The War of The Galaxies (FT-Open)

The Steppe Empire

We know now that in the early years of the Chthonian Era, this galaxy was being watched closely by intelligences greater than any beings in this galaxy and yet as mortal as our own. We know now that as Galactic beings busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinized and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a Scientist with a microscope might scrutinize the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacence We went to and fro over the Milky Way about their little affairs, serene in the assurance of their dominion over this small spinning fragment of Cosmic driftwood which by chance or design, we has inherited out of the dark mystery of Time and Space. Yet across an immense ethereal gulf, minds that to our minds as ours are to the beasts in the jungle, intellects vast, cool and unsympathetic, regarded this galaxy with envious eyes and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.

In the thirty-ninth year of the Chthonian Era came the great disillusionment.

We never deem it important to look at The Tucana Dwarf Galaxy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucana_Dwarf) as a Source of danger.

Hyperborian Extra-Galactic Sensor Observatory Alert

a -6:00 Galactic Time, The ExGal Sensor Observatory detected several explosions of incandescent gas, occurring at regular intervals from The Tucana Dwarf Galaxy. The spectroscope indicates the gas to be hydrogen and moving towards the Milky Way's Alpha Quadrant with enormous velocity. Professor Rasibal of the Observatory at The Tortacia System confirms ExGal's observation, and describes the phenomenon as (quote) like a jet of blue flame shot from a gun (unquote).
