Part One

Introduction
The Iksandrian Military is a large, well-trained army. The modern Military began twenty days after Scolar Visari's - Supreme Leader of The Peoples Republic of Iksandria- rise to power in Iksandria, as their first capable leader. It was started during the Armament of Iksandria. The Armament was massive and perfect enough to create an vast army for The Peoples Republic. Twelve days after the begginning of the arming process, General Adama- Supreme Leader of The Home Defence Legions- was appointed the Commander of the Iksandrian military.

The Iksandrian Legionnaire
Resilient, well trained and well armed, the Legionnaire is a formidable opponent. Growing into a predominately militaristic society, conformity and uniformity are expected of all subjects. Such is the lack of oppurtunity in Iksandria that most young men sign up or are conscripted into the armed forces where they recieve intensive teamwork and weapons training. Resulting in an army of considerable size and resource.

Legionnaire Military Units
Scout
Fastest, but also the least armoured, of all Legionnaires, these lightly armed and equipped "shock troops" move rapidly around and through enemy concentrations to attack their opponents flanks or engage head-on. Using the StA-52 Light Assault Rifle, the goal of every one of these soldiers is to close range with the enemy, allowing them to bring the devastating shotgun (of the LAR) to bear. Occasionly scouts are issued StA-52 SLARS and given sniper duties.
Rifle Legionnaire
Typically armed with light to middle weight weapons, these regular soldiers form the core, and backbone, of the HDL and are used en masse in both assault and defensive encounters.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/legion.jpg
Assault Legionnaire
More powerful than the mainstream Legionnaires, Assault Legionnaires are better protected, better armed and better trained than their peers. They are used to bolster attacks and defend key positions, where their StA-3 SAW Light Machine Gun and deployabe bullet proof shields makes them a dangerous and valuable part of the Iksandrian military.
Bodyguard
Defending only the most important positions and senior officers, Bodyguards are even more dangerous than the Assault Legionnaires. Heavily armed and protected, Bodyguards invariably fight to the death to defend their objective.
Sentry Bot
Sentry Bots are automated weapon platforms. Lightly armoured amd equipped with two machineguns, Sentry Bots are used to patrol key installations where their firepower and ability to hover supply a highly effective defence against enemies.

Military Conscription and Obligation
During the armament, there was a conscription for Iksandrian men to sign up to make the military work. A month after, Visari and Adama agreed to make a conscription only for newborn males. It stated that once male children are born, they are to be tested to state their future body constitution. The tests included: physical structure, brain analysis, and weight. If all tests ran a 90% or higher, that child would have a strong consitution and will automatically be sent to the military, regardless of the parents choice, at a certain age. Children with a medium or weak structure would be denied a conscription and be sent to work in factories, farms, or other major industries. However, the children, denied conscription, could still sign up for the military. But the military obligation only allows the male sex to join, so females are automatically denied.
Because people are conscripted to the military, it does not state wich branch they should join. This means that the parent's and, or, the child can agree to which branch they should join. But this must be notified to the Military, via transmission, by age 8.
The conscription helped the military, every year, an average of 60 to 2 are strong, healthy Helghast teenagers are sent to Army and Air Force. Conscription is also backed by Volunteers. Every year, averages of 30 to 7 volunteers to serve in the military.

Senator Visari's Beliefs and Production
When Senator Visari - Supreme Leader of The Peoples Republic- began the Armament of Iksandria, he wanted to create a powerful, massive, and well-trained army. With the conscription in place, the military is roughly 0.7 percent the growing population of Helghan.
Visari's goals for military production are successfull in many ways, so the Iksandrian Legions grew...in size...training...moral...and leadership.
His Fascist beliefs were also supported when Defence is the Government's priority for Iksandria. With the government funding the military, training is ruthless and brutal. Brutality is the key word for Legion training. The land of Iksandria always supported brutal training, enough to make worse than a battlefield (but fighting safely and unharmed). With the ruthless training installed, Visari strongly thought that when The Legions are deployed into battle, the fighting would be no different than in training camps.
And Visari always chose carefully in who would lead HDL's, and the entire Military itself. He would choose those who had more military knowledge, more intellect and literacy, better personalities, and better mental and physical health. He could not bare seeing Generals and Staff Commanders who poorly lead soldiers into battle, it would not only give a better advantage for enemy soldiers and propaganda, but also it will demoralize Iksandrians and make them fight more ineffectively if they knew they were losing men. So as he chose, the leaders of HDL's were always strong-minded leaders and willing to send troops into battle at any cost.

Demoralization Through Brutality
Legionnaires use propaganda to demoralize enemies, but sometimes demoralization doesn't need posters and loudspeakers. The Legions believe strongly that to reach out and strike fear into enemy soldiers is through sheer brutality. Legionnaires like to use torture and execution - as an example - toward enemy prisoners and then spread the word - especially when enemy high ranking officers are killed.
It is known that if enemy soldiers know about the brutality, they would fear becoming a prisoner of war more than dieing on the battlefied. Driving them to fight to the death - or commit suicide - than surrender. We know that this could happen, so enemies fighting to the death could cause some Legions casualties, but it goes to show how brutal Legionnaires can really get. Enemy attemps to fight to the death - avoiding harsh treatment as a prisoner - benefits the Legions and cause fear, demoralization, and devitalization among the opposition.

The Home Defence Legions
The Legions of Iksamdria are a massively large, brutal, violent, and ruthless force. This branch of military is most chosen by those being conscripted and volunteering Iksandrians. The Legionnairesare a valiant fighting force, trained and taught with the best training in the country. Armored war machines are even more violent than the soldiers. They are commandeered by soldiers, but when faced to face with armor, like the Type-32 Heavy Tank, they will cause fear and havoc among enemy soldiers. The age people are to join the Army is carefully thought out so during their lives of training, it can ensure that they are physically powerful, especially dealing with pain, on the battlefield, and mentally immune to enemy propaganda, extremely loyal, and survive the horrors and reality of war. The Legionnaires are widely feared for their brutality, appearance, intelligence, and strategic power.

The Air Defence Force
The Iksandrian Air Force is not as large as the Army, but they make up for it in brutality and strategic power. The primary aerial armor is the StA-47 fighter. The fighter is fast and agile, making it the perfect opponent in aerial combat. The pilots who begin training start one year before soldiers begin training in the Army. This is because of how long it takes to truly maneuver a plane, but also to make a strong, or even stronger comparisons, to that, of The Home Defence Legions.

Part Two

Weaponry
The Home Defence Legions are huge. Because of this, Iksandrian weapons are mass produced in factories and production lines for speed of manufacture. The result is that there is almost zero individual attention to any particular weapon, but they are all rugged and reliable. This section contains detailed information of Iksandrian weaponry.

StA-22 Machine Pistol
Weight: 1.9 kg
Length: 12.0 in
Cartridge: .45 APC
Magazine capacity: 20 round cylinder

The StA-52 LAR is the standard service rifle for the Home Defence Legions. Equipped with a 3x built-in scope, a reinforced stock and grip, and made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant synthetic materials, the StA-52 is very durable, despite being mass-produced. It has a high rate of fire and a large, 40 round, clip. It is fairly accurate, but can be a challenge to use in long range battles. It is more suited for short to mid range battles. It is mounted with a StA-192 Underslung Tactical Shotgun, making this weapon even more devastating at close range. One downside to the gun is its capability to become jammed. This usually happens if the user is trying to fire whilst reloading the shotgun attachment. It also comes with a modern reflex scope to further help its accuracy. The StA-52 comes equipped with the Iksandrian drum magazine configuration. It is fully or semi-automatic, and was first issued during the great modernisation of the Legions.

StA-3 SAW LMG
Weight: 11.3 kg
Length: 42 in
Cartridge: 7.62x51mm
Magazine capacity: 100 round drum clip
Secondary fire: No
Firing modes: Full-Auto
Rate of fire: 875 rpm
Effective range: 1100 m
Sights: Red dot sight
The StA-3 "Stova" LMG is the basic Squad Automatic Weapon of the Iksandrian Home Defence Legions, equipped with a sturdy stock, revolving inner barrel, armored outer barrel, and tripod, making it versatile in all weather conditions. It's best fired in a crouched or prone postition.
The Machine Gun is Full-Automatic only, and can fire Type-86 AP rounds for use against aircraft and light-vehicles. The 100 round drum magazine provides this weapon with hefty amounts of ammo to burn, it doesn't require thermal safety like many machine guns do, allowing the wielder to fire continuously until all rounds are depleted from the cartridge. Its above-average accuracy allows the wielder to engage even long range enemies with a withering hail of bullets.

StA-18 Grenade Launcher
Weight: 5.3 kg
Length: 22.2 in
Cartridge: Numerous grenade types
Magazine capacity: 8 round drum clip
Secondary fire: No
Firing modes: Semi-auto
Rate of fire: N/A
Effective range: 375 m
Sights: Built-in reflex sight
The StA-18 GL is a lightweight, semi-automatic, 8-shot grenade launcher.
It was developed when the Home Defence Legions saw that they needed a lightweight, short to medium range grenade launcher. It is a relatively new addition to the Legions' armouries but has been combat tested in clashes with armed dissidents in the rural areas of Iksandria. It is a multiple-shot weapon, intended to significantly increase a small squad's firepower when compared to traditional hand thown grenades. The StA-18 is designed to be simple, rugged and reliable. It uses the well-proven revolver principle to achieve a high rate of accurate fire which can be rapidly brought to bear on a target. A variety of rounds such as HE, HEAT, chemical-gas or incendiary can be loaded and fired at a rate of one per second; the cylinder can be loaded or unloaded rapidly to maintain a high rate of fire. Although intended primarily for offensive/defensive use with high-explosive rounds, with appropriate ammunition the launcher is suitable for anti-riot and other security operations, making it a common sight in the hands of the Public Security Forces.

StA-52 SLAR Sniper Rifle
Weight: 6 kg
Length: 33.9 in
Cartridge: 8.6x70mm
Magazine capacity: 6 round drum clip
Secondary fire: No
Firing modes: Semi-auto
Rate of fire: N/A
Effective range: 1,100 m
Sights: Various detachable optical sights
The StA-52 Sniper Variant is equipped with a collapsible stock, flash suppressor and an all-weather, long range scope capable of zooming in for pinpoint accuracy. The armor piercing rounds fired by the SLAR can penetrate through multiple targets. Legionary snipers keep this in mind at all times, and are trained to always be aware of what is behind their target.
The weapons scope glows with an orange tint, which aids the wielder in spotting targets during rain, sand storms, snow or at night. Unfortunately, the scope is light sensitive, and too much light may cause a glare, or blinding effect in the lens. Despite this minor flaw however, the sniper scope allows pinpoint accuracy over long distances.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/slar.jpg

StA-90 Squad Cannon
Weight: 15.7 kg
Length: 50.4 in
Cartridge: Numerous 84 mm shells
Magazine capacity: 6 shells
Secondary fire: 2 shot-burst
Firing modes: Semi-auto, 2-shot burst
Rate of fire: N/A
Effective range: 500 m
Sights: 3x optical scope
An uncommon weapon used mainly by Assault Legionnaires, the Squad Cannon is capable of taking out tanks, stationary weapons, and heavy fortifications. The StA-90 has a waist-strap to keep recoil as low as possible, also features dual recoiling barrels. The explosive rounds are travel extremely quickly, even fast moving ground targets cannot escape the shot; thus, even at long ranges, leading shouldn't be necessary. The Squad Cannon has major advantages over most grenade launchers due to the fact that the explosive shells fire straight - and are not arched. The secondary fire fires both barrels simultaneously. While rather inaccurate due to the massive recoil, two rounds can be enough to take down most heavy tanks, or to completely annihilate a squad.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/squadcannon.jpg

StA-01 Combat Gladius
Weight: 1.4 kg
Blade Length: 28 in
The StA-01 is the combat knife issues to all Legionnaires, however it more resembles a short sword. Made of laser cut, Black Kalgard coated, forged titanium, it can peirce most types of Kevlar in single thrust. Stabbing is the main technique Legionnaires are trained in, as stabbing wounds, especially in the abdominal area, are almost always deadly. However, the StA-01, being double-edged and fairly heavy, is sometimes used for cutting or slashing. The StA-01 is sheathed in a scabbard mounted on a belt or shoulder strap.

High Explosive Fragmentation Grenade
The HE grenade is capable of being thrown, rolled, and bounced of walls; the grenade is a five-second, timed explosive, which upon detonation, throws small clusters of shrapnel up to eighteen feet.

Smoke Grenade
The Smoke Grenade is used for signalling and screening purposes. The grenade produces a strong, thick white smoke screen that lasts 130-180 seconds. The Smoke Grenade contains a hydrochloric filler to produce the smoke. Though, consequently, the smoke is slightly toxic and can cause irritance to the eyes, throat and lungs if exposed to the smoke for a prolonged amount of time. Thankfully, Legionnaires wear gas masks.

War Machines

StA-6 IFV
Type: Infantry fighting vehicle
Weight: 31.5 tonnes
Length: 8.4 m
Width: 4.3 m
Height: 3.1 m
Crew: 3 + 8 passengers
Weaponry: 30mm StA-47 autocannon, 7.62x51mm StA-3 LMG, Smoke-grenade launchers
Speed: 70 km/h
The StA-6 IFV, being a brand-new addition to the Legions armouries, incorporates a number of state-of-the-art technologies. The most obvious of these is ability to flexibly mount different armour for different situations. Another feature is the compact, one-piece crew cabin that enables direct crew interaction and minimizes the protected volume. The cabin is air conditioned, NBC-proof with internal nuclear and chemical sensors and has a fire suppressing system using non-toxic agents. The engine compartment has its own fire extinguishing system. One measure to achieve the one-piece cabin is the use of an unmanned turret. There is ample room to fit a full squad of Legionnaires (8 men) in the back, making the StA-6 the primary IFV of the Legions.

StA-65 AA Tank
Type: Self-propelled anti-aircraft gun
Weight: 19 tonnes
Length: 6.5 m
Width: 3.2 m
Height: 2.6 m, 3.5m with radar elevated
Crew: 4
Weaponry: 4 x StA-46 23mm autocannons
Speed: 50 km/h
The radar-guided StA-65, with its four 23mm autocannons, has proven to be an extremely effective weapon against enemy attack aircraft and helicopters under every weather and light condition. It has a very high rate and accuracy of fire, as well as the capability for each of the four autocannons to fire its own type of projectile from separate belts. the StA-65 is also deadly for enemy light armoured vehicles, infantry and firing points as an infantry-support vehicle. With its high rate of accurate fire, it can even neutralize tanks by destroying their gun sights, radio antennas, or other vulnerable parts.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/aatank.jpg

The StA-101 is capable of firing both guided and unguided projectiles to a distance of up to 42 km. It is a very mobile unit, thus well suited for the so called shoot-and-scoot tactic: it can fire its rockets very rapidly and immediately move away to avoid the counter-battery fire. Its 30-barrel MRL can very rapidly annihiliate anything within its range, including lighter tanks, bunkers and firing positions, light vehichles and even whole platoons of infantry when firing incendiary rockets.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/mrl.jpg

The StA-11 is a highly advanced main battle tank that has recently been firlded by the Home Defence Legions. Full-scale mass-production has recenty started, finally giving the Home Defence Legions a MBT of widespread availability. The tank is equipped with an active laser defense system. The laser warning receiver can determine the location of an attacking enemy tank, while the high-powered laser dazzler can temporarily blind the enemy's optics. It can also be used as a secure communications device.
http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww282/uzibat_photo/mbt.jpg

StA-77 Heavy Landing Craft

((OOC: Jet bikes? I presume you're in the FT (Future Tech) category then. Jet bikes are extremely inefficient anyways, as they can't carry as many munitions, can't go as fast (The pilot would split open at a high enough speed), and wouldn't be able to carry half-decent RADAR or missiles. Also, to send an 84mm shell flying straight, that requires a larger shell, meaning more recoil (More than an infantryman can bear in this case) and much more weight. 84mm isn't enough to destroy a modern tank, either, unless you score several hits in a vulnerable spot.))

I'd recommend replacing the 84mm cannon with a recoilless rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Gustav_recoilless_rifle).

They're both 84mm...

besides, the cannon is definitely more accurate in this case.

An individual soldier can actually handle a recoilless rifle, but would have no chance of firing an 84mm cannon using just a tripod or bipod mount. It would need a vehicle mount to deal with the recoil. The largest man-portable 'cannons' actually used were anti-tank rifles, which generally fired 20mm (or smaller) rounds.
Of course, if he's using some kind of futuristic powered armor, then he could get away with the cannon.

OOC: I hate to say it but you squad cannon is not going to be high veloctiy.

this (http://www.jaegerplatoon.net/88ItK37_2.jpg) is what a high veloctiy 80-90mm class weapon looks like.

The only man portable 84mm would be the carl gustav recoiless gun which is low velocity.

You might be able to get away with a 20mm weapon but i woudl expect such a weapon to be considerably heavier.

Ahh you see, i did actually think of that one :D
The Squad Cannon is mainly used by the Assault Legionnaires, which are equipped with semi-powered armour, not on the same level as most sci-fi, but it does give them the strength and durability needed to overcome heavily defended positions. And also the strength to carry weapons powerful enough to aid them in their task.
