Commence Ships Log, UHS Defiant
The Defiant is about to leave Space dock, we shall then proceed to the UHS Valiant were we shall be joining up with them. Following her initial missions, it has been decided that all ships shall operate in pairs.

The sleek Defiant slipped from the confines of Hawk Station one and began to move under her own power. She was accompinied by a guard of Fighters, as the Valiant was weeks ago. Once clear of the Moons she engaged her warp Engines and sped into deep space.

OOC: My idea for this; The Defiant gets attacked en-route the the Valiant, and eventually gets rescued by said valiant,

Every couple of decades, the Dominion of Draconic Order would lash out at the nearby star systems in an expansionist phase and then contract into the borders of their empire again. It was time again for yet another incursion on the peaceful, and also not so peaceful, galactic powers. Unfortunately, the UHS Defiant was in their way.

Weapon fire forced the UHS Defiant into normal space. A tear in space followed on its heels. It looked like a small explosion of nebular gasses and it left two frigate class vessels in its wake. They continued their speed from when they forced the UHS Defiant from hyperspace, accelerating out of the cloud within moments of arriving. There was a brief message transmitted in a gruff language before the weapon arrays on the two vessels began charging up for another attack.

"Show douta strength usv loreat."
[Translation: Show your strength or die.]

OOC: Type in Star Trek NX Class on google Images, basically that, she's got primitive warp speeds, around 410-450 times speed of light, shields and weapons (not the strongest)

"Tactical Alert!" Captain Jonathan Strong ordered as the ship was rocked "Shields up, power the phasers and load the photons"
"Captain!" Comms officer Jane Smith said "Transmission"

"Translating!" Jane said activating the translator system "Show your strength or die"
"Lovely" Jonathan commented "Attack pattern Alpha"
The Defiant qucikly moved and was soon facing the other way, she weaved side to side in an attempt to avoid fire, when she was close she opened fire with all her forward Phaser arrays and a salvo of Photon Torpedos.
"Report!" Jonathan asked as the Ship was shook again.
"Shields at 92%, eps coduit on E deck has ruptured" Chief Engineer Tony Naros reported.

Draconic Order shields were not the best shields in the universe, but they were sufficient enough when dealing with more primitive technology. However, even the smallest prick was still a prick.

The energy bubble that surrounded the lead ship rippled across the hull as it took a salvo of Photon Torpedoes and low-yield Phaser fire. Quantum Torpedoes were the mainstream of Federation Class Technology that the DO had encountered, but Photon Torpedoes were still effective enough weapons to cause some damage.

The lead ship fired back at the Defiant, this time with something more powerful than the laser cannons it used to cut the Defiant out of warp. Two beams of high-energy positive ions lanced out from the front weapon array. The particle beam cannons employed by the DO were quite efficient at gutting cruisers and frigates, and enough of them would be a threat to larger vessels. However, the NX Class was quite maneuverable, the first salvo just barely grazed their shields as it missed.

"Particle cannons" Tatcical officer vaughn commented "High danger"
"Helm, keep us moving, try stay between the attackers, if they fire they risk hitting their own ship" Jonatahn ordered "And send a distress call, try and find the Valiant"

This is Captain Jonathan Stong of the UHS Defiant, we are under attack requesting assistance

<UHS Valiant, Twenty minutes away>

"Captain, we're receiving a distress call from the Defiant" The comms officer reporte.
"Already?" Elizabeth asked.
"It's been confirmed code as well"
"Alright set a course, warp 5"

The second frigate broke away from the first. It moved in a large arc out of the combat, circling around to try to flank the Defiant on its starboard side. The first frigate continued to give chase, firing its inaccurate beam cannons in an effort to slice the Federation vessel in half.

"Secondary power to the shield grid!" Johnathan ordered "Fire aft torpedos"

The torpedoes slammed into the prow of the pursuing vessel. The shields buckled for an instant under the impact, with the similar watery ripple across the shield grid. However, this time there was enough concentrated power for some of the proton energy to get through.

The surface of the hull where the impact occurred vaporized instantly as it was struck. The high-speed cloud of vapor served to deflect and dissipate what remained of the weapon's power, leaving behind a much darker and sturdier hull. It seemed as if someone had just stripped the plastic packaging off a gift box, and what was inside was another box made of solid iron.

The pursuer's beam weapons were damaged, as was shown by the lack of return fire seconds after the torpedoes hit. The spinal turrets on the warship activated moments later, turning towards the Defiant. Just as the space between the two were about to erupt into a hailstorm of laser fire and plasma explosions, the other frigate began to bare down hard on the Defiant's starboard quarter, from

"NOW" Johnathan ordered the helm officer. The officier immediatly punched full stop and the pursuing ship went right past them.
"All weapons fire at will" Johnathan ordered "Helm, warp flash"
More Photons fired from the Defiants forward launchers and phaser fired sped towards the enemy ship, the Defiant then jumped to warp and dropped out again a few seconds later, some distance from the enemy ships.
"Damage report"
"We took a hit from that second ship as we full stopped" Engineering responded "Shields down to 56%, life support on E deck is fluctauting, we lost our portside Launcher"

The sudden maneuver caught the frigates off-guard. More weapon's fire breached the shields of the pursuing frigate as it passed by. The phaser fire tore a hole in the weakened aft shields and the torpedoes slammed into the engine casing.

A trail of plasma-hot nebula began streaming out of the back of the warship, its engine damaged. Power fluctuated across the ship, indications included the lights flickering across the hull. The damaged vessel began to disengage from the battle, accelerating as it could away from the two remaining vessels.

The remaining frigate was now turning around to face the direction the Defiant was currently in. A stream of plasma torpedoes launched out of its four side missile bays, two on each side, toward the Defiant as the frigate began accelerating towards the Defiant. Due to the range involved, they would require almost a minute to reach their target.

"torpedos tracking from aft" Tactical reported
"ECM's" Johnathan ordered "Try and shoot each torpedo before it reachs us"

The torpedoes were clustered like a school of fish and came in such numbers as to form what looked like a river in space. The power consumption that this entitled slowed the launching frigate to a crawl, its shields diverted to its weapon systems, dark against the inky blackness of space. It was unknown if the Defiant could hold against such a storm.

"I recomend warp" Tactical commented
"Indeed, Helm warp 1, engage"
The Defiant jumped to warp as teh first torpedo hit their port naccle. The Defiant was forced back out of warp a few thoustand Killometres away.

The two frigates disengaged from their slippery attacker and jumped into hyperspace, leaving the Defiant alone in the void of space.

"Full sensor scan!" Johnathan ordered
"They appear to have gone" Tactical reported.
"Alright Damage report" Johnathan requested.
"Warps offline, weapons and shields are also off-line, life support on E Deck has failed"
"Evacuate the deak" Johnathan ordered as a console began to beep "report"
"There's another ship dropping out of warp" Tactical reported.

The UHS Valiant slowed to impulse
"Bloody hell, what's he done to her?" Elizabeth gasped.
"Gotten himself into a battle" Jenny commented "Weapons hits, plasma discharges the works"
"Hail them"
"This is the Defiant, glad you could join us" Johnathan replied.
"Hey, better late than never" Elizabeth grinned
We'll need a tow back to the home system, we lost our warp engines in the attack
"of course, lock onto them with teh Tractor beam and set a course for the home system, engage when ready"
