains of them or their yacht, and it doesn't look promising. In light of these facts, I have no choice, but to levy a declaration of war, against the Four Heatons. At this time, approximately 100 survivors, are being segregated from the general population, and placed in special camps, where we can ensure their safety, and that they do not attempt sabotage against our nation. Once the conflict has been resolved, they will be released. We also wish to inform, the Daniel Islands, that we have quite a few survivors, that were rescued from a sinking ship, a short time before the blast occurred. They are being treated for injuries, and will be released, as soon as arrangements are made for their return home. I would also like to, before they leave, award them with medals of valor, for the great service they did to our nation, attempting to stop the Four Heatons' forces from carrying out their dastardly attack. Official Response of the Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order

We told both nations involved to cease. They didn't listen. We asked two more times. They didn't listen. We sent a force of 200 combat aircraft to see if peace could be established- the crews of 134 of those planes did not come back after the nuclear blast.

The Order condemns both nations, but will not be taking part in this war. The Order feels that both sides should bleed upon the other's sword, as they are both the aggressors. More than 134 good men of the Order perished in a nuclear blast because of the failure of both sides to heed OUR warning.

We need this war to come to an end as FSSU will have to declare a state of emergency due to this war, it has effected FSSU in terms of diplomacy and trade and this nation is one of the founders of the Nuclear Mutual Defense Treaty which is a International Organisation that has been established recently. Upon arriving, our fleets will take up position between the forces of the Four Heatons and the Wolf Hold defensive coalition. A one-hundred mile exclusion zone will be established around all Salzland ships. Federation of Serbian Soviet Union has now sent a request to The Wolf Hold to send the 108 Zagreb Corps division to be stationed in the Wolf Hold Nation for any possibilities of a full scale war escalating into further conflicts. The 108 Zagreb Corps have arrived with 10 armoured vehicles and 3 armoured tricks transporting the 108 Zagreb Corps infantry heavily armed.

If you do not recall your forces immediately, Falkasia will be forced to initiate combat actions against your nation. We are trying to uphold a tenative peace, and a single selfish action such as this could usurp all the progress we've made. Yes, it is unfortunate that a nuclear device was detonated off the coast, but attacking a nation without any solid or fimr reasoning or evidence is foolhardy, and will likely only make your economic situation worse.

OOC: As I started reading this thread 5 pages ago, after reading 3 pages on the old thread and typing up my closing post, I had a nice address by the Sultan in mind to clear up some things. By the time I got to page five this thread had ended, so I won't write that post, but to clear things up, for anyone who didn't at least skim the thread that sparked this one:

Events leading to the FH invasion of WH:
1. FH civilian plane shot down by Aquidneckian planes over Aquidneckia.
2. FH fleet alters course to investigate as Aquidneckia performs rescues.
3. FH pilot goes rogue to avenge death of relative on board plane and starts conflict.
4. Enter WH, DI, and DT fleets. DI and DT came to stop fighting, WH was passing through and got crashed into.
5. DI, DT, and WH forces enter agreement to intervene and stop fighting and rescue DI and WH's respectivly wrecked ships.
6. FH-WH tensions escalate (somehow... I don't quite remember the specifics) and WH attacks, DI joins, DT is forced to attack the once-allies.
7. All out DT/FH vs. DI/WH sea and air war brreaks out.
8. WH submarine goes on suicide ramming mission to take out FH flag ship.
9. The submarine's nuclear reactor breaks apart and eventually melts down and explodes. So the 'device' belonged to the Wold Hold which you could easily ascertain through some IC intelligence gathering, or just call the Deserted Territories. I did notice though that the WH official IC statement was that it was a FH device, I liked that.
10. Anything left went home.

OOC: Just to confim that is how it happened, technically the WH were the instigators of the whole thing but you have to look at our situation. WH-FH tensions rose as we blamed the FH for attacking our carrier.

Oh and I thought blaming the FH was paticulary devious as well if i must say so.

OOC: Which is why my nation pushed hard for peace, then once Four Heatons agreed to pull out, went to extreme lengths to make sure that all other involved nations (at that time) knew that should they break the cease-fire, I would squash them.

And yes, certain nations insisting on continuing the fight (*Cough* Aquidneckia *Cough*) ought to consider that last clause a strong hint.

Upon further examination of the situation, the Empire of Aquidneckia, has decided to hold off, it's attack on the nation of Four Heatons.
