Sarrowquand

For a while now things had been quiet. Public interest in the outside world had dipped to such an extent that little more had happened with foreign powers than old deals ticking over in the background. First Speaker Rebbecca Silinky's agenda for increased involvement in the outside world had seemingly faltered, undermining the stability of the Speaker's party.
Despite the insular atmosphere change still hung poised over the Dominion, there was no denying that the Era of Peace was at an end, those two generations of citizens shell shocked by a period of civil unrest were now making way for a brash new generation. But whilst power was begining to change hands from the hearts and minds of old to new no one could say yet what that change would bring.
And so the four main groups of Speakers vied to engender the new generation with their values whilst behind the scenes the gears of the Grey Bureaucracy silently turned; politicians and bureaucrats plotted over how to break the deadlock of political influence; with things so finely balanced within the Dominion itself the answer seemed to be to look outwards into the wider NS world.
Once again the grey fog of public apathy was begining to lift over the Dominion of Sarrowquand as documentaries and plays of other cultures were promoted and trade delegations assembled. Whilst in the near abroad things began to stir in the other seven of the dominions of the former empire.
