I'm afraid you misunderstood us.
All of the weapons that we create are co-developed with our government. Through the contract we have, no weapons can go on sale until they have been used for 5 years. It has only been four, but because money is needed for the war effort, they are putting it up for a small amount of time, a year early. It is not being discontinued in two months, that is just when it is being temporarily taken off the market. It will go back on in about a year, and will still be manufactured for at least another five.
Also, production rights are not available, as the weapon is still partially owned by our government.
