AURORA - Following the hot water of AHSCA and the now transitional Ryou Republic, duchess Villa has considered opening up a new Foreign Affairs Minister to better coordinate the AHSCA government on the international stage. The task is currently charged to the Congressional Head unofficially, or to the state leaders, but now there is a consideration to open a new position for a Foreign Minister. She is now proposing a Constitutional Amendment for the task at hand. The Foreign Minister will at the very most handle the matters of the Embassy Isle, negotiating with other Foreign Ministers, making state tours abroad and opening trade and defense deals with countries.
There is mixed reaction in the congress, some arguments against the hiring of another cabinet mostly is concerned with the already fledgling AHSCA economy hiring a new staff member continues to put a strain on taxpayers. Some in the National Lesbian Party feel Shino's desire to appoint is mostly out of Party Leader Kena's mishandling of the Ryou situation while Shino was away.
"It's not out of spite, and not out of punishment." Shino maintains "Ms. Kenea has doone a wonderful job, but most Government do not place all the tasks of Government on one alone. AHSCA needs a foreign minister to better coordinate our relations."
Despite the opposition there is much support from all parties in the Congress. At present there isn't a heavy amount of Foreign relations teaching among the Congressional people. Even most of AHSCA's ambassadors abroad have grown up in humble circumstances. Shino may look abroad to bring in a Foreign Minister to work with AHSCA ambassadors and help prepare a new appointee to the office.
