What happened to the GWO-Stoklo war? I am sorry but I never heard of anyone winning. Did it fade away? Just curious.

that was what I was wondering also.

Faded away, only a few theaters still open.

Hardly. My invasion of Stoklomolvi is still ongoing, I just have yet to post in a long time. Don't worry, it will happen.

As for the overall status of the war, eh... probably a draw. A few nations on each side were defeated, a few were victorious, so it kind of balances out.

I'm getting around to invading both of them. D:<

What's the origin of this war that I've been reading about? Was it a world war kind of deal with alliances being dragged into it?

Yes, A couple of alliances did join sides(though they did nothing past that, bunch of pansies)

Well, basically after I was defeated everything kinda went stale. A few of us actually remained constant. It was getting pretty interesting, then died down. I'd say it's been a draw so far.

Nobody really cares about the war any more. It's essentially the Phoney War after the Realish War that was Not A War but May Become A War but will probably be Yet Another Not A War.

Ecmoria, it stems from a long history of rivalry between GWO and me. GWO would yell at all of the socialists, and I would yell at him, and then he would yell back. One day, I got sick of GWO's IC presence so I declared war. To this date, we are still at war, but we're not doing anything. I would glass him, but the political repercussions of doing so would be astoundingly bad [and he ignores nukes for whatever reason].

So technically there are still enemy troops attempting to invade you?

And troops still trying to invade me. Officially, the Stoklomolvi-GWO war is still in full effect, though not as widespread and "Holy Shit" as it was when it started.

I'll give my own explanation too, though Stoklomolvi essentially got it exactly how it went.

The GWO (Me) is a Fascist state hellbent on making the world one big happy Fascist State (Which I'd love to see in RL, but...). Stoklomolvi is a Communist nation. Since the GWO is Fascist Supremacist of sorts, it looks for every reason to curbstomp Communist and other Leftist nations. Since Stoklomolvi is one of these Left-Wing nations, it naturally got pissed and began taking action against it.

One day, the GWO launched a weapons blockade against Afullia, a Comintern (Stoklomolvi's alliance) member. Stoklomolvi declared war on behalf of Comintern, and then the GWO called upon the Imperial Fascist Alliance (Which I run, obviously).

Then a shitload of shit happened, resulting in several nations being invaded, governments destroyed, et cetera. Oddly enough, the GWO and Stoklomolvi are the two nations probably least effected by the war in terms of combat damages.

Know what I'd have loved to see? GWO actually RPing in his own war.

Also, is there anyone actually in the Imperial Fascist Alliance, or has it fallen into a racist stupor?

Interesting, so you both ended up having your allies fight for the most part on your behalf?

So basically you've been fighting a war by proxy? You two are like the US and USSR of the Cold War.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. If that's the case it sucks that everyone else had to die lol.

You're giving both of them far too much credit--GWO's lack of posting stemmed from his unwillingness to lose, not out of any desire for a good RP.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. If that's the case it sucks that everyone else had to die lol.

If that's the case, then they have made quite a well throughout political maneuver, successfully waging a war, without any casualties. All the pluses, few, if any of the negatives. Well done, I applaud your mastery, as I do not believe that the two of you got together and worked this out OOCly, but it just happened. Quite well done.

actually I don't think GWO ever acknowledge his "allies."

You know what though, Leistung?

I have been posting. I'm actually awaiting Stoklomolvi's reply. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=577744&page=3)

So now I'd prefer you to stop accusing me of things that you haven't taken the time to look into. kthx.

Also, stop taking Rykaria and EC's "ebil nazism" out on me. You're reminding me of Ryou with your whole "OMG EBIL NAZIS AND STUFF WTFWTF."

Meh, I lost motivation. But to answer your OOC,

I wouldn't know what your missiles are. All I know is that you're firing missiles at me, and I launched flares with the hopes that your missiles are heat-seaking. In regards to the distances between your petro cities and the coast, I wouldn't know; you don't have any maps with cities labelled on them. Besides, a few miles at Mach 2 would be nothing.

The Sonya class may be slow, but it's not that bad. And your marine boats were never specified as to what they had on them.

MABs are a lot like those PBRs the US used in Vietnam in terms of appearance and armament. However, their weapons can be swapped out, as they're designed to be a quick force that can engage just about any other type of force. Typically, they always have a "Twin Fifty" on the front of the boat and an MG42 on the back. For Brownwater operations and fighting against other small craft, they usually mount HK GMGs or Mk19s on the sides. In cases where air combat is a problem, they can be fitted with smaller SAM batteries, but nothing too special.

As for speed and whatnot, that obviously depends on what munitions they're carrying, et cetera. Unarmed, they can probably maintain about 65 knots in typical ocean water, but mind you, that's before adding weapons and ammo.
