Sentient Droids: a Dream for any droid-builder. The idea of Sentient droids was a Business dream also. A Company that had the rights of Building a Army of Sentient Battle Droids would out do any Cloners as Sentient Droid could think and act Independently then most Droid (even through they would still have to fallow orders).

Astral-Tech saw the idea of Sentient droids as one that would make their Company richer then any in the Universe. the Three Marquis saw the idea of it like striking a Platinum Mine and dreamed of riches far greater then what they had.

One on the other hand saw another plan for them.

Sakura Shingigami was that one. "Knowing that The Threat of facing Sentient Machines, The Galaxy would be bowing to any Demands The Hyperborians will make." She said to her Master.....the Dark Lady of The Sith; Darth Ecliptica.

"Of Course," Ecliptica said, "These Sentient Droids would be a asset to our plans." Sakura soon looked up at Ecliptica. "There is one problem with that, Mistress," She said, "The Current owners of those Droids, The Galactic Federation of Anagonia." Sakura knew that The Khanate would never go along with the idea. "Then the Time has some then," Ecliptica said. "Astral-Tech Corp will rise as a power under you, My Dark Acolyte."

Sakura Bowed again, for she was a Dark Jedi, one of Ecliptica's Dark Acolytes, who was now one of the Marquis of Astral-Tech.

The time was near.

OOC: the War will start soon enough Astral-Tech Corp vs Anagonia.

OOC:

Had this idea long ago. Formed from a b-1 and b-2 battle droid frame in FT context. Allows uncanny imagination and role play. Terminators are obsolete.

Also, will reply tomorrow. Bed now for work.

And yes, they are *currently* being used and have been used in past RP's. :D

Training Arena, Baltor

Kimberli Aldon was in a duel, Organic against Machine. Her Opponent was a killer machine that was well known to all: a Kath War Droid. This one armed with a lightsaber.

Kimberli knew how to fight in a Lightsaber duel, since she was a Cimmarian Samurai, unlike her Droid opponent, she had the force on her side. Of course so did The Jedi in The Great Sith War, and The Kath War Droids killed many Jedi Knight.

The Droid soon swept it's lightsaber in a arc to strike Kimberli, only for her to block it. The Cimmarian soon did a Round House Kick, knocking The Droid off its feet. Soon Kimberli drove her lightsaber through the head of The Droid, ending it.

These Droids were getting too easy to destroy. Something the Hyperborian Army would not want in facing The Jedi should Ayame Decide on taking on The Rebellion again. but Soon, The Kath War Droids would be better perfected soon.

Kimberli was Human-Like, Long Blond lock, Blue Eyes and a very Human-like face and Body. But It ended with her Toes, only Three Toes were what are on The Pangaean Feet, Five Finger-like Talons, Fin like ears and her Cat-like eyes showed that She was not a Mammal, but for in The lines of a Saurian, Warm-blooded like her Theropod Ancestors.

"Master Aldon," a B1 Battle Droid said as it came in, "Orders from the Marquis Sakura." Kimberli turned to the Battle Droid, It was hard when she was training to be a Full Samurai, but helping train the Organic Militia that was The Security Force for The Headquarters of Astral-Tech was not something for a Warrior. She sighed as she took The Scroll with the Orders.

"Orders to lead the Droid Forces?" She asked her self, wondering what in The Heavens was going on.

Temple of the Orders - Planet Novar - Galactic Federation of Anagonia

The B-2 Super Battle Droid took up a block position as it acted far from unintelligent parameters. Before it, a B-1 Battle Droid stanced in an offensive position to strike. The two concentrated on each other as they started to walk in circles, slowly, their metallic feet clinking on the hard metal surface of the Temple floor. The head of the B-2 slowly rose from the protection of its battle position, neck extending to allow the head to swivel and observe the environment. It dwarfed he smaller version of itself, even its large metallic arms served as a reminder of the superiority. It was a sight to see, however, knowing that it would not attack knowing the opponent it faced.

Finally the two met in a swift movement. The smaller B-1 striking hard against the blocking arm plate of the larger B-2, knocking it over and forcing it on the ground. Without hesitation, the B-1 placed its foot down upon the large chest of the B-2 only to have its leg grappled by the stronger arm of the B-2. The smaller managed to strike a key junction on the B-2's arm, forcing the grip to loosen as three strikes from its free leg forced the B-2 into submission. After a few minutes, the two grasped hands and the B-1 helped the B-2 up. They both nodded towards each other.

"Still I have much to learn," Nemesis stated in the cold emotionless tone of his B-2 frame. Prometheus merely patted metal hand against metal shoulder in a show of friendship, "You will continue to evolve, just as I have."

Both Droidekans stood side by side as they neared the exit to the sparring room. The Temple was a wonderful place for all species, including non-organics, to achieve a further understanding of combat techniques. Normally a Sith or Jedi Master would attend to the matches. However, Prometheus having such a high position in Government Affairs had requested that the bought be a personal affair between Nemesis and himself. A request that was willingly obliged to. The duo entered the long corridor as species of all types passed them by, usually tourists from Anagonia's outer worlds. A few recognized Prometheus and his bronze metallic coating on his B-1 frame, while others recognized Nemesis' insignia on the right side of the heavy-set chest. They happily responded back to greetings while continuing to discuss matters that were important to them.

Eventually they reached the Hanger area and the two set to to depart their separate ways. Nemesis holding back Prometheus for a moment as he pondered something, his neck extended and his elongated head tilted. "Did you hear about the rumors?" Prometheus nodded, "Every Droidekan within three systems has." Nemesis lowered his gaze, "I remember back in my pirate dealings the effects of enslavement upon a species. Do you think this rumor has any warrant?"

For a long moment Prometheus gazed around the hanger, leaving Nemesis to ponder and calculate the next line of conversation. He observed craft taking off and landing in an orderly fashion, making an audible sigh that was more for effect than actual instinct. "I do not know, Nemesis. But I intend to find out once I leave here." Nemesis, apparently satisfied, nodded. "I will investigate here as well. Perhaps we will get a chance to compare our results." Prometheus shook Nemesis hand, "Perhaps."

Nemesis observed Prometheus' departure onto his personal shuttle, thinking on the rumor that had been circulating the past few days. Someone evidently believed that the Droidekan Race was in danger of coming under enslavement by outside forces. This had never happened in the many thousands of years of Droidekan existence. No one knew how to react, or how to take the threats. They just believed it impossible. Nemesis, however, did not. He turned to leave the hanger, desiring to approach a friend concerning the matter.

Balkanan

Kimberli's Starfighter dropped out of Hyperspace at this Military Outpost that was owned by Astral-Tech. Balkanan was one of The Military bases of The Droid Army that Astral-Tech had.

When Pirates started coming in to The Khanate, many Shipping Companies soon started arming them selves to better defend them selves from attacking Pirates. CelestialShipping, a Branch of Astral-Tech, did better, started forming a Fleet to take on The pirates in battle. Astral-Tech soon started building it's own Army of Battle Droids later, to handle 'Business matters' by armed force, as was The Hyperborian way of Business.

Now, Astral-Tech had a Military rivaled only by The Hyperborian Khanate Armed Forces and that of The Galactic Empire. now a part of it was massing for a Invasion.

One Subjugator Class heavy cruiser, 3 Lucrehulk-Class Droid Control Ships, 20 Munificent Class Star Frigates, 10 Lucrehulk Class Battleships and 10 Providence Class Carrier/Destroyers along with 700 Droid Tri-Fighters, 300 Vulture Droids and 300 TIE/D Droid Starfighters

The Ground Force was made up of 20,000 B1 Battle Droids, 40,000 B2 Battle Droids, 3,000 Droidekas, 2,000 BL-Series Battle Legionnaires, 1,000 phase III Dark Troopers, 800 Battle Droid Assassins, 8,000 MagnaGuards and 50,000 Hyperborian Infantry Droids. making the number of Infantry over 135,800 Infantry with 200 NR-N99 Persuader Class Droid Enforcers, 100 IG-226 Hailfire Class Droid Tanks, 40 OG-9 Homing Spider Droids, 120 Octuptarra combat tri-droids, 200 XR-85 tank droids and 2,000 Heavy Missie Platforms (Droid Gunships). This was the Force that would be used in the battle to come.

Kimberli was to lead this force into battle against a whole world full of enemy forces.

As she landed her Fighter in her Flag Ship, The Saber Rider, she knew that war was coming.

Soon The Fleet jumped into Hyper Space.

Federation Frontier

The Acclamator-I Class Frigate (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=38&page=1#116) exited hyperspace after traveling from its original starting point towards the Core of the Federation. The ship, outfitted for military resupply runs to Frontier worlds, was one amongst many that would make this same trip millions of times a standard year. Frontier planets provided the Federation with benefits ranging from mining and farming outposts to extravagant vacation worlds dependent on tourism and trading hubs for the edge of frontier space to foreign powers outside federation influence. These worlds were protected by a minor military presence usually supported by an in-system Star Base for trading worlds and military outpost on the planets for the tourist and farming worlds. Sometimes these planets supported both, while at other times costs outweighed the added luxury of having the duo of defensive installations.

One such world was Omicron Azan, situated near the edge of federation space and lying within the Imperial Domain of Drekamythia. Omicron Azan was unique in the aspect that it had grown from a minor farming world to over the course of a few decades a colony world supported by four star systems situated nearby. It exported many surplus minerals from the newly established mining facilities and produce from the already founded farming industry to these systems while gaining a generous tourist surplus during the planets temperate seasons. The Federation Military had established a Starbase in the Omicron Star System to provide the various assets defending the sector and maintain a presence in the midst of a high population hub in the frontier world of Azan.

Starbase Omicron needed constant attention from military resupply routes despite the many technological advancements to maintain necessities. While Azan and the four other frontier worlds provided the minerals and produce to keep the station running, Weapons manufacturing was nearly nonexistent in the sector thus depriving a key resource for military assets. In the end, despite the various attempts to garner the support for such an industry in the Omicron Sector, nothing bore fruit and the military was reduced to transports for maintaining the ammunition and repair necessities.

Grand Army Frigate Azan One - Omicron Star System

The Acclamator-I bore the name of the system it most supplied due in part to the constant benefit it provided Planet Azan during its many dry seasons of ammunition and military supply shortages. Nemesis had requested permission to board Azan One a few days after his encounter with Prometheus in the Temple of the Orders on Novar. On Azan he planned to find a Sith Lord that he had previous association with and who kept a close eye on the secretive dealings of the underworld both outside and what was left inside Federation Borders. He didn't expect to encounter any hostile activity so near the Hyperborian Khanate, which this sector of the frontier happened to border. That and the well known fact that the Khanate deplored pirate activity and was active in offensive operations to secure the borders and prevent any "Galactic Incidents" from arising should one slip by and raid a Federation Outpost.

Azan One had a few hours before docking with the Federation Starbase Omicron, where Nemesis would then take a shuttle to the surface of Azan for his search for the Sith Lord. With so much spare time, he decided to browse the Federation Military Database for updates on all happenings in Anagonia. His rank and position in the military granted him such access, thus saving him from many hours of boredom during this trip. He found a lack of anything interesting, taking note however of various reports of activity within the Hyperborian borders. Obviously long range sensors had picked up some activity, determined to be nothing more than military vehicles on patrol which was something that was beyond concern. He closed out the console in his quarters on the Officers Deck, the Acclamator-I ship a modified version for long range missions and thus supplementing a larger crew and activity space. His quarters contained a bed, which he didn't use, and a wall with a modified stand-rest for Droidekan's such as Nemesis. He'd use this to "sleep" in on occasion during his voyage, seeing no such reason now and therefore deciding to roam the ship towards the bridge.

He passed many Organics of various species, most outfitted with either Katarn or Clone Trooper armor. A few Droidekans of the B-1 variety were spotted, fewer still of Nemesis race of the B-2 variety. He didn't find this disturbing in the least, noting that it took centuries for Prometheus to father his kind and assuming logically it would take the same amount for him to lead his kind in the same manner. Reaching the bridge Nemesis stopped to observe the holoscreen displays of space and the approaching starbase. It was a huge structure, dwarfing the Azan One in total size. The top was a large half-sphere shape, lowering down a central spine with a huge superstructure. A large entrance on the side of the top half-sphere structure provided a way into the docking area where undoubtedly many ships of various classes resided. He, in his understanding of emotions, felt slightly nervous at the aspect of meeting once again with someone from his distant past now that he observed the station. He didn't know why, or the reason behind the sudden burst of emotion, but he decided that he should shove the emotional response aside and concentrate on the task at hand.

The bridge crew leaving Nemesis to himself, the Captain of the ship standing slightly to the side and to the rear of Nemesis' B-2 frame, his elongated head continued to monitor the holo displays and count the time down with his internal chronometer until the ship arrived into spaceport.

12 Parsecs from The Boarder

The Invasion Fleet dropped out of Hyperspace, Close enough to the boarder to make another Jump. But the fleet was waiting for help, Reinforcements from The Powerful Keniji Warrior Clan. Kimberli knew that the Spirit of the Samurai was brought to life not only by The Cimmarian Samurai, but by Warrior Clans who wanted to show the galaxy that Hyperboria had honor.

Kimberli wondered if there was now any Honor with Astral-Tech going on the Attack.

Suddenly, 50 Rin-Shi Class Star Cruisers dropped out of Hyperspace. These were not Khanate Navy, because these cruisers were Painted Red.

Kaniji Ships

Kimberli knew now that war was coming.

Something I never liked, Karena thought to her self, Working for these Greed mongers like Mercenaries. She wondered why Lord Shinahisu agreed with The Four Marquises.

"General Karena," The Hyperborian next to her said, "The Astral-Tech Fleet wants to know if we are ready," Karena turned to The Hyperborian Warrior. "Tell them we are ready." She said.

Starbase Omicron - Omicron Star System - Recreation Lounge

Around him Nemesis took note of the activity and atmosphere of the recreation area. The food court was busy serving the needs of the many organic species, both civilian and military. Areas for entertainment were busy meeting the needs of the stations populace as they enjoyed some much needed time off. Other areas for physical activity were catering mostly to the military personnel whom enjoyed either wrestling or sports related activities. Finally he took note of the Droidekans that roamed around enjoying their specified time of recreation. They weren't located in the food court, as they didn't require any nourishment to maintain their mechanical needs. Mostly populating the areas around the physical activity and entertainment areas, they mingled with their like-minded organic brethren for some social activities that benefited their mental and emotional evolution. Every encounter, as each Droidekan knew, proved to benefit both organic and Droidekan with much needed insight on each others mental framework.

Nemesis neck was extended as he sat on an empty table at the edge of the food court where he had a good view of the Planet Azan and the military and civilian vessels traveling in space. His head was directed towards observing the planet as he took note of a heightened activity of Grand Army starships as they exited from hyperspace just outside of the gravitational reach of the planet. Curious now, he allowed his mind to calculate the possibilities of what this heightened level of activity could mean. Normally the Omicron Sector only maintained a certain level of Grand Army Starships due to the lack of supplies. These number of ships far outweighed the proper number suited to the starbase and its supply limit. Furthering the mystery was the appearance of Grand Navy ships, followed by Anagonian Defense Forces. Something was indeed happening. He stood, gazing around and noting that most of the populace in the recreation area had gazed towards the now-apparent show of military vessels that was so unknown to this part of the Federation. They undoubtedly knew something was amiss too.

Nemesis then noticed a Raptorian in a General's Recreation Uniform and made his way towards the individual. Upon nearing, the Raptorian took note of Nemesis' extended neck and seemed to relax, returning his reptilian gaze towards the ships as a groupie of Army personnel surrounded him and started talking amongst themselves. "General," Nemesis stated in a suitable tone gaining the Raptorians attention once more, "May I inquire the nature of the activity going on?"

The Raptorian stood about six feet and nine inches, his scaled muzzle a darker mixture of red and brown. His eyes were the most notable, having the reptilian slitted pupils and a greenish hue to them. He seemed to stand straighter, his recreation uniform a matching white with a yellow line crossing down his wide shoulders to signal his rank. His tail seemed to twitch at Nemesis inquiry as his clawed hands tightened into a fist. Nemesis observed the physical reactions of the Raptorian and concluded it was an unconscious emotional response to being nervous. Then the Raptorian took note of insignia on the right side of Nemesis' chest. His eyes opened wide and he gave a firm salute. The other military personnel around did the same, Nemesis responding in kind and ushering the General to follow him from the crowd before too much attention was drawn to them.

After they escaped a possible situation, the Raptorian gave a nod of thanks and looked back out to the wide viewports that showed the massing space forces. Nemesis followed his gaze as the Raptorian spoke in a husky voice that was amplified to be understandable by a universal translator. "I do not know, Vice-Chief President." He then looked Nemesis with a questioning gaze, "Perhaps it is your appearance in this sector?" Amused by the possibility, Nemesis shook his head. "Improbable," he said in a lighter-tone voice showing his amusement. "Prometheus would have that affect, most certainly. I, however, would not be so gifted with such displays of protection." He gave a droid-like chuckle, gazing at the Raptorian. "Perhaps a few Jedi or Sith have followed me to protect my existence, but otherwise the military knows my condition on wasting citizens credits on my behalf."

The Raptorians gaze seemed to lightened, nodding at the reply and understanding. His attention returned to the display outside the viewports as more ships hyperspaced into the system. "I was not informed on any military manuvers of this magnitude within my Jurisdiction," the Raptorian said. "So I must conclude this is an emergency." Nemesis nodded, "It would seem so. Although I am confused as to why I have not been informed as well." They both had a moment of sharing the confusion by gazing at each other, then as if on cue a group of Soldiers in Katarn-Class Armor came running in the lounge and started assisting the civilians to proper quarters and getting the military personnel to their statons. Nemesis turned to observe as did the General beside him, a lone soldier coming up saluting both Nemesis and the General before catching his breath. "Vice-Chief, General, your needed in the Command Center right away." As the soldier hurried off, Nemesis gazed at the General. "He's the first one to notice my status." The General chuckled, "I believe that was his helmets HUD giving him the cheat."

Thirty Minutes Later

The Command Center was constructed in an oval fashion with holoscreens spanning the spherical walls and in the center round-structure that served as the main information source for the entire room. It was large, having several levels below where the Raptorian General and Nemesis stood. Many stations for various specifications were serviced by Grand Army personnel in full Trooper Armor as they went about their duties. The main screen which served as the primary observation point for all things military was displayed directly to the side of the oval Command Center and having a display of all military assets in the Sector being mobilized currently. On the offhand center beside the main structure that served as he information source for the Command Center was a station for where the Raptorian General was undoubtedly expected to fill. Surrounding it was a round table with full sector map for easy reference and several individuals from every branch of the Galactic Federation Armed Forces. Nemesis took this as a bad sign as they made their way there, being saluted and returning the salutes given as each individual took a seat around the round table with Nemesis granted the Generals usual chair as the High Ranking Official present.

A holographic display erupted from the round table, showing the sector and the border between the Hyperborian Khanate. Nemesis was unable to properly display his confusion at this point due to the lack of facial recognition mechanisms on his frame. Instead, he gazed towards the General to find him quite perplexed with his head tilted and jaw open slightly. This was about the most perfect display that would fit Nemesis' mindset at this point. He looked around the table to find the other individuals less confused in expression and figured rightly he'd be introduced to the problem promptly. As soon as this thought was processed, a Komodren in Grand Navy uniform looked directly at Nemesis and began to speak. This time a universal translator was not needed.

"Mr. Vice-Chief, General Tu'Lok, I apologize for the abrupt interruption into your affairs." The Komodren made an apologetic bow of his reptilian head, Nemesis responding in kind. "However recent events near this sector have indicated a threat to the citizenry of the Federation."

Nemesis raised his hand, everyone turning to him as he gained their attention. "Has Chief President Prometheus been alerted to this?"

A human in Colonial Marine Armor nodded, his helmet taken off and on the table per regulations at his side. "Yes, Vice-Chief. When he learned of your presence in the Sector orders were given to allow you Command under GFFC regulations."

Nemesis nodded. The Galactic Federation Fleet Command was the central point wherein all Federation Military Branches cooperated during times of crises. It was a helpful institution that not only acted as a Central Command for Joint Operations but served a scientific purpose during peacetime. Normally the Chief President would take up position as Chief Commander, but due to the situation and undoubtedly the distance between Prometheus and Nemesis at this point, Nemesis took the Marines relay of information as acceptable. Nemesis directed his attention towards the holographic display, "Then what is the emergency?"

"On the other side of Federation Borders a massive fleet is approaching Omicron Sector," responded the Komodren once more as the holographic display followed the Komodrens update, "Surprisingly the Khanate has denied any involvement in the situation." The holographic display changed and shifted as the friendly Anagonian assets moved into position on the other side of Azan as forces continued to hyperspace in from other sectors, now amassing to over one-thousand ships. Nemesis took note of a larger asset nearing the vicinity and pointed towards it, "What ship is that?"

The Komodren looked at the display, "That is the Enterprise, Vice-Chief. She was in the Deltian Sector when the call for assistance reached her. She'll be leading the defensive forces for Azan."

A Starcarrier (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=82&page=1#44) en route to Azan? Nemesis now concluded he had underestimated the seriousness of the situation. By the displays timetable, which seemed to be updated by live feed, the Enterprise would arrive within two hours. He took note of the many assets continuing to pour into the sector from various outlaying sectors, considering the implications for an all out war. He hypothesized what was previously stated concerning the Khanate, concluding that at this point it would be useless to prod around the situation of galactic war instead considering this a minor border skirmish. Yet he knew it was beyond minor.

"How many assets in total will be defending this sector from outside incursion," Nemesis questioned as he continued to observe the display. The Marine responded from across the table, "Around two-thousand within six hours, and four-thousand within twenty four hours." Nemesis nodded once again, noting that was a sizable portion of active military assets. Nemesis gazed around the table, "Order the ships currently around Azan to make formation for the Starcarrier en route and prepare to repel planetary assault." He gazed at the Raptorian General seated beside him, "General Tu'Lok, you are hereby my Second in Command until the articles of the GFFC are placed into peacetime status. Assist me by ensuring all planetary assets are made ready for planetary invasion."

Tu'Lok, surprised by the promotion, stood and saluted as he wondered from the table to conduct his orders. Nemesis gazed around the table, looking at the Komodren. "Contact the Orders, have them send reinforcements to bolster our ground forces. And have them find me Darth Imperium."

The Fleet was now crossing the Boarder and would soon reach the planet Omicron Azan, a Frontier Outpost. Kimberli knew the planet was more of a farming world before it became a Colony.

A good Beachhead for any assault, if it wasn't for a Space Station that was in the way, one that had to be blasted out of Vacuum. The plan was to make a Attack on the station known as Starbase Omicron, Disable it or blow it to nothing. It would not be a easy job with starfighters, but they would be helped by Capital Ships.

The Fleet would soon enter the system

31-01-2009, 04:19
The Omicron Star System was comprised of four planets and two gas giants in similar construction as that found in Neptune and Saturn of Sol. Omicron was classified as a Class G Star and well suited to provide for the two planets within the Solar System that supported life. The mineral-rich world was called Azan Minor for the lack of any official name, having few oceans and high mountains dwarfing any found on Earth. It was namely used by the populace of Azan for supporting economic endeavors. Azan bolstered a rich ecosystem of temperate landmasses mixed with large oceans. Only two continents resided on the surface of Azan with no landmasses at either poles. Two moons orbited the planet, one of which was a mirror image of its mother world and bolstered an economy for farming and manufacturing.

Starbase Omicron was located in the orbit between Azan and Azan Minor, following Azan in a makeshift stationary high-orbit position that provided ample access to both worlds. With the massing fleets of warships and starships now in system, civilian traffic had all but came to a standstill. Military Transports enacted protocol to continue trade routes, though economic value slipped a portion because of transport cargo hold limitations. But every hint of argument slipped when the citizens caught sight of the Anagonian Battleship and Pocket Battleships (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=82&page=1#41) patrolling near the two worlds. Most of the Battleships headed for the other side of the solar system nearest to the Khanate Border where the suspected hostile forces had entered Federation Territory. Already a massive wall of ships formed to prevent any chance of slipping through the defenses with Gravity Well Generators being activated behind the allied forces to prevent a sneak attack via hyperspace. They also ensured that the Gravity Wells were placed strategically to allow further reinforcements no problem entering the system in classified areas.

For the moment the one-thousand plus ships held their positions. Dominated mostly by Venator-Class Star Destroyers (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=38&page=1#116) configured for Battleship Role. Acclamator-I and II starships were the second-noticeable class of starship in positions surrounding the Venator Star Destroyers, wherein Providence-Class Cruiser/Carriers (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=40&page=1#352) could be spotted surrounded by other Grand Army and Grand Navy starships. A few Yorktown Class Attack Carriers (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=25&page=1#34) could be spotted in the mix providing the main role as carriers. Various fighter and bomber aircraft surrounded the group, a large gap at the top of the joint formation of starships signaling the possibility of other ships hyperspacing in.

[OoC; Righto, just seemed like you had a tempo going there. First time RPing FT, so I wouldn't mind small commenting on my posts.]

The large movements of ships had not escaped the High Federation's notice, and soon an assortment of small reconnaissance probes was sent out to investigate. Of the probes that were sent out, few returned. Between defective Warp-Jumping, to pirates, to the small packs of scrap collectors that roamed the area around the High Federation like hungry vultures, it was a tough mission for a probe.
However, the information the HFH got back was enough to realize there was a war going on. And when there was war, there was loot, and the High Federation was a sucker for loot, whether it be resources, planets, or money. A small pack of 'Dreadwolf' class frigates was sent out, carrying a small group of lowly ambassadors. But whatever side found them wouldn't know that. Their sole mission was to scope out the enemies, find out whichever side would win, make allies, and return. All of this, of course, without being blown up. What a life an HF ambassador had.

OOC: You sure can. Just look at Heirosoloa's post to get a few ideas on how to enter this skirmish. Considering its going on between two galactic nations who can probably spot a massive invasion force, observe how Heirosoloa gives an excellent excuse on how he found out about it. Other than that, have fun!

Ten Lightyears from Omicron Star System

The Grand Navy Cruiser Demetrious had received the call to arms not twenty hours before. Since that time she had been in HyperWarp heading for the rally point for all ships within this region of the Galactic Federation. Being nearly on the other side of the Galaxy despite advanced FTL technology limited travel even in the most dire of circumstances. Considering the engagement, the Demetrious was only crewed by thirty-five and commanded by an officers staff of ten. Her design was based on the Miranda Class Cruiser (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=40&page=1#351) design, having enough firepower to back up her presence in any situation. The Captain of the Demetrious was Johnathon Alexander, a well known Commanding Officer in the Frontier Academies. It was his bridge crew that first spotted the entry of the unknown probes into Federation Territory.

Usually a Galactic Navy Officer would permit the investigations of outside influences so long as such investigations did not take place during a time of crises. Unfortunately, this was a time of crises and Johnathan had to follow protocol. He quickly sent word to Starbase Omicron that he would be investigating a disturbance that possibly coincided with the current crises, and promptly caught the signal of one of the probes and began to follow it through space. Where it would lead him, he did not know.

The Fleet was now about to drop out of Hyperspace, ready for combat. "Prepare to drop out of Hyperspace on my Mark," Kimberli said to her Crew, "and prepare for anything The enemy will have."

Soon, the Astral Tech Fleet and Keniji Force dropped out of Hyperspace, in the face of a fleet of enemy ships. a LOT of enemy Ships

This was now looking like a Chinese face off.

"Send in the Fighters," Kimberli Ordered her Fighter Operator, "and Star Firing on my Command.

Soon, The Droid Starfighters started pouring out, heading on the attack. In the Keniji Force, Their Fighters were on stand by. But the Cruisers were soon firing against The enemy Fleet, Turbolaser and Plasma Cannons, with some Ion Cannon and Missiles were being fired against The Anagonians.

The War had started.

The Anagonian Armada unleashed its fighter contingent which was a mixture of the normal Grand Army Recon Fighters (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=93&page=1#393), Grand Army Starfighters (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=93&page=1#394), Grand Army Bombers (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=93&page=1#395), and the ever present SA-40 Dragon Fury Space Superiority Fighter (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=82&page=1#45) employed to combat he newer age of fighter threats. They were bunched together in hordes, the bombers going after the larger ships with the Recon Fighters providing protection for the bombers as the SA-40's went after the horde of enemy fighters incoming. The Acclamator-I Frigates concentrated on Anti-Fighter defense, the Venator's and Acclamator-II's firing on the enemy capital ships. Anagonian Battleships and Pocket Battleships forged through the fighter barraged with their own fighter protection, challenging the largest of the enemy ships into combat.

Then, suddenly, Time and Space distorted above the battlefield as a huge object emerged from Sub-Space. The Starcarrier Enterprise (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=82&page=1#44) had arrived, her massive structure slowly drifting downward towards the protection of the other ships as as massive particle beams cut through enemy fighters and engaged the largest ships in combat. This was indeed turning into a massive war.
The Steppe Empire
02-02-2009, 01:11
The Fighters turned to the incoming enemy fighters as all The Capital Ships started firing all weapons against the enemy. Anti-Fighter flak was firing against any enemy Fighter that got though The Droids.

Kimberli decided it was time for her to move out. "Prepare my own Fighter for battle." She told The B1 Droid Beside her, "and Prepare The Ion Cannon for firing." "General," a MagnaGuard said, "enemy Carrier detected. Possibly The Enterprise"

Kimberli knew that now it would be a fight.

The Arquebus was in the fight even harder. Karena saw that the Invasion would have to fight hard against The enemy Defenders. "Colonel Jalbalis," She told the Fighter Commander, "Send out The fighters at once!."

Out of The Cruisers of The Keniji Force, 400 TAO-21's poured out of their hangers, armed with Diamond-Boron Missiles to take on enemy Capital Ships and laser Cannons to fight enemy fighters. The Arquebus and the other Rin-Shi Class Cruisers soon started moving in against the enemy Ships. The Arquebus was soon heading in to attack a Venator head on in a All Out battle, Turbolasers firing all out.

The massive Starcarrier moved forward, and lurched to her side as she gained a broadside against the enemy fleet. Her shields able to take most of the weapons systems being thrown at her, she finally unleashed a massive array of Fusion and Microwave Projection Cannons. Burrow Nukes were launched from her torpedo tubes. They headed for the lesser defended Cruisers and Frigates to burrow themselves inside the hulls and detonate to cause the most damage. In this position now, she provided a blockade against the enemy ships, preventing them from moving forward until they somehow got past the Enterprise. Several Battleships lined the top and bottom of the Starcarrier, providing anti-ship defenses as the Acclamator-I's rushed to provide anti-fighter defenses. The Majority of Fighters launched from the Enterprise were the advanced SA-40's and the Anagonian Made ASF-01 Hammerhead Heavy Fighters (http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=82&page=1#37) which carried a torpedo hard point to launch against ships.

On board one of the SA-40 fighters launched, Grand Admiral Greg Paladin led a group of two-hundred SA-40's as they rushed to meet the incoming four-hundred TAO-20's launched by the enemy. An additional one-hundred Grand Army Recon Fighters were close behind Greg's squadron armada as he closely watched the screens. He ordered a defensive formation as the two very different types of fighter aircraft formed up.

Above the Enterprise, a fleet of five Anagonian Battleships with two Venator-Class Star Destroyers in Battleship Configuration came to meet the Rin-Shi Class Cruisers as an additional twenty Acclamator-II's came into formation to provide defenses for the Battleships. Leading the fray was Fleet Commander Dimitri Preston, a veteran of galactic conflicts. Despite his age, he continued to contribute to the tactics now being used to lessen the losses of this war. His Venator, heavily protected by the battleships and Acclamator-II's surrounding it, led the way as the ships fighters rached outward to prevent enemy bombers and fighters from getting a lucky shot.

All around, Heavy Cruisers and Battleships on the Anagonian Side took heavy damage from plasma fire or other means. Some experienced moderate to superficial damage. A few exploded violently as enemy bombers managed to launch ship killer's against them. Yet the Anagonian Defenses held strong, refusing to allow the enemy fleet through.

OOC: I always believed they had SOME sentience to them. The problem was that once you killed the control ship, their dead. So I just went as a normal Star Wars fan would and created my own version, without the need for the droid control ship and having a spin-off as being accepted as a formal species.

OOC: okay so i know im not in this thead, im just an veteran outside observer (dont let the post count fool you its a new nation) but i couldnt resist. Steppe,... just a few notes. I dont care what beefs you have with other people, i think everyone has a fundemenal right to rp. But theres some things that need to be said.
Theres part of speech in the english known as the Adjective, maybe you heard of it. It really brings oh i dunno whats the word....FLAVOR to telling story. I can actually picture it, get a feal for emotion, the Pressure, the desperate need for survival, the DRAMA!! adjectives are used to describe things.

Your posts however, read like a computer programing manual. (thats what we call a simile)

Ill give you an example.

this is something you would post,

the fleet of 500 ships crossed into the solor system and prepared for combat all cannons fired. hitting targets

its so dull.."this happened and then this happened and then this happend". It reads like a list theres no meat no sustanence to your writing

Now here is that same concept but made in a good way.

"Few exist in the universe today who had seen a fleet of this magnitude mounted against them, and lived to tell the tale. The mighty fleet, amassing some 500 odd ships entered the solor system the very sight of them instilling fear into all those who gazed upon them. Their presence would be known, for as they entered the fight, quickly their cannons selected targets and opened fire, a hail of energy and shrapnel finding purchass in enemy bulkeads shreading the vulnerable steel."

Hott damn i gave myself goosebumps.

oh sorry i forgot the Caps on your post... there is also gramatical rule about capitalization in the english lanquage, were not speaking russian. While it may not seem a big deal it is actually very distracting.

Also you might want to look a little bit more into the english lanquage and understand the difference between writing styles and speaking styles.

the phrase, "Kimberli dropped out of hyperspace at this weapons facility own by yada yad yad.

that sounds like a 16 yer old girl at a mall recalling her friends journy, "Kimberli went to this place..and it was like..owned by these people..."
simple rule, when in third person naration dont use words like that and this, its to specific as if there was a base right infront of the reader. Narration is not directed at any one person it is simply spouted into the air for anyone to hear. Dont use directional prepositions.

thats about it, in short look at posts from Anagonia for starters, he or she has the description thing down. and sometimes, you dont need to give exact numbers again, for you fleet and your losses as such. leave that open to speculation, give the reader something to think about if you dont, they will lose interest real quick as i have just lost interest in this thread

OOC:

I understand your entire summary/comment/constructive criticism was directed at Steppe. Most of it is valid, and things that I am aware that Steppe is aware of himself. However, most people overlook the fact that Steppe does have a legitimate reason for the way his posts are constructed. Whether or not he chooses to inform anyone is his business, and I continue to role play with him for the fun of it. I'm sure he'll find some inspiration to continue to advance his role playing potential by your post, and probably be thankful for the help. However, I believe it paramount to note that I have been working with Steppe for a number of years and have not found an extremely dissatisfying aspect to his manner of role playing.

Thank you for your comment.

Half of The Astral-Tech Fleet was damaged are now nothing but Scrap Metal. The Fighters were now in the middle of a Dogfight with the enemy fighters. This was now becoming bloody.

Kimberli was now in her own Starfighter. a Modified TIE Interceptor used by The Cimmarian Samurai. It had shielding, not as strong as other fighter, But when Piloted by a Force user, like a Cimmarian.

Kimberli used the force as she soon headed for The Dogfight between the Anagonians and The Keniji Clan. It was time to show the enemy who they were now dealing with.

The Rin-Shi Cruisers continued their attack, but 10 of them were now dead in space, burning. Karena was looking at the battle, as The Fighters zigged and Zagged in space, Firing on the enemy starfighters in a dance of death, with 70 TAOs blasted to bits.

The Battle was still on.

A few hundred ships from the Anagonian Fleet burned in space, a few hundred more damaged beyond battle condition. The war was going well all things considered, the enemy fleet being held at bay with the overwhelming firepower of the Anagonian Star Forces. The Starcarrier added the extra benefit of destroying more ships with its massive array of weapons, being damaged superficially through out the fight as the other thousands of ships concentrated on using the Enterprise as cover. The fighters were faring well, expect the aging Starfighters which were destroyed by the hundreds due to inexperienced pilots. Casualties were high, but not so overwhelmingly high that the Galactic Federation would retreat.

The enemies push was met by an aggressive offensive from the Anagonian side. Tactics changed as the Enterprise made way towards the enemy fleet formation, attempting to crash through with weapons blazing as the thousands of other ships followed the break. It was highly unlikely the enemy had anything to take out such a power ship, considering the amount of destruction it unleashed in the first half of the battle. Once again volley after volley of torpedoes were launched, including more fighters and more weapons systems. The Anagonians intended to make this difficult for the enemy.

Greg Paladin steered his SA-40 past through the destroyed debris of an enemy fighter, setting his sights on what looked like a modified TIE Interceptor. He called his squadron in, taking point as he noted the shielding. Arming missile and weapons system and achieving a quick lock, he began to fire as he arched over an Accalamator-II as it battled a nearby enemy cruiser.

the Battled Continued as many of The Astral-Tech Fleet was soon starting to back off from the attacking Enterprise and those helping it. But they were going to the sides, right and left.

And The Flagship was in the middle, its large Ion Cannon now pointing at The enemy ships.

and it was charged up.

"Fire at Will." a Commander Droid ordered. Soon the weapon was at full charge and suddenly........Fired on The enemy Ships

OOC: Thought I had posted, lol. Sorry.

IC:

The Enterprise noticed the danger as her shield assets went to maximum. Though nothing could be done to avoid the beam at such a close range, she could attempt to rise herself above the expected trajectory to make the initial damage moderate. That's what the Enterprise did, with the exception of the lesser ships in fleet that didn't have enough time. The stream of ionized particles shot through the Anagonian lines, destroying a portion of the ADF forces and a small segment from the GFFC. The Enterprise had arched enough to where the beam struck her lower assembly, cutting across the fore of the huge starship and streaming to the side. The shield buffeted most of the harmful particles. What was left was a long molten line across her hull with multiple deck breaches being sealed.

She continued to fire, however. The numbers on the Anagonian side seemed to even out with her enemies. The Enterprise led a second charge against the enemy forces, concentrating fire on the large droid ship that had fired the ion beam. Smaller craft equipped with Ion Cannons concentrated on this ship, while the rest maintained a constant mode of assault on the other smaller enemy craft. The large Starcarrier was left, with a few battleships for assistance, to battle the large droid ship alone.

Greg had barely enough time to avoid the Ion Beam, turning to see the enemy TIE Interceptor heading straight for him. He turned hard his SA-40, teammates following as one exploded from the enemies laser fire. He attempted lock, blindly firing a quick-shot tracking missile that would not probably hit anything. Taking a route behind a Venator's bridge, he swung around to come straight at the enemy fire with his own pulse blasters firing. It was now a game of chicken.

The Astral-Tech Fleet soon was firing against The Smaller Ships, attacking from Two sides of the enemy, on a full scale attack against the Anagonian Fleet. the Keniji force was now attacking the other Ships also, one Rin-Shi was hit by some missiles that were fired by one of the enemy fighters. But it was minor Damage.

The Flagship was taking The attack by the enemy attacks well, The Shields were holding up against The Ion Cannon fire, back up by two of the Lucrehulk Class Battleships and 4 Munificent Class Star Frigates, The Saber Rider fired all Turbolaser batteries against the enemy ships.

The The Keniji were soon diving into the battle also, starting to attack at Point-blank range against The enemy ships. Kimberli was too busy with her dogfight against the enemy fighter, now heading for her. Knowing that she might become a bug on it's canopy, she soon dogged the fire and started to fly over The same Venator sand turned this into a chase across the ship.

Four TIE Droids and two TAOs were soon turning to attack the same enemy fighter. all the while, the Venator was soon to be targeted by a Rin-Shi Cruiser, heading it to attack it at Point-Blank Range.

Normally a skirmish was to be organized and well-maintained by both sides. Ships would line up, duke it out to the death, and the victor would continue the process. But this was reality, and in reality chaos reigned supreme. It was hard for the Fleet Commanders to maintain formation and assault the enemy positions. With two fleets now bearing down on them, things became apocalyptic for both logistics and control. The only bright side of the entire ordeal was the Enterprise, whom maintained herself despite the vast armada arrayed against, now coming about to thrust herself into a position above the enemy super ship. There, she would duke it out personally with the battleships protecting it.

It was assumed that the enemy was experiencing the same amount of chaos as the Anagonian forces were, so therefore any feeling of Armageddon was beginning to seem mutual. Greg had won the game of chicken, chasing after the TIE Interceptor with his wing mates splitting and taking on the Droid Fighters. The Venator in which this personal dogfight was taking place around was outfitted to be a Battleship, having more weapons and carrying along with it two Acclamator-II's whom flew in loose formation.

They turned to meet the oncoming threat of the enemy Cruiser-class ship, launching proton torpedoes to start the volley as turbolasers made lock and began to fire. The two Acclamator-II's turning to flank the ship.

The Rin-Shi Cruiser was no other then the Arquebus, the flagship of The Keniji Force. The ship rocked as The enemy fired at it, but the Ship fired back, Turbolasers and Missile launchers fired against the enemy ship. The Two Acclamators were in for their own surprise as Two of The Large Plasma Cannon Turrets turned to fire at them as Ion Cannons started a blazeing against them. The Turrets soon aimed and fired at the two enemy ships. Like a Blue Comet the Plasma headed for the enemy.

"I Agree," Oganui said, "which is why we are in a war." "Yes, yes, we all know of Astral-Tech's little war with Anagonia." Rangoon said, "I heard that the Keniji and Astral-Tech fleets have engaged the Anagonians." You are correct, Rangoon," Sakura said, "I have not heard any more reports." "Ayame has not even the guts to tell you to stop." Togani said. "Oh, she has, but she is not going to do anything about it without sparking a Civil War." Sakura said, "She fears the idea of Hyperborian Fighting Hyperborian, that would be used by The Terrans to invade our worlds and kill us off. The two Acclamator-II's arched away from the Venator to attempt to avoid the ion beams. Already seen as deadly, and much more powerful than the Anagonian versions, they were not stupid enough to lay in wait and allow such a powerful weapon to demolish the Battleships defenses. While the first Acclamator-II managed to barely avoid the beam, the second was not so lucky in it's mistimed counter-measure. The beam struck in the aft section, cutting through the shields in an instant and slicing the star ship in half at an odd angle. The engine section parted from its body, flames dying out as the void of space sucked all life from the interior. The fore section started to roll several times from the force of the beams impact, and then a bright light as the fusion core went critical.

The explosion was massive. An orb expanded, encompassing the Venator and the first Acclamator-II, then a detonation cloud emerged afterward. There was no sound, no indication of the carnage and devastation that the explosion had done. Not even a sign of the Venator or her last protective escort, until a [ul=http://hawk.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=gfmc&action=display&thread=92&page=1#381]Constellation-Class Exploration Frigate[/url] emerged from the remnants of the explosion cloud, followed by the Acclamator-II and the Venator at an arch heading for the large enemy Heavy Cruiser.

The Venator showed obvious signs of damage from the explosion, though her shields had been compensated at the last minute by the Exploration Frigate. A few scars and scorch marks across the right side of her hull, with everything else remaining undamaged. The Acclamator-II showed no signs of damage, perhaps do to its timely escape. The Constellation-Class flew forward towards the enemy ships attacking the Venator Battleship, the Acclamator-II staying behind to act as defense.

The second obstacle was the Plasma turrets. The shields of the three ships, including that of the Constellation-Class, held against most of the volley's as they began their return assault. The Exploration Frigate began to fire photon torpedoes at the enemy cruiser, aiming for the turrets with her four Fusion Array's, firing in increments as they fired and recharged independently. The Venator began to challenge directly the enemy cruiser, aiming to head to the side of the enemy ship and begin a broadside assault. The Acclamator-II followed suit, heading for the other side. They both unleashed their Heavy Turbo Laser batteries, firing the Proton Torpedoes at point blank range when they neared.

But now another ship, a Providence Class Carrier/Destroyer was entering The battle, heading for the Acclamator-II, firing it's Turbolasers against the enemy.

Two TAOs were also in coming at the Acclamator-II, launching Missiles at The Bridge of the enemy ship, in hopes of taking it down. Kimberli was busy ducking and dogging fire. She soon turned, heading for the enemy Constellation-Class Exploration Frigate, to keep The chase going against the enemy.

The Acclamator-II succumbed to the amount of firepower being directed at it, its bridge exploding from the weapon strikes and its frame buckling and break a part as its fusion core went critical. The Venator continued to pound the enemy ship, chasing after it as it took moderate damage from the strikes. The Constellation-Class wasn't foolish enough to allow another ship three times its firepower to get a hold of it. The Venator made a break-away move to get away from the enemy ship, firing whatever was left of its weapons after having been pounded with enemy fire for so long. In the end, it was useless, even the shields couldn't prevent a boarding.

The Enterprise was suffering heavy damage from the concentrated enemy fire, it's weapons picking off multiple enemy ships one by one. The fleet surrounding her moved to protect her, the damage so far only minimal but growing serious.

Greg moved his starfighter to follow, having flown near a starcarrier before and moving to follow his prey as he fired off bursts of lasers when he got in range and moved around the large panels of the Enterprise.

Greg moved his starfighter to follow, having flown near a starcarrier before and moving to follow his prey as he fired off bursts of lasers when he got in range and moved around the large panels of the Enterprise.

Kimberli dogged and ducked, going left and right like a Shylock (a Bat-like animal from Pangaea) to try and avoid the enemy fighter. her own fighter was clipped by laser fire, but she was still flying. She soon decided that it would be best to head for the flagship, and let the enemy pilot fallow her and then show him how to fly while in a hanger bay, Kimberli fallowed the will of the Force, and dived to The Flagship.

The Flagship continued to fire against The enemy carrier, it was getting damage from the enemy, but it was holding the best it could.

More Astral-Tech ships were attacking the enemy ships, but It seemed that the fleet needed help. From the Flagship it self, a message was sent for Reinforcements to help in fighting the enemy.

Greg Paladin dodged the cannon fire of the starcarrier, weaving between turret mounts and staying on the enemy fights tail. His fighter craft was the best manufactured, and could easily continue this chase as long as needed. So long as he didn't screw up and make a huge mistake, he would continue trying to gun the fighter down. He didn't take notice of the direction they headed, just avoiding every obstacle in his way.

The Enterprise pressed the advantage and began moving slowly forward as the bulk of the fleet followed, trying to tear through the enemy lines once and for all. Upon intercepting the call for help from the enemy fleet, they made their own call for reinforcements. No matter what, they would never give this sector up.

Back in Hyperborian Territory

Astral-Tech was massing their own reinforcement fleet. a large fleet of 20 Bulwark Class Mark I Battlecrusiers, 17 Recusant Class light Destroyers, 18 Nasith Class Missile Frigates, 30 Providence Class Carrier/Destroyers and 20 Munificent Class Star Frigates were massed for the reinforcements. This would help in possible victory in the battle.

this fleet soon went off into Hyperspace.
