ooc: this is Chernobyl-Pripyat's puppet. I made a small nation for more variety in RP options, but this won't be annexed or anything but I'll give it support from time to time. it has a maximum population of 6 million, currently at 2.7 million.

Chernogorsk, capital of Chernarus

The President of Chernarus looked over his country from the Government Building. The sun was coming up, something he liked to witness once in a while. In all, it seemed to be like it would be a good day. There was no way h could imagine the events that e wasn't aware of the events that would unfold in the coming day.

Suddenly, once of his cabinet members storms inside his office, with a look of great displeasure on his face.

The President turns to him and says "What's wrong?"

The man replies, slightly winded "Turn on the television."

As he clicks the remote, he sees the images on the television. Terrorists from the Chernorussian movement of the Red Star based in Eastern Chernarus just bombed Zenikov International Airport. From the helicopter footage, it appeared that they had blown the roof and caved it in over the main terminal, which usually has about 300 people in it at all times..

"My god.. how many dead?"

"193 and counting, and a bomb ripped through the runway aswell, but it didn't do anything."

"Any groups claim responsibility?"

"With all due respect, you should already know. The ChDKZ warned us about this.. I never thought that they woul-"

"We need to do something." the President says, slamming his fist on the desk.

"I need to address our nation and others about this, in the mean time, see what our options are."

He began writing something to say later, and would answer any telegrams from foreign nations

Forest miles outside of Veblensk

Inside the woods, the East Chernorussian separatist group responsible for the attack had a base of operations set up. Historically, East Chernarussians are of a different ethnic background, so it was easier to gather nationalistic support from the locals. Of the 7 districts in "East Chernarus", they had full support of 5. The rest were divided on who they should support, and town halls typically bickered over things like this for the past few years.

The "Grand Commander" of the ChDKZ, known to his subordinates as "Ghost", was wanted for a variety of crimes committed during the civil war in the 90's, but somehow managed to elude a WA-sponsored search for all this time. Because the group is spread out, each district is under command by a local warlord, each with their own nickname. He had to go to town today, unfortunately, but running a training camp wasn't an easy task. Veblensk was practically the capital of East Chernarus, so he didn't have to worry about authorities. After getting the food, there was a shipment at the Vratska dockyard from Chernobyl-Pripyat. About a month ago he had sent an order for heavy ammunition, especially for the dozen or so T-72 tanks they had. Aside form that, he'd payed for several thousand small arms from several old stocks that the SRCP government was getting rid of.

He then got up, grabbed his sub machine gun and 3 other partisans and left to do the daily business.

As the president prepared for his statement, his secretary notified him of a tape that had just been delivered. He brought it to the press conference as evidence.

"Good afternoon, my fellow Chernarussians. As you've heard, a terrorist attack claimed the lives of 213 people today. We will hunt down those responsible and bring them to justice. Just minutes ago, I received a tape from an unknown source. After forensics examined it, we were able to conclude it is an official video from the ChDKZ."

He the signals the video and audio technicians to play the tape via the projector.

The opening audio says that it's an official statement from the Chernarussian movement of the Red Star. Footage from random attacks on military outposts are shown, while the leader of the movement talks.

"We, the ChDKZ, claim full responsibility for today's attacks. For too long has the corrupt Government of Chernarus neglected the people of the east."

The footage switches to the city of Veblensk, where many shops and buildings have ChDKZ flags hanging from flag posts, and a rebel truck is unloading food supplies to a local bakery. Afterwards it switches again to the leader of the group. He is standing in front of a BMP-3 that had it's original insignias painted over. It had to have been procured from foreign services, since the Chernarussian Defense Forces didn't have any BMP-3 vehicles.

"As of today we declare independence. By unilateral decision by the people of East Chernarus, we now cut all ties to the old government."

Several days later, a ChDKZ attack on a CDF security outpost was to take place. The attacking force was relatively small; only 20 soldiers plus a Ural truck with a DShKM mounted above the cabin. Additionally, a sniper was in a tree nearby to over watch the attack.

"Black-Shark to Red-Rooster, are you in place?"

"Affirmative, There are 3 by the gate, armed with AK-74's. The man in the tower has a PKM, I think. I'll take him out once you begin the advance. Several targets inside the house, two more patrolling the exterior. They've also got Kalashnikov's. There's an unoccupied Vodnik out front. We'll take it with us on the way out."

Once the operation began, the Ural truck modified with a plow on the fron and mild armor plating sped towards the gate, with the DShKM gunner firing on the 3 guards at the gate. The sniper, meanwhile, had picked off the guard tower and one of the patrolling soldiers on the compound exterior. The gunman inside the truck dismounted, shooting at anyone that wasn't one of their own. They threw grenades into the compound's corridors and into rooms via windows to catch the already off guard security forces by surprise. Once the shooting stopped, they were able to move their wounded into the back of the truck, grab any useful supplies they located and leave, along with stealing the truck they found outside.

Elsewhere along the border, attacks of differing intensity commenced. The revolution had officially began.

Re: National Assistance

Several days ago, following a terrorist attack in my country, a separatist group declared open war on my government. They, unfortunately, have a large support base in that region and arguably better equipped for this kind of conflict via their foreign support base. The seek to create a communist state to the east, and that would not only affect freedom loving people caught on the other side of their so-called "borders", it would cause political turmoil in the region.

My military forces, unfortunately, have proved ineffective in putting down the insurgency and are not well adapted for this kind of situation. We will gladly accept any sort of advisement, and if necessary allow for construction of a base for your forces.

[ooc: any takers? I find it difficult to RP against myself.. the terrain of the east(my "official" nation) is heavily forested and mountainous, and a dockyard lies to the south]

The CDF forces were mobilized within 12 hours to full readiness, and began their advances into East Chernarus. They've had minimal offensive battle training, and NATO training was minimal at best, since the President had only recently started joint training ops. their equipment was mainly surplus Western equipment; Woodland BDU's, PASGT armor and helmets, alongside ALICE gear. Their weapons were still AK-74's and the like, and the BMP was still the main IFV until funds allowed for a full replacement.

The East Chernarussian rebels use a variety of Russian uniforms, normally mixed types, such as Flora[woodland] and Gorod[city]. They usually didn't wear body armor and their spare magazines are usually stored in either 3 or 4 celled magazine pouches or Afghan war era "lifchick"s. The ChDKZ use whatever weapons they can get a hold of, but are usually seen with AK-74's and the older AKM. They don't have many IFV's, so they mostly travel on foot under cover of night or trees. this, however isn't a limiting factor, since they rarely leave their regions to fight the CDF. The main tactic used against the CDF are guerrilla attacks by small raiding parties in areas where they have a terrain advantage. Should an engagement happen in a "regular" setting, they spread out into smaller groups and attack from different positions.

Some bunker in East Chernarus..

A group of men looked over operation maps as a 7th entered the room with some information. The leader of of the rebel movement acknowledged the mans presense and asked him to report.

"What's the status on that weapons shipment?"

"The new rifles will be here in 2 weeks time, but I've had no luck finding cheap antitank rockets. With all that money we received, why don't we spend a bit and procure some advanced systems?"

"Because we need that money to last a long time. Besides, the RPG-7's we have now are effective enough, and easily transportable. How are the field operations moving along?"

"North group have held their ground, and reported 17 casualties thus far. They said they took out a CDF chopper though and a few BMP's. Center group repulsed an attack, but took heavy losses and are being reinforced as we speak with additional fighters and a T-72. South group lost a few kilometers of ground, but now have a better terrain advantage. We also damaged one of their Yak-130's with an Igla launcher."

As the man was dismissed, and was about to leave the bunker, he remembered another report.

"Oh, one of our sniper units bagged 30 CDF soldiers since yesterday, alongside 7 of their officers."

"Seriously? With what rifle?"

"Most with an SVD, some of them were also taken out with a PSOP-equipped AS Val."

"Get the names of that particular unit, then once they're rotated out tell them to report here"

--------------------------

Forest near the border

The CDF had routed the insurgent forces further east, and had since then set up a small forward operations base. Combat patrols had since been sent out to search for fighters that stayed behind alongside weapons caches.

Up in a tree, about 600m from most of the patrols, a sniper in a ghillie suit waited for them to move further up the road. For the past few days, she'd been picking off CDF troops as they moved further inland. Her first few kills were with an old hunting rifle, but the fighters from her town had given her a military sniper rifle before they'd been pushed back. After adjusting her scope, she aimed at the man at the end of the patrol. He was fresh out of school, and had just finished his reserve training just days ago. Time seemed to slow as the bullet cracked through the air and into his helmet. The rest of the patrol froze momentarily, and began moving to cover, while 3 others dragged the now dead soldier. Another soldiers kneecap suddenly exploded as he tried to cross the street to where most of his squad was in cover. The two others that attempted to drag him to cover were both shot in the side where their body armor didn't protect, then the wounded CDF soldier being finished off by a shot to his face. The remaining soldiers couldn't even shoot back, because they couldn't locate the sniper, and at that range it'd be had to hit them, let alone see. She was able to wound the squads machine gunner as he was setting up a position along a hedge row before a BMP showed up to evacuate them. It was once this happened, that it was time to leave back to the rebel lines.

A CDF task force had moved deep into once of the cities on the East Chernarussian border, meeting little resistance. Or so they thought.

The group of armored vehicles halted, and the Platoon commander got on the radio with another unit in the same city.

"Echo-3, this is Echo-1, what's your ETA to town center, over?"

"Echo-1, we are en route, delayed about 5 minutes, do you copy?"

"Copy Echo-3, Echo-2 report status, over?"

"Echo-1, we have not been able to get to city limits, lead tank blew a tread, over"

"Copy, update in 15, over. Echo-4 where are you?"

"Echo-1, we are near the town center.."

As they spoke, a third voice was heard on the radio.

"Welcome to hell."

Suddenly, automatic weapons fire rained down on the unsuspecting CDF soldiers, RPG's came from multiple directions and destroyed most of 1st Company's T-72's and set many BMP's ablaze. The surviving CDF soldiers from 1st Company helplessly shot their rifles randomly until they had empty magazines, reloading and doing more of the same. The ones at the rear retreated into the forest, where they were cut off and surrounded by rebel soldiers, forcing them to surrender their equipment.

Similar ambushes occurred to the other units, with results mimicking the initial attack. Only 4th platoon was able to set up a good defensive position. the Major in charge of the 4th company was screaming over the radio for support, as mortars and rockets fell on their positions. A BMP fired a shell into a room of rebels, killing most of them as they prepared to fire an RPG at a tank.

"HQ, HQ Broken Arrow! I repeat, Broken Arrow! 1st through 3rd are unreachable, rebels everywhere!"

several Su-25's took off and were inbound to support them, but would have to manage to avoid anti-air systems which the rebels had.

--

Traveling with one of the other companies was a film crew from the Global News Network. Both he and the two others had laid low in an ally after the ambush began, trying to avoid stray bullets and ricochets. After most of the CDF troops were forced to pull to a different location, while some who were wounded had been left behind on accident were still laying in the street among their dead squadmates, a group of rebels had emerged from a nearby building and began taking spare ammunition from the dead and looking for any usable equipment. The rebels had found the film crew, questioned them, checked them for weapons and ignored them shortly afterwards. They'd captured the wounded and moved with the rest of their rading teams to continue fighting. The film crew began to broadcast the footage via their truck, which they'd crashed into a fence.

---------------------------------------------

After hearing the reports, the Chernarussian president was furious. He had expected that the operation would be quick, but only 3 days into open conflict, and they had already lost 200+ soldiers, not including the ones currently fighting in Tula, and with no progress. His officers had no idea what they were doing, often taking the soldiers right into known minefields, or the just plain messing up an operation. With elections coming soon, this would just look bad for his administration.

Liberty City, Gibberish America
President Szendrenyi's Office...

General Nikolai Roshankov entered the liveMeeting session with President Szendrenyi along with Chief of the Joint Chief of Staff Ryan Le with important information. The Novistranians had recently abandoned the invasion on Gibberish American territory and funds had been poured in to rebuild the city of Vostok which had been devastated by the Novistranian Army. On the bright side, the economy was jumpstarted by the growing demand for consumer goods and semi-finished materials for the rebuilding effort. In addition, thousands of foreign nationals had flooded into the country for citizenship or employment.

Roshankov, the song of deposed former Novistranian president Viktor, had coem to the USGA as a student and became a citizen after joining the Army. He fell in love with fellow student Maria Faustin and became fluent in two languages. Now, he had the chance to make his father proud.

"Tovarisch Prezidyent, it's good to see you."

"Likewise, General. What's the latest news?"

"Sir, it's about the situation in Eastern Europe. Some rebels in East Chernarus are declaring independence."

"What do we do about it?"

"We'll just have to wait and see. I've ordered out political analysts to take consideration whether we should provide support to the rebels or government."

Back in the bunker, "Ghost" was still going over field reports. His satellite phone rang, and he answered it naturally.

"This is 'Ghost', who am I speaking to?"

"This is 'Kadet', Zapad Brigade."

The field commander was a citizen of Chernobyl-Pripyat, from the OMON unit in Treneska.

"Copy, how's Tula?"

"We killed a lot of them, and we've still got a platoon-sized group cut off from the rest trapped in the city center. My scouts reported that another Company sized group is to my west, but they're not moving."

"What about your casualties? How many did you capture of theirs?"

"I can confirm that we've lost 60 so far, mostly in open areas. It may be higher however."

As he talks, he pokes a dead CDF soldier with the muzzle of his AKS-74, then checks his pockets for anything useful, just finding family photos and some money. Hearing aircraft overhead, he returns to a basement converted into a base, where a lot of rebels are being treated for wounds.

"We've also got more wounded then we can treat here... as for them..We captured 30 so far. One of my subordinates caught a bunch in the woods running away. they took their gear and let them go. Some of the cowards had left their weapons in the street."

"Any information? We need something we can use against their government."

"Nothing we could use. This dead guy I had checked apparently had a class reunion in a few days."

Ghost smirked, as he said "Very funny. Continue to engage them, then call back one they pull out or are wiped out. Ghost out."

Later that morning, a car bomb ripped through a police station in Chernarus.

The personnel at the Naval port worked vigorously, they prepared loading nine T-84 heavy tanks, ten BTR-152, and eleven BRDM-2 inside the carrier vessel that was about to make it's voyage to Chernarus. A group of approximately 2,100 Dauramian Marine and Army soldiers approached also loaded the carrier vessel, the President decided thought maybe this would be enough man power to suppress the rebellion. The soldiers marched their way into the ship like drones, their olive colored uniforms bared the insignia of Daurama, along with their ranks and what unit they were in, they wore a dark shade of olive colored Kevlar vests - Afghan styled to be precise. Their helmets were outdated, East German type helmets with the fish net covering; underneath the helmets they wore their G.I. hats. Most of these soldiers were equipped with AK-74s and M16A1s. These men were ready for battle, in some of the African regions the Daumarian Defense Forces were feared for their superb military tactics and leadership that they earned by reputation during the Daumarian-Zulu Civil War that took place almost twenty year ago. "Pour les personnes de Daurama!", one Captain yelled out in french "We are about to embark and battle on foreign ground, never forget who we are and why we fight! To suppress tyranny! Pour les personnes de Daurama!", he cheered on once more - the vibrant atmosphere was overwhelming, these soldiers were ready for battle. Everything was now loaded, all of the equipment and battle armory that they would require. The carrier began it's journey, it would be a while till it reached it's destination - but they were in no hurry to get there. An Ambassador was sent by jet to meet with the government officials in Chernarus to discuss other matters about the situation, of course he wasn't going alone, assigned to him were ten Dauramian Secret Police officers - these were specially trained soldiers fit for guarding VIP or detaining traitors.

After the CDF's botched assault on Tula, they had pulled back to their main lines on the border. They wanted to plan another attack, but with different tactics, inclusing full air support. Because of the heavy amount of casualties sustained in the 70 hour battle, they were demoralized, and reluctant to go anywhere. Of the 250 Tanks and IFV's they'd had, only about 20 remained, from the company that couldn't enter the city due to a breakdown.

----

Meanwhile, a column of ChDKZ forces moved up a mountain range. They were for the most part Russian, Chechen and Belgian mercenaries. From here, they dug into the top of the height, which was near a road commonly used for supplies. They'd brought a ZU-23 with them, which would come in handy for hitting targets on any of the other peaks that were out of range for effective small arms fire or any helicopters that came along.

"Hilltop, this is Mule, have you secured the height yet?"

A heavily bearded radio operator replied, with a thick Belgian accent

"It's secured, awaiting column."

The President of Chernarus was waiting for a foreign ambassador from Daurama, so they could discuss what their goals were. He's sent a car to the airport, which would pick him up and bring him to the "White House" upon his arrival.

"Yes, immediately. Perhaps the Chernarussian can supply us their Air Force. Patch me through!" said the Captain as he scratched the thick beard on his African chin. The officer tried making contact with the Chernarussian government.

Meanwhile, the ship was slowly approaching Chernarus. The soldiers inside the vessel were eager to fire a few a rounds into one of the rebels, all this waiting has made them quite excited for battle.

"Ah! This must be it!" exclaimed the Ambassador as he looked overhead, observing the ground of the airport as they slowly landed. From what he observed, the airport was surprisingly in good condition considering what has been going on with all the battles and bombings. As the jet landed, the hatch on the side opened up as Chernarussian area entered the interior of the jet. The Ambassador took in a good swiff, "This must be it". The ten officers escorted the Ambassador off the plan, they surrounded the Ambassador like a shield. The Ambassador was about about 72 years old, he's been in the business for quite some time now and as such, his safety was a priority to the officers. Upon seeing the car, one of the officers rushed to open the back door. The Ambassador made his way in, sitting comfortably in the back seat, ten of the Secret Police officers could join so three accompanied the Ambassador to the "white house" while the remaining officers stayed behind.

The coastal radar station detected the ships, and gave them permission to dock. The people were happy that they would be getting assistance, and likewise this boosted the moral of the CDF. A crowd had gathered near the port, waiting to greet the inbound fleet.

Upon arrival at the "White House", the ambassador was escorted to the oval office, where the President, the secretary of state, and the secretary of defense were holding a meeting. He was greeted upon entering and offered refreshments.

"Why are we helping these Eastern European savages? This isn't our conflict." one concerned soldier said with disgust to another soldier as their platoon looked over at the crowd of people. "Shut up," replied the 2nd soldier, "This will further proved our military might you idiot!". As soon as the ship docked, the soldiers were quick to unload all of their vehicles and equipment from the ship, soldiers gathered in formation. They were now under command of the CDF for now, but if there wasn't any progress under the new leadership then the Generals of Daurama would intervene the command.

After they'd gotten the projector to cycle cleanly, the secretary of defense presented a slide show and talked at the same time.

"Several weeks ago the communist party of Chernarus had lost seats in a senate election. Following that, a radical sec of the party, called the Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star broke off from the main party. Keep in mind that the communist party is only in name. Our Governments approval rating was never high in the east, and the ChDKZ has a lot of influence in that region. East Chernarussians are technically a different ethnic group; Most of the country is Bohemian origin, but the east is of Slavic descent"

The slide switches to recent events, such as the airport bombing and security outposts.

"About 2 months ago, there was this incident involving ChDKZ supporters in a rally. The demonstration had turned violent, and police were sent to quell the unrest. Something happened, and our police had ended up killing 3 members, and arresting 14. They demanded that we release them, based on what they claim was an unprovoked attack on their people. When our economy began to drop, they were hit particularly hard. There are a lot of factories tooled towards heavy machinery, and it was no longer viable to keep them in full production."

Another slide switch.

"Then the airport bombing happened. Shortly after, they'd claimed responsibility for the attacks and claim independence from our nation. A week or so passed, then they began a full assault on military and police outposts along the "border". Had it been any other country, this could have been solved, but our military is geared towards self defense operations and supporting others. The Defense Forces are mostly assigned to their regions of origin, thus have little knowledge of operations in mountainous areas."

A slide showing the geography shows, after a brief stutter. Marked on it are various operation movements made by the both the CDF and the ChDKZ.

"At first we were able to make good ground inside the reletively even woodland, but as you get deeper into eastern Chernarus, it gets mountainous and difficult to travel. That's when simple maneuvers became complete slaughters for our men. The attacks on the cities haven't had much effect in the ChDKZ's operational capabilities. We'd take a mile of ground in a city, and by night we would have pulled back double that. Just the other day we had attempted to the this city"

He points a laser pen at the town on the screen

"The city of Tula isn't that large, but they ambushed most of or forces simultaneously. The one of the Companies were completely wiped out, another had lost 70% of it's forces, with only a few escaping. The rest had been captured. They must have killed over 1500 of our soldiers in less then 70 hours. We don't have a number on how many were captured."

The president speaks: "If we can take that city, it will be start to restoring stability."

"As for your troops chain of command." The SoD continued.

"They're cleared to operate on their own, but should inform us of any operations before they execute them."

"I see," the old Ambassador moved forward from his chair trying to observe the screen. "I suggest you assign a few of your best regiments with our troops. The Army unit has been ordered to do some reconnoissance. They should report what they have found."

"I just don't understand why these people would choose such a terrible form of government, I hope this situation does not worsen. I hope it ends swiftly." said the Ambassador as he gleamed deeply into his cup of water, gripping onto the cup tightly.

The Army unit was headed towards the city of Tula, they were on a recon mission so their presence was to remain unnoticed. "Alpha leader, not a sign of any enemy so far." the Sergeant of the Army unit said, he and his men of ten were part of the 5th RECON Unit of the Dauramian Regular Army. "Copy that, if you spot any hostiles - neutralize them." said the Lt. Captain through the small radio unit, the soldiers observed their environment carefully as they continued.

Inside Tula many civilians were returning to their flats to grab stuff before they returned to the refugee camp to the north. Despite emergency services and ChDKZ efforts, many dead still littered the streets. Following the battle that had taken place here, after the CDF pulled back, they had left many vehicles, most of which could be repaired. The captured soldiers provided them with many useful information. After they had surrendered their equipment and were marched out of the city, they'd found artillery codes that they could potentially use against them. Several T-62 tanks were just in need of new tracks or road wheels.

Many patrol teams were sent out into the forest, checking in every 5 minutes over the radio. Expecting a counter attack, the city was being fortified and AP mines would be placed in the city once the civilians left. While most of the "professional" paramilitaries had been called back to base or assigned to different battles, about 300 remained, supported by an odd 3,400 local fighters recruited from the refugee camp or nearby towns. Aside from the main armaments [AK-74, PKM, RPG-7], they had access to SPG-9M recoiless guns, NSV heavy machine guns, AT-14 "Kornet" launchers and a few ZU-23's mounted on Ural trucks.

"HQ, nothing out of the ordinary. Looks like our allies left behind some tools of war, permission to proceed with Operation Viper?", asked the Captain of the 5th RECON team through his walkie talkie. He awaited for his orders, "Negative, take pictures and return to base." Following the orders, a few of the soldiers did not hesitate to take pictures of what they deemed important. The soldiers turned around, heading back to base but soon discovered a few patrol men along the way, obviously they were not allies. One of the soldiers took aim and fired at one of the men out of desperation and fear, another fired a couple shots. "No! What are you two doing!", yelled out the Captain as the two Dauramian soldiers opened fire.

The patrol squad, a five man group, suddenly began to take casualties. The 3 remaining hit the deck, and got on the radio to report the ambush.

"HQ,HQ, this is patrol-7 We are under fire, requesting back up, over"

One of the patrolmen threw a red smoke grenade; not intending it's normal usage, but just because it was what was available. As they pulled back to a sopt that was easier to use as a fighting position, they shot short bursts from their rifles to where the enemy shots had come from. A "combat" patrol was inbound, but there was no word on how soon they would arrive, depending if they took a BMP or walked.

A CDF combat unit laid in wait for a ChDKZ troop column to move into their trap. They placed claymroe mines on the side of the road, and were over watching the road from a nearby hill with an AGS-17 grenade launcher. When the time came, they blew the mines and fired their weapons at the rebels. After a 30 minute [for the most part] one sided battle, the rebels retreated into the woods.

Later on that day, CDF troops attempted to move into the woods to sweep for rebels. ChDKZ snipers were literally everywhere, and began picking off their officers left and right. The CDF could not call in artillery support without risking hitting thier own, who were now scattered around to avoid sniper fire. While under fire, ChDKZ troops moved up by squads, attacking at close range with their rifles, at times using their bayonets. The sound of CDF Mi-24D's could be heard approaching, armed with 57mm rockets. They circled a few times before firing volleys of rockets into the woods. Both sides pulled back to different positions shortly after.

As soon as the red smoke grenade detonate all but 3 of the Dauramian troops ducked to avoid casualties. The three Dauramian kept firing rapid shots from their M16A1s, one Dauramian was hit once on the shoulder by enemy fire and as such he fell back. The second soldier died instantly as he was shot in the head and several times in the chest. The third soldier suffered intense damage by taking several shots on his left leg and suffering a gun shot wound from the stomach. "Fall back! Fall back!" yelled out the Captain.

The remaining patrols checked their ammo, and stayed low. The BTR-80 with the assault team was inbound, and upon arrival pulled in front of the surviving team, while dismounting. the BTR deployed smoke, while the assault team dispersed to engage, taking up firing positions.

Meanwhile, the field commander in Tula was on the radio with the BTR commander, who after talking to him would rewuest additional forces for an attack they expected. Along with the few hundred extra troops, they would get some T-62 and T-72 tanks, and a few Grad launchers.
