Kedoshim

The Peoples Republic of Kedoshim has announced two contracts for defence corperations. The contracts will be given after the company has sent in full statistics and lineart of the product. The Peoples Republic of Kedoshim does not believe in going with the lowest bidder, but in co-operating with the company who produces the best product for the nations defence.

The first contract We our offering is for a convoy esscort gun truck. We are asking for a six by six drive configuration but are willing to allow what ever designs possible as to let the best product shine through. How ever, It most be up-armored and it must have at least two machine guns .50 caliber and under or one that is a higher caliber then .5 inches.

The second contract we offer is to establish an assualt rifle of our own. The designs are open to what you can think of and mass produce. The only requirement is that it is chambered in the 8X57 mauser round.

Goodluck to all who wish to land the contract and thank you for your assistance in this matter,

The Chairman of the Kedoshim Defence Department,
Joseph Lancengrad

If you are looking for an assault rifle, the ACR-1 is a perfect choice. Although it costs 1-2 thousand USD more than an m16, it is a far superior weapon. Being used as the primary weapon of the Gordonopian military, used in several units of the Mastedon Lands, and being tested by several other countries, it has been proven in combat time and time again. It can be chambered for the 8X57 for about 50 USD extra.

We thank you for your interest in the contract. We do understand that the ACR-1 is a reliable weapons system and you do have full specifications for it, but you lack the lineart/blue print for the weapon itself. If you can provide the lineart and their are no other offers we will gladly give your company the contract.

Sincerely,
The Chairman of the Kedoshim Defence Department,

Re: Defence Contracts

For the first proposal, we offer the UV-2313C, which can be fitted with our MG-15 15x124mm heavy machine gun, a Mk.19 40mm automatic grenade launcher, or our GL-10 25x60mm automatic grenade launcher. It is uparmored, featuring cage armor and up to 76.2mm of Tensylon polyethylene-composite armor with spall lining. It is a large 6x6 vehicle, and can carry up to 2.236 tonnes of cargo. Two escorts can be seated alongside the driver in the front of the cabin, providing additional fire support in the event of an ambush.
For the second contract, while we do not yet offer an 8x57mm rifle, we can design one. Would you prefer bullpup, which reduces length and weight or allows increased muzzle velocity but prevents development of a true light machine gun (as opposed to an inaccurate automatic rifle) from the same weapon, or a more conventional set-up? Do you expect most fighting to occur in forests or cities, in which combat tends to stay at relatively close ranges (200-300m), or do you expect to need to fight in open country a lot (and would thus need longer-range weapons)?
Feel free to peruse the catalog of products we export (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=577616).

OOC: UG, you're going to rechamber a 5.56x45mm rifle into an 8x57mm rifle? And for just $50? I don't think it would turn out well, especially for just $50 - you'd need to change the barrel, the action, almost all of the gun itself in order to accommodate larger bullets, and $50 extra probably won't come close to covering it.

M.A.C- 56 5.56x45NATO Series Assault Rifles

http://i36.tinypic.com/k9uez7.png

Basically, the M.A.C-56 is an improved, lightened and refined SIG SG-550 series rifle manufactured under license in Anghele. The M.A.C-56 uses the same gas operated system, with gas piston removably attached to the bolt carrier, and with rotating bolt with two massive lugs. The recoil spring is located around the gas piston rod, above the barrel, and the bolt carrier attached to the gas piston rod by the mean of removable charging handle. The gas port has gas regulator with two different open and one closed position (latter for firing rifle grenades).

The receiver of all M.A.C-5X series guns is made from stamped steel which makes it very resistant and has two major parts, upper and lower, which are connected by pushpins. The barrel is screwed into the upper receiver.Corrosion issues with the Sig 55X line of rifles have been addressed in the M.A.C-56 and all metal parts are now coated with a super corosion resistant Maritime Finish. The trigger unit has a safety/fire selector switch on the left side of the receiver, with 3 settings: safe, semi-auto, full-auto.If desired, additional module could be installed in the trigger mechanism to allow 2/3-rounds burst mode. Rear sights are drum-type or carrying handle integrated red-dot sights (like those found on Heckler-Koch rifles). On certain current production models rear sight is replaced with full-length Picatinny style rail with folding back-up reat sight.

The M.A.C-56 has muzzle compensator/flash hider of NATO-standard diameter, so it is possible to launch rifle grenades from the muzzle and fit a sound suppressor.

The M.A.C-56 can be fitted with detachable folding bipods under the handguard, and is issued with side-folding, skeletonized polymer buttstock. Every rifle of M.A.C-56 family can be fitted with proprietary, quick detachable scope mount, although current production rifles are usually fitted with one or more picatinny rails. Export versions can be equipped with commercial telescope sights, ACOG or "red dot" sights, depending on customer preferences. The M.A.C-56 also can be fitted with bayonet. Standard magazine capacity M.A.C-56 rifles is 30 rounds.

Standard magazines are made of polymer can be clamped together for ease of carry, using the magazine studs on the side of the magazine walls.Further variants such as a Kurz (compact) model a mid-size battle rifle in 7.62 and a sniper rifle are being developed as well as a machine gun and 30/40mm grenade launching module.

Asgarn 12.7x99mm Heavy Machine Gun

PRODUCTION VERSION : http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/3856/50bmgasganrha1.png

The Asgarn .50 BMG heavy machine gun is belt-fed, air-cooled machine weapon capable of semi-automatic and automatic fire. The Asgarn fires from a closed bolt at all times, and uses a short-recoil operated action with a vertically sliding locking block, which rises up to lock the bolt to the barrel extension, and drops down on recoil to unlock the bolt from the barrel. It also has a bolt accelerator, made in the form of a lever located at the bottom of the receiver. Upon recoil, once the barrel is unlocked from the bolt, it strikes the accelerator, so the kinetic energy of the recoiling barrel is quickly transmitted to the bolt, improving the reliability of the weapon.
It features a semi-direct gas-impingement system which by turning the gas plug from 1 to 6 increases and decreases the rate of fire of the machine gun by taking exiting gas from the barrel while firing and chanelling it to the bolt through reinforced gas tube, the gas plug system is also suitable (as seen on FN FAL´s) to increase reliability in extremely cold weather.

Barrels are screwed into the barrel extension and are not quick-detachable on standard Asgarn weapons; furthermore, once the barrel is installed in the weapon, the headspace must be adjusted prior to firing, or the weapon may fail to fire or produce a serious jam.The rear part of the barrel is enclosed in a short, tubular, barrel jacket with cooling slots, while the front part is fluted. The back of the receiver houses a heavily reinforced bolt buffer, and a special system of two additional buffers are used to soften the movement of the heavy barrel. On infantry guns, the cocking handle is installed on the right side of the weapon, but slots are made on both sides of the receiver for tank installations which may require a left-side cocking handle.

Asgarn machine guns use a disintegrating linked steel belt, with the feed switchable from one side to the other through the re-installation of certain parts in the feed unit. The belt feed is of the two stage type – every cartridge is first withdrawn from the belt toward the rear by the pivoting extractor lever, attached to the bolt. Once the cartridge is clear of the belt, it is lowered into a T-slot cut into the bolt face, and pushed forward into the barrel. Spent cartridge cases are forced down the T-slot and out of the weapon through an opening at the bottom of the receiver by the following cartridges, or by the pivoting belt extractor lever (for the last cartridge case). A rotary switch is used to select the track for left or right side feed.

Since the gun fires from a closed bolt, it has a separate firing pin, powered by its own spring, and hosted inside the bolt along with the sear and cocking lever. Upon the recoil stroke of the bolt, the cocking lever pulls the firing pin back until it is engaged by the sear. Once the bolt is fully in battery (locked closed), a pull on the trigger raises the trigger bar so it acts on the sear and releases the firing pin. The standard firing controls consist of a push-type thumb trigger and sear release buttons located between the dual spade grips. Alternatively, an electric solenoid trigger can be installed for mounted vehicle applications.

The Asgarn has an unusual method of providing semi-automatic fire – it has a bolt latch, which locks the bolt to the bolt buffer in the open position after each shot. Therefore, if gun is fired in semi-automatic mode (single shots), for each shot the operator must first release the bolt forward by pressing the bolt latch release, located next to the thumb trigger (as the gun fires from a closed bolt). After the bolt is released and the gun is loaded, the operator may push the trigger to fire a single bullet. If the automatic mode is desired, the bolt latch must be turned off and locked by turning its lock to the left. In this position it will not engage the bolt and the gun will fire continuously as long as the trigger is pressed. Asgarn heavy machine guns feature, among other items, an additional manual safety located next to the trigger.

Standard sights consist of a Hensoldt Optical Sight with 7.5x augmentation. Optionally, folding blade front and frame-type rear sights can be mounted. In this case the rear sight is mounted on the receiver, the front sight is located at the front of the receiver and protected by an arc-shaped sight protector. Additionally, various types of other telescopic and night sights can be installed using appropriate mountings.

OOC:By the way,why did you choose the 8x57 Mauser caliber? You do know that using that caliber in an automatic weapon will render it almost useless in fully automatic fire due to massive amounts of recoil and muzzle jump, and also that most parts will have to be reinforced (hence more expensive) to withstand the beating of such caliber?Or else you will have to buy new rifles every 3 to 5 years due to metal fading issues. And to top as a growing nation, you are choosing an expensive cartridge to purchase in the orders of millions (which is the number the military consumes) and also, almost no nation in the rest of the world wil be using that cartridge in their assault rifles, limiting their versatility and making them harder to sell once you decide to do so.

Of course,at M.A.C | Defense we won´t have any problems in producing our fine rifles for you in that caliber.

The GWOMED would like to offer the MI-8A2 Modular Assault Weapon for consideration. The weapon features a completely modular system; a soldier can change the role (I.e., sniper to machine gunner, rifle to SMG-like CQC module) as well as the caliber through some simple swapping of parts.

The MI-8A2 takes on the XM8 appearance, as it is simple to operate and easy to modify.

Pictures ((OOC: Property of world.guns.ru. YES, I BASED THE GUN OFF THE XM8. WHOOPDEE DOO.)):

Basic Configuration (http://world.guns.ru/assault/xm8.jpg)
LMG Configuration (Normally, C-MAGs are used in the MG version) (http://world.guns.ru/assault/xm8-ar.jpg)
Designated Marksman Configuration (http://world.guns.ru/assault/xm8-s.jpg)
Compact Configuration (http://world.guns.ru/assault/xm8-c.jpg)

The MI-8A2 has been certified to fire up to 12.7mm rounds without much gunsmithing, though shell length plays a major role in what the weapon can fire. The price is a total of 1,700 USD per kit.

When I was thinking of the gun i wanted two calibers came to mind. 8X57 and 7.62X54R. They're cheap and pack a punch for one. I never said I wanted a fully automatic weapon, I would actually prefer a semi-automatic firearm, mostly in part of its accuracy compared to fully automatic fire

Upon seeing your requirements, we believe we have a weapon that meets said criteria. The KV-8 [Kozantsev-Vintovka-8mm] is a select-fire capable light weight battle rifle, available in a variety of calibers. It's a gas operated weapon, utilizing a tilting bolt similar to that of the SKS and SVT-38/40. The rifle is constructed of high-quality alloys used in aircraft cannons, giving in an extended service length and competitive accuracy with proper accessories.

The KV-8 currently has the following customizable options;

- The AKS-74 style folding stock can be replaced with either a solid or folding stock designed to the end client's specifications, allowing an ergonomic rifle to be produced.

-Olive-drab glass-filled polymer foregrip's may be replaced with either black or tan colored units, though a camouflage version is under research.

- Optional 60 round drums are available[for 7.62 NATO and 7.92 rifles only]

-ergonomic pistol grip is availible, and may be fitted per customers request.

Dear Sir,

It is with great delight that I receive news of your choice of the E7-8 rifle to fulfil your requirement.

Should you wish it I can guarantee that the E7-8 model rifle will be solely available to Kedoshim. Other similar rifles in other calibres but using the same basic operating mechanism (based on our S7 series service rifle) will be available to other nations but the 8mm Mauser version will be unique to you. We are also quite happy for you to modify the design as you see fit provided you let our engineer team know so we can ensure the safe and reliable operation of any modified examples.

My thanks for choosing Crookfur Arms for this contract and i look forward to hearing what sort of quantities we can assist you with.

We would indeed like the 8mm mauser variant be solely available to Kedoshim. The amount of rifles currently need is 800,000 which would cost 1.6 billion dollars. Also we would like 3 million extra magazines to increase are soilders load-out to six magazines each, total cost of extra magazines would be 30 million. 1.63 billion dollars have been wire transfered to your acount.

We will be purchasing more to come as we are increasing our area of recruitment. Once again congratulations on the contract. May your business florish.
