Thread is currently Semi-OPEN

The Technonaut Sphere X-212 left the gravity well of Kuk activating its FTL drives as the last of the nuclear fire started to burn down. Leaving the planet a barren shell of its former self as the long nuclear winter started to set in. It had been the 12th such planet destroyed in this manner in the outer reaches of the milky way. The Grand Master of the Technonauts Ta'xet gazed back on the planet one last time, feeling no remorse, no fear just a constant desire to assimilate, sighing Ta'xet reached into the overmind feeling the refreshing thoughts of his brothers and sisters.
"Another good catch Grand Master, over 13% of the subjects survived the turning, another sphere may be needed soon." Tax'xet let itself feel a little pleasure in these words."We must not forget our mission Bata, to assimilate all into our grand collective, to cleanse this galaxy of all the unpure..." "Indeed grand master, we are coming upon another world, we are already detecting their futile launches of defenses..."

To the unpure
We are the Technonauts, Your technological and biological distinctiveness shall be added to our own.
Resistance is futile, power down your systems and prepare to be assimilated.

ooc technically the tech level could be ft to mt but that wouldn't fit so...

The planet, Mot was not as lightly defended as the previous Technonauts conquests, yet its orbiting defenses were quickly shown to be outclassed by the alien sphere

"I repeat this is the X-20, an alien sphere just appeared and started destroying everything, we can't seem to damage it, we suggest immediate evacuation of the *message ends*

"Damn, another one went off line."
"Has central command been warned?"
"Yes, but they report the nearest fleet is nearly 2 days out."
"We can't last that long."
"But we must sir, I suggest trying to contact others..."
"Sir the sphere has completely broken free, its descending on New Katrina."
"What?, but all those people will be crushed."
"Its accelerating sir!"
...
"New Katrina, I repeat New Katrina..."
"There gone sir.."
"20 million gone in an instance, thats impossible.., send the distress signal Oxero."

Signal
This is the F&D federation colony, Mot. We are currently under attack by an advance alien entity that have called themselves the Technonauts and we require immediate assistance.

The Technonaut sphere began to crack at New Katrina, releasing a vile vapor that slowly began to spread out, flowing through the ruined cityscape. Filling those still alive with dread and a great lost of hope. Finally the sphere cracked completely opened with a deafening pop, shattering any windows that had remained from the initial impact.

As the few survivors walked towards it, a small landing ramp was lowered, crashing into a city street. A loud growl could be hear as the portal raised as if it hadn't been used in centuries. Thxero could see the blackness behind the opening portal from the nearby building and it filled him with a quite dread. He dropped his spyglasses as a thin red beam went out, it seemed to scan him for a moment before shutting off. An even loud noise was heard as the front part of the sphere just fell off crushing the remainder of the city's bank as multiple red beams suddenly appeared and a man if he could still be called that, stepped out in his full glory. He or should it be it? It was a mess of wires and machine parts, a plasma gun instead of an arm, a helmet collected from a long dead world, permanently fixed on it's head, as it continued to scan.

"Brethren this is our time, this is our place, today we began the first conquest of this galaxy, to rid it of the unpure, to sweep the sinners beneath our boots, now let us go and bring righteous wrath upon this planet."
With those few words, the Master of the sphere led his misshaped followers down the ramp charging at the survivors..

The few survivors at New Katrina, watched the descending Technonauts. Some of the few remaining military units gripping their few plasma guns and trinno detonators.
"Wait for it boys, let them get a little closer." shouted the highest ranked among them, a Sergeant Txero in his soot covered and dented power suit.
"Grenadiers wait, wait, ok FIRE!!" and with that the battle for New Katrina began with the 2nd Katrina squads flinging their detonators and firing their weapons."
..
Their weapons had proven ineffective on the ground as the orbital defenses had been. The Technonauts' shields quickly adapting to their weapon with only a few drones falling. The Tecnonauts had proven merciless shooting down any that resisted...

"New Katrina, I repeat New Katrina..."
"Give it up sir, there isn't anyone else alive to response to."
"I can't believe that private, someone had to survive they couldn't have just wiped out 20 million without at least a few survivors. My son.."
"There there sir, he was a good solider, his death was quick."
"I don't care whether his death was quick, I want him to be alive..."

As the Grand Master surveyed the sight, he started to receive messages from parts of the overmind.
"Report!"
"Grand Master, the drones are making good progress against any that survived the initial impact, already several dozen have been collected for assimilation."
"Good"
"Our orbitals also report that an alien vessel has appeared in system, there tech is much different than the ground unpures. We have already directed the message as ordered, they have already launched fighters so it it doubtful that it will work."
"Hmm, aggressive and doesn't wait for explanation. They will be good to be assimilated into the collective, Exterminate! (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/10/Dalek_Exterminate_all_humans.ogg) the fighters but leave the carrier alone for now."
"Aye Grand Master."

[OoC; Chazakain, how many alternates do you have? Can't you just keep it to one (please).]

A collection of drones had noticed the 'assimilation' going on on Mot, and decided that an outpost outside of the safe controlled zone of the High Federation of Heirosoloa. And what easier way to get a colony than to capture a colony with it's defenses already destroyed by another race, which could easily be wiped out? The only problem was the Kormanthor ship that had arrived. But sharing a colony with another high power wouldn't be too bad. It might bring trade! And trade was always something good to have. The High Federation was bored of it's current trading partners anyway. A change of scenery would be refreshing, and the armies were getting impatient. And impatient armies were more likely to pull a coup. So taking over this planet had multiple positive effects, and little negative ones. Soldiers seemed to die without even being in a war anyway.

A collection of shield ships and colony ships, which were too large to use portable warp holes arrived a short distance from Mot. They had arrived from the nearest High Federation star port, the furthest outpost the HFH currently held. As they approached, the huge rings surrounding the shield ships began glowing, and promptly a warp hole was formed around each of the armored ships. First out of the warp hole was a collection of various fighter units that set up a defensive perimeter around the colony and shield ships, followed by groups of 'Dreadwolf' class frigates and some smaller PATSS [Planetary Assault Tactical Supply Ships] that held the marines, armor, and other resources needed to take over Mot.

As the planetary assault fleet began to fall into it's standard formations, a group of small lithe warships pulled through the warp holes, which finally turned off, and then turned back on into shields, which the smaller warships hid behind. To complete the fleet, a group of heavily armored warships, huge behemoths that were there to destroy the Technonaut fleet, came out of Ethereal Space [The Heirosoloan form of FTL travel]. Soon the fleet began to move in an spearhead formation towards Mot, the shield ships and warships at the front, with the 'Dreadwolf' frigatesand PATSS dispersed between them In the back were the colony ships, guarded by fighters and the rest of the frigates. It was time for the High Federation's next tactical planetary assault.

The Technonaut orbiting ships/satellites began to frantically calculate the newly arrived fleet, the large amount of vessels and the amount of weaponry they brought forth. The overmind slowly began to feel fear again, as not been since it first was nearly wiped out in it's home galaxy.
The grand master began to sway back and forth as the images continued to flow into his mind, ships full of the unpure coming down upon the planet like so many vultures.
"Inform the other spheres of our situation, began immediate disengagement of plantery forces, the sphere is currently vulnerable and will remain so if kept on the planet's surface, start defense protocol Alpha Omega 2, the sphere must not fall."
The overmind continued its frantic calculations, unsure of how to best fight the growing number of threats...

Suddenly the bridge of the ZFS Zycoon burst into action with Galaxy Admiral Jed Rase quickly looked over the scene.

"Hmm, what is the situation exactly?"
SLt Freda took a look at her console and said "It seems a giant...um sphere has landed on the planets surface and..... thats all i have sir."

Nodding to himself Jed ordered the Zycoon a Star Destroyer class ship in system to aid those that may still be alive.

"I want all of our weapons and shields up now! I want no surprises what so ever. When we are in system hail the other ship around Mot. Maybe we can help each other...."

"Sir? What is they are with that....thing on the surface?"

Turning one eye to lookd at SLT. Freda he said "Simple. We pray."

The Technonaut sphere slowly began to glow, a sickly yellow green color around the underside of the sphere, as its main thrusters came back online roaring back to life, as its antimatter reactors continued to dump massive amounts of power into the main thrusters. The overmind had calculated with the increasing amount of hostile forces in the area that the currently exposed sphere would not last long. So overriding the objections of its Grand Master, it did what it always did when faced with unwinable odds began to retreat while masking the retreat as a movements to engage and fight. It would then lick its wounds and prepare a massive counterattack against the unpures with the other spheres. But first it had to get off the planet Mot and this was proving a great deal harder than the overmind wanted.
"I warned you that crashing into this type of terrain was just asking trouble."
"Hush Grand Master, you need to prepare our defenses. I will get us out of this muck."
"But of course, the overmind knows all expect when it comes to mud."
"Do not forget your place Batch Two, cleansed number six, you are not impossible to replace."
"But of course, now if you would bring up our sensor data?"
"It has been done."
"Hmm, taking out the smallest group may be best yet the largest fleet seems to be unarmed and taking out but a few may cause the rest to retreat, decisions decisions."
"Grand Master!?"
"But of course, order the space drones to focus fire on this one, they should bulk quite quickly and we can turn on that large fleet." replied the Grand Master as he pointed out a triangle shaped ship(Zanoduse) and may I suggest you hurry up with the launch?"
"But of course Grand Master, all remaining ground drones have been safety stored."

Due to a rather odd quark added to the original Technonaut, a simple and monotone countdown could be heard throughout the ship.

And since I'm only watching someone else get attacked, I didn't feel it necessary.]

While the Technonauts were distracted with the other fleet, the Heirosoloan assault force began to maneuver around them and heat for Mot. Without the Orbital Defenses and the invasion fleet the Heirosoloan fleet could easily reach in and take the planet without much blood. The sphere that was leaving the planet was generally ignored. As long as the assault fleet was attacked by it, the sphere would just be another distraction. However, as a warning against any rash actions, multiple shots from the ion cannons on the warships were fired towards the sphere. Whether or not they hit wasn't a problem, especially with the sphere's size and general lack of speed. The shield ships still hung behind the warships, and any stray fighters that tried to attack the precious PATS ships dispersed behind the shields would be easily destroyed by the warships, which were now encircling the entire fleet in case the Technonaut fighters decided to change course.

A brief blue surge can be seen through out the control room.
"Status?"
"Shields holding at 90% grand master, adaptability at 60%."
"That fleet seems to be accelerating towards the planet GM."
"Let them go."
"Grand Master?"
"They'll likely be as vulnerable as we were on the surface and if not. Theres always orbital bombardment."

"Grand Master we get signal."

"Grand Master, We received your message and are roughly 5 jumps away from your current position."
"Good, did you finish the assimilation on Cernunnos?"
"Indeed we did, a good success rate to, over .01% were successfully converted."
With the opening ceremonies completed, the Overmind quickly shared all data gotten so far from the hostile fleets with the Master. A almost slight gurgle could be heard after the download was complete from the viewscreen.
"Seems your message underscored the danger your in Grand Master."
"Its nothing we can't handle."
"I respectably disagree Grand Master, 3 hostile fleets? Your lucky your weren't blasted before leaving the planet's atmosphere. We will increase our speed and be there in roughly 2 hours Grand Master."
Viewscreen Darkens
"Well how many spheres did Master X-092 under his control?"

Without any resistance from the Technonaut fighters, the Heirosoloan assault fleet began to land on the planet. The warships fired multiple missiles that streaked towards the surface of Mot and would eradicate any hot pockets of resistance. However, the warships and half of the 'Dreadwolf' frigates simply dropped to Mot, refueled, and shot back into orbit, circling around the area that the colony ships had landed in to defend from planetary assault after the other fleets had been dealt with. The other have of the frigates began to bombard the planet where there were collections of Technonaut ground forces. And two of the shield ships landed, and a large bubble shield enveloped the area.

---

On the ground, Paladin [Abbr. Pldn.] James C. Ross hopped off his dropship with the rest of his crew. Three heavy armored Paladins, one being Pldn. James, two lightly armored Paladins, an Inquisitor, and three normal Federation troops. Two missiles promptly streaked across the sky and hit a skyscraper a short distance away, followed by two more dropships, which unloaded their troops around the building, before turning around and leaving for more.
As the troops neared the skyscraper and the surrounding buildings, a sniper took out one of the light Paladins, and forced the rest into cover. After quickly dispatching the sniper, the squad headed to the skyscraper, where they found two similar groups of Paladins and regular troops mixed (Although with more dead troops) in a firefight with Technonaut soldiers. Cursing under his breath, James slid his machine gun from his back, and began firing at the blasted Technonaut troops.

As another drone two fell beside him Drone Alpha of Batch Forty, cleansed number six cursed his luck. His batch had been sent towards the outer reaches of the city to scan for any F&D troops that would be incoming from nearby settlements that hadn't been destroyed in the initial bombardment. They had received the retreat command to late and had been holed up in the abounded F&D bank for the past few hours, awaiting the return of the sphere as they knew it would. His batch had already been reduced from its normal eight to five members. Adapting to the enemy weapons had proven to be a challenging. There had been discussion among the newer members of the batch as to whether surrender would be an option. At first forty of six had dismissed this out of hand, but that was before their link to the overmind had suddenly been served a few minutes before.
"Forty of five, we have no chance. Since you were originally a diplomat before your cleansing..."
"Understood Forty of six." replied F-6 as it detached its weaponry systems and started to run towards the end of the building. Briefly hovering a second like some olden cartoon before crushing to the ground 10 stories below. Brushing dust off it self, F-6 walked towards the unpures, activating its voice translator before replying in the unpure native language or at least as close as a Technonaut could get to them.

"We of Batch Forty surrender." *brief humming sound can be heard as F-6 completes translator mod* "If you would be so kind as to stop shooting maybe we could work out a deal?"

Meanwhile
7500,000 km from planet's surface.
"Shields are holding at 92% Grand Master. Another salvo of the enemy weaponry and we should have complete adaptability. We are still losing drones though, Batch 42 is reporting 40% reduction in forces."
"Have we finished the scan?"
"Yes, we believe if done right we can knock out their engines with one salvo. Provided we fire a full salvo at once, Grand Master."
"Begin the preparation..."

And I'm going to continue my land campaign, for fun. Feel free to throw a nice challenge at me, so I can show off some of my tech.]

Ross stared at the Drone, then at his fellow team members. He slowly lowered his weapon, as did the other Paladins, followed by the regular troops. Seeing that no one else had decided to become the de facto ambassador, Ross stepped forward, and managed to wave stiffly.

"Well hello there, you are a Technonaut, if my debriefing was correct. We-" Ross stared at the other Paladins, and they nodded and glanced at their lowered weapons. "-will accept your surrender, for now. You will be kept as prisoners of war until your commanders kill us, give us enough prisoners or money for a trade, or the war ends. Until then, you will remain peaceful. If you have any weapons, drop them at our feet." Ross pointed at the ground with his gun, before turning around and walking to the only Paladin with a transmitter.

"Hey, can you cook up a batch of dropships for us to get out of here? But replace one with an 'Ironwall' class. I'll take a squad and continue to scan the area for any more of these suckers." Ross smiled and nodded as the other Paladin saluted and began to transmit the message.
Glancing at the survivors from the short firefight, Ross picked out a few and began to separate them from the ones that would stay to guard the Drones as they left to be held captive on one of the colony ships.

As another dropship flew overhead, with a AMTS attached the bottom, Ross began to dread whatever was going to come next in his campaign over land. From what he had heard, the Technonauts had a nasty habit of adapting to your weaponry, making their defenses more obnoxious than they usually were. But a well placed rocket would still blow them up. It always did. Right?

Ross looked at the transmitter, and he nodded in understanding, and began speaking some more into his com-link.
He then waved at one of the lightly armored Paladins, carrying a pack containing a small computer, and began to tell him about the codes, after he nodded Ross turned back to the Technonaut drones.

"You can give the weapons codes to him, and I have to leave to scout out for more of your buddies, so I'm off. I hope you have a good time in the detention area."

And with that, Ross turned around and walked over to the troops he had gathered. One of them being a regular military man with a transmitter, he asked them to get another dropship to carry them to the next landing zone. As the cargo doors opened Ross glanced one last time at the drones before hopping onboard to head to the next destination.

-Pats back for catching reference-]

The engineer began punching in the codes for the weapons, and when he was done, he stood up and looked at the Technonaut.
"If you would try to fire your weapon, that would help in making sure you are secure and ready for transport. Once that's done, round up your buddies so we can get back to the demilitarized zone for your detention." He pointed at what he believed to be a weapon and waited patiently.

--

Ross clutched the bar than ran across the dropship for stability when a soldier was standing up and slowly walked over to the cockpit, trying not to trip whenever there was a burst of turbulence or an anti-aircraft shot. As he approached the cockpit two more dropships, as well as a fighter escort fell into position. After a prompt exchange of greetings and codes, the nearest dropship pilot asked for our destination.

"We're just scouting around to find a hot zone. Then we're going to drop in, clear it out, and continue. Most of the resistance pockets this side of the planet are gone, it's the other side that's the problem. If we don't encounter anything too serious, that's where we're heading."

"Roger that. We're heading straight for the other side. These boys are here as an escort, and to clean up any buggers that might shoot us as we fly."

And so the flight continued. Ross accessed a small window to peer outside, and watched as the planet slowly rolled by. As they had expected, there were no major pockets of resistance, and so they neared the far side of the planet.

Slowly the area became darker, areas covered in smoke. As the dropships reached a large river, it became clear that there was a firefight between Federation forces on one side, and a massive entrenched group of Technonauts on the other side. As the escort flew on a large spiral downwards, a group of missiles came out of seemingly nowhere, obliterated two of the escort planes, and severely damaging both Ross's dropship and another one. As the ship fell into a spiral a chunk of the shell ripped off, exposing the soldiers inside to the howling wind. As they fell, they slowly began to realize they were going to crash into the river, on the side of the Heirosoloan Federation marines, luckily. When the dropship smashed into the water, Ross lost consciousness, his world turning to black.

The son of the Planetary Governor had been like most aristocrats, lazy, ugly and fat but also lucky. That luck had held out in the initial crashing of the Technonaut Sphere, as he had been underground and several km away form the initial impact he had survived unlike many others. After emerging from the rubble of his estate he had been quickly taken by the Technonauts with no resistant. He had scoffed at them and even yelled at them when they had treated him like some lonely peasant shoving him with the rest of the unpure that would cleansed soon. The drones had ignored his shouts and threats quickly moving him and the rest into the sphere. But that had been hours ago, maybe even days he thought in his fevered pitched dream...

Pacing back and forth on the bridge Admiral Jed went over his extensive training in his head again and again. In a situation like htis you were supposesd to hook up with allies then eradicate all resistence. Only the allies weren't interested in his ship or his people it was obvious they were interested in the planet. Nothing seem sensible anymore all the caution lights and warnings seemed to blur together. stopping in his tracks which was right in front of the view screen Jed saw the drones some being hit and floating n space others being hit and continuing onward toward his ship. The [I]Zycoon[I] was a fine ship but was never meant for close up bttle and the years in space had weakened her. Shaking his head again and thinking to himself This was never supposed to be a fire fight! Just go to a rescue....

Turning an eye toward his bridge staff he said
"Plan R" All work siezed imediatly all though Jed hadnt talked loud at tall in some way everyone knew this was coming yet no one wanted to believe it.

"Um sir? I dont think we'll make that far."
Jed let out a soft laugh "Unless they take out our engines completely we are going to execute Plan R. By the Federation we are going ot ram that Sphere!"

Afraid I'm crunched for time this week so IC posts may slow to come in, sorry.

IC
The Technonaut Fighters continued to fire on the (Zanoduse) ship. Drone Alpha of Batch Twenty, cleansed number two linked back to the Grandmaster. "The unpure ship has taken damage though it does appear to be accelerating."
"Which direction?"
"Towards the Sphere."
"Concentrate fire on their engines!"
"There is no need reason to yell Grand Master they are still several light seconds from the sphere and have most likely suffered some damage to their engines."
"True, but I want them dead in space not moving towards us, Overmind. So concentrate fire on their engines."

Drone Alpha of Batch Thirty, cleansed number three reloaded its rocket launcher, the hit on the unpure vessel had worked a little to well for its liking. It mentioned to remainder of its 5 man batch to check out the crash site, as most of the dropship had landed within 30 meters of the edge of the river. "Set your weapons to stun, we need some information." "Aye Master."

[OoC; Just so you know, when I say river I mean a huge river, a good mile or so across it.]

Ross woke up to the sound of heavy artillery firing, but it seemed... distant.
As his vision slowly cleared, Ross got a sense of his surroundings. Obviously his fellow marines had dragged him into their defenses, which had become a deathtrap. Entrenched marines with snipers and rockets fired at similarly entrenched Technonauts, with every advantage being wasted on attempted pushes towards the other side. Heaped wrecks of large boats, coupled with destroyed remains of air superiority fighters and dropships, lay smoking or ominously dark towards the center of the river, the two massive bridges spanning the river putting them in the shadows, making them seem even more ominous.
A short distance away were multiple artillery cannons firing away, with weary crews struggling to quickly reload and fire at the entrenched forces on the other side of the river. As Ross watched, a group of lightly armored marines ran p to support their fellow forces, who were hiding behind barricade on the bridge, in an attempt to overwhelm the Technonaut forces with sheer numbers. At that, they were failing. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Ross gathered a group of Paladins, as well as two battle tanks, and pushed up the opposite bridge. A rocket streaked by the tank, narrowly missing it, but the firer was quickly put to rest with multiple return rockets, as well as sniper shots.

The lights on the bridged flickered yet again as another shock wave made its way along the ship.

"Report!"

A nervous engineer looked up form his console and said "Sir, shields are at twenty three percent all along the ship. Weapons are operating at forty three percent. Um engines are at fifty. Hull integrity is at sixty one percen...."

At that moment SLT. Freda spoke up "Sir! They are targeting solely on our engines!"

Shaking his reptillian head Jed looked at the engineers console

"First concentrate fire on the drones if we cant knock them down we can at least stop stall them from destroying our engines."

He points a claw toward the engine compartment.

"Now I want you to divert all shields to the engines now. Also I want all none essential crewmen and marines to escape pods. Four seconds before we hit that thing I want all escape pods launched to the surface. Now all engines full!"

Slt. Freda noddeed and sent out a an alert all through the ship. Men and women ran to the escape pods to and throw. Some carring weapons such as phasor rifles or tools they use for their jobs. Most of the crewman have some injuries from minor to serious. While most of the soldiers are unscathed.

While all this is going on the Zycoon is inching toward its target.

[OoC; When one 'batch' adapts to weapons, do all the other batches adapt at the same time?]
Depends on quite a few things but since the sphere is currently off planet and the ground forces are currently (semi-)cut off from the overmind, no it will for the most part be one batch adapting at a time or at least one location adapting at a time.

[OoC; Just so you know, when I say river I mean a huge river, a good mile or so across it.]
Yeah, and I assume that the main/part of the dropship continued on somewhat and crashed closer to the opposite shore.

"Well?"
"Its is done grand master."
"Good, divert the energy going to the engines to the power up."
"I don't think that is wi"
"I don't care what you think overmind, what I care about is that the weapon is charged. Now order the remaining drones to withdrawal."
The Sphere engines powered down as the sphere started to glow a sickly green, an almost blue electric spark could be seen around a newly appeared hole towards the center of the ship as the drones began to withdraw from the unpure ship.

Master X-092 continued to stare at the viewscreen at the front of the sphere's "bridge", they had already been onway to the unpure planet for several hours now and still had a decent amount of time before they would arrive. It had received only a few reports since the intial contact with the grand master, it seemed the space battle was going into their favor though the GM didn't like the maneuvers the unpure had taken... but the ground battle was a different story, the 2nd unpure set had already taken back the F&D settlement that the GM's sphere had destroyed and had apparently even captured a few batches though the links that each batch carried within them had provided a decent amount of intel for the destruction of the 2nd set once X-092 and his 3 other spheres could arrive...

F-6 continued to hum, grinning at its captors, they no doubt had some irking as to what the tune was though they wouldn't know, let alone hear, what the 2nd layering meant and they never would if things went to plan. Hacking the commutation systems of the unpure had proven ridiculously easy, only a 64 encryption theme had been F-6's original thought. once it had been hacked establishing contact with batch 66 and the overmind had proven a bit difficult but F-6 had done it, detailing the plan to both groups and giving its report of the unpure's tech studied so far, the overmind had seemed pleasantly surprised by the sudden influx of information and had quickly approved the batch's plan..

[OoC; Can robots grin or hum? Not really a lot to respond to, and I'm not doing anything for mister F&D >.>]

A nearby soldier glanced at F-6, listened to the robot humming, and stood up, grabbing a small sphere. He walked over to F-6 and smiled at him.

"Hello Mr. Robot. This little sucker is meant for annoying captives who hum songs that we don't want to hear. Since you guys are robots we had to fix this up so you can't pull anything tricky. It'll stop sound, physical objects, that means you, and if we feel like it we can press a button and it'll emit an low power EMP that will disable you for a while, and stop any frequencies from going in or out. Just to be certain. But we're nice so we'll keep you conscious." The soldier kicked the robot before dropping the sphere. A bubble surrounded F-6, locking him in for the time being.

"...Uh sir their engines have stopped."Glancing up Admiral Jed had a puzzled look on his face
"What do you mean their engines have stopped?"

The crewman stuttered "Um sir exactly that.....but they're charging something."
Shaking his head Jed growled "Put the sphere on the view screen." when the picture came on Jed's reptilian tail twitched and he squinted at the green lightSuddenly panic showed in his voice as he said "Launch the escape pods Now!"
All through out the ship thumps were felt as hundreds of pods streak toward the surface of the planet.
SLT Freda looked up from her console and asked "Sir, what its the plan?"
Still staring both eyes at the glowing sphere he said
"I want all power through out the ship except auxilary diverted to the engines. If they get us before we ram them I want to be as close as possible when that thing goes off."

Yes and Yes(say by creating a slight hum in their power cores that would be audiable and doing it in a controlled fashion)

IC(Dropship/prisoner ship)
Continuing to grin as best a cyborg could, F-6 continued to flux its power core. Nodding to the rest of his batch, he activated the sub routines causing his power core to hum even higher again in a sort of musical way, almost like a neutral tone humming daisy (http://www.palantir.net/2001/tma1/wav/daisy.wav) daisy over and over. A green light awashed over F-6 with the other Technonauts disappearing in an equally bright blue right before F-6's core was breached creating a 2 kg hydrogen matter-antimatter reaction as its remaining fuel mixed with the air/shield.

..(Bridge)
The remaining Technonauts steadily began to retreat from the bridge and surrounding area, the temper resistant detonators had been set. Prisoners and the injured had been carted to the rear and the rear action had steadily began.

"The weapon is charged Grand Master."
"Good enemy position?"
"Close enough to cause at least some damage, though waiting isn't exactly better."
"Then release the hell hounds(beam)!"
With those simple words, a roughly spherical hole was opened in the mid-section of the technonaut sphere, the first beam was a sickly looking green beam designed to knock out all electronics on an enemy ship, the second beam released 7 seconds after was an emerald green designed to strip any plasma shielding that may have remained from the previous battle and the third and final beam was a dark dark green one specially designed to wipe out any and all known organic life though (un?)fortunately the technonauts saw no need to wipe them out and still had some hope of capturing the ship and taking it into the collective.
