The Empire of Shima teikoku yokai comes into he spotlight

Shima teikoku yokai
16-02-2009, 01:33
The Empire of Shima teikoku yokai had never enter the world of International affairs, tending to be Feudal in it's ways, backwards, it was stuck in the Warring States Era since the 1500s with no contact from the outside world. The Island nation was long unknown, Ancient and always in a state of total War between rival warlords.

and also because it was ruled by a race of Neko-Yokai (Cat Demons) which were decent from Neko-Yokai from Japan in the 1400s.

but Humans did live here, The Empress Akihino (http://infolab.stanford.edu/~qluo/pict/trip/beijing/empress-dress-zoomin-2.jpg) was human and she was soon thinking of opening her nation up to the world. The need for trade was a idea by the Empress for the possible end to this long era of war.

But she did not know of what happened in the hundreds of years of no contact with the Outside world.

What the hell is this? Is this another country filled with impurities in the Human Genome? The contamination of Man is a crime against Nature, and the Order will refuse to acknowledge the "Empire" as a legitimate nation. Further support of the contamination of Humankind will result in any actions necessary to defend the Species.

Near The Village of Shinnabu, Shima teikoku yokai

a battle was going on between two Daimyo, as it had always been for the last 600 years. On each side were over 20,000 ashigaru (Soldiers) and 400 Samurai. This was common in Shima teikoku yokai as it had been over 600 years of no peace. The Daimyo of the land were always fighting one another, with little the Imperial Rulers of The Empire could do about it.

The Battle was bloody was sword clashed, arrows few. Spears flashed and the yells of the dying echoed through the field of battle.

"Echo 2, is that a battle going on down there?"

"It appears to be, they are using sword and shields, and arrows. Hah, lets scare them a bit, lets go in low and fast!"

The two F-15Es hit there after burner and flew low over the battle screaming over the heads of the warriors.

A Reconnaissance Satellite had caught the scene of the battle, and it was soon realized in the Spire that the Empire was no more than a bunch of mutations with swords. Being asses, the men called forth a show of force...

Nearing Shima Teikoku Yokai

A small group of helicopters was inbound, mainly to scare the hell out of the Empire, partially to demand the Head of State to accept an annexation document. There was a total of 10 CH-46 Chinooks and two Hippo-class Heavy Lift helicopters. The Chinooks were filled with GWO Marines and Federal Guardsmen, while the Hippos had RSAV Riot-Suppression vehicles belonging to the Federal Guard. Each helicopter had crates of supplies on cables on the outside of the aircraft. The helicopters made a pass over the battle, and for fun, the men manning the machine guns on board fired a couple of shots into the air, aiming away from the belligerents. The helicopters were on a course for the capital.

"We have GWO Helicopters on Radar, what should we do?" Asked one pilot. "Get them out of there, they have on right give them a warning and then if they don't respond shoot them down!"

The two F-15s came up behind the GWO helicopters and broadcast "Leave this airspace immediatly, or we will be forced to open fire"

16-02-2009, 03:34
"Oh bugger, we've got F-15s. They want us to leave," announced one of the pilots over the radio network. The group responded, stating that they were on their way out. The group performed a bank and headed for the border, leaving the airspace. Of course, a quick click of the Emergency Caller notified the GWO that there had been an interdiction. From the same province the helicopters came from, 15 F-22s were on their way already as the helicopters were leaving the airspace.

A few minutes later

The F-22s were sneaking up on the only aircraft in the area, which were quickly identified as F-15s, complying with a report later given by the helicopters. The F-22s were just over 60 kilometers away, close enough to hit the planes with their MBDAs and AMRAAMs. 20 missiles were launched at short intervals, with the MBDAs flying at over Mach 4. A message was sent before the missiles could be detected (Which would happen a second or so later) stating, "Do not meddle in our affairs, child."

"Well, that is that. Tell the helicopters they're clear for re-entry. We'll be flying under the RADAR shield to make sure nothing is coming back," stated the Major leading the air group. The government of Cazatania warns any nation that attempts to invade or annex the sovereign nation of Shima Teikoku Yokai that we will fight on the side of this innocent nation. We will use full force to ensure this nation continues to stay free. All those that support us in this goal know that you are not alone and that we have prepared three Army Corps in preparation.

And to the nation of the Grand World Order, know that we are not afraid to fight you on your home turf unless you submit an official apology to Shima Teikoku Yokai for your previous statements. We will not tolerate actions like these. If any hostile action is taken against this state you may wake up with Cazatanian marines in your bedroom in the next week. You have been warned.

Official Statement of the Commonwealth of New Brittonia

The Commonwealth of New Brittonia welcomes the Empire of Shima Teikoku Yokai to the world. We understand that entering the world is hard, it is tough – even more so for a nation whose technological levels are around the sixteenth century. We understand that – in a world where many nations are intolerant of those who are non-human – your entire people's basic existence is being threatened. We also understand that coming out of isolationism is tough. This is why we wish to assist you.
We wish for our Prime Minister Jacob Croutch – who has never been on official business overseas before – to meet with your Empress Akihino. Hopefully, we can work out some sort of development and international assistance deal if you allow this meting to go on. It will benefit both of our nations in many ways.

May God save the Queen.

What the hell is this?

Is this another country filled with Nazi fail? This National-Socialism is a crime against Liberty, and the United States will refuse to acknowledge the “Order” as a legitimate nation. Further continuing in this vein of fascist fail and fursecution will result in the destruction of any and all GWO forces that will dare to assault this new nation.

An aircraft carrier battlegroup is on its way to protect Shima, as are three escort and two strike cruiser squadrons. Furthermore, the Cult of Asukhon the Eightfold Victor will be mustering a volunteer force of five thousand men and women to assist with the counterinvasion of GWO.

Remember Dresden! Remember Stalingrad! Remember Berlin!

Prime Minister Crouch was sitting down in a V-22 Osprey – the vehicle that can take off as a helicopter and fly as an airplane – that was passing over lush green grass and other forest. He was rather alone. Because of energy constraints, he only had one aide and one translator – an expert in Eastern Asiatic languages. The press was limited. There was only one reporter: an NBBC photographer who was supposed to file pool reports quite often. There was a squad of Royal New Brittonia Commandos inside armed each with FAMAS rifles. The ground situation was testy – intelligence said – and as a result no one wanted to take any chances.

The plane flew rather low. Many of the populace could see the lettering and the roundel (similar to the RAAF's one but replace the silhouetted kangaroo with a red silhouette of a boot kicking a butt, as in New Brittonia's flag).

“How long do we got?”, Prime Minister Crouch asked the pilot, “We seem to have already entered what would be their airspace.”

“About fifteen minutes. We just need a place to land first.”

Never seeing a V-22 Osprey, or any type of aircraft before, The people were scared of it. many Villagers ran in terror, a few Farmers were grabbing bows and arrows and were firing at it, trying to kill what they thought was a Bird Yokai. In Short, it was panic.

The language expert then repeated that praise in several other languages, hoping that the populace would be speaking at least one of these languages.

Seeing several thousand armed samurai all attempting to act as a sort of air traffic control for the airplane, the V-22 began to descend even lower, closer to the ground.

All of the soldiers stood at attention to the prime minister. He saluted them and walked to one of the samurai. His assistants and the press photographer followed. This entire event was being photographed for posterity.

The soft glow from the screen bathed the RADAR operator's face in a green light. He'd had been sitting in front of this screen for what felt like several hours, dozing in and out of consciousness. He was suddenly jolted to alertness by a 'beep' emanating from the screen.

"Sir, new contact. Bearing two-five-seven at two-hundred knots."

The NCO rolled on his swivel chair towards the radarman and panned his eyes over the screen.

"Looks like a chopper." he said, watching the small blip crawl towards the edge.

"Think they're hostile, sir?" The radarman replied, staring blankly at the sweep as it highlighted the helicopter a second time.

The NCO watched the blip as it disappeared from the scope and turned to the radarman.

"Maybe. Send a UAV to intercept."

The radarman silently acknowledged his superior's order and called the UAV operator on the intercom.

Several minutes later, a Global Hawk launched from the carrier deck, rapidly gaining altitude. Reaching a height of 40,000 feet, it cruised toward the intercept point at around 400 mph, a small jet of flame coming from it's tail.

"What is what, Dave?"

"That." Dave said, pointing to one of the samurai.

"Looks like a person."

"No, it doesn't. Look closer."

Jack leaned in and examined the picture, "Zoom in more, I can't see a thing."

"That," he said, pointing to one of the samurai, "what the hell is it."

"Exactly. What the hell is it?"

The pilot looked at the screen for several seconds, shrugged and moved back towards the controls.

"Hell if I know. Best thing to do would be to report it, and by 'it', I mean the Osprey and armed soldiers," Jack said "don't mention that thing."

Ark Angel-class carrier, TSS Resonance, thirty-five miles from Shima Island.

Roughly two hours and forty-five minutes after the Global Hawk returned, the Resonance was positioned thirty-five miles from the coastline and over the horizon. Two UH-60 Blackhawks were prepared and fueled. Several commandos rushed out onto the flight deck and into the 'Hawks. The flight crew closed and disconnected any fuel lines from the helicopters. The pilots were given the green light from the island and headed towards the coastline at a brisk one-hundred fifty miles per hour.

The choppers approached their designated landing zone, marked by an IR flare launched from an orbiting Global Hawk, and quickly touched the ground. Their compliment of special forces released, both 'Hawks gained altitude and returned to the carrier. An F-35B remained on station, at around fifty thousand feet to give air support should the soldiers need it.

OoC: He is the Prime Minister of my nation. We want him well secure. In about 2 years ago we had an assassination attempt on a previous PM (the thing was in 2007 and it revolved around his allergy to almonds I believe).

A V-22 would be able to go these long distances and we wanted these guards as - according to intelligence - there was heavy violence and protection of that scale was said to be needed.

(Commando in NB is a general term referring to what would be their version of the U.S. Marine Corps. They are in no way, shape or form some sort of special forces unit).

Also, I don;'t have 20/20 hindsight so ... yeah.

The Commandos stood aside the samurai. They marched, keeping themselves at attention. Prime Minister Crouch sat on the rickshaw. The assistants walked behind him. They checked their satellite Blackberries - the New Brittonian government paid good money for these devices - while following the people, sending out e-mails and test messages to the press, staff, and friends.

Meanwhile, Jacob reclined and contemplated whether it would be okay to smoke.

The people in the streets of the capital were watching the Imperial Guard escorting the Foreigner to the Imperial Palace. Human and Neko Yokai alike stared at the odd man in his odd style.

While this was happening, across the island, in the territory of Daimyo Sanbaku Shinbei (http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh67/Killerspawns/Samurai_cat_girl_by_tickledpinky.jpg), leader of The Shinbei clan. two mounted scouts discovered the Interlopers that were from the Air Craft Carrier (Not that they knew what the hell a Aircraft Carrier Was) and the odd people coming out of the odd air machines. Both raced off to their mistress and she sent out ten Samurai to capture the invaders and bring them back..........alive or dead.

Odd of course is a subjective term. Just as the native people thought that a white man in a freshly pressed suit is odd, Jacob Crouch thought that a nation of people and cat-people living together - all taken back to the 15th century was strange. Oddness was rather subjective and if you were like the Prime Minister and had a diplomatic background this didn't matter. All that mattered was to get things done, to get down to business.

Immediately following the two 'Hawks dustoff, the squad quietly split into two fireteams and went separate paths, stalking through the forest.

"We're on the ground and commencing recon," reported the lead soldier.

"Affirmative, UAV will remain on station to monitor team progress and track hostiles. Maintain ROE, do not engage unless provoked."

"Roger that, we'll do our best to keep casualties to an absolute minimum."

The leader motioned for his fireteam to go quiet and go low. The five man team approached the treeline and scoped out the landing site, using a direct link with the orbiting Global Hawk. High-res pictures were immediately transmitted to the soldier's HUD, showing positions of troops and the paths their following.

The squad leader turned to his subordinates, whispering, "Four combatants, automatic rifles and grenades, far side."

The commandos nodded and spread out along the treeline, taking cover behind fallen logs and beneath tree roots.

Another branch breaking echoed through the forest.

"Kill your lights, goggles on and safety off."

"Sir, what the ROE--"

"Do it, they're most likely hostile anyway."

The Ten Samurai were on horses with their hooves covered in cloth to keep quiet. Surprise was everything for trying to capture these Invaders.

The Samurai had katanas bows and the deadly naginata as their weapons, incase it became a fight against the invaders. But they did had orders to capture them alive and unharmed........unless the invaders attacked them.

Then they would bring back their heads.

"Nothing here," The lead samurai said to the rest, "They must be hiding, lets report to The Daimyo and come back with more."

Somewhere in Yokai Waters

The GWO had been believed to have been driven out of Yokai, and that they would forget the country forever. This wasn't true.

Despite the agreements with Allanea that the GWO would cease actions against Yokai, the GWO was still going at it. The Directorate of Reconnaissance and Intelligence was sending in Recon troopers and spies, all wearing equipment that wouldn't identify them with the GWO. Off the shore, small inflatable boats were bringing in teams and supplies.

The recon men were to prowl the forests and rural (Though most of the country was rural by GWO standards) areas with their ghille suits, armed with MI-8A2s. The spies were to lie in wait in the cities to take out higher figures. The first step though, was to get the DRI forces on the shores. The ships deploying them were part of the GWO's fleet of Backstabber-class ships; the ships were damn near impossible to detect with the most advanced RADAR systems of the era, and they were painted perfectly to blend in with the water.

On the beach, the RIBs were scraping against the shore. The DRI groups were advancing onto the beach, using thermal scopes to make sure nobody was nearby. Then they faded into the forest, while the spy types took on the role of commoners, to eventually go and hide in towns.
